The Order of Illuminati

May Day is a holiday celebrated by communists and pagans throughout the world. The day was chosen by communists as their special day for multiple reasons, but one stands out; namely, because May 1, 1776 was the date of the founding of the conspiracy’s predecessor, the Order of Illuminati. The world-wide communist conspiracy grew out of the Illuminati cabal and is its modern standard bearer. Today we will examine the objectives and principles of the Illuminati-communist conspiracy.

conspiracy47

We begin with a few basic facts about the Illuminati. First, it is beyond dispute that the Order of Illuminati existed and was founded in Bavaria. It is beyond dispute that the Bavarian government attempted to suppress the Order. And it is also beyond dispute, though “experts” lie to conceal the fact, that the Order continued on in other locations and under different names after it was ostensibly suppressed in Bavaria.

The Illuminati’s founder was a man named Adam Weishaupt, who used the alias Spartacus in his correspondence. Weishaupt was an ethnic Jew raised and trained by Catholics and Jesuits. We know he studied the Kabbalah, that is, Jewish occult mysticism. He had a working knowledge of Masonry and was later initiated into the Strict Observance Lodge in Munich. He also worked, until his conspiratorial activities were uncovered, at the University of Ingolstadt as a professor of Catholic canon law.

On May 1, 1776, Franz Anton von Massenhausen, Max Edler von Merz, Bauhof, and Andreas Sutor joined with Weishaupt in his conspiracy. Together, they formed a society called in German, Perfectibilisten, or Perfectibilists (sometimes rendered as Perfectionists). The secret society later came to be known as the Order of Illuminati.

Weishaupt and his fellow initiates in the cabal wove occult ideas together with Masonic rituals and added Christian window dressing. Their aims, however, were anything but Christian. Ostensibly, the Illuminsts were philanthropists fighting for the betterment of society. Indeed, they sought the “perfection” of man, similar to how the communists wanted to create what they called “the new Soviet man.” They spoke of Liberty and fraternity and put a premium on education, or illumination. Their chief symbol was a symbol of wisdom, the Owl of Minerva – the very same used by elitist Bohemian Club today. The outward veneer, however, concealed a writhing darkness within.

The ultimate goal of the Order was to usher in a one-world government and one-world religion. This world government would be a type of elite oligarchy or dictatorship of an enlightened, or “illuminated,” few who had shaken themselves free from the dogmas, superstitions, and chains of established religions and governmental systems. Naturally, the Illuminists would sit at the pinnacle of this Platonic system of philosopher kings. Their religion would be a type of ecumenical occultism similar to that set forth by the Theosophists and other New Agers who look to Lord Maitreya and the Hierarchy of Ascended Masters for spiritual guidance. At the end of the day, what the Illuminati promoted was Anti-Christ.

Illuminati51

Because of his occult persuasion, Weishaupt chose a significant occult holiday on which to found his Order. In his unsurpassed book on the Illuminati, titled Perfectibilists, Terry Melanson gave some background to the May 1 origin. He wrote:

The chosen date of May 1st for the Order’s birth also has semiotic significance. Traditionally, May Day celebrations are a remnant of fire and sun worship, variously known as Beltane in the British Isles, and Walpurgisnacht in Germany and northern Europe. Weishaupt was aware of these “fire festivals” on the first of May, and instituting his Order on that day – in tandem with professing fire worship as the religion of Illuminism – was, symbolically speaking, a stroke of genius” (Terry Melanson, Perfectibilists: The 18th Century Bavarian Order of the Illuminati, 218).

It is not my present purpose to discuss the pagan aspects of Illuminism in significant detail or to explain the histories of Walpurgisnacht or Beltane, though some explanation of the former will follow. However, one must never forget that Illuminism is synonymous with Satanism, occultism, and paganism. The global Marxian-Illuminati conspiracy is, as the great statesman J. Reuben Clark, Jr. referred to it, “organized paganism” (J. Reuben Clark, Jr., “The Task Ahead,” General Conference, October, 1959).

In his foundational book Fire in the Minds of Men, the late author and professor James Billington, who served as the Librarian of Congress, explained the Illuminati’s occult and Masonic connections like this:

The revolutionaries’ primitive vision of the world as a dualistic struggle between the forces of darkness and of light may originate in the neo-Manichaean view of Weishaupt’s followers that their elect group of “illuminated ones” was engaged in struggle with “the sons of darkness,” their categorical name for all outside the order. The name for the order was initially uncertain (Perfectibilists was used and Bees considered); but the name Illuminist was apparently chosen from the image of a sun radiating illumination to outer circles. At the very center within the inner circle of Areopagites burned a candle symbolizing the solar source of all illumination. The Zoroastrian Manichaean cult of fire was central to the otherwise eclectic symbolism of the Illuminists; their calendar was based on Persian rather than classical or Christian models.

Pseudonyms and symbols, which had precise esoteric significance in Masonic lodges, became deliberate instruments of camouflage for the Illuminists. Ingolstadt was both Eleusis and Ephesus; Munich was Athens; Vienna, Rome. Weishaupt’s own Illuminist name of Spartacus, the leader of a slave revolt in ancient Rome, provided a hint of revolutionary commitment; but his original key collaborators took the names of the Greek Ajax and the Egyptian Danaus respectively, and other names ranged from Tamerlane to Confucius.

The Illuminists attempted to use the ferment and confusion in Freemasonry for their own ends. Weishaupt joined a Masonic lodge in Munich in 1777; and attempted to recruit “commandos” (groups of followers) from within the lodges of the Bavarian capital. Late in I780, Weishaupt’s campaign spread to all of Germany and to the pseudo-knightly higher orders of Masonry with the entrance into Weishaupt’s inner circle of Baron Adolph Knigge. He was a native of Hanover and a leader of occultism in Frankfurt, which soon replaced Munich as the leading “colony” of the movement. For five intensive years (until Knigge left the order in July 1785), the Illuminists recruited largely among those who had belonged to the most popular of the German higher Masonic orders, the Strict Observance. The Illuminist technique was, first of all, to discredit the more conservative rival order by fair means (helping the conference of occult orders at Wilhelmsbad in 1782 to determine that the Strict Observance Lodges were not in fact descended from the Knights-Templars) and foul (arguing that the Strict Observance Lodges were secretly controlled by “unknown superiors” who were in fact Jesuits in disguise).

The Illuminists coopted the organizational structure of their conservative Masonic rival; in the process, they acquired some of the mysterious allure that they had not possessed as an arid cult of rationalistic intellectuals. Illuminism also became much more political. Weishaupt appears to have initially seen Masonry as a kind of intermediate training ground for Illuminists – after they had entered the order but before they joined the secret inner circles” (James H. Billington, Fire in the Minds of Men, 94-95).

There’s a lot to unpackage and digest here. We won’t attempt it all today, but a few aspects deserve greater attention. There will be more on the Masonic connection shortly. At the moment, let’s focus on the matter of “the image of a sun radiating illumination to outer circles.”

The Illuminists saw themselves as the rising sun for mankind. They were to be the group who would bring light to the world and perfect mankind. They were the heralds of the dawn of a new day. It is particularly interesting, then, that the image of a rising sun was and is used by communists throughout the world. It is one of their most commonly used symbols.

Most notably, the emblem of the Soviet Union is a sun rising over the globe. Jordan Maxwell has done a lot of interesting research on the topic of ancient Egyptian sun worship (i.e. Aton/Aten worship) and its connection with world communism. Maxwell is virulently anti-Christian, however, so exercise caution when listening to him. Regardless, his research on the occult aspects of communism is quite noteworthy. Maxwell’s research confirms the link beyond any reasonable doubt.

ussa-national-emblem

As Billington mentioned above, the Illuminati deliberately aligned themselves with pagan traditions, calendars, dates, symbols, rituals, and rites. Much of this was borrowed from Masonry. Many believe Masonry to be a modern invention. In fact, it is quite ancient. Albert Churchward, a Mason, wrote extensively about Masonry’s Egyptian roots. In one book, he explained:

If Masonry had not its origin in the Sacred Mysteries of the Ancient Egyptians, how could these rites and ceremonies, signs and symbols, have found their way into it? These sacred mysteries were the same amongst the Priests of the Mayas in Central America and Peru in South America.

The passwords for the various degrees are the same, or have the same meaning; the signs and symbols are the same; and the Rituals are identical; which can be proved by any Brother who will take the trouble to learn to read the old hieroglyphic languages. . . .

From the downfall of the old Egyptian Empire, five thousand years ago, or more, up to the last few hundred years, we have passed through a dark and degenerate age. Then our altars were thrown down, our Brotherhood scattered over the face of the earth, and some of our secrets were lost to many. But there were remnants of the Brotherhood who went forth from Egypt into various parts of the world, carrying the true doctrines and secrets with them, some one part, some another.

. . . the so-called Lodges in England and Scotland were formed by a scattered few, who, to avoid the terrors of the law, and to keep their religious rites and ceremonies pure and unsullied, as they had received them from the parent source – old Egypt – met in secret places and had resort to private meetings. This, therefore, was one original source” (Albert E. Churchward, The Arcana of Freemasonry: A History of Masonic Signs and Symbols, 108-108, 111-112).

The “Brotherhood” of Masonry influenced the “Brotherhood” of the Illuminati – especially in the way it presented its rituals. Masonry is an imitation of God’s Priesthood and, as such, it’s fitting that Lucifer’s priesthood has adopted similar trappings.

Freemasonry70

A Masonic initiation

Two authors gave us an insight into how the conspiratorial Brotherhood operates, keeps its members in line, and consolidates power. They observed:

It is impossible to achieve high levels of initiation within Freemasonry unless one is hand picked by those of the higher degrees. In order to do this, one must meet their criteria of wealth, status, social class and character type. By the time the twentieth degree is reached a minimum of professional level income is required to fund progression through the system. The result of this financially dependent progression is that the top level members of the Brotherhood elite are among the richest, and most powerfully influential people in the world. They are also responsible, directly and indirectly for most of the money/power based crime such as the illegal drugs industry, political assassinations, Satanism and mind control which goes on every day, all round the world.

At the apex of the pyramid of the Brotherhood are the select few who actually know the full agenda of the organisation. These privileged elite have become known as the ‘Illuminati’, which is Latin for ‘illuminated ones’. All other members (nearly five million world-wide) are ignorant of the true purpose of their individual organisation as a front for the Illuminati. Only the most suitable are selected to rise in the ranks, those recognised as being wealthy, ambitious and corrupt enough to perpetuate the ultimate goal which is world domination. No one but the Illuminati actually knows anything of importance and therefore cannot betray the game plan. Everyone else provides a front, a smoke screen of ignorance and misinformation and all must offer complete obedience to the will of their organisation or be banished (or worse). . . .

Betrayal of the Brotherhood is the worst crime possible in the eyes of its members and is ultimately punishable by death. The Brotherhood is all powerful: all top level members of the police and military forces around the world are placed there through the Brotherhood as Brotherhood tools. Judges and lawyers, media moguls, businessmen and politicians are recruited so that no member of the Brotherhood elite is ever in danger of being held accountable by the System for any crime or misdemeanour. The Brotherhood can, and quite literally does, get away with murder because it is also the law which opposes it. If a non-Brotherhood member should slip through the net and achieve high status then there are ways to ensure that such people are unable to achieve their full potential . . . It infiltrates every area of our society at all levels, but at the top, in the highest social and monetary bracket, the Brotherhood prevails almost in total. It is the single largest vehicle for the perpetuation of the Luciferic consciousness on Earth” (Ivan Fraser and Mark Beeston, “The Brotherhood and the Manipulation of Society”).

This description captures the essence of how the world power structure actually works. It correctly demonstrates that those in positions of power are often not those who deserve to be there, but those who have sworn allegiance to the “invisible hand,” as it’s sometimes called. The account also accords perfectly with what an ancient prophet-historian documented about the workings and goals of Satan’s secret societies. Of their selfish and diabolical goals, this ancient man of God wrote simply:

[I]t was the object of all those who belonged to [this] secret band to murder, and to rob, and to gain power, (and this was their secret plan, and their combination)” (Helaman 2:8).

zackcoverfullfinalresizePNG

This inspired writer then explained:

Satan did stir up the hearts of the more part of [them], insomuch that they did unite with those bands of robbers, and did enter into their covenants and their oaths, that they would protect and preserve one another in whatsoever difficult circumstances they should be placed, that they should not suffer for their murders, and their plunderings, and their stealings.

And it came to pass that they did have their signs, yea, their secret signs, and their secret words; and this that they might distinguish a brother who had entered into the covenant, that whatsoever wickedness his brother should do he should not be injured by his brother, nor by those who did belong to his band, who had taken this covenant.

And thus they might murder, and plunder, and steal, and commit whoredoms and all manner of wickedness, contrary to the laws of their country and also the laws of their God.

And whosoever of those who belonged to their band should reveal unto the world of their wickedness and their abominations, should be tried, not according to the laws of their country, but according to the laws of their wickedness, which had been give by [the society’s founders]. . . .

Now behold, those secret oaths and covenants . . . were put into the heart of [the founder] by that same being who did entice our first parents to partake of the forbidden fruit. . . .

And behold, it is he who is the author of all sin. And behold, he doth carry on his works of darkness and secret murder, and doth hand down their plots, and their oaths, and their covenants, and their plans of awful wickedness, from generation to generation according as he can get hold upon the hearts of the children of men” (Helaman 6:21-24, 26, 30).

When you read this ancient account and then examine the Order of Illuminati and its offshoots, you’re inevitably struck by the similarities and consistency. Their secret system of “justice,” that is, of disposing with defectors and making members toe the party line, is remarkably the same. And their tactics of murder and plunder are almost wholly identical through the ages. Referring to this ancient secret society, which was called the “Gadianton Robbers,” and comparing it with the modern communist-Illuminati conspiracy, the esteemed Ezra Taft Benson declared:

When all of the trappings of propaganda and pretense have been pulled aside, the exposed hard-core structure of modern communism is amazingly similar to the ancient Book of Mormon record of secret societies such as the Gadiantons. In the ancient American civilization there was no word which struck greater terror to the hearts of the people than the name of the Gadiantons. It was a secret political party which operated as a murder cult. Its object was to infiltrate legitimate government, plant its officers in high places, and then seize power and live off the spoils appropriated from the people. (It would start out as a small group of “dissenters” and by using secret oaths with the threat of death for defectors (Hel. 11:25-26) it would gradually gain a choke hold on the political and economic life of whole civilizations.)

The object of the Gadiantons, like modern communists, was to destroy the existing government and set up a ruthless criminal dictatorship over the whole land. . . .

The stratagems of the leaders of these societies are amazingly familiar to anyone who has studied the tactics of modern communist leaders” (Ezra Taft Benson, “The American Heritage of Freedom – A Plan of God,” General Conference, October, 1961).

Illuminati17

The honest observer must conclude that Satan’s game plan has remained the same. The actors have changed, the tools of the trade have changed, and the outward names and forms vary, but the core ideology, aims, and essence have been handed down from generation to generation and today dominate our world. Whether you look at the Masons, Jesuits, communists, New Agers, Sabbatean Kabbalists, or others, you find the same basic elements.

A final word about Masonry seems prudent before we move on. Please do not believe, as many do, that anyone involved in Masonry is an evil anti-Christian or a plotter against humanity. It’s simply not true. Masonry itself actually contains large gems of truth that fit beautifully within the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many good, honorable people who were not conspirators in any evil plot – such as America’s Founding Fathers – have belonged to it. Indeed, in the early days, many Masons fought against Illuminati infiltration of their lodges. In Berlin, for instance, one lodge called the Order a “masonic sect that undermines the Christian religion and turns Freemasonry into a political system” (Melanson, Perfectibilists, 26).

The Craft originally emanated from a good source but has been hijacked and corrupted through the centuries by uninspired and designing men. Those who hijacked it engrafted upon it Satanic rites, rituals, and rhetoric. Today, it is used by the Illuminati as a recruiting mechanism. Adam Weishaupt regarded Masonic lodges as the Illuminati’s “nursery garden” (Nesta Webster, Secret Societies and Subversive Movements, 209-210). Other high-level communists and radicals have likewise admitted that they use Masonic lodges as recruiting stations for higher conspiracies that lower-level initiates are oblivious to. Again, be careful not to lump all Masons together incorrectly or, for that matter, to assume that because Masons had a prominent hand in founding the United States that America is the chief power in the New World Order. It’s simply not true.

I have thus far referred to the founding date of the Illuminati as May 1, 1776. This is factual. However, the founding of the ideology of Illuminism is much more ancient. As I’ve endeavored to point out, and as both ancient prophets and modern researchers have identified, the characteristic doctrines of the Illuminati go back to the very beginning.

Strictly speaking, this massive conspiracy against mankind has its origins in the pre-earth days when Lucifer rebelled against God, initiated what the Apostle John called a “war in heaven” (Revelation 12:3-9), sought to “exalt [his] throne above the stars of God” (Isaiah 14:12-17), and was eventually cast down to earth with his unembodied followers. Starting with Cain, the first murderer, Satan has exerted his cunning influence to induct people into his conspiracy – which, in the final equation, is a war against Christ and His followers (Revelation 12:17). The chaos we’ve seen in the word down through the millennia is largely attributable to this Anti-Christ conspiracy. However, the Adversary has suffered setbacks from time to time and has been forced to regroup, restrategize, and refocus. The Illuminati is the product of the most recent refocusing.

Illuminists seek worldly wealth and power. However, they also seek spiritual power. They seek to be the high priests of their god – Lucifer. They seek his protection both here and in the next life. It seems they believe that they will be shielded from divine punishment for their hedonistic debauchery, lying, theft, and murders if they throw in their lot with Satan. In quotes I won’t share here, high-level Masons and occultists like Albert Pike, Aleister Crowley, and Helena Blavatsky, make it crystal clear that they see Lucifer as a benevolent being who brought light to mankind and freed us from the intolerant cruelty of Jehovah. They falsely believe they are working for god just as Christians know we are serving the real Lord Jesus Christ. Just as Christians expect to be heirs of glory alongside Jesus Christ (Romans 8:16-17), Illuminists expect to be crowned by the hand of Lucifer in his kingdom. And no doubt they will receive their place in his kingdom!

Illuminati25

In a brilliant, but hard-to-find pamphlet, J.R. Ledkins wrote:

The objective of the Illuminati is to establish a one world government with Lucifer as its prince. Members of the Illuminati have literally sworn an oath to dethrone the Christ and to replace Christianity with pure Satanism. . . .

The leaders of the Illuminati . . . are a small but very powerful group of international bankers. They have induced others into their order to include educationalists, economists, etc. These men have accepted the Luciferian doctrine of Adam Weishaupt” (J.R. Ledkins, “Wherefore the Lord Commandeth You”, 41).

Another researcher has described the Elite’s pact with Lucifer in this way:

Secret knowledge equals power, the intended end result being (global) control – which is what the New Underworld Order perpetrators are seeking. This is of course the most demonic form of idolatry. Remember what Satan said to the Lord when he was tempting Him?: ‘Again, the Devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me’. ALL ‘kingdoms’ are in Satan’s hands.

What these geomasonic New Underworld Order fanatics, members of the congregation of the Synagogue of Satan (the Illuminati), have done, is the precise opposite of what the Lord did: they have fallen down before Satan to worship him. But Satan, being ‘the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning’ and ‘the author of confusion’, is of course playing deadly games with them, which is what his demons invariably do when invoked. All conjuration runs the extreme risk that those doing the invocations will certainly be deceived. Satan is not a reliable partner, and cannot easily be shaken off once a person has entered into an agreement with him or his minions” (Christopher Story, The New Underworld Order, 185).

The Elite are in for a rude awakening in the day that their god is dragged down to hell in chains (Isaiah 14:12-19). But for the present, they believe they’re on the winning side. They believe, according to the Jewish Kabbalist tradition, that Jesus is in hell burning. They believe their god – the supreme authority over worldly kingdoms – is the true god.

As part of their effort to paganize the world, the conspirators promote atheism. The communists in particular promote militant atheism. It might seem counter-intuitive for Satanists to promote atheism, but it makes sense if you think about it. At the top, these “atheists” are true believers in spirits, beings from higher realms, and supernatural power. Many of them are followers of Lord Maitreya or various other Ascended Masters of Wisdom and have attested to personal visitations from these demonic entities.

The Elite are occultists, pagans, Satanists, Kabbalists, and Witches. They’re Satanists like Karl Marx, attend pagan rituals like Vladimir Lenin, consult the Kabbalah like Adam Weishaupt, and participate in Mithraism like the popes. They perform Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA). They are big on putting occult symbolism on money, in music, in movies, in architecture, and so forth. They know, however, that establishing atheism to breakdown faith in Christ is a necessary step to ushering in a world occult order. Only by breaking down faith in the Savior and in sound institutions can faith in something else be engendered.

The Illuminati understand that they must break down society before they can remold it in their own image. Vibrant Christian societies don’t suddenly collapse – they must be eroded gradually from within. This erosion strategy was promoted by Lenin, among others, and finds its subtlest form among the Marxist Fabian Socialists. Their efforts are currently directed at breaking down and demoralizing society according to the communist plan spearheaded jointly by communist provocateurs from the bottom and elitists like the Rockefellers from the top. From the ashes of Western Christian civilization, these collaborators expect the phoenix of occult Luciferianism to rise.

Illuminati46

Bohemian Grove

I repeat: A preliminary step to establishing global occultism is to quench faith in Jesus Christ, break down societies, crush nationalism, erode cultures, end national sovereignty, and establish a system of global governance. A one-world government is the prerequisite to a one-world religion. The political battles must be won before the spiritual war can be decided. Individual free will and agency must be extinguished before collectivized drones will follow orders. True believers must have their “superstitions” wiped away before they can be initiated into the grand secrets of illumination. This is why ideological communists so fiercely promote international Freedom-destroying, soul-sapping, retrograding bodies like the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, IMF, BRICS, SEATO, NATO, and the Bank of International Settlements, to name just a few. With our Freedom snatched from us, the Illuminati believe our spirits will break and we’ll surrender to their agenda.

Both Karl Marx and Adam Weishaupt disdained religion, except, of course, their own private occultist leanings. In the case of Karl Marx, we have good evidence that he was a full-fledged Satanist. Read Marx & Satan by the Reverend Richard Wurmbrand for the most concise treatment of the topic. Lenin and other Bolshevik leaders also attended pagan rituals while exiled in Italy. As a consequence of the Illuminati-communist formal stance on religion, the Soviet Union demolished churches (as the Red Chinese regime does today), murdered priests (as they do in China), and formally mocked Christian doctrines with so-called Museums of Atheism. Tellingly, some of these Museums of Atheism housed statues of Baphomet! So much for “atheism.”

communism839

The Fabian Socialist symbol

As noted, the Illuminati-communists often used Christianity as a cover and frequently use the guise of Christianity to seduce unsuspecting people throughout the Western world. It was the communists who invented radical Liberation Theology – a common dogma promoted by Marxist Jesuits throughout the Catholic world and particularly in Latin America. The idea is that Jesus was a revolutionary for “social justice” – an early communist, if you will. I draw a few interesting lines from Terry Melanson’s book:

The view of Jesus as a social revolutionary was to have tremendous appeal during the French Revolution, as well as impact upon the subsequent creation of communist ideology . . . Before the advent of Marx’s atheistic materialism, most French conspirators during the revolution claimed Christ “as a sans-culotte at heart if not a prophet of the revolution”; the disciples of Babeuf adopted an alternative to Christianity while at the same time proclaiming Christ as a “co-athlete.” Goodwyn Barmby, the first to use the term communism in England, published journals during the 1840s calling for a Communist Church combining “secular utopianism and Christian ritual.” The powerful Carbonari secret society engaged in elaborate initiation rituals, alluding to Christ “not in Christian terms, but in the Masonic language of ‘Grand Master of the Universe.’” Carbonari initiates were told “that Christ himself was the original Carbonaro and that His Twelve Apostles were the first Carbonari after Him. The aim was obviously not to make good Christians, but to turn good Christians into good Carbonari” . . . .

Just as the outward trappings of Christianity were only a ruse by the Carbonari, so for the Illuminati before them. . . .

To Illuminati initiates it was “revealed” that the true Christians had hid “themselves and their doctrine under the cover of Freemasonry,” which Weishaupt calls “hidden Christianity.” “[I]n the way in which I explain Christianity,” says Weishaupt, “no one need be ashamed to be a Christian, for I leave the name and substitute for it Reason”” (Melanson, Perfectibilists, 187-188).

I judge this counterfeit religious nature of Illuminism-communism to be its deadliest and most dangerous aspect. Inasmuch as it imitates Christianity, but without real authority or truth, it is Anti-Christ. It is entirely Satanic. It is the Synagogue of Satan referred to by John (Revelation 2:9; 3:9). It is Mystery Babylon. It is the beast system. It is the culmination of evil in our world, the carrier of death, the harbinger of destruction, the man behind the curtain, the conspiracy of conspiracies.

According to Vitus Renner, an early deserter from the Order, one of the Illuminati’s mottoes was: “Every King and every priest is a traitor and a thief” (Melanson, Perfectibilists, 31). Their schemes were directed at undermining Faith, Families, and Freedom. They assaulted the Catholic Church, calling the Jesuits a “plague” and forbidding them entrance to their Order (Nesta Webster, World Revolution: The Plot Against Civilisation, 26). They also attacked the concept of monarchy. In this case, I sympathize. I detest anyone who promotes monarchy – especially of the religious variety. The Illuminati’s anti-monarchical plan, followed through to its conclusion, is embodied by the bloody French Revolution.

Illuminati56

There’s insufficient space here to document the fact that Illuminists played a key role in instigating the French Revolution and were the force behind the Jacobins. However, this is the reality. The French Revolution, with its pretensions of “Liberty and Fraternity,” was nothing but barbaric butchery. Heads literally rolled through the streets. The Catholic Church’s property was confiscated. Priests were forced to swear allegiance to the state. Debauchery was instituted. Subversive Jews were allowed free reign in society. This is always the fruit of “democracy” – and “democracy” is always promoted by the communist conspirators whether in France, Russia, China, Cuba, or the United States.

In many ways, the Illuminati ran rampant in France. Fortunately, their revolution faltered and they were forced underground once again. It is accurate to say that the French Revolution was a trial run. It was the forerunner of the Illuminati’s most successful revolution – the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. It was an early salvo in the cabal’s quest for world domination. The next came in 1848 with the publication of The Communist Manifesto and a rash of instigated revolutions throughout Europe.

In 1848, an Illuminati front group called the League of the Just hired Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels to write a manifesto of belief. Some researchers suspect that the Jewish radical Moses Hess – the man responsible for converting both Marx and Engels from Christianity to communism and an early founder of the Zionist movement – was the true author of the manifesto. Be that as it may, in February 1848, the League of the Just renamed itself the Communist League, published The Communist Manifesto, and declared war on the whole world with these words:

[T]he Communists everywhere support every revolutionary movement against the existing social and political order of things. . . .

The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communistic revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win.”

When the artificial revolutions of 1848 fizzled out, the Communist League (i.e. Illuminati) realized the world wasn’t ready for full Illuminism. They went underground again. Eventually, they morphed into the Social Democratic Workers’ Party. One of its factions, the Bolsheviks, was led by the psychopathic Russian occultist Vladimir Lenin and was supported with funds from bank robberies, piracy, and other such “expropriations” by Joseph Stalin and others gangsters. Later, with political and financial assistance from fellow conspirators – Fabian Socialists, big bankers, Wall Street tycoons, Washington bureaucrats, etc. – the criminal clique of Bolshevik gangsters launched their coup in Russia, converting that nation into an Illuminati base of operations known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

communism732

It is in the Soviet Union, and in later communist conquests like Red China and North Korea, that we can more completely see the Illuminati plan in action. Illuminist Karl Marx had advocated, as did Adam Weishaupt, the abolition of private property. The two conspirators had proposed an all-powerful state ruled by a hierarchical dictatorship. Both referred to their system as “democratic.” Both set forth rules for restricting speech, thought, and dissent. Both wrote of the necessity of capturing the youth through indoctrination in public schools. Both spoke of winning over women by calling them victims of the “patriarchy” and promising them “emancipation,” to use Weishaupt’s word. Yes, the “Women’s Liberation” movement so vigorously promoted by Soviet Russia was invented in the mind of Illuminati founder Adam Weishaupt.

Soviet leaders, just like Illuminati henchmen, used aliases (often to conceal their Jewish ethnicity). Lenin used some 100 aliases (Lenin itself is an alias). Stalin, also an alias, used dozens of names during his years of criminal activity. Weishaupt used at least one alias and all of his co-conspirators assumed other names as well. Communists frequently changed their names to conceal their Jewish ethnicity. They also needed aliases to hide themselves while conducting illegal operations.

Both the Illuminati and their communist spawn operated from the shadows in the same way organized crime families operate. From their system of administration, which is the equivalent of a secretive extra-legal body, to their system of furtively funding operations, they operate like career criminals. Indeed, communists are masters of organized crime, theft, counterfeiting, forgery, drug pushing, arms running, prostitution, blackmail operations, assassination, etc. Today’s feared “Russian mafia” is little more than Soviet (Illuminati) intelligence under a new name. They have turned Israel into their own private “mini-state,” to quote author Robert Friedman, and have hijacked the global criminal underworld – just as the Illuminati previously hijacked Masonic lodges, reading societies, and other such endeavors throughout Europe (Robert Friedman, Red Mafiya: How the Russian Mob Has Invaded America, 276-282).

From the first whispers of the Illuminati’s existence, patriots have raised the warning voice against its criminal machinations. On Independence Day, 1798, Timothy Dwight, then president of Yale University, gave a speech wherein he excoriated the Order of Illuminati, warning America of its danger. In so doing, he laid forth many of their principles, which, you will notice, may as well have been taken straight from The Communist Manifesto:

In the societies of Illuminati doctrines were taught, which strike at the root of all human happiness and virtue; and every such doctrine was either expressly or implicitly involved in their system.

The being of God was denied and ridiculed.

Government was asserted to be a curse, and authority a mere usurpation.

Civil society was declared to be the only apostasy of man.

The possession of property was pronounced to be robbery.

Chastity and natural affection were declared to be nothing more than groundless prejudices.

Adultery, assassination, poisoning, and other crimes of the like infernal nature, were taught as lawful, and even as virtuous actions.

To crown such a system of falsehood and horror all means were declared to be lawful, provided the end was good.

In this last doctrine men are not only loosed from every bond, and from every duty; but from every inducement to perform any thing which is good, and, abstain from any thing which is evil; and are set upon each other, like a company of hellhounds to worry, rend, and destroy. Of the goodness of the end every man is to judge for himself; and most men, and all men who resemble the Illuminati, will pronounce every end to be good, which will gratify their inclinations. The great and good ends proposed by the Illuminati, as the ultimate objects of their union, are the overthrow of religion, government, and human society civil and domestic. These they pronounce to be so good, that murder, butchery, and war, however extended and dreadful, are declared by them to be completely justifiable, if necessary for these great purposes. . . .

communism445

It is a remarkable fact, that a large proportion of the sentiments, here stated, have been publicly avowed and applauded in the French legislature. The being and providence of God have been repeatedly denied and ridiculed. Christ has been mocked with the grossest insult. Death, by a solemn legislative decree has been declared to be an eternal sleep. Marriage has been degraded to a farce, and the community, by the law of divorce, invited to universal prostitution. In the school of public instruction atheism is professedly taught; and at an audience before the legislature, Nov. 30, 1793, the head scholar declared, that he and his schoolfellows detested a God; a declaration received by the members with unbounded applause, and rewarded with the fraternal kiss of the president, and with the honors of the sitting. . . .

Where religion prevails, their system cannot succeed. Where religion prevails, Illuminatism cannot make disciples, a French directory cannot govern, a nation cannot be made slaves, nor villains, nor atheists, nor beasts. To destroy us, therefore, in this dreadful sense, our enemies must first destroy our Sabbath, and seduce us from the house of God. . . .

. . . Shall we, my brethren, become partakers of these sins? Shall we introduce them into our government, our schools, our families? Shall our sons become the disciples of Voltaire, and the dragoons of Marat; or our daughters the concubines of the Illuminati?” (Timothy Dwight, “The Duty of Americans, at the Present Crisis,” address, July 4, 1798).

At the end of the day, we can conclude with Terry Melanson that “Weishaupt was definitely one of the original founts from which that ideology emerged” (Melanson, Perfectibilists, 58). Communism is Illuminism. And Illuminism is Satanism. Until we accept this fact, we will never succeed in our fight against organized evil “in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

What we’re really talking about when we discuss conspiracy is ideology. It doesn’t matter to Satan whether a secret society like the Illuminati or a large public group like the Council on Foreign Relations pushes forward his agenda so long as it gets pushed forward. What is consistent, however, is the ideology, the principles, and the plan. The conspiracy ideology we’re dealing with is Satanic communism. That is simply undeniable. It is also undeniable that the Order of Illuminati was the modern instrument for disseminating this revolutionary doctrine throughout the world.

Today, the conspirators operate through a myriad of front groups and organizations. They don’t all belong to the Communist Party USA. They’re not all located in Moscow or Beijing. In fact, many are found in Washington, D.C., New York, London, Paris, Tel Aviv, and other locations posing as CEOs, Wall Street moguls, politicians, bureaucrats, lobbyists, lawyers, priests, professors, etc. And many of those who do belong to outwardly radical organizations are merely pawns and front-men who know little or nothing about the real conspiracy guarded carefully at the top. Even within some of the most elite clubs and councils, not everyone is in on the plan – though they must have a general idea of what they’re engaged in. This is according to the Illuminati plan laid down by Adam Weishaupt:

The great strength of our Order lies in its concealment; let it never appear in any place in its own name, but always covered by another name, and another occupation. None is fitter than the three lower degrees of Free Masonry; the public is accustomed to it, expects little from it, and therefore takes little notice of it. Next to this, the form of a learned or literary society is best suited to our purpose, and had Free Masonry not existed, this cover would have been employed; and it may be much more than a cover, it may be a powerful engine in our hands. By establishing reading societies, and subscription libraries, and taking these under our direction, and supplying them through our labours, we may turn the public mind which way we will” (John Robison, Proofs of a Conspiracy, 112).

Screen+Shot+2018-11-08+at+10.11.16+AM

If you find a group today claiming to be the Illuminati, you can rest assured it is not. Rather, the real conspirators go by other names and cleverly conceal themselves. Often, they’ll use vague terms like “the Order” or “the Group.” Researcher Christopher Story has observed:

All secret societies using ‘The Order’ belong to the Illuminati, which in turn is the primary manifestation of a shadowy ‘Order of the Quest’, dedicated philosophically to maximising ‘human happiness’ without God.

The Jesuits call themselves The Order. Opus Dei refers to itself as The Order. The Yale-based Skull and Bones is The Order. The even more reprobate Ordo Templi Orientis styles itself The Order. Scratch around for secret societies labelled ‘The Order’, and you will immediately see the significance of the word ‘Order’” (Story, The New Underworld Order, Foreword).

The New World Order is little more than the Order of Illuminati in charge. But when full control is achieved, I doubt it will come in the name of “the Order” or “the Illuminati.” Rather, they’ll use one of their various front organizations or a coalition of international groups. Providing a short list of groups that have signed onto the Illuminati agenda might be beneficial.

We can debate all day which of these organizations, or others I have not listed, sits at the top of the conspiracy pyramid. Perhaps the Illuminati itself is a front group, as some believe, for the Rothschild banking dynasty. The crucial thing to know, however, is that they all share a common ideology – Satanic communism. Others prefer the term “globalism.” Some refer vaguely to “the Deep State” or “the Swamp.” Whatever you call it, the members of the conspiracy believe in the Ten Planks of The Communist Manifesto, the various principles set forth by Weishaupt, and the idea of a totalitarian one-world order ruling mankind. In the final equation, it doesn’t matter which of these earthly organizations takes the lead – they are all subservient to Satan, their true founder and puppet master.

The very existence of so many powerful international organizations sharing a common ideology should shock people. Unfortunately, the world has not awoken to this existential threat. Far too many people have been seduced by socialistic something-for-nothing ideas or otherwise have been neutralized by Marxist or pagan indoctrination. The Illuminati-communist plan of demoralization is working.

communism843

If we are to win this fight against the Illuminati-communist conspiracy, we must first acknowledge its existence, admit how dangerous it is, quarantine it like a foul contagion, and eradicate it by any means necessary. Any. Means. Necessary. You don’t compromise with cancer. You don’t peacefully coexist with Bubonic Plague. You don’t negotiate with a criminal breaking into your house at 2 A.M. You extinguish the threat ruthlessly and without hesitation.

An edict from Karl Theodor, duke of Bavaria, correctly described the danger posed by the Illuminati. The duke failed in his attempt to suppress the Illuminati contagion, but if enough people awaken to the danger, we may still thwart the Order’s endgame. Let us always remember and apply this warning from more than two centuries ago:

As more time passes it is further realized how harmful and dangerous the Order of the Illuminati will be for the State and religion, if allowed to flourish here and beyond. It is impossible to predict the deplorable effects that would result for posterity if we stand back, if not handled very seriously while there is still time to forcefully eradicate a disease which is far more daunting than the plague itself” (Melanson, Perfectibilists, 40).

“Just Doing My Job” and Other Things Tyrants Say

Perhaps I missed the “Pandemic Clause” the last time I read the U.S. Constitution, but I don’t recall anywhere in that inspired document where is says that all our God-given rights can be curtailed in a crisis. Yes, the Constitution allows certain specific rights, such as that of habeas corpus, to be temporarily suspended during a time of “Rebellion or Invasion” when the public safety “may require it” (Article 1, Section 9, Clause 2), but, otherwise, the document grants no authority to any officer of government to strip peaceable American citizens of their rights. Yet, during the current Coronacrisis hysteria, which I have openly called a psyop, the Constitution has been almost totally suspended by the president, governors, and local public servants. This article rebuffs that erroneous notion and is addressed to anyone who feels the Constitution can be suspended at their will and pleasure, but more particularly local law enforcement, sheriffs, judges, mayors, city councilors, county commissioners, and so forth.

B36TjgrCEAEM_9d

From New York to California, and from Idaho to Vermont, our sacred rights enshrined in the Constitution have been curtailed as a result of Coronavirus hysteria. Fear has proven to be a far deadlier contagion than this Red Chinese virus. At a time when the economy was booming, confidence in the president was high and rising, and the public was finally starting to talk openly about the dangers of socialism, an illness with an extremely low mortality rate imported from communist China has succeeded in gutting the Bill of Rights and reducing us to patients in a medical police state. In this piece, I won’t discuss the growing mountain of evidence that Coronavirus was and is a false-flag. Rather, I’ll focus my attention on the fact that fear of a limited disease is no justification for violating the rights of an entire nation.

For years, I’ve used the term “mini-tyrants” to refer to those in society, whether private citizens or public servants, who take it upon themselves to destroy people’s rights. In a recent article for The Federalist, John Daniel Davidson used the term “little tyrants” to refer to those who have reacted to Coronavirus by curtailing the American People’s rights guaranteed in the Constitution. In part, Davidson wrote:

We’ve now witnessed local and state governments issue decrees about what people can and cannot buy in stores, arrest parents playing with their children in public parks, yank people off public buses at random, remove basketball rims along with private property, ticket churchgoers, and in one case try—and fail—to chase down a lone runner on an empty beach. All of this, we’re told, is for our own good. . . .

Pandemic or not, this stuff has no place in American society. Petty tyranny of the kind these mayors and local officials are scheming is wholly alien to our customs and way of life, and destructive to the social contract on which our nation is built.”

Amen to every word! It is “wholly alien” to American history, heritage, and law to curtail individual rights simply because a crisis situation arises. Few would argue that society has a right to hunt down subversive groups, like the Communist Party or the MS-13 gang, which are attempting to undermine and destroy society or do harm to Americans, but that’s not what’s happening in the present case. Rather, normal, peaceable American citizens are being targeted, by mini-tyrants in state and local governments, as criminals for simply attempting to go about their daily lives, walk outside, play in the park, assemble in groups per the First Amendment, or go to church.

tyranny26

Let’s highlight a few of the horrid rights violations and outright irrational things governments have done because of Coronavirus hysteria:

In San Clemente, California, the city decided to dump 37 tons of sand onto a skate park to deter skateboarders from minding their own business and harming absolutely no one during the lock-down.

Near Malibu, California, a man was arrested on the beach for paddle boarding alone in the ocean.

In my home state of Idaho, in the little town of Rathdrum, a woman was cited by police for holding a yard sale and threatened with jail time.

In Meridian, Idaho, where I once lived, a mother who was playing in a public park with her kid was arrested for peacefully refusing to obey a cop’s unconstitutional demands to leave. This despicable incident, the protest at the officer’s house that followed, and the rash of pathetic online comments condemning the woman and ripping on anyone who doesn’t grovel before the golden throne of law enforcement and government “authority,” is what finally prompted me to write this article.

In Kentucky, the governor forbade in-person Easter church services and instructed police officers to take down the license plate numbers of all those evil church-goers.

The city of Westport, Connecticut is currently testing “pandemic drones” that detect coughs, sneezes, and people’s temperatures. I’m sure that won’t violate the Fourth and Fifth Amendments.

In Philadelphia, a passenger was violently dragged off a bus by police officers for what crime? Not wearing a face mask. And how did the police know that some random, peaceful man wasn’t wearing a face mask? Why, the bus driver did his Soviet civic duty and called them, of course.

The state of Utah has limited public gatherings to ten people. Utah has also considered, though for the moment delayed, a bill that would allow local governments to “establish, maintain, and enforce isolation and quarantine, and exercise physical control over property and over individuals.”

The Michigan governor has deemed seeds “non-essential” and has forbidden their sale. Yes, seeds. Vegetable seeds. Fruit seeds. Seeds. I can’t think of many things more essential than seeds.

Walmart, Target, Costco, and other stores across the country have closed entire aisles of products, declaring them “non-essential” to conform with state orders closing all “non-essential” jobs and businesses.

The Chinese-owned Smithfield Foods meat plants in South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Missouri, the first of which alone supplies 5% of the nation’s pork, have been shut down.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has used Coronavirus as an excuse to close all gun stores. Not to be outdone, Los Angeles ordered gun stores closed during the “pandemic.” An activist judge agreed that guns are “non-essential” and that the city has the authority to close any business it wants to for any reason it deems necessary.

In Florida, a pastor was arrested for holding church services in violation of a rights-violating stay-at-home order. Pastors in others states have suffered similar persecution.

A toddler’s birthday party in a southern California public park was broken up by an entire goon squad of baton-wielding police officers. It reminds me of the System of a Down lyrics in the song “Deer Dance”: “[V]isible police, presence-sponsored fear. Battalions of riot police with rubber bullet kisses. Baton courtesy, service with a smile.”

The list of arrests and insane, authoritarian behavior could continue on and on, but these suffice to give you the flavor of what’s happening in America today.

This is the sort of behavior that people’s irrational fear engenders. This is the type of thing that people who support draconian stay-at-home orders allow to happen. This is what anti-Americans and mini-tyrants do and support. This is tyranny!

94317342_2943199515733213_3856028033555103744_n

People who are scared of Coronavirus have the right to stay at home and lock their doors if they please. But they do not have the right to force me and my family to stay locked up in our home. They do not have the right to prevent other people from going to work to earn a living. They do not have the right to stop other people from operating their businesses or selling their products. They do not have the right to keep other people from traveling. They do not have the right to prevent others in their community from playing in the public park. They simply do not have a totalitarian authority over the lives, actions, bodies, and property of other people. The most these timid and terrified people can do is stay at home if they truly think self-quarantine is in their best interest.

The general hysteria has shown millions of people to be hypocrites and supremely inconsistent in their views. For instance, isn’t it ironic that the same people who protest for their “right” to murder unborn babies are now supposedly so concerned about society’s health and well-being that they want us to give up our rights for their own personal safety? What happened to “my body, my choice” in these people’s darkened minds? Apparently this privilege only applies to them. These are the same sort of intellectually-stunted individuals who think that vaccines are safe and effective, yet are worried if you don’t vaccinate. At any rate, whether out of fear or ignorance, these cowed people have thrown their lot in with the mini-tyrants who never let a good crisis go to waste.

There is a lot of blame to go around for the hysterical overreactions and tyrannical impositions that have occurred during this Coronacrisis. We can blame those in government who have usurped power and have taken to dictating how we may or may not live our lives. We can blame police who say “just following orders” or “just doing my job” as they violate the Constitution and arrest innocent people who exercise their rights. We can blame the public for their timidity and for tolerating the tyrannical acts. As noted, however, I’m addressing this to public servants.

tyranny23

Police are the ultimate public servants. They are where the rubber meets the road. Their job is to “enforce” laws. But which laws? All laws? Or only constitutional laws? History has established that saying “I was just following orders” is no justification for committing immoral or oppressive acts. “Just doing my job” is what mini-tyrants say. Making the excuse “just doing my job” provides no excuse for implementing tyranny.

Any right-thinking individual must conclude that a police officer’s job is to enforce constitutional laws and protect the rights of citizens. By implication, police have no license to violate citizens’ rights regardless of what the law allows. Thus, it is fair to say that there can be no tyranny unless police acquiesce. A heavy burden and responsibility to rigidly enforce the Constitution and reject that which does not comply with it rests on their shoulders.

One of the things that sets America apart from other nations is that we have a national creed – the Constitution. The Constitution is the keystone of Americanism. It holds the Republic together. It is glue which keeps the fifty states in a workable Union. All public officers are bound to uphold the Constitution and the American People are likewise bound to sustain and obey it. It is important, then, that we understand the Constitution’s most important element – the Supremacy Clause.

In the national Constitution, there’s a thing called the Supremacy Clause. You can find it in Article VI, Clause 2. It states that the Constitution and laws made “in Pursuance thereof,” that is, constitutional laws that don’t violate any of its provisions, “shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.” In other words, the national Constitution trumps any and all state and local laws that touch upon the same objects.

Let’s briefly examine, using three examples, what this means in practice. If a governor forbids you from assembling peaceably in your state, this is a direct violation of the First Amendment which guarantees “the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” This obviously applies to city and state governments, not merely to the federal government. No city can forbid people from peaceably assembling on public property, such as in a park or the steps of the capitol. Next, if a governor forbids church services, he is violating the First Amendment which guarantees American citizens the “free exercise” of their right of worship. Lastly, if a governor or mayor assumes the authority to ban firearms or firearms sales because of a “crisis,” their declarations are null and void because the Second Amendment guarantees that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

92679235_1576638902505998_2350104360890925056_n

As you see, the Supremacy Clause is the linchpin of the entire Constitution. Either the Constitution is supreme and all citizens and officers at any level of government must obey it and all just laws passed “in Pursuance thereof,” or it’s a pointless document with no purpose or efficacy. If we admit that the Supremacy Clause is valid, which we do when we acknowledge the Constitution and claim the rights of citizens, then we also admit that any public servant – mayor, governor, judge, president, senator, sheriff – who passes or enforces a law, decree, or executive order that violates an individual’s rights is in blatant violation of the Constitution. If we are to remain a free nation, we must reclaim the understanding that was so basic to our Founding Fathers; namely, that the People had established the Constitution and, thus, it was obligatory and binding upon them and their representatives.

George Washington explained it this way:

This government, the offspring of our own choice, uninfluenced and unawed, adopted upon full investigation and mature deliberation, completely free in its principles, in the distribution of its powers, uniting security with energy, and containing within itself a provision for its own amendment, has a just claim to your confidence and your support. Respect for its authority, compliance with its laws, acquiescence in its measures, are duties enjoined by the fundamental maxims of true liberty. The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government. But the Constitution which at any time exists, till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole people, is sacredly obligatory upon all. The very idea of the power and the right of the people to establish government presupposes the duty of every individual to obey the established government.”

Notice what President Washington said and did not say. He said that a free people which chooses its own constitution is bound by it. He did not say that the American People are bound to obey any and all laws and dictates that come from government. As noted, the Constitution says that we are bound to uphold the Constitution and laws “made in Pursuance thereof.” A law cannot be in pursuance of the Constitution if it violates portions of the Constitution, such as the First Amendment, Second Amendment, and so on. Any law, then, that violates any provision of the Constitution also violates the Supremacy Clause and is null and void.

To reinforce this crucial concept, which is at the heart of the subject at hand, I give just a few more quotations. In the famous, or infamous, court case Marbury v. Madison, the Supreme Court acknowledged: “All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.”

Constitution89

At the North Carolina Ratifying Convention of 1788, Governor Samuel Johnston referred to the Supremacy Clause and reasoned:

Without this clause, the whole constitution would be a piece of blank paper . . . Every law consistent with the constitution, will have been made in pursuance of the powers granted by it. Every usurpation or law repugnant to it, cannot have been made in pursuance of its powers. The latter will be nugatory and void.”

Finally, in Federalist No. 78, Alexander Hamilton likewise explained:

There is no position which depends on clearer principles, than that every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid” (Jonathan Elliot, ed., The Debates, Resolutions, and Other Proceedings, in Convention, on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution, Vol. 3, 166).

Can anyone read the plain language of the Constitution, and the unmistakable explanations of these good men, and conclude that the Constitution is not indeed the supreme law of the land? If it is the supreme law of the land, then state and local governments cannot violate it and still be in the right – regardless of their oh-so-benevolent reasons and intentions. When any governor, police officer, judge, mayor, county bureaucrat, ad infinitum, violates any provision of the Constitution (e.g. your right to assembly, your right to keep and bear arms, your free exercise of worship, your right to operate a business), then they have overstepped their authority and are in open rebellion to the Constitution and to the People who established it. Their dictates and actions, in these situations, are inherently and expressly null and void. One may even say they are even tyrannical.

As noted, the heart of the matter is the U.S. Constitution. There is no “Pandemic Clause” which nullifies the Constitution in the event of a crisis. There is no clause, section, or article of that document which allows it to be suspended at the say so of Congress, the president, the Supreme Court, your state governor, or your local mayor. It simply cannot be suspended except, as President Washington put it, “by an explicit and authentic act of the whole people.” Otherwise, it is in force and any local, state, or federal decrees, executive orders, or “laws” to the contrary are null and void.

Another issue connected with the Constitution and important to our understanding of the contrived Coronacrisis hysteria is that of rights vs privileges. A privilege can be taken away by the one who grants it. A right, however, cannot be taken away. It can be forfeited by violating another person’s rights, but it cannot be justifiably taken away from a peaceable citizen of this land.

Rights existed before the Constitution. They are inherent in man. He receives them as an endowment from his Creator, as the Declaration of Independence states so plainly. No government, then, can justly take them away unless the individual forfeits them by violating the rights of others. Thomas Jefferson explained:

[R]ightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will, within the limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’; because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual” (Thomas Jefferson to Isaac Tiffany, April 4, 1819).

Liberty or death1

If Jefferson was correct, and he almost always was, then the measures being taken by both our federal and state governments to curb Coronavirus are, by definition, tyrannical. How can they be otherwise? They most certainly violate our individual Liberty as guaranteed in the Constitution; the right of assembly foremost among them. Ah, but it’s a “crisis,” you say; it’s for the “public safety.” I dispute that putting an entire nation under house arrest can control a virus. But let’s assume it’s true that forced quarantine is good medical practice, where does the Constitution tell government it can nullify my Freedom just so it can fight a disease?

I fully grant that in legitimately extreme situations, such as in the face of a subversive enemy attempting to overthrow society from within, the Constitution is perhaps not sufficient. However, this is not such a situation. We’re supposedly faced with a virus akin to the common cold that has a 99% recovery rate and which can be cured with a simple $20 medication. Cite me the article, section, and clause that tells me the Constitution can be suspended in this situation and I’ll be pacified and remain silent.

If you cannot find a provision of the Constitution which empowers government officers to trample the Constitution in a “crisis” and violate individual rights for the so-called “good of society,” then you must, if you’re honest, conclude with me that what’s being done in the name of fighting this “pandemic” is tyrannical. And if you cannot draw this conclusion, I cannot in good conscience stand with you, but must consider you an enemy who seeks to destroy my rights. If you find yourself on the other side of this equation, you’re a mini-tyrant and a traitor.

I recant what I said a moment ago; we actually are in a crisis. However, the crisis is not because of some sickness (which may not even be caused by so-called COVID-19), but because of the despotic overreaches that have occurred as a result of the unfounded hysteria the media has whipped up. That is the real crisis. It is a constitutional crisis. We’re faced with an epidemic of mini-tyrants who, like cockroaches, have come out of the woodwork to capitalize on the public’s fear and massively expand the size and power of government.

Police, mayors, governors, and others have assisted in this wholesale destruction of the Constitution by acquiescing and going along with the tyranny. Yet, they say they’re “just doing their job.” If their job is to destroy the Constitution and eviscerate our rights, then they are correct. If their job, however, is to defend our God-given rights, then what they’ve done is break their oaths, trample the Constitution, and betray the trust of the American People.

Since few in government, the courts, and law enforcement apparently have any desire to stand up for American Freedom, it is our duty as freemen to declare our rights, to hold up the Constitution, and to punish traitors. George Washington once wrote: “[It] is a maxim with me, that in times of imminent danger to a Country, every true Patriot should occupy the Post in which he can render them the most effectually” (George Washington to James McHenry, February 25, 1799). Now is such a time.

The smallest, but perhaps most effective, thing you can do right now in this time of “imminent danger” to our Republic is to fearlessly vocalize your resistance to the tyrannical, communistic lock-down measures in place from coast to coast. You can take to social media to inform others that what is happening is nothing short of tyranny, that it is not for the public good, that it’s destroying the economy, that it is contrary to the Constitution, and that it severely weakens our Liberty. You can be the one who shares critical information with your family and friends both in person and online, because you can rest assured that the mainstream press won’t share it. Indeed, social media and the controlled media are attempting to silence and censor truthful content about the reality of this “pandemic,” cover up rights violations, and keep you in slavish fear. You can the voice of reason in a time of paranoia and fear.

Paul Revere1

I urge you, fellow freeman, to lend your voice to the resistance effort. Stand up for your rights and encourage others to stand up for theirs. Help rally your countrymen against the godless Marxist tyranny that oppresses us. Name names. Note those who vote against the Constitution and against personal Liberty. Organize electoral resistance to these charlatans in the next election. Call out and protest your local police for “just doing their job” to put shackles on you and your family. Educate and, if need be, rebuff your acquaintances, friends, and family members who support measures that, by their nature, are unconstitutional, tyrannical, and aimed at the demolition of our Republic.

Never be ashamed to stand up for your Freedom. Stand boldly and know that others stand with you. Be warned that if you cave to the pressure and go along with tyranny, even if it’s supposedly for the “public good,” you disgrace your nation and everything which the title “American” stands for. And also know that if you sincerely resolve “give me liberty, or give me death,” you stand with the great ones whose names we speak with reverence – Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Jackson, Henry, Hancock, Parker, and so forth. America needs its Sons of Liberty and Daughters of the Revolution more now than ever. It’s your time to show where you stand.

Lexington and Concord

Lay down your arms, you damned rebels, and disperse.”

On April 18, 1775, 700 British troops slunk out of Boston under the cover of night. Their mission was to march to the little town of Concord to capture and destroy a cache of firearms and gun powder that the American “rebels” were stockpiling there. The outspoken patriot leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock had taken refuge in nearby Lexington and would have also been arrested as the British marched to Concord. In short, the Redcoats planned to arrive in Lexington and Concord at dawn and cut the legs out from under the burgeoning American rebellion.

Stand Your Ground

Fortunately for the cause of Liberty, the patriots had developed an intricate surveillance and information network. Committees of Correspondence carried critical messages between the colonies. Informants spied on British troop movements. And messengers on horseback raced between towns with instructions from leaders like Samuel Adams. These organizations were entirely extralegal, but served critical functions and were indispensable to the American Revolution.

As soon as the British had slipped out of their base, they were discovered by the network of American patriots. A predetermined plan was set into motion, beginning with the famous “one if by land, two if by sea” signal. This signal – two lanterns hung in the steeple of the Old North Church – was flashed from Boston to nearby Charlestown to alert the other members of the network that the Redcoats were rowing across the Charles River.

Paul Revere, who was instrumental in the local courier network and in the secret group of spies called the Mechanics, visited the home of Dr. Joseph Warren of the Boston Committee of Correspondence. Dr. Warren had already dispatched a messenger named William Dawes to Concord with the alarming news. Revere was also sent to Concord via an alternate route.

Revere carefully rode through the countryside warning people friendly to the “rebels” that the troops were on the move. He arrived in Lexington just before Dawes and immediately went to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock of the danger. Adams and Hancock were staying in the Lexington home of Reverend Jonas Clark (also spelled Clarke) where they were actively guarded by a number of men from his parish.

Revere and Dawes succeeded in convincing the patriot leaders to flee for their safety and then continued on to Concord. On the way, they were joined by yet another rider, Samuel Prescott. The trio was soon intercepted by British soldiers. Dawes and Prescott managed to escaped and rode on to Concord. Revere, however, was detained, questioned, and had his horse commandeered before walking back to Lexington where he arrived before the first shots of the American Revolution were fired.

After the messengers had alerted the people of Lexington, about seventy minutemen eventually gathered on the Lexington town green. They were led by Captain John Parker. Captain Parker ordered his men not to fire when the British arrived. In fact, he decided to place his militia on the neutral town common instead of block the road to Lexington, which would have been a provocative act. He is reported to have said: “[D]on’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”

America253

Nearby, other minutemen gathered at the Fitch Tavern for a quick breakfast. Their leader, Captain Willson, remarked: “It is a cold breakfast, boys, but we will give the British a hot dinner. We’ll have every dog of them before night.” His words would prove to be truer than perhaps he ever imagined.

When the Lobsterbacks finally arrived in Lexington, after roughing up and even arresting various people along their way, they were incensed to the see Captain Parker’s minutemen lined up, rifles in hand, on the town green. The British gathered in battle formation across from the patriots and fixed bayonets. Even before the British appeared, some of the militiamen were spooked and discussed leaving. Captain Parker overheard the murmuring and responded: “The first man who offers to run shall be shot down.”

The British invaders were led by Major John Pitcairn. Pitcairn rode his horse to within earshot of Captain Parker and ordered: “Lay down your arms, you damned rebels, and disperse.” Apparently Captain Parker and his men decided to fall back, but declined to give up their weapons. Pitcairn again demanded: “Damn you, why don’t you lay down your arms?”

At this crucial point, another British officer behind Pitcairn prompted the troops to fire at the retreating American minutemen. Most books today claim that no one knows who fired the first shot, but the evidence suggests it came from the British side – not from the American militiamen who were at the time falling back. At any rate, Pitcairn then formally ordered his men, with profanity and anger, to fire. The American patriots returned fire and the War for Independence had begun.

Ebenezer Munroe, one of the first patriots hit, yelled out to John Munroe as he turned to fire: “I’ll give them the guts of my gun.” He and the other stalwart militiamen of Lexington exemplified the “Don’t Tread On Me” American spirit. This spirit had long been cultivated by Reverend Jonas Clark and other patriots.

On December 13, 1773, in response to the Tea Act, the men of Lexington had actually adopted a resolution written by Rev. Clark – an early version of the Declaration of Independence, one might say – in which they had declared: “We trust in God that should the State of Our Affairs require it, we shall be ready to Sacrifice our Estates, and every thing dear in Life, Yea & Life itself, in support of a Common Cause.” Facing off against British tyrants on the town common was only the natural next step in their commitment to Liberty.

America9

The battle on Lexington Green lasted only a couple minutes. But when the smoke cleared, eight Americans lay dead and nine others were wounded. Some of those who died had been shot in the back and others were bayoneted by the British jackals. The others melted away into the town or nearby countryside. The British wasted little time in Lexington and marched on to their real goal: The Americans’ guns and ammunition stored at Concord.

While the drama was unfolding in Lexington, numerous messengers were sent into the countryside to inform as many people as possible that the King’s troops were on their way. Samuel Prescott had reached Concord and the local minutemen had gathered together. They were later informed by Reuben Brown that shots had been fired in Lexington. They didn’t know the outcome of the fighting there, but braced for a battle in Concord.

As the British approached Concord, they saw a Liberty pole that had been erected. Tellingly, they cut it down. They began seeing militiamen in the hills along the route. By the time they arrived in the town to confiscate and destroy the patriots’ firearms and ammunition, the minutemen had left the town and spread out into the surrounding areas.

The British immediately embarked on their search-and-destroy mission, aided by lists of patriots’ names provided to them by Tory traitors. Some weapons were successfully hidden and certain townswomen were instrumental in diverting the British away from others. Other public provisions were likewise protected by villagers pretending it was their private property. Despite these efforts, the British soldiers looted a number of the homes, burned some of the buildings, and found some of the armaments, which they destroyed.

With their tyrannical work complete, the British prepared to return to Boston. Their return trip would not go off without a hitch, however. Before the Redcoats could exit Concord, hundreds of militiamen from surrounding areas had gathered under the command of Colonel James Barrett. A war council was held. When smoke and fire were seen in Concord, the patriots decided to move into the town. Colonel Barrett ordered Major John Buttrick to advance on the British, though not to fire unless fired upon. Major Buttrick was heard to say they would “march into the middle of the town for its defence, or die in the attempt.”

America262

Before they could enter the town, the patriots had to cross Concord Bridge which was guarded by British troops. The British fired upon the militiamen as they approached, killing one man. The militia returned fire, killing several British and wounding others. The British withdrew and were joined by others from the town. They squared off with the militiamen for some time. When they finally began their journey back to Boston, they were ambushed on the way by as many as one to four-thousand men from nearby communities who had responded to the warnings of British invasion into their area.

As the Redcoats marched to Boston, they were sitting ducks for militiamen concealed in the trees and hills along the roadside. For hours, the British endured guerrilla fire from American muskets. Along their march, a particularly interesting incident occurred. Samuel Whittemore was seventy-eight-years-old at the time. His house, in the small village of Menotomy, sat on the road that lead to Boston. As the British fell back after their attacks upon Lexington and Concord, Whittemore was warned that they were coming. Instead of running, he prepared to defend his home.

Whittemore set up his musket, pistols, and sword and prepared for the Redcoats. In due time, the British marched through the village, smashing everything as they went. When his door was kicked in by British regulars, Whittemore didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger of his pistols, felling the intruders. He then shot another British soldier who rushed at him. Finally, he went for his sword as still other British soldiers burst into his home. They shot him in the head and bayoneted him thirteen times before ransacking his house and leaving him for dead. But he didn’t die. Incredibly, this brave patriot not only survived, but lived to the age of 98 – living to see America freed from British domination. When asked by his wife if he regretted engaging the British instead of hiding, he promptly replied: “No! I would run the same chance again.”

The Redcoats were harassed on all sides by the American patriots as they rushed back to Boston. They only found relief when they reached the city and General Gage’s reinforcements. The bloody march came to be known as “Parker’s Revenge.” The Battles of Lexington and Concord were costly for the occupiers. At least 73 British were killed with dozens injured and even more who went missing. On the other hand, the “shot heard ‘round the world” ignited the revolutionary spirit throughout the colonies and made a full-scale war for Independence inevitable.

The “shot heard ‘round the world” has been remembered and commemorated by many as Patriot’s Day. In one particular Patriot’s Day address, Major T. Harrison Cummings noted:

Perhaps the most important date in our national calendar, therefore, is the nineteenth of April, 1775. Since, on that day, the blood that was shed in Cambridge and Lexington, marked the first brave resistance of our ancestors to English tyranny, injustice, and oppression, and that resistance brought about the birth of a new nation of freemen.”

America268

Surely April 19, 1775 deserves its place among other special dates such as July 4, 1776 and September 17, 1787. But how many of us remember, let alone go out of our way to commemorate, this exceptional day? How many of us even know the names of national heroes like Captain John Parker and Colonel James Barrett? We have so much to be grateful for as Americans – more than any other people on the planet – yet our forgetfulness of our past, our heroes, and our principles, is nothing short of deafening.

There’s another reason beyond mere gratitude that we should remember the noble American blood spilled at Lexington and Concord. Our national situation is analogous to 1775. The major difference, however, is that the tyranny we face today is far worse than the tyranny our forefathers faced in on the eve of the Revolution. Our ancestors would have never tolerated the abuses that are daily heaped upon us. Yet, most of us pathetically tolerate and endure violations of our sacred rights.

Despite the cowardice that has a hold on so many people, there are millions of us who are not so timid; millions of American patriots who understand our rights, comprehend the Constitution, and prefer to die on our feet as freemen than live on our knees as slaves. The powers-that-be who have hijacked our government believe we will roll over and continue to submit to their dictates because there are many who loudly profess their subservience to the state. But “therein lies the road to war, because those voices don’t speak for the rest of us. You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery . . . Where, then, is the road to peace? Well it’s a simple answer after all. You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, “There is a price we will not pay.” “There is a point beyond which they must not advance.”” (Ronald Reagan, “A Time for Choosing,” October 27, 1964).

We don’t know where the next “shot heard ‘round the world” will be or what will spark it. It may be in Virginia where the newly-elected Democrat regime is busy pushing through egregious gun control laws. It may be in New York where they want to confiscate firearms just like the British hordes who descended upon Lexington and Concord. It may be in Utah where the state government is attempting to usurp a totalitarian authority over people and property. It may be in the mountains of Montana if the national government ever attempts to once and for all abolish the Second Amendment. It might be on a ranch or farm that the government is attempting to steal like they did in the 2014 “Battle of Bunkerville.” We don’t know where or when the government’s despotism will be opposed with deadly force and the powder keg of resistance will be ignited – but it will be eventually.

The best case scenario is that the American People wake up and we only have a limited revolt against the tyrants entrenched in government. The worst case scenario – the scenario that is, unfortunately, most likely – is that the Elite will get their way and plunge the Republic into an everyone-against-everyone melee of mob warfare. In either case, American patriots have a tremendous need to remember the men who stood on Lexington Green and at Concord Bridge.

America115

Americans need to imbibe the spirit of our forefathers. They were real men. They had courage. They knew their rights. They were armed both intellectually, spiritually, and physically against tyrants. They resisted infringements of their rights as all freemen do. They were willing to give their lives to defend their Faith, Families, and Freedom. If we are not prepared to sacrifice everything that they sacrificed in the common cause of Liberty, we’re not worthy to enjoy the level of Freedom they won with their gallantry.

May the names Paul Revere, Jonas Clark, John Parker, James Barrett, and Samuel Whittemore rest on your mind. May the hallowed scenes of Lexington Green and Concord Bridge play continually before your eyes. And may the spirit of Freedom that animated the minutemen who fired the “shot heard ‘round the world” flow through you and inspire you to act against abusive government, when the time comes, as bravely as they did. Long Live Liberty!

Fanatic

Many times during political discussions and debates I have been called a “fanatic.” So it’s time for a confession: Yes, I am a fanatic! I’m a fanatic for Freedom. I’m a fanatic for truth. I’m a fanatic for the Constitution. I’m a fanatic for America.

According to the Oxford Learner’s Dictionary, a “fanatic” is “a person who is extremely enthusiastic about something” or “a person who holds extreme or dangerous opinions.” The word’s etymology is intriguing. Our modern term stems from the Latin words fanum and fanaticus. Fanum means temple or shrine. And fanaticus has several meanings, including “of or pertaining to a temple,” “divinely inspired,” or “possessed.” Both words denote religious behavior – sometimes in a good sense and sometimes in a bad sense. Perhaps it is appropriate, then, to say that a fanatic is one who is fired with a religious zeal for something.

Screenshot_20200414-181633 (1)

If we accept this definition, I must again confess: I’m a fanatic! I’m extremely enthusiastic about Freedom. I’m exceedingly eager to regain and maintain my individual rights. I’m dedicated to my own self-government. I’m hell-bent on safeguarding my Faith, Family, and Freedom.

I believe in the American Gospel of Liberty. I worship at the altar of Freedom. I bow before the throne of Independence. I give obeisance inside the temple of sacred, undeniable, and God-given rights.

My love for Freedom is fanatical, aggressive, and uncompromising. I believe in militant Freedom. I’m a hardened devotee of the principles of Liberty. I believe that only an unflinching and spirited defense of our natural rights can succeed in securing them in the face of the devastatingly evil, vicious, and cunning enemy that opposes us.

President Calvin Coolidge affirmed:

The issues of the world must be met and met squarely. The forces of evil do not disdain preparation, they are always prepared and always preparing . . . The welfare of America, the cause of civilization will forever require the contribution of some part of the life of all our citizens to the natural, the necessary, and the inevitable demand for the defense of the right and the truth. There is no substitute for a militant freedom. The only alternative is submission and slavery” (Calvin Coolidge, The Price of Freedom: Speeches and Addresses, 159).

Our situation is dire. Society is crumbling around us because of the machinations of a worldwide cabal of gangsters. Our families are imploding, by design. Cultural Marxism is running rampant and corroding everything. Things have reached such a critical point that our only option is Liberty or slavery. With everything hanging in the balance, isn’t militant Freedom warranted? Aren’t we justified in being radicals for the cause of our country?

Founding Fathers25

The socialist historian Charles A. Beard did a lot of damage to the Republic by pushing his flawed economic interpretation of the American history, but he did make at least one worthwhile comment. He said:

You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the struggle for independence” (M. Kenneth Creamer, The Reformation of Union State Sovereignty: The Path Back to the Political System Our Founding Fathers Intended – A Sovereign Life, Liberty, And a Free Market, 265).

Repeating the Founding Fathers’ slogans gets you branded as a “dangerous” extremist these days. Saying “Liberty or death,” like Patrick Henry did, can get you on a government watch list. Repeating Benjamin Franklin’s motto “Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God” can get you labeled a potential domestic terrorist. Should being considered an “extremist,” a “radical,” a “zealot,” a “Nazi,” a “fascist,” a “white supremacist,” a “racist,” a “homophobe,” or a “fanatic” deter us from doing what is right? Of course not!

Remember, part of the definition of a fanatic is one who holds “dangerous opinions.” Dangerous to whom? Dangerous to traitors. Dangerous to tyrants. Dangerous to liars. Dangerous to communist riffraff. Dangerous to Satan worshippers. Dangerous to the parasites who feast on the lifeblood of society.

At the end of the day, unless we’re prepared to become die-hard radicals, entrenched extremists, and uncompromising fanatics for our Faith, Families, and Freedom, we don’t deserve any of them. Thomas Jefferson, one of the truest fanatics in all of recorded history, stated: “[A]ll timid men . . . prefer the calm of despotism to the boisterous sea of liberty” (Thomas Jefferson to Philip Mazzei, April 24, 1796). Which are you – timid or brave, afraid or indomitable, servile or independent?

Timid men are not worthy of the blessings of Liberty. Weak people are not capable of self-government. Cowardly nations do not deserve to be free. “The time is now near at hand which must probably determine, whether Americans are to be, Freemen, or Slaves” (George Washington, General Orders, July 2, 1776). When the day of decision comes, and it will come, where will you stand?

America253

I challenge you to become a Freedom fighter. I urge you to become a dyed-in-the-wool American patriot. I appeal to your inner sense of honor and invite you to become an adamant defender of the sacred rights of mankind. I plead with you from the depth of my soul to become an extremist in the cause of justice, truth, and Independence. I call upon you to become dangerous like our Founding Fathers and the Sons of Liberty – dangerous to any who would destroy our birthright of Liberty. I implore you to become a Freedom fanatic.

My Redeemer Lives!

Jesus is my Savior. I love Him! I wish to take this opportunity, as we near Easter time, to testify of His reality, His divinity, and His majesty. This article will be unlike others I’ve written in the past. I seek to tell the story of the Son of God using scriptural statements almost exclusively. In doing so, I hope to convey not only the reality of His mission to redeem mankind, but something of my tender feelings for Him and His Gospel.

Jesus241

Jesus Christ is the “firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created. . . . And he is before all things” (Colossians 1:15-17). “I was in the beginning with the Father, and am the Firstborn,” He has told us (Doctrine and Covenants 93:21). Our world “was made by him” (John 1:10). In fact, “worlds without number” were created, under the Father’s direction, “by the Son” (Moses 1:33).

Before He came to earth as the Redeemer, He sat “on the right hand of the Father” (Doctrine and Covenants 20:24). He was then known by His prophets and His disciples as Jehovah. The mortal Messiah identified Himself as the great “I am” whom Abraham saw, covenanted with, and worshiped (John 8:56-58). Ancient seers proclaimed of this Jehovah: “[T]he Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us” (Isaiah 33:22). “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins” (Acts 10:43).

Speaking of the Lord’s future ministry on earth, holy prophets foretold: “And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary” (Mosiah 3:8). They emphatically prophesied: “[B]ehold, there is one thing which is of more importance than they all – for behold, the time is not far distant that the Redeemer liveth and cometh among his people” (Alma 7:7).

The earth was made abundantly aware, centuries before it happened, that “God himself shall come down among the children of men, and shall redeem his people” (Mosiah 15:1). Mankind knew that Jesus’ mortal mother would be named Mary, that He would be born near Jerusalem, and that His earthly name would be Jesus. So many evidences existed before the events occurred that one prophet gushed in gratitude: “[T]he Lord God hath sent his holy prophets among all the children of men, to declare these things to every kindred, nation, and tongue, that thereby whosoever should believe that Christ should come, the same might receive remission of their sins, and rejoice with exceedingly great joy, even as though he had already come among them” (Mosiah 3:13).

Jesus did come to earth as promised. He was the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One. “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power” (Acts 10:38). He said of Himself: “[T]he Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. . . . to comfort all that mourn” (Isaiah 61:1-2). His ministry and purpose was to free, heal, bless, comfort, and save all those who would believe in Him.

A prophet explained His sacred mission this way: “And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people. And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities . . . the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance” (Alma 7:11-13).

Jesus122

Another solemnly witnessed: “[T]he Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, who was, and is from all eternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, causing the lame to walk, the blind to receive their sight, and the deaf to hear, and curing all manner of diseases. And he shall cast out devils . . . And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people. . . . And lo, he cometh unto his own, that salvation might come unto the childrne of men even through faith on his name; and even after all this they shall consider him a man, and say that he hath a devil, and shall scourge him, and shall crucify him. And he shall rise the third day from the dead” (Mosiah 3:5-7, 9-10).

A prophetic witness foretold: “And he shall come into the world to redeem his people; and he shall take upon him the transgressions of those who believe on his name; and these are they that shall have eternal life, and salvation cometh to none else” (Alma 11:40).

An ancient convert to the Savior joyfully exclaimed: “For as sure as thou livest, behold, I have seen my Redeemer; and he shall come forth, and be born of a woman, and he shall redeem all mankind who believe on his name” (Alma 19:13).

And again, we read these inspired words about the Savior’s Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice: “And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law [of Moses], every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice; and that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal. And thus he shall bring salvation to all those who shall believe on his name; this being the intent of this last sacrifice, to bring about the bowels of mercy, which overpowereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance. And thus mercy can satisfy the demands of justice, and encircles them in the arms of safety . . . therefore only unto him that has faith unto repentance is brought about the eternal plan of redemption” (Alma 34:14-16).

Christ the Lord came to earth “to redeem those who will be baptized unto repentance, through faith on his name (Alma 9:27). He was and is “the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). The Lord “washed us from our sins in his own blood” (Revelation 1:5). We are, by lineage, the “children of God” and, thus, “heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:16-17). It is through the Savior’s grace alone, however, that we may become kings and priests unto God and His Father” (Revelation 1:6). “[T]here shall be no other name given nor any other way nor means whereby salvation can come unto the children of men, only in and through the name of Christ, the Lord Omnipotent” (Mosiah 3:17).

Jesus91

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. [Jesus] came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:31-32). We “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of god” and are in need of the Savior’s saving grace (Romans 3:23). Jesus is the Great Physician. Christ is the cure. We are “justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24).

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned” (John 3:15-18).

Did He not promise: “He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47)? He figuratively explained that eternal life comes through Him the same as mortal life is sustained by bread: “I am that bread of life. . . . I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world” (John 6:48, 51).

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep” (John 10:11). “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you” (John 15:13-14). “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him” (John 14:23). If we “believe the gospel and rely upon the merits of Jesus Christ, [we will] be glorified through faith in his name, and . . . through [our] repentance [we] might be saved” (Doctrine and Covenants 3:20). “The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants” (Psalm 34:22).

Jesus came to redeem us and to show us the correct path back to our Heavenly home. He has “set the example” before us (2 Nephi 31:9). “And he said unto the children of men: Follow thou me” (2 Nephi 31:10). Jesus always leads from the front. He does not ask anyone to do anything He has not already done. Instead, He simply encourages: “[C]ome, follow me” (Luke 18:22). He invites: “Come unto me all ye ends of the earth” (2 Nephi 26:25). And He promises: “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).

When you come to Jesus, you can say as did Andrew: “We have found the Messias . . . the Christ” (John 1:41). You can repeat with Philip: “We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth” (John 1:45). You can exclaim: “[T]hou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel” (John 1:49). “Of a truth [He is] the Son of God” (Mathew 14:33).

Jesus stands in Heaven pleading to the God of all in behalf of those who come to Him, believe in Him, and follow Him: “Father, behold the sufferings and death of him who did no sin, in whom thou wast well pleased; behold the blood of thy Son which was shed, the blood of him whom thou gavest that thyself might be glorified. Wherefore, Father, spare these my brethren that believe on my name, that they may come unto me and have everlasting life” (Doctrine and Covenants 45:4-5).

Jesus213

And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ, and deny him not; and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in nowise be cast out” (2 Nephi 25:29). “Behold, they will crucify [Jesus]; and after he is laid in a sepulchre for the space of three days he shall rise from the dead, with healing in his wings; and all those who shall believe on his name shall be saved in the kingdom of God” (2 Nephi 25:13).

The Lord came to earth to complete the Atonement that we may believe on His name, be forgiven of our sins, and have eternal life through His mercy. He suffered so much “agony” that He “sweat as it were great drops of blood” (Luke 22:44). This suffering “caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit – and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink” (Doctrine and Covenants 19:18).

As gut-wrenching as it is, Jesus testified: “And my Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross, that I might draw all men unto me, that as I have been lifted up by men even so should men be lifted up by the Father, to stand before me, to be judged of their works” (3 Nephi 27:14). It was the Savior’s mission to be “betrayed into the hands of sinners” (Matthew 26:45), to be crucified wherein He would “bare our sins in his own body on the tree” (1 Peter 2:24), and “rise from the dead, with healing in his wings” (2 Nephi 25:13).

Jesus is the Master Healer. By virtue of His Atonement, the Lord can extend mercy, healing, and comfort – both spiritually and physically – to those in need. He vowed: “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. . . . Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you . . . Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:18). “Fear not to do good, my sons. . . . fear not, little flock” (Doctrine and Covenants 64:33-34). “Therefore, be ye strong from henceforth; fear not, for the kingdom is yours. . . . if ye are prepared ye shall not fear” (Doctrine and Covenants 38:15, 30). “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not” (Doctrine and Covenants 6:36).

Sometimes, however, when life beats us down, we do doubt, we do fear, and we stumble greatly. We feel so dejected and overwhelmed that we cry: “O my God, my soul is cast down within me” (Psalm 42:6). Fortunately, the Lord quickly responds: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10). “[C]all upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee” (Psalm 50:15). It is in these times that we must apply the counsel: “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

Often, the hard times we are put through have a divine purpose and are little more than Heaven-devised tests to gauge us, humble us, and mold us into better people. These types of tests are ever present when we are generally good people with sincere hearts. “The Lord trieth the righteous” (Psalm 11:5). “For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth” (Proverbs 3:12). He has said that “whom I love I also chasten that their sins may be forgiven” (Doctrine and Covenants 95:1). It’s true that “no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous; nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peacable fruit of righteousness” (Hebrews 12:11).

Christ170

The Lord never gives us a trial without a way to come through it strengthened and enriched. Peter testified that “the trial of y our faith [is] much more precious than of gold” (1 Peter 1:7). The “salvation of your souls” is the final reward of faithful endurance in the face of trials (1 Peter 1:9). The Lord prefers those who, like Himself, have been refined by trials. “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction” (Isaiah 48:10).

There are times, of course, that trails and catastrophes strike which are not designed or desired by God. “For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things” (2 Nephi 2:11). Because of our agency and free will, people at times reject God’s laws and do horrific things or have terrible things done to them. During these times of tragedy, heartache, violence, and pain, the Lord understands us perfectly. It is through suffering that “we may be also glorified together” with the Lord (Romans 8:17).

Through His Atonement, “he [took] upon him [our] infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor [us] according to [our] infirmities” (Alma 7:11). To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him” (Daniel 9:9). We must “turn unto the Lord [our] God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness” (Joel 2:13). “The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble” (Psalm 9:9). “He forgetteth not the cry of the humble” (Psalm 9:12). “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

In sunshine or rain, we should recall that the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord” (Psalm 33:5). In mortality, He “went about doing good” (Acts 10:38). Today, He continues to do good. “He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. . . . for he doeth that which is good among the children of men . . . and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female . . . all are alike unto God” (2 Nephi 26:24, 33). Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God” (Moroni 7:12).

Jesus109

Yes, “God hath power to help” (2 Chronicles 25:8). Because the Lord looketh on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7) and “knoweth the thoughts of man (Psalm 94:11), He knows us intimately and perfectly. Everything we do is done “under the glance of the piercing eye of the Almighty God” (Jacob 2:10). The Son taught that “your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him” (Matthew 6:8). He loves us. And He rewards the faithful. Always. “Be faithful and diligent in keeping the commandments of God, and I will encircle thee in the arms of my love” (Doctrine and Covenants 6:20).

When we need reminded that he God of Heaven really is on our side, we have His words to comfort us: “Behold the wounds which pierced my side, and also the prints of the nails in my hands and feet; be faithful, keep my commandments, and ye shall inherit the kingdom of heaven” (Doctrine and Covenants 6:37). Because He endured and completed the Atonement, and yet stands fully alive because of the power of the resurrection, He demonstrates His supreme power over all other forces. He “is mighty to save and to cleanse from all unrighteousness” (Alma 7:14). When we look to Him, he saves us.

I will not forget thee,” He promises. “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands” (Isaiah 49:15-16). The crucifixion nail marks are forever etched in His perfect hands and feet. Thousands of people on multiple continents did go “forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come” (3 Nephi 11:15). The Lord retains these marks as a perpetual sign that He was “slain for the sins of the world” (3 Nephi 11:14) and that “redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah” (2 Nephi 2:6). His purpose was “to bring salvation unto men” (2 Nephi 2:3). “[H]e hath given [salvation] free for all men” (2 Nephi 26:27). Yes, “salvation is free” (2 Nephi 2:4)!

We have the assurance of Jesus’ continued assistance because we know that “now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20). The Lord was “the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18). He confirmed: “I am the resurrection, and the life” (John 11:25). No man, He said, had power to take His life, but “I lay it down of myself . . . and I have power to take it again” (John 10:18). He gave His life as “a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

Jesus3

After three days in the tomb, His immortal spirit joined with His resurrected flesh and He became a resurrected Being. He now has a perfected body of “flesh and bones” (Luke 24:39). Angels announced His resurrection with the unending declaration: “He is not here: for he is risen” (Matthew 28:6).

Because the Savior “destroyed” death (1 Corinthians 15:26), “the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ. He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darknened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death” (Mosiah 16:8). I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death” (Hosea 13:14).

Because the Lord abolished death and appointed a time for resurrection: “The soul shall be restored to the body, and the body to the soul; yea, and every limb and joint shall be restored to its body; yea, even a hair of the head shall not be lost; but all things shall be restored to their proper and perfect frame. . . . And then shall the righteous shine forth in the kingdom of God” (Alma 40:23, 25). The loved ones we have loved and lost aren’t not gone for long.

That man is eternal and will continue to live after his mortal body returns to the earth is an incredible truth. But as incredible as it seems, it is true. We may know with a perfect knowledge that Jesus lived, died, and rose from the grave that first Easter Sunday to claim His place as the King of kings. We can be so filled with testimony and truth that we can positively declare: “[I]n my flesh shall I see God” (Job 19:26). We can know the truth because “[Jesus] manifesteth himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost; yea, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, working mighty miracles, signs, and wonders, among the children of men according to their faith” (2 Nephi 26:13). “And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things” (Moroni 10:5).

I give my testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ. I know He lives. I know He stands as “the keeper of the gate” to Heaven (2 Nephi 9:41) and that “redemption cometh through Christ the Lord” (Mosiah 16:15). “The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God” (Exodus 15:2). “Salvation is of the Lord” (Jonah 2:9). “Who is a God like unto [Him], that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? . . . he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion on us” (Micah 7:18).

I know and bear witness that: The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust” (Psalm 18:2). “I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth” (Job 19:25). At that day, not too far distant, “every ear shall heart it, and every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess” that Jesus is the Christ (Doctrine and Covenants 88:104). The whole earth will know and declare that “the Lord is King for ever and ever” (Psalm 10:16). “For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations” (Psalm 22:28). Humanity will finally acknowledge “the majesty of the name of the Lord” (Micah 5:4).

Jesus99

Yes, I know that my redeemer lives! My witness is of the Holy Spirit and I can declare it independent of any other source. This knowledge is mine. It fills my soul. It gives me strength. It sustains me. It is “my life and my light, my joy and my salvation, and my redemption . . . yea, I say, blessed be the name of my God. . . . this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever” (Alma 26:36-37).

His Servants the Prophets

It is an easy thing to believe in the dead prophets, but it is a greater thing to believe in the living prophets.” – President Marion G. Romney, “Nurture a Testimony,” General Conference, April, 1953.

From the Garden of Eden to the present, God has spoken to mankind through prophets. Whenever our Eternal Father has something significant to convey to His children, He speaks through prophets. Whenever the Lord wants to establish His Church and expound the points of His Gospel, He does so exclusively through prophets. The intention of this article is to explain the signature role of prophets in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to share my personal witness that the Lord speaks to us today through prophets.

prophet2

The Bible uncategorically affirms the importance and necessity of prophets. The prophet Amos recorded this wonderful statement:

Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).

Amos taught that the Lord speaks through prophets. That is His eternal pattern. He uses mediators to deliver His words, to warn of impending judgments, to instruct, and to officiate in essential saving ordinances and covenants like baptism.

Before we go any farther, let’s define what a prophet is. The word prophet comes from the Greek work meaning spokesman, or one who speaks in behalf of. In this case, prophets speak for God. When a prophet is inspired by the Holy Spirit to do so, his words are the equivalent of God’s own words; they are what the Lord wants people to know at that precise moment and are as equally binding upon the hearers as if God Himself was speaking. A true prophet, therefore, is the Lord’s spokesman or mouthpiece.

The Bible Dictionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives us this insight:

The work of a Hebrew prophet was to act as God’s messenger and make known God’s will . . . He taught men about God’s character . . . He was to be, above all, a preacher of righteousness. When the people had fallen away from a true faith in Jehovah, the prophets had to try to restore that faith and remove false views about the character of God and the nature of the Divine requirement. In certain cases prophets predicted future events, e.g., there are the very important prophecies announcing the coming of the Messiah’s kingdom; but as a rule a prophet was a forthteller rather than a foreteller. In a general sense a prophet is anyone who has a testimony of Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost.” (Bible Dictionary, Prophet”).

A prophet reveals God to his fellows. He reveals the true character and nature of the Being we worship. He helps us know our Father and His Son Jesus Christ – and really knowing Them is “eternal life” (John 17:3). A prophet, like any true friend, helps bring us to Jesus Christ (though ultimately the individual is responsible for receiving his own personal witness, through the Holy Spirit, of the Lord’s divinity). A prophet is also a seer and a revelator and, when it is the Lord’s will, he can reveal future events and authoritatively warn of coming judgments.

What’s more, a prophet is a legal administrator of the essential saving ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is one who possesses authority from the source of all power and authority – God Himself. God’s authority is called the Holy Priesthood. There is a higher (Melchizedek) and a lower (Aaronic or Levitical) Priesthood, but I will refer to them both in a collective sense.

At any given time, the Lord’s prophet is the man chosen and ordained to exercise all the authorities and powers of the Holy Priesthood for all people on earth. He, and he alone, presides over saving ordinances. He can delegate this power to local authorities such as bishops, elders, and priests, just as Jesus delegated His authority to His apostles, but the ultimate presiding authority resides in the man who at any given time is the president of the Holy Priesthood on earth.

It is through the Priesthood channel that revelation for mankind is given. Private individuals are not entitled to receive revelation for mankind (though they can of course receive personal revelation for themselves and their family); but a prophet can receive universal revelation by virtue of his office. In a helpful sermon on the two lines of communication God uses to speak to mankind, the personal and private lines, President Dallin H. Oaks, one of the Lord’s chosen apostolic witnesses in our day, explained:

The priesthood line is the channel by which God has spoken to His children through the scriptures in times past. And it is this line through which He currently speaks through the teachings and counsel of living prophets and apostles and other inspired leaders. This is the way we receive the required ordinances. This is the way we receive calls to service in His Church. His Church is the way and His priesthood is the power through which we are privileged to participate in those cooperative activities that are essential to accomplishing the Lord’s work. These include preaching the gospel, building temples and chapels, and helping the poor.

In respect to this priesthood line, our belief and practice is similar to the insistence of some Christians that authoritative ordinances (sacraments) are essential and must be performed by one authorized and empowered by Jesus Christ (see John 15:16). We believe the same but of course differ with other Christians on how we trace that authority.

Some members or former members of our church fail to recognize the importance of the priesthood line. They underestimate the importance of the Church and its leaders and its programs. Relying entirely on the personal line, they go their own way, purporting to define doctrine and to direct competing organizations contrary to the teachings of prophet-leaders. In this they mirror the modern hostility to what is disparagingly called “organized religion.” Those who reject the need for organized religion reject the work of the Master, who established His Church and its officers in the meridian of time and who reestablished them in modern times” (President Dallin H. Oaks, “Two Lines of Communication,” General Conference, October, 2010).

There have always been those who reject the prophets and the Lord’s organized Church with its formal officers, leaders, ordinances, and doctrines. Yet, in spite of objections throughout the Protestant world, God has always led His people through prophets. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8).

It should be understood that there is no salvation without ordinances. Yes, it is Jesus Christ who saves us through the mercy which He is capable of extending because of His atoning sacrifice, but He has appointed a pattern which includes ordinances. The ordinance of baptism, for instance, is so essential that the Lord taught:

Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. . . .

. . . Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. . . .

. . . Ye must be born again” (John 3:3, 5, 7).

Jesus282

This teaching ought to dispel the incorrect notion that salvation can come without ordinances because, naturally, there is no salvation outside of the Kingdom of God. This doctrine should cause us to seriously search for the Lord’s legal administrators endowed with the authority to perform such saving ordinances. Again, common sense dictates that no ordinance is recognized by God unless it is performed by His authentic authority.

There are many who say “Lord, Lord,” but not all are in the path of righteousness (Matthew 7:21). Those who hold the Lord’s legitimate authority are members of His Holy Priesthood. They are legal administrators of salvific Gospel ordinances. And only at their hands can saving ordinances be received. This should cement in our minds forever the necessity of prophets.

Prophets are engaged in the work of salvation. They are the laborers in the vineyard of whom the Lord spoke in His parable in Matthew chapter twenty. As such, they are on the Lord’s errand and must work in the Lord’s approved manner and by His authority. Among other things, prophets, as well as all other Priesthood holders in their various offices, were never intended to labor for money. Their time was to be an offering to God. It was to be selfless service with no monetary or worldly reward; only the reward of helping others, doing the right thing, and serving in the mode of the Savior.

Peter instructed his fellow elders in the Priesthood:

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock” (1 Peter 5:2-3).

Those in the Church who worked for money (i.e. “filthy lucre”) or who worked to make themselves popular like the Jewish Pharisees, were then, and are today, guilty of priestcraft. Priestcraft is not a word used much among most Christians, but it is a perfect description of Christian churches throughout the world – especially the so-called “mega” churches. Additionally, those who sell saving ordinances, or offer forgiveness, in exchange for money are also guilty of priestcraft and are in direct violation of Peter’s words.

In the book of Acts, the Apostle Philip was ministering to the people in Samaria. A magician named Simon saw Philip’s legitimate miracles, such as casting out evil spirits and healing the sick, and temporarily believed the Gospel message. Some of those who had been previously bewitched by Simon were converted and were baptized. Hearing the good news, Peter and John traveled to Samaria and began conferring the gift of the Holy Ghost on the newly baptized members in the correct “laying on of hands” fashion. We then find this exchange between Simon and Peter:

And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

. . . thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

Repent therefore of this, thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity” (Acts 8:5-23).

prophet19

As an interesting note of history, this very Simon, Simon Magus or Simon the Sorcerer, later apostatized and became the founder of Gnosticism. The same sin of which he was guilty, which is thinking that God’s ordinances, blessings, gifts, authority, or power can be bought with money, is rampant in Christendom. Forgiveness, let alone the gift of the Holy Ghost or the Holy Priesthood, cannot be purchased with money. Also, the Holy Ghost cannot be conferred on people in any other manner but through the laying on of hands (Acts 8:17).

Similarly, no one can claim, of themselves, the right and authority to preach the Gospel or perform ordinances. No true prophet in history has ever called himself to that position. Not one. Not Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Malachi, Jonah, or Peter. A prophet is, rather, called by revelation from God through approved Priesthood channels or by direct manifestation or visitation of God.

This means that every self-appointed pastor, bishop, priest, evangelist, chaplain, reverend, cleric, or minister who created his own church, who invented his own “ministry,” or who was hired the same as any other worker is, rather than being called by revelation through a Priesthood authority, holds no legitimate authority or calling. While there are numerous sincere pastors who work for money, despite the Bible decrying paid a clergy who labor for “filthy lucre,” ultimately these are not called of God and hold no lawful Priesthood administrative authority.

Furthermore, earning a degree in theology does not qualify one for any ministry or calling in Christ’s legitimate Church. Were any of the Savior’s apostles theologians? Not a one of them. They were fishermen and laborers – average folks from the poorest parts of Palestine. For them, preaching the Gospel was not a profession; it was a sacred calling. They did not choose it; the Lord chose them. He said as much:

I am the vine, ye are the branches. . . .

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you” (John 15:5, 16).

This is the pattern for all time and for all prophets. Not one true prophet or legitimate priest/pastor/bishop calls himself to the work. It has simply never happened. Rather he is chosen, through revelation via the proper channels, by the Lord Jesus Christ. He is ordained to his special calling through the Lord’s Priesthood. In the case of the original twelve apostles, the Lord – the true vine – ordained them. Later, these same apostles, via the same Priesthood authority given to them by Jesus Christ, selected and ordained others to fill vacancies in their quorum.

When the apostles needed to fill the void left by Judas Iscariot’s betrayal and gory suicide, they chose two possible candidates. They then “prayed and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen” (Acts 1:20-26). What were the apostles doing? They were, of course, seeking revelation. They did not merely vote and use their flawed human wisdom to select the next apostle. They understood that the Church of Jesus Christ was not their Church – it was the Lord’s and that the Lord alone has the right to call and appoint its leaders. The same is true in our day.

prophet9

Isaiah

Some believe that in order to be a prophet or apostle, one must have lived in the days of Christ and have personally witnessed His resurrection. They quote Acts 1:22 for this false belief. That verse, in part, states that a new apostle had to be taken from among the Christian brethren and must be “ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.” To believe that prophets and apostles had to have lived only 2,000 years ago is to misunderstand this verse or to deny other relevant scriptures.

The verse in question simply means that the office of an apostle is to bear witness of Jesus Christ. An apostle’s official capacity is as a special witness of the Savior’s life, resurrection, and divinity. It is His Church, after all. Can individuals learn these glorious truths today? Can we, through the Holy Spirit, gain personal testimonies and witnesses of the Savior just as the early Christians did? Yes, we can!

Peter, who walked and talked with the Savior, gained his personal witness through the Spirit and not because of His firsthand knowledge. He did not gain a witness by literally viewing Jesus with his own eyeballs. Speaking of Peter’s witness, Jesus clarified that “flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 16:15-17). And since we can today receive a spiritual confirmation of the truth as easily as the apostles could in Christ’s own day, men can presently be ordained to be legitimate apostolic witnesses.

This notion is further verified by a correct understanding of another verse of scripture. It was in the context of Heavenly revelation to Peter that Jesus said “and upon this rock I will build my church” (Matthew 16:18). The verse does not refer to Peter as the rock, though Peter was the first president of the Lord’s Church and the man authorized by the Lord to receive revelation for the ancient Saints. Rather, revelation from the Lord is the rock upon which the Church of Jesus Christ must be built. And the apostles were sent out as messengers to declare to the world the truths they had learned through personal revelation.

Dr. Hugh Nibley, a brilliant scriptorian, scholar, and professor who mastered fourteen languages and penned numerous books, spoke of the unique station of prophets, and the general antipathy towards their holy work, in his book The World and the Prophets. He wrote:

A prophet is no ordinary person; he makes no ordinary claim; and he does not ask people to believe him, but to test him. God is not authoritarian: He asks no on to believe; but invites the world, as his prophets do, “Prove me herewith.”

When the Lord was upon his earthly mission, he greatly angered and upset men by forcing them to decide whether he was a true prophet or not . . . The Lord insists that we make up our minds one way or another regarding is calling.

. . . a prophet is a witness, not a reformer. Criticism of the world is always implicit in a prophet’s message of repentance, but he is not sent for the purpose of criticizing the world. Men know the world is wicked, and the wickedest often know it best . . . It was not the Sermon on the Mount that drove men to crucify the Lord. It was not for their moral tirades that the prophets of old and the Apostles were stoned . . .

What, then, did Christ and the Apostles do and say that drove men into paroxysms of rage? They performed tangible miracles such as could not be denied, and they reported what they had seen and heart. That was all. It was as witnesses endowed with power form on high that they earned the hatred of the world, of which John speaks so much: “We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness” (John 3:11). . . .

And as soon as the Apostles said, “We are his witnesses of these things,” the council of the high priests “were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them (Acts 5:32-33; italics added). Again, we are told that the multitude “were cut to the heart” when Stephen accused them of rejecting what had brought “by the dispensation of angels” (Acts 7:53-54). But the last straw was when he had the effrontery to say, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, and cast him out of the city, and stoned him” (Acts 7:56-58). If Stephen had spent his life, as innumerable philosophers have, denouncing the vices and follies of the age, he might have died peacefully in bed. But those fatal words, “I see,” were his death warrant. And what did Paul say to make the Jews cry out in utter horror: “Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live,” as “they . . . cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the air?” (Acts 22:22-23). What indeed? These were the unforgivable words that made him unfit to live: “Suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest” (Acts 22:6-8). Paul could have won his audience over by speaking as a scholar, but when he bore witness to what he had seen and heard, he was asking for trouble” (Hugh Nibley, The World and the Prophets, 12-15).

prophet16

The key thing to draw from this excerpt is that a prophet is a man with personal, firsthand knowledge of God – a bold witness who bears his simple testimony of the truth which he personally knows and which he has had confirmed to him by the Holy Spirit. Prophets do not speak from theoretical knowledge or scholarly learning. Rather, they speak from their firsthand experience with their Savior Jesus Christ.

Oftentimes, prophets have face-to-face or visionary encounters with the Lord, as did Paul, Moses, Abraham, Jacob, Enoch, Adam, Jeremiah, and others. They frequently hear the voice of the Lord. They see Him in dreams and manifestations. And, more importantly, they all receive spiritual confirmation of the truth through the power of the Holy Ghost. No matter how God is revealed to them, they know of His reality, His divine mission, and of the true points of His Gospel. Their task, when called by the Lord to do so, is to share their witness of Jesus Christ.

The book of Acts gives us a wonderful description of a prophet’s role. Peter testified:

God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing. . . .

And we are witnesses of all things which he did. . . .

Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly. . . .

And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

To him give all the prophets witness, that through is name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins” (Acts 10:38-40, 42-43).

All of the prophets who have ever ministered or who ever will minister have testified of Jesus Christ. At times they referred to Him as Jehovah, the Lord, or the Messiah, but it was the Man Jesus, the Son of the Living God, of whom they preached, taught, and bore special witness. As Dr. Nibley observed above, prophets are so hated precisely because they give personal witness and don’t speak theoretically. They force us to make a judgment, either for or against, regarding the veracity of their testimony. And as the scriptures show, correctly discerning the truth of a prophet’s words and aligning ourselves with them makes all the differences.

Jeremiah

The existence of prophets in Old Testament times cannot be disputed. But what of the New Testament era and our own modern day? Some claim that prophets were done away with after the resurrected Christ’s Ascension. This is false. I again cite the scripture: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8).

The Lord very clearly intended that His Church should be guided, as it always had been in former times, by a duly called prophet wielding Priesthood authority. He also established apostles. The word apostle means “one who is sent” or, in other words, a messenger or emissary. A prophet is an apostle as well, just as an apostle is a prophet, but the prophet at any given time heads the body of apostles and presides in the Lord’s Priesthood.

Before His Atonement, the Lord chose Peter, James, and John to be the governing body within the large quorum of twelve apostles. Peter was the ranking and presiding authority among the apostles, or, in other words, the prophet and president of the Church of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul gave us a glimpse into the structure of the Lord’s Church. He wrote:

[Y]e are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:19-20).

He again explained:

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-12).

Yet another time, to a different group of Saints, he likewise testified of the different callings and stations in the Church:

For the body is not one member, but many. . . .

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. . . .

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues” (1 Corinthians 12:14, 18, 28).

Paul is clear – the Lord established a Church with a set hierarchy and a neatly organized structure that includes prophets, apostles, elders, priests, teachers, patriarchs, members with spiritual gifts, and so forth. The presiding authority was Peter and, with him, the apostles.

prophet6

If Paul’s writings are not authoritative enough, the record shows that the mortal Messiah plainly called twelve apostles, endowing them with Priesthood authority, and established groups of seventy elders to hold office beneath the apostles (Matthew 10:1; Luke 9:1; Luke 10:1). If apostles and prophets were necessary for the Gospel ministry and for the edifying and perfecting of the members of the Lord’s Church two-thousand years ago, are they not also necessary today?

And if they are no longer necessary, as most Christians now believe, when did this start? Where is the formal revelation abolishing the quorum of twelve apostles set up by Christ? Where is the prophetic declaration announcing that the carefully designed structure of the Lord’s Church no longer applies or has been superseded with a better divinely-approved construct? Surely, if the Lord personally set up a Church with apostles and prophets, He intended the system to continue. It appears obvious on the face of it that without these governing bodies and the Priesthood which gave them authority to minister, heal, preach, baptize, and speak in the Lord’s name, there simply is no Church of Christ.

Since history bears out that the quorum of the twelve apostles did not continue past the First Century after Christ, and since the Catholic Church and Protestant organizations deny that prophets and apostles lead Christ’s Church today, we have to ask why. The scriptures have the answer. The Old and New Testaments both warn of an apostasy. Paul predicted a great “falling away” that would occur (2 Thessalonians 2:3). He warned:

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

He spoke of Christian apostates as “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

Paul in fact said that this apostasy was already beginning during his day. He wrote to the Galatian Church members: “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel” (Galatians 1:6). He also noted:

[A]fter my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them” (Acts 20:29-30).

prophet5

Lehi preaching in Jerusalem, 600 B.C.

Peter, the chief apostle of his day, also foretold of apostasy:

[T]here were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2 Peter 2:1-2).

Finally, the Apostle John castigated false teachers and apostate churches in the book of Revelation, naming many of them. He was also given a revelation that condemned “them which say they are apostles, and are not” (Revelation 2:2).

Other New Testament witnesses, including the Lord Himself who talked about a coming age of false prophets (Matthew 24:24), could be appealed to. Even Old Testament prophets like Isaiah who prophesied of a time when “darkness shall cover the earth” (Isaiah 60:2) and the Lord’s followers would “draw near [to the Lord] with their mouth, and with their lips do honour [Him], but have removed their heart far from [Him]” (Isaiah 29:10, 13), could be noted. However, these are sufficient to show that the Bible foretells, quite unmistakably and frequently, of an apostasy. Those who honestly study the history of Christendom are also struck by the palpable reality of this great apostasy and the many changes made to Christ’s Church structure and to His doctrine.

T. Edgar Lyon wrote of these tragic changes to the Lord’s organization in his book Apostasy to Restoration. I excise a passage about the apostleship and what it meant that the apostles were eventually martyred:

As long as the original apostles of Jesus Christ were alive they gave church-wide supervision to His Church. By the close of the first century, however, there appears to be no apostolic leadership in the church. Furthermore, there is no recorded evidence that any plan had been adopted to perpetuate the apostleship or any other type of general church leadership. The Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 12:28 and Ephesians 4:11 and 12, stated that the apostles and prophets had been placed in the Church of Jesus Christ by Christ Himself, to be His leaders on earth. When they disappeared, the leadership was gone. Without the authority from Christ to lead His Church, no organization could then rightfully be called the Church of Jesus Christ. That an organization survived, is self evident. That it perpetuated for some years some of the fundamental teachings such as faith in God, immersion baptism and belief in the resurrection of true Christianity, no one can deny. That there were sincere believers and dedicated leaders, history testifies. That they considered themselves to be the Church of Jesus Christ, the members affirmed through their faith and suffering. But that it was Christ’s Church, when it was without divine authority, is not in keeping with early Christian understanding” (T. Edgar Lyon, Apostasy to Restoration, 3).

Jesus171

As I have been attempting to convey, prophets and apostles are absolutely essential to the Church of Jesus Christ. Without them, there is no Church of Christ. Without the Priesthood authority held by correctly called and appointed leaders, no saving ordinances can be properly and lawfully performed. Without a prophet to receive direction for the entire Church, such as when Peter received the revelation that the Gospel was to be taken to the Gentiles (Acts 10), there could be no Church. Without a prophet to speak in Christ’s name, an organization simply cannot be considered His Church.

It is also crystal clear from any honest reading of history that many innovations were made in Church organization and doctrine that did not harmonize with what the Lord had personally made known and which His apostles had expounded in their ministry. In fact, these changes harmonized with popular paganism at the time, such as Mithraism. A modern prophet of the Lord put it this way:

Notwithstanding, the disciples of Jesus, excepting John the Revelator, suffered ignominious deaths, they sowed the seed of the Gospel among, and conferred the Priesthood upon men, which remained for several generations upon the earth, but the time came when Paganism was engrafted into Christianity, and at last Christianity was converted into Paganism rather than converting the Pagans. And subsequently the Priesthood was taken from among men, this authority was recalled into the heavens, and the world was left without the Priesthood—without the power of God—without the Church and Kingdom of God” (President Joseph F. Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 22, 44, February 6, 1881).

As sad as this idea is, and as offensive as it may be to some sincere Christians, it is nevertheless an historically and scripturally substantiated truth. The Great Apostasy did occur and most of the world is still covered by darkness. Key doctrines were changed, such as the mode of baptism, how the gift of the Holy Ghost is conferred, the importance of marriage, how Church leaders are called, the nature of God, and so forth. In particular, the Nicene Creed and other church counsels presided over by uninspired men transformed the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit into a monstrous three-in-one creation not found in the Bible.

On the essential doctrine of the nature of God, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland explained the apostate idea compare to the scriptural truth:

In the year A.D. 325 the Roman emperor Constantine convened the Council of Nicaea to addressamong other thingsthe growing issue of God’s alleged “trinity in unity.” What emerged from the heated contentions of churchmen, philosophers, and ecclesiastical dignitaries came to be known (after another 125 years and three more major councils) as the Nicene Creed, with later reformulations such as the Athanasian Creed. These various evolutions and iterations of creedsand others to come over the centuriesdeclared the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost to be abstract, absolute, transcendent, immanent, consubstantial, coeternal, and unknowable, without body, parts, or passions and dwelling outside space and time. In such creeds all three members are separate persons, but they are a single being, the oft-noted “mystery of the trinity.” They are three distinct persons, yet not three Gods but one. All three persons are incomprehensible, yet it is one God who is incomprehensible.

We agree with our critics on at least that pointthat such a formulation for divinity is truly incomprehensible. With such a confusing definition of God being imposed upon the church, little wonder that a fourth-century monk cried out, “Woe is me! They have taken my God away from me, … and I know not whom to adore or to address.” How are we to trust, love, worship, to say nothing of strive to be like, One who is incomprehensible and unknowable? What of Jesus’s prayer to His Father in Heaven that “this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”?

It is not our purpose to demean any person’s belief nor the doctrine of any religion. We extend to all the same respect for their doctrine that we are asking for ours. (That, too, is an article of our faith.) But if one says we are not Christians because we do not hold a fourth- or fifth-century view of the Godhead, then what of those first Christian Saints, many of whom were eyewitnesses of the living Christ, who did not hold such a view either?

We declare it is self-evident from the scriptures that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are separate persons, three divine beings, noting such unequivocal illustrations as the Savior’s great Intercessory Prayer just mentioned, His baptism at the hands of John, the experience on the Mount of Transfiguration, and the martyrdom of Stephento name just four” (Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, “The Only True God and Jesus Christ Whom He Hath Sent,” General Conference, October, 2007).

I quote this seeming aside for two reasons. First, the fact that the early Christians could not understand the nature of God and had so much contention on the issue illustrates their fallen condition. As sincere as they no doubt were, they lacked prophetic guidance and did not have the benefit of the Priesthood line of communication.

Gospel35

Second, the confusion regarding the nature of our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ could never have happened in a Church where a living prophet presided and spoke on behalf of the Lord. Again, the fact that this issue literally shattered Christendom into pieces, with each side excommunicating, excoriating, and persecuting the other, demonstrates their lack of prophetic leadership and proves the reality of the Great Apostasy foretold in the New Testament.

The careful Bible reader will readily acknowledge that the Old Testament records numerous periods of time – sometimes spanning hundreds of years apiece – when the Lord’s ancient people devolved into a state of apostasy in which He revoked His Priesthood authority and ceased calling prophets to lead them. After each period of darkness, however, the Lord called new prophets. He always appeared to the first new prophet in a personal visitation to inaugurate the new Gospel dispensation. There are at least six Gospel dispensations recorded in the Bible. The founding prophets of each dispensation are: Adam; Enoch; Noah; Abraham; Moses; and Jesus Christ.

Each of these men is extraordinary, even among prophets. The Lord is the ultimate Prophet. It was He, as Jehovah, who personally called Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Moses to head up new dispensations. He gave these wonderful men Priesthood authority to officiate in saving ordinances, additional revelations to add to past revelations from former dispensations, and new instructions adapted to their specific circumstances. This is the pattern for opening a new Gospel dispensation. The Lord followed this identical pattern in modern times when He initiated what is the final Gospel dispensation, the Dispensation of the Fulness of Times (Ephesians 1:10).

One of the hopeful messages of the Holy Bible is that the night of dark apostasy long foreseen would be shattered by the revelation of further Gospel light at a future day. The ancient prophet Ezekiel, peering prophetically through time, spoke of a day when the scriptural record of the Jews would be joined with another scriptural record written by Israelites from the tribes of Joseph. Together, these equally true records would constitute the holy scriptures and be “one” in the Lord’s hands:

[T]ake one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. . . .

Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand” (Ezekiel 37:16-17, 19).

Isaiah referred to a future day in which “the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it” (Isaiah 2:2).

Micah similarly prophesied of the future establishment of the Lord’s Kingdom, or Zion:

[I]n the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the claw shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem” (Micah 4:1-2).

Isaiah specifically spoke of the Great Apostasy and followed it up by foretelling of a latter-day Restoration of the Lord’s Church, which he called a “marvellous work and a wonder” (Isaiah 29:14).

Peter spoke of “the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:21).

Jesus180

The Savior also said that before His Second Coming in glory: “Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things” (Matthew 17:11).

And, perhaps most convincingly of all, the Apostle John prophesied of an angel who would once more bring the Gospel to mankind:

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people” (Revelation 14:6).

Isn’t it curious that the Apostle John foretold of a day when there would be a need for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be delivered to mankind once again by angels? Most Christians believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been on the earth for two-thousand years and does not stand in need of being restored, yet this contradicts John’s prophesy. There would simply be no need of an angelic minister to give the Gospel to those who already had it. When we factor in the reality of the Great Apostasy, however, we understand the significance of John’s prophesy.

In 1820, almost two-hundred years ago to the month, the prophesied Restoration of the “everlasting gospel” commenced in New York state when a fourteen-year-old man named Joseph Smith went into a small thicket of trees to pray to God to know which of all the competing churches was His one true Church. I invite you to read my article “Joseph Smith – Praise to the Man” for more about this wonderful servant of the Lord. Suffice it to say that because of his simple faith and sincere prayer, he received a divine manifestation of the Father and the Son. Brother Joseph later recounted:

I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.

. . . When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!

. . . I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)—and which I should join.

I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof”” (Joseph Smith – History 1:16-19).

Joseph Smith18

This marvelous manifestation, eclipsing even Abraham’s and Moses’ manifestations in its grandeur, inaugurated what we call the Restoration of the Gospel. Joseph Smith was told by the Lord that he was to be an instrument in His hands to bring the truth back to the world. In due time, in direct fulfillment of John’s writings, an angel named Moroni appeared to tutor Joseph Smith in Heavenly things and inform him of the record of the tribes of Joseph which Ezekiel spoke of. With the power of God, Joseph Smith translated this divine record. It is today called The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and is used in conjunction with the Bible to bring people to the Savior.

John the Baptist, as well as Peter, James, and John, appeared to Joseph Smith and others to restore the Holy Priesthood. Other angelic ministers, Moses and Elijah to name only two, appeared to give their Priesthood authorities and keys to Joseph Smith. Eventually, the Lord’s house – that is, His holy temple – was built once again. Not surprisingly, the chief of these modern temples sits today in the top of the mountains as foreseen by the Biblical prophets.

On April 6, 1830, the Lord’s Church was formally restored to the earth again as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Saints suffered extreme persecution. They were driven from state to state, murdered by mobs, and had an extermination order placed upon them by Governor Boggs of Missouri. In 1844, Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were shot to death by a ravenous mob while unjustly imprisoned in Illinois. Their spilled blood served as their final testimony of the truthfulness of the Restoration.

Yet, because it was not Joseph Smith’s church, but in actual fact the Church of Jesus Christ, it survived and has flourished and expanded throughout the globe at a miraculous pace. It is still led today by a prophet and a council of twelve apostles. It contains within it not only prophets and apostles, but also the quorums of seventy established by Jesus, the teachers and elders spoken of by Paul, and the gifts, authorities, and powers that always accompany the legitimate Priesthood authority of the Master. On every point of comparison in doctrine, structure, and origin between the Lord’s Church established in the Bible and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there is a beautiful harmony that powerfully touches the honest seeker of truth.

To these claims of new revelations, new scripture, new prophets, and a divinely-restored Church of Jesus Christ, the world is emphatically opposed. I bear my personal witness, given to me by the Holy Spirit, however, that it is the truth. These events fulfill the prophecies of Biblical prophets. The Everlasting Gospel has indeed been restored to the earth!

Jesus298

Whenever the Lord gives new light, Satan intensifies his disinformation campaign. He sends false prophets to oppose the real ones. He disperses false dogmas to compete with revealed truth. He establishes counterfeit priesthoods to the real Priesthood. He erects alluring churches to draw people away from the true Church of Jesus Christ. And he inspires wicked people to persecute the Lord’s prophets.

President Brigham Young, the successor prophet to Joseph Smith, warned of Satan’s counterfeits to the restored Church of Jesus Christ:

If true principles are revealed from heaven to men, and if there are angels, and there is a possibility of their communicating to the human family, always look for an opposite power, an evil power, to give manifestations also: look out for the counterfeit.

There is evil in the world, and there is also good. Was there ever a counterfeit without a true coin? No. Is there communication from God? Yes. From holy angels? Yes; and we have been proclaiming these facts during nearly thirty years. Are there any communications from evil spirits? Yes; and the Devil is making the people believe very strongly in revelations from the spirit world. This is called spiritualism” (President Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 7, 240, September 1, 1859).

Another modern apostle, the brilliant Bruce R. McConkie, wrote of those who reject the Lord’s light:

In the very nature of things, persecution of true prophets includes the acceptance of false prophets. It is a philosophical impossibility to reject truth without accepting error, to depart from true teachers without cleaving to false ones, to reject the Lord’s ministers without giving allegiance to those who follow the other Master” (Bruce R. McConkie, The Promised Messiah, 37).

It is the Lord’s modern prophets, however, which Christendom declares “false.” They cite Paul’s warning: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any bother gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8). This claim falls flat, however, when you honestly study the Biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ and that revealed in modern times and realize how stunningly consistent they are. It is also out of harmony with John’s prophesy that an angel will restore the Everlasting Gospel to mankind.

We should at least have one thing clear in our minds: “God is not the author of confusion” (1 Corinthians 14:33). He therefore cannot be the God of the various religions of the world, including Protestantism. For all its merits, two of the fundamental Protestant creeds are: 1) That it doesn’t matter which church a person belongs to because one’s personal relationship with Christ is all that matters; and 2) there can be no prophets or hierarchy because each individual can commune directly with God and needs no mediator. As I have demonstrated earlier, these notions are unBiblical, wrong, and are contradicted by the words of Peter, John, Paul, and other New Testament writers.

The Apostle Paul also noted that universal revelation is not subject to private interpretation. There must be an interpreter who proclaims the will of the Almighty. Imagine if there was no hierarchy and no order. It would be mass confusion with everyone claiming to speak for God, yet offering different interpretations of doctrine and proposing differing policies.

prophet1

The current First Presidency and Quorum of Twelve Apostles in the visitor center at the Rome, Italy Temple

As He did anciently, God has again called prophets to act as His spokesmen, to teach correct doctrine, to expose falsehoods, to shine light on humanity, and to bring people to Jesus Christ. It is our challenge today to listen to these humble prophets. I say “challenge” because it is generally harder to listen to a living, breathing prophet in your own land than to an ancient Hebrew prophet long since dead. The same Elder McConkie cited above wrote:

The real test of one’s beliefs is not how much he purports to believe of what the dead prophets have said, but what he accepts from the lips of the living oracles of the same God who inspired those of old. Salvation comes through belief in the doctrines taught by the true disciples sent as legal administrators in our day. Needless to say, their teachings conform to those of their ancient fellowservants; in addition, modern disciples have the present power to perform the ordinances of salvation so they will be binding on earth and in heaven” (Elder Bruce R. McConkie, A New Witness for the Articles of Faith, 27-28.

Ezra Taft Benson, whom I’m fond of quoting in my writings, penned a stirring testimony of the revealed Gospel. As one of the Lord’s modern apostolic witnesses, his words take on added meaning. He declared:

The world has generally revered the ancient dead prophets and rejected the living ones. It was so with Joseph Smith. Truth is often on the scaffold, error on the throne. But time is on the side of truth, for truth is eternal. The message of Mormonism is a world message. It is the truth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a world organization.

The message of Joseph Smith – the message of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the message of Mormonism – is the most important message in the world. And Joseph Smith the Prophet, who lives today, continues to have an important part in its direction here on earth.

The Church is a world organization – the true Church of Jesus Christ restored to the earth in its fulness – and is intended to bless all of our Father’s children. These things I know, and to them I bear humble witness.

God lives, Jesus is the Christ, the Redeemer of the world, with his latter-day base of operations here in America, and Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of the living God.

This is my witness and testimony to all the world” (Ezra Taft Benson, God, Family, Country: Our Three Great Loyalties, 40-41).

Yes, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is again on the earth in its bright fulness! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is led by prophets – men called of God by revelation and anointed via the Holy Priesthood to their positions. These prophets have come from many walks of life, yet they are all selected by the same Lord and they all bear witness of His divinity.

Gospel22

Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood from Peter, James, and John

One of the Lord’s recent apostles gave us this insight into the type of people called to preside in the Lord’s Church:

What is a living prophet? His age? He may be young or old. He need not wear a tunic nor carry a shepherd’s staff. His physical features are not important. A prophet need not have advanced educational degrees nor come from any special social class. He may be rich or poor. He needs no credentials from men.

What is it, then, that qualifies a man to be a prophet?

Foremost, God must choose him as his prophet! . . . .

A prophet, then, is the authorized representative of the Lord. While the world may not recognize him, the important requirement is that God speaks through him. A prophet is a teacher. He receives revelations from the Lord. These may be new truths or explanations of truths already received.

It is an easy thing to believe in the dead prophets. Many people do. For some mysterious reason there is an aura of credibility about them. It is not so with the prophet who lives among us, who must meet life’s everyday challenges. But it is a great thing to believe in the living prophets. Our salvation is contingent upon our belief in a living prophet and adherence to his word. He alone has the right to revelation for the whole Church. His words, above those of any other man, ought to be esteemed and considered by the Church as well as by the world. One day this truth will be understood” (Elder A. Theodore Tuttle, “What Is a Living Prophet?Ensign, July, 1973).

Nelson25

President Russell M. Nelson

The man who has been called today by Jesus Christ to lead His Church and to speak on His behalf is Russell M. Nelson. This great servant of the Almighty was recently called “Moses in a business suit” by University of Virginia religious studies professor Kathleen Flake. He has been called by others a “Renaissance Man.” President Nelson is a ninety-five-year-old man of wisdom, experience, and boundless energy. A father of ten children, a world-renowned heart surgeon, a speaker of six languages, an author, and a world traveler who has met with presidents, popes, and kings, he would be a wonderful choice to head any organization. However, far more importantly than his worldly laurels, he has been called of God and he bears emphatic testimony of our Redeemer Jesus Christ. President Nelson is the man of the hour for the world, the chief apostle, the mortal captain of the Church of Jesus Christ.

I bear testimony that the Lord has called prophets in the modern age. From my head to my feet, I know without a doubt, through the Holy Ghost, that prophets walk the earth today and speak for the Lord! I know President Nelson is an inspired man and that the apostles who serve at his side are special witnesses of Jesus who have been endowed with the Holy Priesthood. It is also my testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ will never again fall into apostasy. To bolster this important point, I appeal to a statement by one of the most brilliant of the Lord’s modern prophets:

Now, brethren, I think there is one thing which we should have exceedingly clear in our minds. Neither the President of the Church, nor the First Presidency, nor the united voice of the First Presidency and the Twelve will ever lead the Saints astray or send forth counsel to the world that is contrary to the mind and will of the Lord.

An individual may fall by the wayside, or have views, or give counsel which falls short of what the Lord intends. But the voice of the First Presidency and the united voice of those others who hold with them the keys of the kingdom shall always guide the Saints and the world in those paths where the Lord wants them to be. . . .

Now, brethren, these things are true. The Lord is with his people. The cause of righteousness shall prevail. Our cause is just, and the Lord will guide and direct us and bring us off triumphant in the end.

I testify that if we shall look to the First Presidency and follow their counsel and direction, no power on earth can stay or change our course as a church, and as individuals we shall gain peace in this life and be inheritors of eternal glory in the world to come. And I say this to you, my good brethren, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ” (President Joseph Fielding Smith, “Eternal Keys and the Right to Preside,” General Conference, April, 1974).

In an address titled “Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet,” Ezra Taft Benson gave us these accompanying truths:

The living prophet is more important to us than a dead prophet.

God’s revelation to Adam did not instruct Noah how to build the Ark. Noah needed his own revelation. Therefore the most important prophet so far as you and I are concerned is the one living in our day and age to whom the Lord is currently revealing His will for us. Therefore the most important reading we can do is any of the words of the prophet contained each month in our Church Magazines. Our instructions about what we should do for each six months are found in the General Conference addresses which are printed in the Church magazine.

Nelson17

Beware of those who would set up the dead prophets against the living prophets, for the living prophets always take precedence. . . .

. . . it is the living prophet who really upsets the world. “Even in the Church,” said President Kimball, “many are prone to garnish the sepulchres of yesterdays prophets and mentally stone the living ones.” (Instructor, 95:527.)

Why? Because the living prophet gets at what we need to know now, and the world prefers that prophets either be dead or worry about their own affairs. Some so-called experts of political science want the prophet to keep still on politics. Some would-be authorities on evolution want the prophet to keep still on evolution. And so the list goes on and on. . . .

There will be times when you will have to choose between the revelation of God and reasoning of menbetween the prophet and the professor.”

President Benson also added this wide counsel which each of us should apply to ourselves:

How we respond to the words of a living prophet when he tells us what we need to know, but would rather not hear, is a test of our faithfulness. . . .

If we want to know how well we stand with the Lord then let us ask ourselves how well we stand with His mortal captainhow close do our lives harmonize with the Lord’s anointedthe living ProphetPresident of the Church, and with the Quorum of the First Presidency” (President Ezra Taft Benson, “Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet,” BYU Address, February 26, 1980).

Each person in the world who hears the proposition that God has again sent prophets to teach and lead mankind must make a decision whether it is true or false. That decision will largely determine his or her standing before God. Remember that prophets, when inspired by the Holy Spirit, speak for God. To reject a true prophet is to reject the true God. To accept a true prophet is to accept the true God.

Every six months, the prophet and apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gather in what is called General Conference to give talks on Gospel doctrine. They speak of the Lord, His Atonement and resurrection, His divinity and perfection, His right of Kingship over the earth, and the reality that He is returning to His earth sooner than later. They speak of the central importance of families and marriage to our Heavenly Father’s great Plan of Salvation. They speak of specific points of doctrine, whether it be baptism, prayer, scripture study, and so forth. I have never gone away from a Conference without feeling uplifted, strengthened, and more committed to follow Jesus Christ.

Jesus37

This April 4 and 5 will be the next General Conference of the Savior’s Church. His prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, will preside and address the world. Living apostles will speak and share their testimonies and instruct the humble Saints of God throughout the earth. I invite you, dear reader, to tune in and prayerfully watch the broadcasts. Listen to the Holy Spirit and see what He prompts you to do about the messages. Investigate the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter-day Saints and read The Book of Mormon. You will be uplifted and inspired if you do so. If you are reading this article after April 4 and 5, fear not, the Church has a massive archive system housing the General Conference addresses of the past fifty years on its website https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/

The Lord Jesus Christ is shining light into the world at an increasing rate. The Devil is also belching out mists of darkness at an unprecedented pace. We must stay close to the Spirit, hold to the commandments, walk on the covenant path the Savior walked, and bind ourselves to God’s will if we are to survive these days. Thankfully, we don’t have to do it alone – the Lord has given us living prophets to show us the way to our Redeemer.

Jesus is the light and life of the world. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the One who presides over the earth and the One who shows His prophets how to direct mankind for their benefit. If we wish to come to Jesus, we must first come to His prophet, who at this time is President Russell M. Nelson. It is he who holds the keys of presidency in the Holy Priesthood. It is at his authorization that local missionaries and authorities can baptize us into the Lord’s Church, confer upon us the gift of the Holy Ghost, and initiate us into higher saving ordinances – such as the ordinance of eternal marriage – in the Lord’s temples. What a blessing!

I close this article with my witness of Jesus Christ and His servants. Jesus Christ died for our sins. He bled and suffered and died so that you and I could repent, improve, and eventually receive exaltation in our Heavenly Father’s Kingdom. We are the literal sons and daughters of our Eternal Father and Jesus is our Elder Brother and Only Begotten Son of God in the flesh. They love us with a familial bond and wish the best for us. They love us more than we can fathom; more than we love ourselves or our dearest relatives. Out of this great love, the Lord has sent prophets into the world in our day. Of this I testify with all my heart and invite you to investigate my claims for yourself.

Go to the Father in prayer and ask Him, in the name of Jesus Christ, whether or not this is true. If you are humble and prepared to act on any revelation you might receive, you will receive it. And then you will know for yourself, independent of all other sources, and in the face of opposition and mockery, that Jesus lives and that prophets also live and speak in His holy name.

I close with a statement from President Russell M. Nelson, the Lord’s prophet, which I encourage everyone to read and heed:

Our message to the world is simple and sincere: we invite all of God’s children on both sides of the veil to come unto their Savior, receive the blessings of the holy temple, have enduring joy, and qualify for eternal life.

Nelson12

I bless you to raise your voice in testimony, as I do now, that we are engaged in the work of Almighty God! Jesus is the Christ. This is His Church, which He directs through His anointed servants. I so testify, with my expression of love for each of you, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen” (President Russell M. Nelson, “Let Us All Press On,” General Conference, April, 2018).

The Coronavirus Psyop

The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant. Surgeon General, “The risk is low to the average American.”” – President Donald Trump

The world is currently witnessing one of the largest psyops in recent years. I speak, of course, about the media-induced mass hysteria surrounding Coronavirus. Despite the fact that at present 98-99% of people getting the virus recover, the whole world is losing its collective mind. This article addresses why the media is so hellbent on hyping Coronavirus and how the powers-that-be might try to manipulate public panic to their advantage.

FB_IMG_1583772525501

Before we proceed, let’s refresh our memory about what a psyop is. Psyop is short for psychological operation. It is a military/intelligence term. A 2005 Army manual spoke of the purpose of U.S. psyops in this manner:

The purpose of PSYOP is to induce or reinforce foreign attitudes and behavior favorable to U.S. national objectives. PSYOP are characteristically delivered as information for effect, used during peacetime and conflict, to inform and influence. When properly employed, PSYOP can save lives of friendly and adversary forces by reducing the adversaries’ will to fight. By lowering adversary morale and reducing their efficiency, PSYOP can also discourage aggressive actions and create dissidence and disaffection within their ranks, ultimately inducing surrender.”

For our purposes, we can say that a psyop is used by the global Marxist Elite, or the powers-that-be, to use information warfare to diminish humanity’s morale and will to fight against their despotic schemes. They create fear and confusion and stimulate a sense of extreme fatalism – the sort we see play out every day in dystopian films and books. Ultimately, a psyop is intended to make people feel so overwhelmed or befuddled that they crave stability and order, even if it means surrendering their Liberty and sovereignty to achieve it.

Psyops only work on weak-minded nations which feel no sense of destiny and duty. A moral, upright, and informed people cannot be hoodwinked by baseless lies. Yet, if they become detached from their national roots, shed their heritage, and reject their God, then psyops can work to lead them this way or that at whim of the social engineers.

Edward Bernays, often called the “father of propaganda,” gave us these remarkable statements in his classic book Propaganda:

Small groups of persons can, and do, make the rest of us think what they please about a given subject. . . .

There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.

Now, what is still more important, the extent to which our thoughts and habits are modified by authorities.

In some departments of our daily life, in which we imagine ourselves free agents, we are ruled by dictators exercising great power. . . .

The invisible government tends to be concentrated in the hands of the few because of the expense of manipulating the social machinery which controls the opinions and habits of the masses” (Edward Bernays, Propaganda, 57, 61-63).

corona-kill-us-all-662x651-662x651_c

Yes, there are devious social engineers who, through the clever use of propaganda, information warfare, and psychological operations, lead us like a lamb to the slaughter. They shape our habits and thoughts. They influence our culture and politics. They manipulate so many aspects of our daily lives, yet we are generally oblivious to their operations.

The social controllers’ operations are fueled by fear. When humans become fearful, they renounce reason and are fairly easy to trick with false promises like “hope and change.” Tyrants everywhere know that if they can manipulate emotion, they can achieve their purposes.

One of our Founding Fathers, my distant ancestor Caleb Strong, remarked on the human tendency to prize state stability over personal Freedom. He said:

Almost every nation, at some period of their existence, have enjoyed the privileges of a free State; but how few have preserved them! – they have been lost by the inconstancy of the citizens, or forfeited by their vices. In many republicks, repeated variations in the modes of government have taken place, as different parties happen to predominate, until the people became weary of changes, and preferred the quiet of absolute power, to the tumults of perpetual revolution.”

The Sage of Monticello, the great Thomas Jefferson, likewise remarked:

[A]ll timid men . . . prefer the calm of despotism to the boisterous sea of liberty.”

Benjamin Franklin, of course, agreed with his colleague and added a rebuke:

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Finally, Alexander Hamilton seconded Franklin’s reprimand and affirmed:

The Nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a Master and deserves one.”

Our noble forefathers understood that Freedom cannot survive in a culture of fear. They warned that those who give in to fear and allow confusion to reign in their minds can never retain their precious Liberty. In 2020, we seem to have forgotten these eternal truths. Instead, we’ve fully embraced the culture of fear promoted by the controlled media. Nowhere is this more evident than in the way we’ve reacted to the media’s Coronavirus hype.

FB_IMG_1584050691128

Let’s review a short list of ways that people around the world are hysterically reacting to Coronavirus:

The entire nation of Italy has been quarantined

Red China has quarantined some 60+ million of its subjects

The World Health Organization has declared Coronavirus a global pandemic

Eight states in the United States, plus various counties and cities including Washington D.C., have

   declared a “state of emergency”

New York has called out the National Guard (shades of martial law)

Cities are revoking permits for large public gatherings and fairs, concerts, and other community

    gatherings are being canceled

Stores shelves are being emptied of items, making toilet paper hoarding into a viral meme

Angela Merkel is telling Germans that 70% of them will get the virus

President Trump has announced a halt on all flights from Europe for the next thirty days

The NBA has suspended all games until further notice

People are canceling vacations – especially on cruise ships – and Princess Cruises has suspended all

cruises for the next two months

Churches are closing down meetings and worship services

Companies are telling their workers to conduct business digitally from home

Some companies have begun laying off workers

Tax day is being delayed for some groups and companies

Schools and universities are being closed all over the globe

Subways in major cities are eerily empty

Many people have stopped shaking hands, opting to rub elbows or give fist bumps

People are avoiding Chinese restaurants (which the Establishment media and lunatics like AOC are

    calling “racist”)

The list could go on much longer, but this gives you the flavor of the hysterical overreaction we’re seeing everywhere.

Let’s now set aside the hysteria and instead look at a few relevant facts. In a world of 7.8 billion inhabitants, there are 127,863 cases of Coronavirus. 4,718 have died from the virus while 68,310 have successfully recovered.

Every death is a tragedy, of course, but people die every day from a thousand different causes – cancer, drunk drivers, homicide, gang violence, drug overdose, HIV, Ebola, and so forth. Many of these listed items have a far higher mortality rate than Coronavirus. At present, Coronavirus has a less than one percent mortality rate! 99% of people survive their encounter with the virus!

corona-virus-emojis-759

Dr. Anthony Fauci, who heads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, announced yesterday that Coronavirus is ten times more lethal than the seasonal flu. The media ran with the headline and ignored the substance of Dr. Fauci’s statements. While the scary headline makes it sound like a pandemic, it actually means that there’s nothing much to worry about. As The Week reported:

At the same time, [Dr. Fauci] did clarify that 10 times figure actually brings the new coronavirus’ fatality rate lower than official estimates, which hover around 3 percent. The flue has a mortality rate of about 0.1 percent, so, when considering the likelihood that there are many asymptomatic or very mild cases that have gone undiagnosed, Fauci places the new coronavirus’ lethality rate at somewhere around 1 percent.”

Did you catch that? The new findings show that Coronavirus fatality is actually “lower” than previously thought. About 1% of people die from the virus – and the majority of these are elderly folks who are naturally more susceptible to disease. The highest fatality rates, in fact, are found among those 60 years and older. Yet, the media wants everyone to think they’re on death’s doorstep and that they should panic and be very, very afraid.

Let’s put this into greater perspective for our own country. In the United States, with a sprawling population of 330 million, only 39 people have died. At least 19 of those 39 lived together in a single nursing home in Washington state. Many of the others happened to be older people as well.

The most fundamental takeaway from any reporting about Coronavirus should be that your odds of survival are 99% and that there is no reason to panic. Of course, it’s wise to take common sense precautions such as self-isolation at home if you feel flu symptoms coming on (I assumed most people did that anyway) and carefully washing your hands (again, I thought this was standard practice). The most important thing not to do as COVID-19 dominates headlines is to panic.

Let’s now discuss the real danger posed by Coronavirus. The real danger is the way people are hysterically reacting to the media’s deliberately overblown coverage. Columnist Dawn Neesom articulated my thoughts perfectly when she wrote:

The human race is in grave danger. Thousands of people are showing severe symptoms already and there is no known cure.

No, not coronavirus, but sheer bloody stupidity.

Never have so many brain cells been sacrificed on the altar of toilet paper fever. Come on people, what is that about?

Why, when you’re warned you may get a (for most folk, mild) respiratory tract infection do you instantly think what you really need in your life is industrial supplies of bog roll? . . . .

. . . can we all stop being hysterical halfwits and get a grip.”

funny-coronavirus-meme-reddit-2-1

Don’t we recall the media hype surrounding Swine Flu, West Nile Virus, Zika, Ebola, and others? Each time, the media told us the end was near and that a possible global pandemic had started. And each time the diseases ran their course, the world shockingly didn’t end, and we all moved on with our lives. Coronavirus will also run its course and we’ll all move on like it never happened.

As is so often the case with human beings, the damage caused by the knee-jerk reaction is exponentially worse than the damage caused by any given event. There are laws against shouting “Fire!” in a crowded theater because people are so gullible and susceptible to hysteria that they’ll trample each other to death in their mad dash to get out of the theater. The media is essentially guilty of yelling “Fire!” whenever they blare the headline “Coronavirus!”

The evil people of the world are loving the chaos (they helped cause it after all). They know that with people so distracted, so fearful, and so hysterical beyond the point of reason, that they can force upon us tyrannical measures – measures we’d never normally accept, but which we welcome because our brains are so impaired by fear. It was the same after 9/11 when the Bush administrator rammed the unconstitutional Patriot Act down America’s throat. The global tyranny apparatus is currently ramping up their attempts to surveil, track, and micromanage us in the name of “keeping us safe” from Coronavirus.

We already live in a burgeoning police state with our activity being constantly tracked by the NSA, CIA, FBI, Google, Facebook, and other organizations. This police state, however, is taking on a disturbing medical aspect. They are using Coronavirus to expand their already massive surveillance apparatus. In Red China, the birth place of Coronavirus, Chinese subjects are already surveilled beyond imagination. However, the communist state’s illicit tracking measures have been extended and medical police units were seen dragging people off the streets like dogs and forcing them into quarantine in de facto prisons. If we think “it can’t happen here,” we better think again. With the right amount of hype, which the media is demonstrating they can whip up when needed to suit their agenda, it most certainly can happen.

In his March 9 article “Why this Draconian Response to COVID-19?” Jeffrey Tucker wrote a brilliant analysis of the global, media-induced hysteria. He wrote:

[G]overnments are willy-nilly making drastic decisions that profoundly affect the status of human freedom. Their decisions are going to affect our lives in profound ways. And there has thus far been no real debate on this. It’s just been presumed that containment of the spread rather than the care of the sick is the only way forward.

What’s more, we have governments all-too-willing to deploy their awesome powers to control human populations in direct response to mass public pressure based on fears that have so far not been justified by any available evidence. For this reason, we have every reason to be concerned.

Are we really ready to imprison the world, wreck financial markets, destroy countless jobs, and massively disrupt life as we know it, all to forestall some uncertain fate, even as we do know the right way to deal with the problem from a medical point of view? It’s at least worth debating.”

106366591-1580473423431scan

Tucker also quoted a Psychology Today article. He wrote:

More and more, the containment response is looking like global panic. What’s interesting, Psychology Today points out, is that your doctor is not panicking:

““. . . I’ve treated countless patients with coronaviruses over the years. In fact, we’ve been able to test for them on our respiratory panels for the entirety of my career. . . . .

. . . We know more about it than we don’t know.””

Yes, we know more about this allegedly “novel” virus than we don’t know. There’s not much “novel” about it and doctors have known about it for many years. And again, please recall, that 99% of people walk away from their encounter with the usually very mild Coronavirus.

Rush Limbaugh recently made a point that I’ve independently observed. He noted that doctors are the ones not panicking. The media are panicking. Politicians are panicking. Ignorant people the world over are panicking. But most doctors are not.

Dr. Drew Pinsky, for instance, slammed the media during a recent FOX News interview. He firmly stated:

[G]uys that is absolutely the case the panic is far worse than the virus. Let the professionals whose job it is to contain pandemic do their job. They’re doing an amazing job! World-wide the efforts and the effect of organizations like the CDC, the WHO, has been remarkable. And yet the media has continues to take every effort to fan the flames of panic. Look, the WHO has said there’s about a 3% fatality rate on this virus and every time they say that they always qualify it and say we expect it to drop a lot once we understand the full extent of the virus . . . This is a flu season, everybody . . . Why aren’t we worried about that? . . . You’re much more likely to die of the flu than the Coronavirus. . . .

Let me assure you, you don’t need to panic . . . I’ve seen the media go to such great lengths. A local news agency in Los Angeles had a footage of a paramedic being dispatched to a cruise ship repeatedly all evening, their lead story. And then at the end they go, oh, by the way, there was a fight on the cruise ship and somebody got injured.”

d294eaed-7aaf-40c9-bb7c-c187c3005be5-large16x9_coronaviruscanceledevents

Truthfully, the panic is far worse than the actual disease. The paranoia and hysteria is more damaging to society than the virus! The panic would have never started or spread if the media hadn’t deliberately fanned the flames and openly encouraged overreaction.

Furthermore, the media is raising expectations so that it can dash them later and cause more uncertainty. They do this by saying we will “contain” the spread of the virus. Will we? Have we contained the flu? Have we contained the common cold? We haven’t even eradicated Bubonic Plague, for crying out loud! Of course not.

On his March 11 program, Rush Limbaugh rightly said that our efforts to “contain” this virus are “guaranteed to fail, by design.” Even among alternative media outlets, Rush’s show is, as he says it is, one of the last bastions of sanity – especially regarding Coronavirus. Rush has tried to allay fears and combat the hysteria. Yet, even some who should know better are giving into the panic. Rush is correct: All we can do is take common sense precautions and then let the virus run its course.

Reason recently published an article titled “Coronavirus Will Be Deadly To Your Liberty.” In it, J.D. Tuccille wrote:

Nothing makes government grow like a crisis. People get scared, politicians respond to that fear with promises that the state will step in and make everything better, and government ends up larger and more powerful. The pandemic of COVID-19 coronavirus threatens a world-wide wave of sickness, but it’s the healthiest thing to happen to government power in a very long time. As it leaves government with a rosy glow, however, our freedom will end up more haggard than ever.

““You can look at it as socialized medicine,” Rep. Ted Yoho (R–Fla.) said on Tuesday about White House proposals to have the federal government foot the bill for uninsured COVID-19 patients. “But in the face of an outbreak, a pandemic, what’s your options?”

Yoho isn’t the only Republican to have found a new place in his heart for government control of healthcare; obviously, the Trump administration is on-board, too.

Fear is the key here to Yoho’s sudden love for socialized medicine, as well as other panicked proposals for the government to somehow save us from the pandemic. Fear is a survival characteristic, but it makes us vulnerable to the impulse—or demand—that we surrender control to somebody else. . . .

Like all crises, the COVID-19 pandemic will pass, hopefully with a minimum of illness and death. But it will leave behind a residue of laws, spending, and precedents for future government actions that won’t depart in its wake. That’s because of what Higgs calls the “ratchet effect,” by which each crisis sees government shrink a little, but never back to its pre-crisis status. “Thus, crisis typically has produced not just a temporarily bigger government but also permanently bigger government,” he wrote.

So, even after the public panic retreats, the politicians’ calculations subside, and COVID-19 becomes more knowable and treatable, we’ll be left with the permanent swelling of government caused by the latest crisis.”

dfffuuownload (1)

While President Trump’s calm and quick reaction to Coronavirus is, on the whole, commendable, he has nevertheless jumped on board with big government train. President Trump has never been a constitutionalist and has overstepped his authority on numerous occasions, and Coronavirus is once again causing him to throw around money that isn’t his to throw around and involve government where it doesn’t belong. But as has been often said, you can’t let a good crisis go to waste.

One of the concerns about the media-induced mass hysteria is the call for mandatory vaccination and greater government intervention in medicine and health care. We already know that a Coronavirus vaccine is in the works and that the Army has signed up to use its members as guinea pigs. I have been an opponent of vaccination for a lot of years. The science behind alleged vaccine effectiveness is fraudulent. Vaccine effectiveness, however, is not the issue. Personal Liberty is the issue.

In my article “Vaccine Tyranny,” I reasoned:

On the face of it, it seems obvious that no government or majority of citizens should ever be allowed to force you to let a needle pierce your skin and inject chemicals and viruses into your body. People don’t think about it in those terms, but that is the reality of what we’re discussing. We are talking about whether society has a right to force you to inject foreign substances into your body. It seems preposterous that any sane and just person would agree that the community has authority over your body to such a degree that they can force you, via the police power of the state, to inject yourself with viruses and chemicals. Yet that is precisely what the pro-vaccine lobby is proposing.”

Yet, if we allow our culture of fear to get out of hand, we may face a situation – whether with Coronavirus or with a future real or hyped pandemic – where society, inspired by the rabid media jackals, clamors for forced vaccination. At any rate, Coronavirus will nudge government even deeper into medicine. Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai of MIT recently quipped on Twitter:

[T]he #coronavirus fear mongering by the Deep State will go down in history as one of the biggest fraud to manipulate economies, suppress dissent, & push MANDATED Medicine!”

vaccines6

I concur with Dr. Ayyadurai. It is my estimation that the media is hyping the Coronavirus “threat” for one primary reason: To give them an excuse to blame President Donald Trump and to say that unless President Trump is removed from office, society will collapse. I repeat: Coronavirus is a psyop. The Elite want us to feel so overwhelmed and panicked for a savior that we’ll vote against our best interests in November and elect one of the radical socialists vying currently for the Democratic Party nomination.

I’ve believed for a long time that the reelection of Donald Trump in November was a foregone conclusion, barring any shenanigans or fraud. Perhaps Coronavirus it the Establishment’s trump card. If so, despite the momentary hysteria, it is a rather weak one.

Yet, the major area where the virus has been felt is in the economy. It is suspicious, is it not, that the United States has an economy at an eleven year high with record unemployment, and a president freshly acquitted for preposterous allegations and enjoying a record high approval rating, when suddenly the media shifts to 24/7 Coronavirus hysteria. The global Elite – whether or not they were behind the release of the virus – have seized the moment and have used Coronavirus as an excuse to tamper with the stock market, halt trade, and create financial panic.

An article on ZeroHedge discussed the Coronahoax’s impact on the economy and what we can expect because of overreaction and unnecessary mass hysteria:

The dark side of the gig economy could soon be realized as virus impacts are starting to mount, especially in West Coast cities. Millions of gig economy workers are low paid and lack proper health insurance. Some of these folks have barebone policies that require them to pay the first few thousand dollars of medical bills.

The obvious risk to the gig economy so far is cities shutting down that forces a decline in the need for certain services, many of these folks don’t have a financial safety net nor health care for if they contract the virus. It’s simple: American workers aren’t prepared for a pandemic. . . .

As cases and deaths soar in Seattle this week, the first views of the gig economy and services sector grinding to a halt is in downtown Seattle. The area has transformed into a ghost town, as the lack of tourists and people quarantined at home has created a demand shock for the local economy.”

FB_IMG_1583981565337

Dear reader, please understand that if Coronavirus spreads and morphs into a truly global pandemic – and that is a massive if – it will be because the powers-that-be want it to spread and use their controlled media to whip everyone up into a frenzy. They are using their power over the stock market and the Federal Reserve to put a chill on the economy, which President Trump has rightly criticized. I believe they’re giddy about the prospects of a destroyed economy because it will give them ammunition to tarnish President Trump’s reputation.

You must understand that the global Elite are communists and subscribe to Marxist dogma. Communists thrive on chaos. Chaos is the petri dish in which communism grows. Without mass hysteria, panic, and worry, which cancel out our reasoning ability and normal use of logic, communists cannot swindle their way into power using the only slogans they know – false promises of “hope and change.”

Regardless of what happens with Coronavirus, future pandemics are a certainty. We know this because the communist world has made plans to use them as part of their strategy for world takeover. Igor Shafhid, a Soviet military specialist who handled deadly bio-chemical agents, wrote a book titled Inside the Red Zone: Physical and Spiritual Preparedness Against Weapons of Mass Destruction. In that book, he warned:

When Satan’s real mask is removed at the end of time, then he will be exposed for what he is, the father of lies. Many nations will become confused and start fighting against him during the Battle of Armageddon. Satan’s evil that prompted humankind to develop the WMD will come in handy for him to destroy God’s creation. He knows that an ungoldy nation that harbors nuclear/biological/chemical weapons, such as Russia, China, and North Korea, are excellent candidates for using this weaponry as a “power” to horsewhip other nations under their submission. I remember all too well in the Soviet army how I reveled in the fact that my country had so much power over all the other nations. Let us not be naive; those thoughts are still alive in the Russian Federation . . . Those that fight to do away with weapons of mass destruction will not succeed, because no one nation will give up its place for power – and the Day of Wrath will come, and nuclear war will be inevitable” (Igor Shafhid, Inside the Red Zone, 163).

While some might blame me for hyping the threat of nuclear war with Russia and China, it’s the furthest thing from hype. Rather, it is merely an admission of the enemy’s own stated war plans. They plan to one day attack the West first by softening us up with psychological operations and high-powered weapons like biological agents and EMPs, and finishing up with nuclear strikes. This has been admitted by defectors and former spies and soldiers like Shafhid. Recent updates to Russia’s military doctrine actually also call for an increased use of strategic nuclear weapons than past doctrine called for, so we would be unwise to discount and prepare for the threat.

89930699_1791710654298467_7726203122447548416_n

We also have to note the reality that Satan exists and inspires evil people in high places with truly ghastly and demonic ideas. The governing body of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued a warning in 1942 that is relevant today. They stated:

Satan is making war against all the wisdom that has come to men through their ages of experience . . . He plans to destroy liberty and freedom – economic, political, and religious, and to set up in place thereof the greatest, most widespread, and most complete tyranny that has ever oppressed men. He is working under such perfect disguise that many do not recognize either him or his methods. There is no crime he would not commit, no debauchery he would not set up, no plague he would not send, no heart he would not break, no life he would not take, no soul he would not destroy. He comes as a thief in the night; he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Without their knowing it, the people are being urged down paths that lead only to destruction. Satan never before had so firm a grip on this generation than he has now” (President Heber J. Grant, Message of the First Presidency, General Conference, October, 1942).

Yes, there is nothing Satan, and those who lend themselves to his plan, won’t do to destroy and enslave mankind. They might even unleash a horrific plague to terrify us, lower earth’s population, and prepare us for perpetual slavery. Coronavirus, however, is not that plague. It is not threat to the average person.

While certain elderly demographics are more at risk, the average person is not at risk because of Coronavirus. And 99% of those who contract the virus suffer only mild symptoms and eventually recover. And yet, Coronavirus, like warnings of legitimate catastrophes, reminds us of the need to prepare ourselves, first spiritually by aligning our lives with God’s laws, and second physically.

Physical preparedness is fundamental. An unprepared patriot is hardly a real patriot. We should prepare for cataclysms, we should develop contingency plans for disasters, and we should stock up on necessary supplies (such as a one-year food storage), but we should do so in a reasonable and ordered manner. One of the marks of a free and civilized society is order. One of the signs of a corrupt society is emotion-driven, knee-jerk reactions to everything – tribalistic hysteria and a mob mentality. Let’s be ordered in our preparations for future disasters – real disasters – that surely will come.

Before you pay too much attention to what the media is saying about Coronavirus, however, remember that this is the same group of professional liars that said mankind causes global warming, that told you JFK’s head was pushed violently forward by a bullet from behind, that said Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election, that claimed “communism is dead,” and that tells you to give up all your guns for your protection. If you can’t trust them in their normal reporting, why should you trust them now?

media4

A NOQ Report writer has also noted the similarities in media hype between global warming and Coronavirus. Marc Giller correctly analyzed the hype and its ultimate purpose:

The kind of fear that the news media have been stoking over the novel strain of coronavirus—or Wuhan Virus to all you ten-toothed bigots out there—is precisely the same fear that they’ve been trying to gin up for years over global warming. Millions of deaths, social upheaval, massive disruptions to everyone’s lives—all of these things have been hyped as the inevitable result of climate change driven by the insatiable demand for fossil fuels required by the greedy capitalist system. Only problem was, the best our activist media could threaten us with was Armageddon in another hundred years or so—and that didn’t exactly terrify people they way they had hoped.

Then lo and behold, along comes coronavirus.

And so the media shifted gears and stomped on the gas, so to speak, because here they finally had something they could use right now! to whip the masses into a frenzy—and boy, was it a doozy. An exotic virus of mysterious origin, straight out of a Hollywood thriller, escapes containment from China to the West where it stands poised to kill, kill, kill! . . . .

. . . the [media’s] goal is to cast the Trump Administration’s handling of the outbreak as incompetent. Oh, and then there’s spooking the markets in an attempt to drive the country into recession, conveniently ahead of November’s election—thus taking away Trump’s strongest campaign issue, a thriving economy that his policies helped create. Everything that the media emphasizes is directed toward those two objectives, which is why you’re seeing a freakout at levels we never saw during Ebola and H1N1—which, not coincidentally, happened under Barack Obama’s watch.”

All of the emotion-driven hype about Coronavirus – which is what the media always resorts to when it desperately wants something like a Donald Trump defeat in November – is just as unfounded as the propaganda about the global warming hoax. The next time you hear the media holler about Coronavirus, imagine Greta Thunberg yelling “How dare you!” in your ear. That will give you the right perspective. The underlying fact that 99% of people recover from Coronavirus the shining truth that cannot be hid.

During his excellent Oval Office address to the nation, President Trump correctly said that “this is just a temporary moment of time that we will overcome together as a nation and as a world.” The Coronavirus scare will be an embarrassing point of history, but little more in terms of human health and well-being. The only things that are truly concerning are people’s hysterical reaction to fake media scare propaganda, government intervention in medicine, the expansion of the police state, and tampering of the global financial markets.

CoronaLisa

Ninety-nine percent of Coronavirus victims survive; and so will you. The already minimal threat of the virus will pass in due time. However, will the negative consequences to our Liberty be so easily reversed? One thing is certain: If mankind wants to come out of this artificial, media-induced “crisis” intact, it must recognize and totally reject the Coronavirus psyop.

Women Then and Now

The problem with feminism, I think the principal problem, is the cultivation of an attitude of victimization. Feminism tries to make women believe they are victims of an oppressive, male-dominated, patriarchal society. They wake up in the morning with a chip on their shoulder.” – Phyllis Schlafly

What I’ll write today will offend feminists; and I’m ok with that. The lyrics “if I offended you, you needed it” come to mind. Sometimes we need to be jarred awake before we realize we’re wrong. Awakening must happen before change can occur.

55555unnamed (1)

To commemorate International Women’s Day, I offer this blunt rebuke of feminists everywhere. I seek to compare what society was like before “Women’s Liberation” and after. It will be obvious by the end of this comparison that “Women’s Liberation” means world subjugation.

Feminism is a diseased mindset. It is a philosophy of perversion, selfishness, and rebellion that is eroding civilization by undermining its basic unit – the patriarchal family. But before we deal directly with feminism and the havoc it has wrought, let’s examine life before women decided to deny their nature, rebel against God’s laws, and destroy society in their quest for so-called “equality.”

Before the advent of Marxist-inspired feminism, women were treated like queens and womanhood was highly cherished. It is one of the great feminist myths that before feminism women were chattel; mere property of oppressive men. Feminists deride their ancestors by calling them “domestic servants” or “doormats.” What Marxist-minded women see as “oppression,” however, was authentic Liberty. The stark reality is that women in the past were freer, happier, and more powerful than their modern counterparts.

From the beginning of time, God designated women as wives, homemakers, and mothers. They were to submit to their husbands as their husbands submitted to God. They were to be “help meets” to their husbands, bear and raise children, and provide a loving atmosphere for growth, service, and character-building in the home. A woman’s calling, when properly understood, is the highest and holiest calling.

With this scriptural comprehension of a woman’s role and mission in mind, it is perfectly understandable that women were expected by past societies to embrace wifehood and motherhood. All of society was predicated upon the idea of the traditional home, in which the woman played a decisive role.

The Christian philosopher and author C.S. Lewis wrote in 1955 of the overarching importance of a woman’s role. His statement captures the high regard in which former societies held women. He wrote to a Mrs. Johnson the following:

[A] housewife’s work . . . is surely, in reality, the most important work in the world. What do ships, railways, mines, cars, government etc exist for except that people may be fed, warmed, and safe in their own homes? As Dr Johnson said, ‘To be happy at home is the end of all human endeavour’. (1st to be happy, to prepare for being happy in our own real Home hereafter: 2nd, in the meantime, to be happy in our houses.) We wage war in order to have peace, we work in order to have leisure, we produce food in order to eat it. So your job is the one for which all others exist.”

mother28

This was the attitude that men and women in the pre-feminist world shared. They knew that the woman’s role was central not only to the smooth flow of society, but to the very continuance of the species. Men cherished women and women embraced their nature.

Authors Suzanne Venker and Phyllis Schlafly wrote in their phenomenal book The Flipside of Feminism, from which I will quote generously in this article, that far from being oppressed, American women have been the most blessed class of people on planet earth. They wrote of the power women possessed in the past:

Women of yesteryear had enormous power, just of a different variety. Today when we talk about power, we’re referring to money and status. That makes sense, for this kind of power reflects modern values. In the past, when marriage and family took center stage, women were exalted on the home front. Husbands deferred to wives on virtually all household matters, including child rearing. Women were revered for their unique sensibilities” (Suzanne Venker and Phyllis Schlafly, The Flipside of Feminism: What Conservative Women Know – and Men Can’t Say, 89).

These two ladies further reasoned in this way:

Despite the failures of the feminist movement, it did have one powerful effect: it eradicated the power women once had over men! Before the 1960s, Americans understood that women had something men wanted, needed, and couldn’t have without a woman’s consent: sex and his own children. By equating sex with love, as women naturally do, men become better human beings – and society is better for it. “Without a durable relationship with a woman, a man’s sexual life is a series of brief and temporary exchanges. With love, sex becomes refined by selectivity. The man himself is refined, and his sexuality becomes not a mere impulse but a commitment in society, wrote George Gilder in Men and Marriage.

Now that feminism has eliminated men’s need and desire to marry, the relationship between the sexes is unstable” (Venker and Schlafly, The Flipside of Feminism, 76-77).

proud-women-thenwomen-now-men-thenmen-now-society-then-society-47908992

In former times, women held much power. As Venker and Schlafly note, however, it was of a different variety. The sphere in which women held so much sway was the most important sphere of all – the home. While men are appointed by Almighty God to be the patriarchs and heads of their homes and to take the lead in providing the necessities of life, in Gospel study, in discipline, in home defense, and so forth, women are the beating heart that keeps a family vibrant and thriving. Their tender influence is vital.

A virtuous woman who could keep house and raise orderly, respectful children was treasured and sought after by honorable men. Honorable men throughout all of human history have fought mightily to defend good women. Disney’s Mulan, though an overtly feminist tale, shared a great truth when the soldiers sang: “What do we want? A girl worth fighting for!” Women have traditionally been so highly valued that men of all races, creeds, and nations have voluntarily laid down their lives by the millions to keep them safe – and more so when they bore and cared for their children.

Our ancestors were far more committed to the doctrines of Christ than we are, which largely accounts for the unparalleled success of Western civilization. They knew of the woman’s honored role in the Gospel Plan. They knew that women are co-creators with God and that motherhood is the highest and holiest calling in eternity. Our Christian forefathers also valued good women because they read the following words in their Bibles:

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. . . .

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. . . .

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised” (Proverbs 31:10-12, 25-28, 30).

The Bible is clear that a good woman’s worth is “far above rubies.” Women who humbly embrace their divinely-appointed roles as wives, homemakers, and mothers “shall be praised” for eternity. Their children and husbands will “call [them] blessed” and praise them for their selfless service in the home, and, by extension, in society and the world.

tumblr_oam2wfbQ001sgrduho1_1280

Women of the past knew that “the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.” They understood that if they wanted to change the world, they could do so most effectively from quiet of their own homes. They knew that raising good children who possess manners, character, virtue, industry, and discipline will do more to change the world than a hundred lifetimes working as lawyers, CEOs, or politicians. Feminism has robbed women of their true power and influence over society by luring them out of the home and away from their God-appointed mission.

Let’s underscore a precious truth: American women have traditionally been the most blessed, privileged, pampered, and doted upon group of women in world history. No women have ever had it better. No women have ever lived in a wealthier, freer, and more advanced society. No women have ever had a greater chance for good in the world than those who call the USA their home.

Yes, women of the past – those modest, classy, feminine, submissive, humble, home-oriented women upon whom modern feminists look with scorn – were blessed and privileged beyond measure. They were happier. They were more fulfilled by being mothers in the home than modern women are by working 9-5 desk jobs. And they were more loved, cared for, and protected by men.

Since the feminist virus infected society, the situation has radically changed. Our women have abdicated their ruby-studded thrones by engaging in demeaning and vicious conduct and entertaining anti-Christian ideals. They reject modesty, femininity, and elegance in favor of raucous immodesty and unlady-like conduct. They dress like hookers. They march nude in the streets. They act like petulant little children and screech about how they are such “victims.” In truth, they have only victimized themselves by fighting for an “equality” which was achieved on day one and embracing rebellious, unwomanly behavior.

Equality itself is a myth. It is a communist slogan designed to play upon people’s emotions. In reality, the only equality that exists is in the eyes of God and under the law. All other so-called “equality” is a lie. Achieving across-the-board “equality” has been the dream of Karl Marx and his co-conspirators in all ages. They want to make everyone equally poor, equally enslaved, and equally miserable. They do this by denying human nature and attempting to artificially force everyone to be the same, which they deem “equality.” Because their scheme denies human nature, it can never work to produce a happy, healthy, free, or successful society.

before-feminism-after-feminism-_happy-inside-_-smiles-when-someone-25922806

Let’s be honest: Some humans are better than others. Note that I did not say some humans have more value than others. We are each beloved sons or daughters of our Eternal Father and have limitless potential. I wrote an entire book, The Lineage of the Gods, to convince people that they can be far more than they think they can.

Rather, what I mean is that some people are simply more competent, more disciplined, more virtuous, more intelligent, more talented, and, accordingly, attain to a higher level of success, goodness, and greatness. There is nothing wrong with this type of inequality. It is the fruit of real Freedom. And there is nothing any government ever devised can do to thwart human nature and put every individual on par with all others. No matter how they might try, there will always be those who are lazy, inept, unintelligent, immoral, and bad – those whose aptitudes and choices earn for them a lower level of glory and reward than their fellows both here and hereafter.

Feminists exemplify this flawed Marxist attitude by always screeching about “equality.” In their book, Venker and Schlafly remarked:

Those who believe women in America have not yet achieved equality or that American women are somehow oppressed and need government intervention to level the playing field, think they’re fighting a nation that has wronged them. In reality, they are fighting human nature” (Venker and Schlafly, The Flipside of Feminism, 178).

feminism14

Another time, these two observant women noted:

The problem with the sexual revolution is that it was predicated on the lies that gender differences don’t exist and that women want what men want. In fact, there was no need for a movement to make men and women equal because they already were equal – different, but equal. The real reason female Democrats tell American women “there is still much work to be done,” as Beth Frerking does in Secrets of Powerful Women, is that they refuse to admit feminism failed. When you desperately want something to happen and it doesn’t, there is always more work to be done. Women on the left are trying to force a square peg into a round hole” (Venker and Schlafly, The Flipside of Feminism, 77).

Equal but different – a perfect phrase. We are each precious children of our Heavenly Father and equally loved by Him, and we are each endowed by Heaven with the equal rights, but in all other ways, we are different. Men and women have different desires. We see things differently. Our minds work differently. Our biology is different. Men tolerate pain and physical stress better than women do. Men fight better and excel more at sporting competitions. Women are naturally more nurturing and usually have a greater level of empathy and tenderness. Both genders – and there are only two genders regardless of what the mentally ill claim – are eternally different. It’s one of the wonderful things about life that while we are not the same, we are made to complement one another and make up where the other lacks. Trying to force us all to be the same is not only impossible and irrational, but at odds with nature and nature’s God.

I again draw a statement from Venker and Schlafly’s book The Flipside of Feminism. The speak about the deranged fight for impossible and undesirable “equality” and how blurring the lines between the genders creates confusion and undermines society:

When women usurp men’s role in society, as they do now, it messes up the order of things. Most men don’t want to compete with women; they want to take care of them. It makes men feel important and boosts their self-esteem. What’s more, statistics prove women want men to have the dominant role in the relationship. Recognizing this doesn’t give men carte blanche to treat women as subordinate – and most men don’t do this, or want to do this. That’s a feminist scare tactic to convince women otherwise.

tumblr_oyyceiWRbT1s9ibg1o1_1280

Today, if a person even alludes to the traditional male/female dance – especially if it’s a man – there is hell to pay. In 2006, Forbes editor Michael Noer wrote an article titled “Don’t Marry Career Women,” which sent feminists into a tizzy and prompted a rebuttal from Noer’s coworker, Elizabeth Corcoran. The point of Noer’s article was to highlight the social science research that proves career women, defined as those who work more than thirty-five hours a week, are “more likely to divorce, less likely to have children, and if they do have kids, are more likely to be unhappy about it.” Noer concedes that many employed mothers are happily married; he simply points out that studies show they’re less likely to be so than mothers who are not employed.

He also highlights a study that found both men and women are unhappy when wives make more money than their husbands. This is an inconvenient truth, to be sure; but that doesn’t make it any less true. It seems that despite women’s desire for independence, they still want to be taken care of – and money is part of that equation.

When women insist on competing with men at the same level, which is what happens when a society adopts the feminist view that men and women are the same, conflict ensues. It rears its ugly head on a logistical issues – as couples face the stress of both spouses having heavy workloads – and it rears its ugly head in the bedroom. It seems that highly educated couples who both spend their days at the office are more likely to cheat. “When your spouse works outside the home, chances increase that he or she will meet someone more likeable than you,” wrote Noer. This is not to suggest women shouldn’t be in the marketplace. But it is to say ramifications ensue when husbands and wives are both subjected to temptations on a consistent basis.

The marriages that stand the best chance of survival (and appear happiest) are those in which husbands and wives are not competing. Traditional marriages, in which wives depend on their husbands’ incomes and husbands defer to their wives on matters related to the home – including how to spend his income – are generally in harmony. Even in households in which women do work outside the home, smart wives don’t bring their professional selves home. They may wield some measure of power in the marketplace; but when they get home, these women take on a more traditional role.

The reversal of gender roles in modern America has been disastrous. It’s great that men spend more time with their kids than their own fathers did, and it’s great that modern advances have allowed women to be successful outside the home. But neither of these developments should eradicate the delicate balance between husbands and wives. They can each take part in the other’s primary role without supplanting it. That should be the goal.

Of all the ways to improve the relationship between the sexes, none is more important than accepting – and embracing – gender differences. Until we understand who men and women are as individuals and how they work in tandem, we will never be happy” (Venker and Schlafly, The Flipside of Feminism, 89-91.

I concur that recognizing and embracing gender differences is one of the single most important things society can do to correct itself and stop its downward spiral. Men are men. Women are women. Why is this such a revolutionary and controversial thing to say? It’s common sense. It’s basic biology. And it’s scriptural.

Society cannot survive when its families are in chaos. As goes the home, goes the society. And our homes cannot help but fracture and fall apart when women and men don’t embrace and fulfill their roles faithfully. Women, your place is in the home. Your Father in Heaven has appointed you to be a wife, homemaker, and mother. You are to support your husband, to submit to him guidance, to rear children, and to give selfless service. Men, your place is at the head of your family. You are the patriarch, provider, and defender of your home. You are to lead, guide, and discipline your wife and children. Children, your place is to honor and obey your parents.

Any other system of family order than the one outlined here is incorrect. “Alternative lifestyles” are not just different, they are wrong. True, life is not perfect and at times we have to amend our roles to fit our circumstances. For instance, at times a husband becomes injured and can’t work and the mother must leave the home to provide for the family. In this situation, this is her duty and she would be negligent not to fulfill it. Yet, the rule is that a woman should not work outside the home when there is no legitimate need – and especially not when children are at home in need of a mother’s touch.

Again I say that society cannot survive in the face of broken homes. Society is but a reflection of its homes. When we see crime, incivility, and immorality on the rise, we can be sure that the seeds of these bad habits were planted and cultivated in the home first. It is generally true that children who are raised correctly and with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as their sure foundation don’t depart from it. Those who are raised by absentee, permissive, or single parents, on the other hand, are exponentially more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol, to commit crime, to rape, to murder, and to perpetuate the cycle of broken homes.

Feminism is code for selfishness. Everything feminists do and promote is selfish. Birth control – selfish. Abortion – selfish. Unnecessarily limiting the number of children in a family – selfish. Sleeping around/fornicating – selfish. Working outside the home when it is not a necessity and there are children to be nurtured – selfish. No-fault divorce – selfish. And so on and so forth.

Abortion is perhaps the epitome of feminist self-centeredness. Feminists are so selfish that they are willing to obliterate the life of a helpless, defenseless, innocent, precious baby to avoid being “inconvenienced.” How callous, cruel, and unfeeling can a person be? Abortion is pagan human sacrifice on the altar of selfishness and Marxist ideology. It is barbarism that is incompatible with a free and civil society, incompatible with the Constitution, and incompatible with the fixed laws of Eternity.

When the hedonistic, me-centered “sexual revolution” occurred, it drastically altered the centuries-old dynamic in the home and in society. The primary consequence of the “sexual revolution” was that women and men both no longer felt the need to marry in order to engage in sexual relations. Women, in particular, no long saw marriage as a prerequisite. Venker and Schlafly have observed:

When, we might ask, did getting married and staying married become so difficult? Not surprisingly, at the same time casual sex became fashionable – the 1960s. That’s when feminists began emphasizing the individual over the family good. This shift in focus means American women no longer plan for marriage carefully, methodically, and with foresight. Rather, they are encouraged to focus solely on their identities and their careers. The notion that a woman should follow her own dreams, that she should be true to herself and not be held back by husband and children, has become a fait accompli. Women may want to settle down eventually, but marriage (and motherhood) is something that just sort of happens, as if it were a nice accompaniment to an otherwise fulfilling life. To the modern woman, work is the meat of her life. A husband is the salad.

This is a profound transformation. Married couples no longer think of themselves as one unit but as separate entities sharing space, which leads to an obscuring of gender roles and inevitable conflict as each spouse focuses solely on his or her own needs rather than the needs of the marriage. “The confusion over roles is there, as are the legacies of a self-absorbed, me-first, feminist-do-or-die, male-backlash society,” wrote Judith Wallerstein and Sandra Blakeslee in The Good Marriage: How and Why Love Lasts.

Men’s reaction to this phenomenon is twofold. They either give in to the new regime feminists have created, or they give up. Those who give in generally do so because they’ve either bought into the lie that women are just like men or because it’s easier to get along with the women in their lives than to fight them.

The men who give up tend to remain silent, for if they speak out against feminism, they’ll be labeled chauvinists. Many men would like to get married, but they know modern marriages are precarious. There’s also no incentive for them to do so since they can have sex whenever they want and even live with their girlfriends with little interference from society. This was the theme of the movie He’s Just Not That Into You. Two of the main characters, Neil and Berth, have been living together for seven years, but she dumps him when she realizes he isn’t going to marry her. Rather than accept her share of the blame (by choosing to cohabitate in the first place), Beth suggests Neil is the bad guy for not wanting to get married.

image21

He’s Just Not That Into You is a splendid example of how feminism failed women. The sexual revolution was billed as something that would put women on par with men, but instead it has ruptured the male/female relationship. At first, women hesitate to get married because they think they’ll lose their identities if they do; then when they are ready to get married (because their biological clocks are ticking), the men in their lives don’t want to marry them.

That is hardly progress on the road to happiness” (Venker and Schlafly, The Flipside of Feminism, 75-77.

A major part of this massive cultural shift we’re discussing was coaxing women out of the safety and comfort of their homes into the fast-paced workplace. Instead of enjoying fulfilling lives raising the next generation of leaders, businessmen, scientists, teachers, and so forth, women now waste their lives away in stale office jobs that can never offer them fulfillment or authentic happiness. I appeal yet again to Venker and Schlafly who wrote:

One of the ways 1970s feminists lured women out of the home was to demand that they focus their education on subjects that would advance their careers, rather than focus on subjects related to homemaking or teaching. Elite feminists push all women to plan their lives around careers. The result is that young women give little thought to marriage and motherhood and instead spend upwards of a decade becoming highly qualified for the workplace. Women believe this is the better life plan, since their mothers’ lives, they are told, were empty and meaningless. Women in previous decades may have had jobs, but they didn’t have careers. Like tempting children with candy, feminists assured women that there was a better life to be had. “Whether girls heard the call of independence from their family or the outside culture, they listened,” wrote Dr. Jean Twenge in Generation Me” (Venker and Schlafly, The Flipside of Feminism, 51-52).

The siren song of “equality” and “independence” has gained women extra burdens and greater misery while depriving them of the love and respect of men and true happiness. Real men don’t care what a woman’s profession is. We honestly don’t. And, furthermore, a woman who intends to continue working when married, for no reason other than that she is an “independent woman who don’t need no man,” is a major turn off. Rather, men want to know whether or not a woman will be committed to her husband, home, and family; whether she will be a submissive, virtuous, and gentle wife; and whether she’s mature enough to know that motherhood is her ultimate calling.

The great spiritual leader David O. McKay once gave us a principle that applies to both men and women, but which especially applies to women who, by divine design, are supposed to be in the home more frequently:

The home is the first and most effective place for children to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self-control; the value of education, honest work, and the purpose and privilege of life. Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home” (President David O. McKay, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Family Home Evening Manual, preface, iii).

kitchen2

Your highest calling, ladies, will be in your own home as a mother and a wife. You’re chasing a pipe dream if you expect to find happiness and fulfillment outside of the home. Though you should always expand your mind in the areas of history, politics, science, etc., you should base your education – both in and out of school – on developing the skills that will help you be a more successful spouse, wife, homemaker, and mother. You need to learn that the home is where you were designed to shine. It is the place where you can do the most good for others and where you can find the greatest measure of fulfillment. Women, society needs you to come home. We cannot survive another generation of motherless homes.

I share one final statement from Venker and Schlafly. They testified:

The truth is that feminism has been the single worst thing that has happened to American women. It did not liberate women at all – it confused them. It made their lives harder. Women today are caught between man and nature . . . Their female nature tells them sex requires love; marriage is important; children are a blessing; and men are necessary. The culture, meanwhile, tells them to sleep around and postpone family life because that will cost them their identity. And, if their marriage doesn’t work out, it’s no big deal. They can always get divorced.

Is it any wonder modern women are unhappy?” (Venker and Schlafly, The Flipside of Feminism, 55).

When you look at modern women, it is obviously they are not happy. They are bitter and caustic. They have a massive victim complex. And they lash out in disgusting ways unbecoming the “fairer sex.” And is it any wonder they’re so unhappy and riotous? They’ve denied their own nature, rejected the beautiful role God gave them, and have attempted to live like inferior men. As my Dad always said, feminists take the worst qualities of men, seek to imitate them (and fail), and call it “equality.”

I feel to address one additional aspect of the feminist nightmare through which society is passing. The “Women’s Liberation” movement is part and parcel of a much larger, world-wide scheme for the overthrow and subjugation of humanity. Yes, I’m referring to the c-word – conspiracy.

cultural-marxism-destruction

The Illuminati, whether people want to admit it or not, exited. That’s historically irrefutable. It is also irrefutable that they did not die out, as the court historians claim. Indeed, as I document in my books, you can trace the Illuminati to the birth of a particular ideology – communism. An Illuminati offshoot group, the League of the Just, hired Karl Marx to write The Communist Manifesto and changed its name to the Communist League. 70 years later, this same organization, under a new name, led the coup which conquered Russia and created the Soviet Union. Thus, communism is Illuminism. And it is a Satanic scheme that is very much alive and active in our world under a cornucopia of names and labels.

A major component of the Illuminati/communist vision was to “abolish the family.” Adam Weishaupt, the Illuminati’s occultist founder, explained their plot this way:

There is no way of influencing men so powerfully as by means of the women. These should therefore be our chief study; we should insinuate ourselves into their good opinion, give them hints of emancipation from the tyranny of public opinion, and of standing up for themselves; it will be an immense relief to their enslaved minds to be freed from any one bond of restraint, and it will fire them the more, and cause them to work for us with zeal, without knowing that they do so; for they will only be indulging their own desire of personal admiration” (John Robison, Proofs of a Conspiracy, 111).

Did you catch that? The Illuminati understood that men are the defenders of society. If you invade a nation, it is the men who mobilize and fight to repel you. And they fight for the purpose of protecting their women and children. These same women and children, therefore, are their weakness – their Achilles’ heel. If you can successfully manipulate the women, you can also manipulate the men and influence the rising generation. The chief way the Illuminati-communists have manipulated women in modern times is by employing the fancy slogan of “emancipation” (i.e. “liberation” from the patriarchy, “equality” with men, and “independence”).

Thus, “Women’s Liberation,” from the very beginning, had an ulterior motive – the destruction of the family unit. Later Illuminati agents, calling themselves Marxists, communists, and socialists, openly championed the Suffragette, Women’s Liberation, feminist, and LGBT movements. They are the LGBT movement’s chief sponsors and spokesmen today.

pjimage-81

Feminism is nothing but a communist front movement. Communists such as the Bolshevik Inessa Armand have boasted of this fact. She said:

If women’s liberation is unthinkable without communism, then communism is unthinkable without women’s liberation.”

Yes, all feminists are default communists. They are perhaps the deadliest Marxists in the world because they target the most sensitive and important of all institutions – the home. Little do feminist women know that they are being manipulated by a small group of evil men who are using them to destroy good men and topple society. Communists are the hammer, women are the anvil, and the family unit is being hammered to pieces in between the two.

When we compare women then and women now, feminism’s destructive influence is readily apparent. We can judge a tree by its fruit. Infanticide, broken homes, failed marriages, raging selfishness, rampant hedonism, widespread victim complexes, dysfunctional children, bitter men, and unhappy women are the rotten fruits. We would be exceedingly foolish to conclude that feminism is anything but a perversion and aberration that needs to be dumped onto the ash heap of history and forgotten.

Our forefathers honored and loved their women. The “patriarchy,” so-called, understood the divine roles of men and women; that we are equal in God’s eyes, but different in our functionality. They set up society to protect women and make their careers as wives, homemakers, and mothers as easy as possible. And they cherished those good women who embraced their godly calling and fulfilled it with humility.

What feminists call “oppression” that is, patriarchal families, wifely submission, sound families, strong marriages, and happy homes – is true Freedom. And what they call “liberation” – phantom “equality,” lonely lives, 9-5 desk jobs, a lower level of competence and respect, and less admiration and devotion from men who don’t benefit at all from women’s selfishness – is hellish enslavement. If we truly want to celebrate and honor women this International Women’s Day, we will ditch the Marxist talking points, admit that feminism has corrupted women, torn apart families, and undermined society, and begin to encourage women to return to their homes where they can serve as queens, with all the honor that her lofty station deserves.

Stalin – Man of Steel

The Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin is unarguably one of the most influential figures in modern times. Stalin directly presided over the second largest slaughter of human beings in recorded history and had a hand in the greatest episode of mass murder known to man. Literally billions of human beings languished under his iron grip or had their lives directly impacted by his orders. His influence is still felt at the present time. This article covers Stalin’s dark legacy and why the world cannot afford to forget him.

Stalin9

I take Stalin as my topic for this article because it was on March 5, 1953 that the Soviet state announced the death of the dictator. While the conventional wisdom is that the seventy-four-year-old tyrant died from complications resulting from a stroke, the official narrative is suspicious at best. I will not discuss it at length here, but suffice it to say that my personal opinion is that Stalin was murdered – most likely by Lavrenti Beria, the savage head of the KGB, or perhaps by Nikita Khrushchev who would eventually succeed Stalin as dictator of the Soviet Empire. At any rate, Stalin suffered for several days before, as a Smithsonian Magazine article put it, he “vomited blood and his stomach started hemorrhaging” and he died a fittingly bloody death.

Throughout his life, Stalin had dozens of aliases. Most communist outlaws had multiple aliases either because they were attempting to conceal their Jewish ethnicity or, as in Stalin’s case, because they were criminals engaged in a highly illegal and seditious lifestyle. “Stalin” is an alias meaning “man of steel” in Russian. He was also known to his intimates as Koba and often secretly signed orders that he wished not to be directly connected to himself with this name. Stalin was Georgian and his real name was Iosif Dzhugashvili.

One of the major influences on Stalin’s life was the Devilish dogma of Darwinism. In his early years, Stalin studied in a Christian school with the goal of becoming a priest. He sang in the choir and apparently had an excellent voice. However, in his teens, Stalin came across a banned book: On the Origin of the Species by Charles Darwin. From the time he read Darwin’s scientifically fraudulent and long since debunked theories, Stalin disavowed Christianity and hardened his heart toward truth and goodness.

Early on, Stalin began robbing banks. He developed something of a gang of followers. He began reading Karl Marx’s writings and became a devotee of Marxism. He then learned of Lenin and aligned himself with Lenin’s philosophy of state plunder and violent revolution. Stalin became one of Lenin’s financiers. His money came from “expropriations,” as they euphemistically called them, which included the loot from bank robbery, piracy, and other fraudulent schemes. Because of his criminality, Stalin was in and out of local prisons and spent time in exile in Siberia.

In 1917, Stalin assisted his fellow Bolshevik conspirators overthrow the provisional Russian government on the eve of a national congress to decide upon a future government. He remained in the shadows at the beginning as Lenin, Trotsky, and others stood at the forefront. However, Stalin worked quietly behind the scenes and came to hold the “General Secretary” position within the Communist Party. This position allowed him to stock the Soviet state apparatus with yes-men loyal to him as well as to monitor all communications coming into headquarters. By the time Lenin’s health had declined and he was relegated, by Stalin, to bed rest, Stalin had begun consolidating power and edging out rivals. Over time, and through mass arrests, murder, and devious cunning, Stalin consolidated all power in his own blood-soaked hands.

communism439

Few men in world history have ever had a cult-like following like Stalin did. Stalin exemplifies the concept of a “cult of personality.” Stalin was the Soviet state.

A passage from the explosive book Men Without Faces, written by the highly articulate ex-communist Louis Francis Budenz, captures the essence of the world-wide cult of Stalin worship that existed during his day:

Stalin worship is a reality. The average American, who goes to bed at night totally unaware of the future it lays down for him, should be made to understand that fact. Stalin worship is the mighty dynamic force which is killing off Chinese peasants, murdering men of religion, making great sections of the world huge concentration camps. His is the magic name that is beating down the United States – “the focal point and mainstay of world reaction” – as the Cominform’s organ boasted at the beginning of 1949.

America must realize that this “supreme master of bold revolutionary decisions” is the man whom the Soviet fifth column’s members, operating from Thirteenth Street [in New York City], plan to make ruler of a Soviet America. They assert that the cry, “For Stalin!” is the watchword of liberation. . . .

Every Red inner-party meeting, large or small, introduces in some vivid way the theme of devotion to Stalin. Every theoretical article written for Communist direction is scanned carefully in advance to determine whether it contains allusions to Stalin or to his teachings in proper measure. . . .

Without understanding the cult of Stalin worship – and that is what it has come to be – it is impossible to understand the Communist conspiracy. It is impossible to understand the life of the party member, especially the member who has been thoroughly trained, unless one appreciates what the constant repetition of Stalin’s name, attributes, and works has done to him. America must realize that these hosannas to Stalin are not fantastic ravings, but part of a cold, deliberate program designed to undermine any remnants of patriotism among Communists in capitalist countries and to obliterate democratic sentiments everywhere. If the average resident of Middletown, U.S.A., is inclined to shrug off such statements as bombastic, he would have a different view if he knew what rigid discipline can accomplish.

From the Baltic countries to China, Stalin worship records its victories in the conquests by the armed bands under Stalin’s banner. In the United States, it has also achieved its successes” (Louis Francis Budenz, Men Without Faces: The Communist Conspiracy in the U.S.A., 157-158).

At the zenith of his power, Stalin’s Soviet Empire spanned the globe, its slimy tentacles reaching into all nations. America was considered by the Soviets, and is still considered by the Russians today, as the “main enemy.” Everything was aimed at subverting and eventually subjugating the United States. We were the last major prize that needed to be collected by the ruling international Elite.

communism616

Because he was a career criminal, Stalin operated the Soviet state like a mob boss. His intelligence services operated like the most ruthless of mafias. Indeed, after the fake “collapse” of the USSR (political theater designed to trick the West into disarming in the face of “no” international threat), Soviet intelligence merged with the Russian mafia. The Russian mafia has a particularly strong grip on the state of Israel.

Yes, Stalin had a tremendous influence over his fellow communists and helped regiment them into a disciplined conspiracy apparatus prepared to sacrifice everything for the communist cause. And yet, Stalin was only one part – albeit an essential part – of a much larger machinery of deception and destruction.

In a short book written by a former Soviet commissar, we find this bit of crucial insight into the power behind Stalin and its aims. Stalin shared the ultimate aim of the conspiracy – power:

Today Stalin is the ruler of 189 different nationalities, a total of more than 170 million people, living within the boundaries of the Soviet Union. His rise to power; his capability to maintain his prestige; his genuinely Asiatic way of doing away with his enemies; and, last but not least, the fact that he, being neither Jew nor Russian, is able to surround himself with a staff of preponderantly Jewish collaborators who blindly obey his orders, is a riddle to a politically confused world.

But the wondering peoples of the world can blame no one but themselves for not understanding how a man like Stalin can rise to power; how he can go on exterminating his innocent chattels by the millions and even his collaborators by the thousands. By refusing to accept the truth that Stalin’s regime rests completely upon the power of International Jewry, the world deliberately discards the only logical and true explanation for the phenomenal career of this human monster who now resides behind the walls of the Kremlin.

The fact that Stalin has, and still is killing many a Jew in no way minimizes the role which International Jewry plays in Soviet Russia. The latter will never discriminate between Jew and Gentile, when it comes to furthering its plans.

A Jew disobedient to the mandates of the occult center, or one who dares to become arrogant, is as scrupulously done away with as a Gentile. International Jewry will tolerate antagonism within the ranks of its subordinates only as long as this discord does not interfere with the revolutionary strategy in general. . . .

To anyone who, like I, has escaped from Soviet Russia and has seen Bolshevism in its stark nudity, it is hard to understand how people in other countries, and especially the so-called intellectuals, can see any signs of “progress” in Russia. We fail to grasp how presidents and cabinets of foreign governments can officially recognize Stalin and his band of subordinates, most of whom are ex-criminals; yes, not only recognize them as equals at banquets or state functions, but even entrust to them the most important institution the international powers ever have organized – the League of Nations.

. . . an occult group of Internationalists are feverishly working toward the enslavement of the entire world, including the United States of America.

To achieve this end these human devils have not hesitated to enthrone a most brutal and cruel Asiatic half-breed in Soviet Russia. By so doing they have laid their hands firmly on one of the world’s richest countries, the enormous man power of which they hope to use in subduing the rest of the earth” (A Former Russian Commissar, Stalin, the Terrible, 9-10).

communism74

“Satan taking off his mask!”

I’ve gone to great lengths to persuade people that the communist conspiracy is not a Jewish conspiracy. However, I have also written much about the fact that Jews are disproportionately involved in the conspiracy. They are the primary movers and shakers within the movement. Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, and other key figures in Illuminism (such as its founder Adam Weishaupt), which later assumed the name communism, were Jews. Stalin’s reign, however, demonstrates that one need not be a Jew to belong to or wield influence in the conspiracy (as an interesting side note, Stalin’s third wife was a Jewess).

The key membership requirement is to share the conspiracy’s ideology and to submit to its secret laws, which laws have been taught to man by Satan whenever he can gain control over the hearts of willing individuals. Those at the highest levels of the cabal are knowing occultists who bow the knee before their Dark Master. Their philosophy is undeniably communist. Communism is Satanism.

The communist cabal set up Russia as an Illuminati base of operations. Again, I have attempted to hammer this point home in my writings. In my first book on communism, A Century of Red, I explained:

World War I created the conditions in which communism could come to power in Russia. It was brought about by the machinations of these secret societies – particularly those in Britain and France. Under the cover of this contrived war, the Bolsheviks, aided by their Masonic brothers in the West, used every evil method to beat down the peoples throughout the [Russian] Empire, and succeeded in creating a springboard from which to launch the final assault against humanity. It must always be remembered that communism was not created in a vacuum. Rather, it was one arm of the occult conspiracy’s overall agenda.

To summarize the significance of communism’s achievements to the conspiracy, I quote the words of researcher Des Griffin who observed:

““It took the communists twenty one years of unrelenting terror to completely subjugate the Russian people, to break their will and to bring them to a state of near mindless conformity. Students of history recognize that what happened in Russia was the fulfillment of the first stage of the Illuminati’s master plan for the total domination of the world.”

From their occupied base in Russia, the international conspirators have spread the Red Plague into every nation on earth, infecting the people, cultural institutions, and governments, and preparing mankind for servitude in their Luciferian world order.”

communism21

This is the awful reality and secret behind communism. In order to properly understand the communist conspiracy, one must realize that communism is Illuminism and Illuminism was created by Satan. Thus, communism is Satanism. It is the wickedest and most threatening of all evil movements on earth today.

As the commissar-author wrote above, communism is sponsored and aided by International Jewry. Winston Churchill, an ardent Zionist himself, admitted as much when he wrote in a 1920 editorial that International Jews were “the mainspring of every subversive movement during the Nineteenth Century.” He also noted:

[A]nd now at last this band of extraordinary personalities from the underworld of the great cities of Europe and America have gripped the Russian people by the hair of their heads and have become practically the undisputed masters of that enormous empire.

There is no need to exaggerate the part played in the creation of Bolshevism and in the actual bringing about of the Russian Revolution, by these international and for the most part atheistical Jews, it is certainly a very great one; it probably outweighs all others . . . Although in all these countries there are many non-Jews every whit as bad as the worst of the Jewish revolutionaries, the part played by the latter in proportion to their numbers in the population is astonishing” (Winston Churchill, “Zionism versus Bolshevism: A Struggle for the Soul of the Jewish People,” Illustrated Sunday Herald, February 8, 1920, 5).

By the 1930s, and under Stalin, a full one-third of Jews in the Soviet Empire worked for the Soviet state. Most commissars were Jews. The brutal GULAG system of prison and work camps were overseen almost exclusively by Jews. Purges of the Christian populations of Russia and Ukraine, and the Muslim populations of Central Asia, were carried out by Stalin’s Jewish henchmen. There is simply no honest and informed individual who can deny the massive role Jews played and continue to play in the communist conspiracy. As Churchill said, the Jewish influence in fanatical communistic globalism “probably outweighs all others.”

Stalin23

The Jew Lazar Kaganovich, Stalin’s brother-in-law, one of his closest henchmen, and one of the most powerful men in Moscow who has been called “the Wolf of the Kremlin,” lauded Stalin in these words:

His most noteworthy and characteristic feature is just this, that during the whole course of his party political activity, he never left Lenin, never vacillated either to the Right or to the “Left,” and firmly and unwaveringly carried out a consistent Bolshevik policy, beginning with extremely illegal work and finishing with the entire period since the workers conquered power.

Comrade Stalin with extreme clearness made incarnate in himself all the chief features of the Bolshevik Party, and as a leader remains faithful to the old Bolshevik traditions, to Bolshevik theory, practice and organisation” (Lazar Kaganovich, “Stalin and the Party,” in The Life of Stalin: A Symposium, 38).

Stalin was chided by many fellow communists for allegedly “departing” from Leninist principles and putting his own cult of personality first. I dispute this notion. The goal of communism is power. Communists seek to dominate the world and to micromanage the lives of humans everywhere. Stalin excelled in doing just this. He routinely appealed to Lenin and quoted him to justify his actions. Lenin, we must recall, was a mass murderer who forcibly overthrew the Russian government, orchestrated famines to soften up the rebellious Russian people, demolished churches, spewed vile hated upon anyone who opposed him, and attended occult rituals on at least a couple of occasions. Stalin was merely a more successful version of Lenin.

Stalin’s cunning was on full display leading up to, and during, the Second World War. The esteemed Ezra Taft Benson once said that “World War II . . . was largely brought on through the world-wide diplomatic conniving of Stalin’s agents” (Ezra Taft Benson, BYU Address, December 13, 1963, in Jerreld L. Newquist, ed., Prophets, Principles and National Survival, 265). Hitler did not start World War II. Germany was thrust into that war just as they had been forced into the First World War. Rather, Stalin and his fellow conspirators in Britain and America started the war.

FDR, a rabid communist in his own right, was the most disastrous president in our nation’s history. It was FDR’s administration that recognized the Soviet state, led by Stalin, as a legitimate nation. Prior to 1933, the Soviet Union was rightly considered a rogue terrorist state run by gangsters and inhuman monsters. FDR changed that. He opened the United States to full-on communist subversion. Stalin’s agents flooded into Washington. FDR’s two closest advisors, Harry Hopkins and Alger Hiss, were later discovered to be Soviet moles (Alger Hiss went on to become the first Secretary-General of the United Nations).

Stalin26

FDR was part of the international cabal to which Stalin also belonged. Accordingly, FDR was so desperate to get the United States into WWII in 1941 in order to save “Uncle Joe” Stalin from the German advance. It was U.S. Lend-Lease that saved the Soviets in 1941. I’ve personally talked to Red Army veterans in Russia who believed that without our aid, they would have lost the war.

As the war progressed and regrettably turned in the Allies’ favor, Stalin and FDR worked together to divide the world. Stalin secured a guarantee from FDR that China would fall to the Soviets, which it did. He got a guarantee that the Soviets would consume Eastern Europe, which they did. And so forth.

When you examine the world after the Second World War, you come to a realization that the only party which really benefited from that conflagration was international communism, in which I include International Jewry. Certainly the United States, while supposedly emerging as the world’s superpower, had compromised itself by rescuing and rearming its mortal enemy and had forfeited its moral high ground by engaging in fiendish butchery in Germany and Japan. Strategically, the Soviets, let by Stalin, emerged from the war with an upper hand.

Stalin was, arguably, the global conspiracy’s greatest all-time tool. By this, I don’t mean to suggest that he was controlled, because I don’t believe he was controlled by anyone except Satan. However, he helped further the conspiracy’s goal of world conquest in a manner that perhaps no other individual has. During his thirty-year reign, Bolshevism spread itself over most of the globe, openly subjugating half the world’s population and planting and carefully cultivating the seeds of subversion throughout in the United States. We are seeing the fruit of those seeds ripening now before our eyes.

The man of steel created much of international communism in his own image. And for his own part, Stalin claimed that he was merely following the doctrine established by Lenin. And Lenin followed Marx. And Marx was hired by the League of the Just, an Illuminati splinter group. And the Illuminati, in 1782, fused together with radical Jews and certain elements of Freemasonry to form the amalgam of evil that menaces the globe today.

Without Stalin’s indomitable leadership which kept the Soviet Union intact as the world’s #1 threat through a world war and the first years of the Cold War, the communist conspiracy wouldn’t have the fraction of the power it has today. Because Stalin demanded such rigid obedience to his dictates from his followers throughout the world, the cabal produced a cadre of revolutionaries that today is either still influential or which trained those who are taking over the various revolutionary movements we see rising.

communism442

Some of Stalin’s “successes” include slaughtering between 40 and 60 million human beings in the Soviet Union, conquering China (in which another 60-100 million were murdered), radicalizing the black community in America, kick-starting of the LGBT movement in the United States, launching of WWII, enslaving Eastern Europe and defeating an anti-communist Germany, and flooding Washington, D.C. and the American intelligence services with Soviet moles. Communizing China was certainly his greatest accomplishment. China is today called Red China and a grave threat precisely because Stalin, with the help of his co-conspirators in Washington, D.C. and the animal savagery of Mao Tse-tung, foisted Marxism upon that hapless country. But it would have scarcely been possible without Stalin’s larger-than-life influence.

On this anniversary of Joseph Stalin’s death, we ought to remember what he did to the world and what the movement that he led is still doing to it. We ought to recall that Stalin was started down the path of darkness by faith-destroying Darwinist theories. We should remember and memorialize the billions of victims of this evil man and his followers and the indescribable suffering they endured for no reason other than that a clique of gangsters decided they should rule over the rest of us. We should keep in mind that Stalin was part of a larger conspiracy, dominated by Satanic Kabbalistic Jews, whose aim is world domination and the establishment of a one-world state as a prelude to a one-world occult religion.

In Russia, some dislike Stalin while others love him. There in fact has been something of a resurgence in Stalin worship in recent years. Though a proposal to erect a mammoth statue of Stalin in Moscow fell through, smaller memorials are being erected. A 2019 article in The Atlantic bearing the title “Is Stalin Making a Comeback in Russia?” contains this passage:

To find Joseph Stalin here in Russia’s third-largest city, drive down the main thoroughfare, Red Аvenue, past Lenin Square. At the Ob River, turn left on Bolshevik Street until you reach a two-story wooden building with traditionally carved window trimmings. . . .

The unveiling of the bust this month in Novosibirsk, which served as a transit point for millions of people sent to gulags or forcibly deported in the Stalin era, has broader echoes across Russia, where supposed grassroots movements to glorify Stalin almost always have the support of authorities. It is part of an effort by the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin to justify his “own authoritarian ruling style,” says Alexander Rudnitsky, the head of the local branch of Memorial, a human-rights organization.

The tactic seems to be working: The statue’s unveiling came not long after a survey by the Levada Center, a reputable polling organization, reported that 70 percent of Russians had a positive appraisal of Stalin’s role in history.”

Stalin, the Man of Steel, is perhaps the cruelest and vilest man to ever live. Yet, the demonic spirit of the movement he led for three decades is stronger than ever and permeates not only Russian society, but Western culture, the entertainment industry, the media, government, economics, and our most precious institutions. If we are to combat this darkness, we must stoke the fires of truth and right. Only light defeats darkness. Light, or truth, can smash to pieces the lies of the Adversary of all mankind. These high priests of evil fear the truth. They fear exposure. They fear what would happen to them if the American People ever woke up and realized that communism is the greatest Satanical threat to their Faith, Families, and Freedom.

communism642

God help us to wake up before it is everlastingly too late! May the Lord bless those of us who are trying so hard to shake our neighbors out of their communist-induced slumber. And may we each stay the course so that it will never be said of Stalin what it is said of Lenin: “Lenin lived, Lenin lives, Lenin will live.” May Stalin’s shockingly malevolent influence die with us so that our children and grandchildren may live in a world free of men like murderous Man of Steel.

Silence is Complicity

The Nineteenth Century British philosopher John Stuart Mill, whose socialist political ideology I generally find abhorrent, proved correct the adage that “even a broken clock is right twice a day” when he stated:

Let not anyone pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject” (John Stuart Mill, Inaugural Address to the University of St. Andrews, February 1, 1867).

silence2

Mill put into words a concept of tremendous relevance to people of all ages; namely, that we have a moral duty to speak out against wrongs regardless of where they are committed, who commits them, or if they impact us directly. To look on as evil is being perpetrated on others is itself evil. Neutrality is a phantom. Indifference is a sin. And silence is complicity.

Each person is born into mortality “with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” There is no right bestowed by nature without a correlating duty or responsibility being likewise conferred. The right of life, for instance, does not grant us the privilege of living selfishly for ourselves alone with zero regard for the well-being of others in the society. We do in fact have duties and obligations towards others.

We are not our brother’s keeper in the sense that it is our job to take care of everyone in socialist cradle-to-grave fashion. No one owes us a living. No one is obligated to subsidize our existence out of their own pocket. We are not entitled to anything at the expense of others. Simply, it is not the state’s job to provide for you, to give you health care, to educate your children, to give you a house, or to provide “free” services that you could otherwise provide for yourself through your individual industry.

However, we all belong to the same human family and we have an obligation to ensure that our brothers and sisters enjoy an equal chance to live and breathe and work out their lives in the pursuit of happiness, greatness, and salvation. We have a duty to see to it that each member of society is treated fairly, that each is protected in their rights, that each receives the dignity due a son or daughter of God, and that each is equal in the eyes of the law.

It is particularly true that we each have a duty to protect not only our own God-given rights, but the natural rights of all other individuals in the community. To sit silently while your neighbor has his rights violated by the government or the collective community is as if you violated them yourself. While I don’t favor so-called Good Samaritan laws which operate on the principle of compulsion, the example of the Savior Jesus Christ’s parable of the Good Samaritan is instructive.

You may recall from your Bible study that the Samaritans were mostly descendants of pagan foreigners deliberately planted in Palestine by the Assyrian conquerors as a way of undermining Israelite societal cohesion and power. Some Samaritans also intermarried with Israelites and worshiped Jehovah, though their claims to religious fellowship were rejected by the supremacist Jews, creating antagonism between the two groups.

Jesus267

Jesus’ parable begins with an important exchange. The Master asked a lawyer what he believed the most important commandment was. The lawyer responded:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself” (Luke 10:27).

The Lord confirmed his response, to which the lawyer asked the follow-up question: “And who is my neighbour”? (Luke 10:29) Jesus answered with a parable about a man traveling along a dangerous road. The man was attacked, robbed, and left on the brink of death. Along came a Jewish priest who saw the man, crossed to the other side of the path, and continued on his way without helping. Yet another Jewish religionist saw the man, ignored him, and passed by on the other side of the road. However, a Samaritan – one of those whom the Jews hated so badly – came across the wounded man and “had compassion on him.” He dressed his wounds and took him to an inn, pledging to pay for whatever care he needed during his recovery (Luke 10:30-35).

When He finished his story, Jesus asked the lawyer which of the three passersby was a true neighbor to the wounded man. The lawyer responded, of course, that the merciful Samaritan, though a hated foreigner and outcast in the Jewish mind, was the real neighbor to the man in need. The Savior said simply, and perhaps with a bit of a rebuke: “Go, and do thou likewise” (Luke 10:37).

Jesus’ words apply to you and to me. Though we are under no legal obligation to give our neighbors charity, we should nonetheless be charitable. What’s more, we are to protect others from abuse when it is within our power and to help them receive justice when they have been wronged. Society at large – and society is comprised of individuals like you – has a responsibility to ensure that the natural rights of each member are secured and that justice is exacted when violations occur. Otherwise, there is no point in joining together in a community.

As implied by the parable given by our Redeemer, Christians ought to be the first people to stand up against injustice, error, and despotism. The oppressed, abused, and violated should be able to rely on the support of their Christian neighbors. The weak and defenseless should likewise be able to count on the unflinching assistance of the true follower of Jesus Christ.

Oftentimes when people think of that humble Man from Nazareth, they think of a weak or compliant Individual who always turned the other cheek and submitted to evil. But how accurate is this image? Does Christ really expect us to submit to injustice? Does He want us to kow-tow to government regardless of whether the actions of that government are immoral? And, perhaps more poignantly, during His mortal life did He behave in the passive manner that some Christians today believe we should exemplify?

Jesus326

In an April 1917 sermon, the Christian leader Charles W. Penrose spoke of the Savior’s personality and His stance on resisting evil. He stated:

True, Jesus Christ taught that non-resistance, was right and praiseworthy and a duty under certain circumstances and conditions; but just look at him when he went into the temple, when he made that scourge of thongs, when he turned out the money-changers and kicked over their tables and told them to get out of the house of the Lord! “My house is a house of prayer,” he said, “but ye have made it a den of thieves.” Get out of here! Hear him crying, “Woe unto you Scribes, Pharisees, hypocrites, ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and then ye make him ten-fold more the child of hell than he was before.” That was the other side of the spirit of Jesus. Jesus was no milksop. He was not to be trampled under foot. He was ready to submit when the time came for his martyrdom, and he was to be nailed on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the world, but he was ready at any time to stand up for his rights like a man. He is not only called “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world,” but also “the Lion of the Tribe of Judah,” and He will be seen to be terrible by and by to his enemies.

Now while we are not particularly required to pattern after the “lion” side of his character unless it becomes necessary, the Lord does not expect us to submit to be trodden under foot by our enemies and never resist. The Lord does not want us to inculcate the spirit of war nor the spirit of bloodshed. In fact he has commanded us not to shed blood, but there are times and seasons, as we can find in the history of the world, in Bible and the Book of Mormon, when it is justified and right and proper and the duty of men to go forth in the defense of their homes and their families and maintain their privileges and rights by force of arms. . . .

. . . Does the Lord permit the shedding of blood and justify it? Yes, sometimes he does. Was not the war of independence of this country justifiable? Were not the rights and privileges of the people of this land trampled under foot, and did they not rise in their might and the God of Battles strengthen their arms and they went forth to victory and brought liberty, not only to themselves and their immediate families, but to hosts of people from down-trodden Europe who are rejoicing today under the Stars and Stripes with liberty of conscience and liberty of speech and liberty of action within proper guidance and direction of righteous law. These principles are to go forth to all flesh. Don’t you forget it. The time will come when they will be carried to all the nations of the earth and they will be delivered from tyrants and oppressors” (President Charles W. Penrose, Conference Report, April, 1917, 19-20).

I love the line “Jesus was no milksop.” Google defines a “milksop” as “a person who is indecisive and lacks courage.” Synonyms include “coward,” “snowflake,” “pansy,” “wimp,” and “weakling.” No, Jesus was no coward. He was not a weakling. He was certainly not politically correct or in need of “safe spaces” like today’s “snowflakes.”

Rather, Jesus was full of passion. After He cleansed the temple the first time, John recorded: “And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up” (John 2:17). Jesus was a zealot for righteousness. No one has ever made a firmer stand for truth, justice, and goodness. Our Lord was strong and resolute and fearless in the face of maniacal mobs, the machinations of government leaders, and centuries of stubborn precedent. He brimmed with courage, honor, virtue, leadership, and decisiveness. He was a true man in every good sense of the word.

Jesus307

We are meant to pattern our life after our Savior. He stood unshakable before vicious detractors and in spite of constant persecution. His principles were constant and immovable. He immediately helped those in need, deliberately violating commonly accepted, albeit utterly incorrect, religious traditions in the process. He bodily hurled the money-changers from the temple more than once. He was a Man of action, a Man of passion, and a Man of perfect honor. If we are to to be like Christ, we must be the same type of individuals.

When we see our fellow men groaning under oppression, what is our reaction? Are we pained? Are we indifferent? Do we yearn to help? Do we sit by and ignore the situation? Our reaction to injustice, atrocities, and evil tells a lot about us. And again I repeat: Silence is complicity.

The fiery freeman Thomas Paine explained that part of our duty as patriots is to defend others, even those we dislike, when we see them suffer injustices and abuse:

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself” (Thomas Paine, Dissertation on First-Principles of Government, 32).

If we do not stand up and challenge wrongs at least verbally when they happen, we enable future wrongs and embolden perpetrators. Those same wrongs may one day knock on our door. And if we have not stood in defense of others and done our utmost to defend them and redress the violations of their Liberty, can we honestly expect them to stand up for us when are on the receiving end of tyranny’s kiss?

For instance, if we, as a society, sit idly by as one segment of the populations butchers babies and murders the unborn, how can we expect others to rush to our aid when we are threatened? Babies are the most defenseless, helpless, and innocent among us. If we can permit them to be slaughtered to the ungodly tune of 70-90 million in the past five decades, we don’t have a prayer of justice prevailing in our land. Infanticide – the negation and violation of the fundamental right of life – is simply unconscionable and incompatible with a moral people and a civil, ordered society.

Yes, even our enemies deserve to have their rights secured and safeguarded. If we do not allow them to speak (excepting those like avowed communists who breathe out threatenings against our Faith, Families, and Freedom and who intend to enslave us under a global dictatorship, thereby forfeiting their rights), we should not expect to be allowed to speak either. Criminals also deserve to be treated with dignity and due process, even though our sense of humanity cannot overrule our sense of justice. If we turn a blind eye and deaf ear to human suffering, how can we escape such suffering ourselves? Eventually, that which we allow to happen to others will happen to us.

In 2019, one of my favorite guitarists and musicians, Daron Malakian, released a characteristically quirky song for his band Scars on Broadway titled “Angry Guru.” The catchphrase of the track states: “Silence leads to violence.” This is an accurate statement. The silence of good people emboldens criminals, thugs, liars, bullies, and tyrants. Silence leads to deception, coercion, and even genocide. Silence encourages inaction, thereby allowed committed enemies of humanity to do their work with little opposition.

In order for evil to gain a foothold in a society, it requires the silence of the majority. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, the famed Russian writer who spent time as a slave in Stalin’s GULAG, later recalled that if the Russian people would have dared to speak out and take a stand against the Bolshevik occupiers, communism could have never conquered and maintained control in Russia. With remorse, he wrote:

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. And you could be sure ahead of time that you’d be cracking the skull of a cutthroat. Or what about the Black Maria sitting out there on the street with one lonely chauffeur – what if it had been driven off or its tires spiked? The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

If . . . if . . . We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation. We spent ourselves in one unrestrained outburst in 1917, and then we hurried to submit. We submitted with pleasure! . . . We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward” (Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago, Vol. 1, 13).

The Russian people were the victims of an invasion by a foreign clique of anti-Christ gangsters. These predominately Jewish thugs brutalized their way to power, plundering, torturing, enslaving, raping, and murdering everyone in their way. The only real opposition to their Satanic schemes came in the Russian Civil War that began with the communist coup d’etat in 1917. As soon as the Bolsheviks began to gain ground, the Russian people “hurried to submit” to their iron-fisted rule as they had done under the tsars for centuries. If more than a handful of Russians had spoken out and stood up in defense of their rights, they could have rebuffed and driven out the communist cabal. Tragically, their slavish conditioning was too great and the communists prevailed.

Solzhenitsyn said that the Russian people deserved what they got because of their inaction and silence. Does a silent, and, therefore complicit, nation really deserve the horrors of tyranny? Perhaps so. Alexander Hamilton similarly stated:

Moderation in every nation is a virtue. In weak or young nations, it is often wise to take every chance by patience and address to divert hostility and in this view to hold parley with insult and injury—but to capitulate with oppression, rather to surrender at discretion to it is in any nation that has any power of resistance as foolish as it contemptible. The honor of a nation is its life. Deliberately to abandon it is to commit an act of political suicide . . . The Nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a Master and deserves one” (Alexander Hamilton, Philadelphia Daily Advertiser, February 21, 1797).

A nation not prepared for just war and whose citizens are not prepared to put their own lives on the line to defend their Faith, Families, and Freedom, cannot possibly maintain their civilization. A people so cowed and cowardly that they will sheepishly endure abuses is a people without honor. It is tantamount to national suicide to silently witness evil. Silence is in actual fact complicity.

I now share a poignant warning from the great Ezra Taft Benson. His words were spoken in 1968, but they’re even more applicable now. He proclaimed:

Great nations are never conquered from outside unless they are rotten inside. Our greatest national problem today is erosion, not the erosion of the soil, but erosion of the national morality – erosion of traditional enforcement of law and order. . . .

Those of us conscious of the seriousness of the situation must act, and act now. It has been said that it takes something spectacular to get folks excited, like a burning house. Nobody notices one that is simply decaying. But in America today we not only have decaying but burning before our very eyes. How much we need hearts today who will respond to the inspiring words of the poet, John Greenleaf Whittier:

““Where’s the manly spirit

Of the true-hearted and the unshackled gone?

Sons of old freemen, do we inherit their name alone?

Is the old Pilgrim spirit quenched within us?

Stoops the proud manhood of our souls so low,

That Mammon’s lure or Party’s wile can win us to silence now?

Now, when our land to ruin’s brink is verging,

In God’s name let us speak while there is time;

Now, when the padlocks for our lips are forging,

Silence is crime”” (President Ezra Taft Benson, “Americans Are Destroying America,” General Conference, April, 1968).

What kind of individuals will we be? What kind of society do we want to live in? Do we prefer to live in a spineless nation of people who turn a blind eye to suffering and injustice or do we want to live in a society of stalwart patriots who rush to our aid at the first sign of oppression, harassment, or abuse? Will we be full of valor, virtue, honor, and manliness? Or will we shrink from the fight, stop our ears, cross to the other side of the road, and ignore the plight of our countrymen? The choice is ours, but we already know the outcome if we choose to remain silent like sheep.

We ought to be men and women in the mold of our Master, Jesus Christ. We should help others, show compassion, advocate truth, denounce error, dare to rebuff false teachers and tyrants, and cast the money-changers – both figurative and literal – from our hearts, communities, and nations. In this age of rising oppression, our voices should be raised loud and strong against wickedness and evil.

We can never be guilty of silence in the face of advancing evil – the stakes are too high. If we are silent, we are complicit. If we close our mouths when others need an advocate, our cries will be met with deafening silence when the jackboot of tyranny forces them from our lips. We cannot afford to be silent. We must speak. We must fight. We must win this war. Failure is not an option. Inaction is unacceptable. And silence is complicity. Be silent no more.
