Traitors Everywhere

Society is full of traitors. The Republicans are traitors. The Democrats are traitors. Behind every bush there’s a turncoat or sniveling coward prepared to sell out his country for fame, fear, or funds. Today, I focus on the Republican scoundrels who infest the halls of government. 

In my first article of 2023, tiled “You Can’t Trust Anyone, Except. . .”, I railed against politicians on both pretend sides of the uniparty political Establishment. I said: 

“In politics, you can’t trust anyone. Survey the political landscape as 2022 fades into the past and who do you see that stands out as a beacon of truth, light, and trustworthiness? Who is a true leader? President Trump? President Bolsonaro? Zionist Netanyahu? Tsar Putin? Emperor Xi? Befuddled Biden? Governor DeSantis? Senator Rand Paul? 

“There’s not a single man in politics in any nation whom I trust implicitly. There’s no George Washington, John Adams, or Thomas Jefferson to lead from the front with honor; no man that everyone looks up to and can trust. The dearth of real leaders, manly men, and steeled patriots is deafening and is one of the chief reasons we are plunging into the abyss of corruption and chaos. . . . 

“I don’t know how many times I’ve heard people gush that President Trump was the greatest president ever. Ever? Better than George Washington? Better than John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison? Better than Andrew Jackson? None of those great men retreated from danger or fled when things got rough. They risked their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to literally fight the enemy and rebel against tyranny. Not Trump, Bolsonaro, or anyone else I’ve seen on the national level has the conviction, inner fire, and integrity to do say, “Give me liberty or give me death!” and really mean it. At least, they haven’t proven their words by deeds.  

“It’s up to us to lead ourselves and keep the Revolution going, not to wait for a mortal savior. No white knight on his noble steed is coming to rescue us. There is no George Washington this time; he already showed us the way to go. Our self-appointed “heroes” have failed us. We must each take up the mantle of leadership and do our part. We must make the same covenant that our forefathers made; namely, to “mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor” with a “firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence.”” 

My words have been confirmed. With pressure from the politically ignorant and petulantly stubborn Donald Trump who has a history of supporting and surrounding himself with Establishment cronies who undermine him at every turn, Matt Gaetz and the other turncoat Republicans relinquished their opposition to Establishment shill Kevin McCarthy, who will now be the new Speaker of the House. J.D. Rucker reported: 

“14 failures will taint Kevin McCarthy’s reign as Speaker of the House. . . . 

“Nevertheless, he was finally voted in as Speaker after enough of the final holdouts voted “present.” Matt Gaetz had upended the 14th vote that was supposed to be McCarthy’s anointing, but caved for the 15th. 

“It even looked like it might turn violent when Congressman Mike Rogers had to be restrained as he headed toward Gaetz after the 14th failure. 

“After Andy Biggs and Lauren Boebert both voted “present,” it turned to Gaetz as the next holdout. He voted “present” again, which pretty much sealed the deal for McCarthy. The remain three members of the final six opposition Republicans all voted present. That left McCarthy with 216 votes. With the six votes of “present” and one member not voting, McCarthy needed 215.” 

All that was required to prevent McCarthy from taking the gavel was for one person to say, “no.” Instead, these ostensibly stalwart “conservatives” voted “present,” allowing the one they have said would be a disaster for the country to take over. Despicable. Cowardly. Treasonous. 

Yes, I call out Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, Andy Biggs, Eli Crane, Bob Good, and Matt Rosendale for voting “present,” allowing this loss for the Republic and for the American People. I also call out the following so-called “conservatives” who flipped their vote to support McCarthy at the last moment: Dan Bishop, Josh Brecheen, Michael Cloud, Andrew Clyde, Byron Donalds, Paul Gosar, Andy Harris, Anna Paulina Luna, Mary Miller, Ralph Norman, Andy Ogles, Scott Perry, Chip Roy, Keith Self, and Victoria Spartz. I include Marjorie Taylor Greene – a rising star in the party – for publicly condemning the holdouts and calling their opposition to McCarthy “drama” that must end. She also voted for McCarthy and pantingly tried, by means of pro-McCarthy Donald Trump, to convince other holdouts to cave to the Establishment. 

Every damn one of them is a traitor and a disgrace to the nation. Not one of them can ever be trusted again to keep their word. Most Republicans are worthless, and you can’t expect much from them, but these are big names in the so-called “conservative” faction. Conservative? Hardly! They’re Establishment sellouts like the rest of them. They’ve proven this by actions – by their fruits ye shall know them. 

These lying turncoats will likely claim they put up a good fight and did their best to stop McCarthy. Bull. They didn’t have the fortitude or honesty to honor their word and hold out. They gave up. They surrendered. They mock thee other more obviously Establishment Republicans as the “surrender caucus,” but they have now joined its ranks. Traitors, every last one of them. 

Here’s how America’s enemies have framed the Republicans permitting McCarthy to take the reins. Russian state media RT reported

“While McCarthy lost out on the 14th vote on Friday night and the House appeared to be headed into the weekend without a speaker, Republicans pressed for yet another ballot in a last-minute decision. After gaining the support of more than a dozen fellow GOP members who had voted for other candidates, the California lawmaker finally secured a majority vote in the early hours of Saturday morning. 

“Representative Matt Gaetz of Florida was the sole GOP member standing in McCarthy’s way before the final vote, leading a group of 20 insurgent Republicans under the pro-Trump Freedom Caucus during this week’s speaker votes. The lawmakers argued that McCarthy is too willing to capitulate to Democrats and represents years of bad policy-making, obstructing him from taking the speaker position for four days of balloting.” 

Even though Gaetz, Greene, Boebert, and the others caved to the Establishment and gave a hearty vote for the swamp, RT still calls them “insurgent.” This is how the enemy sees people who resist their monoparty Establishment. Today, the Gaetzes of the world have proved which side they’re on – and, mark it fellow American, it’s not on our side. 

Chinese communist state media also had this to say about those holdouts who eventually showed their true colors: 

“[T]hose American politicians with extreme political stance are becoming increasingly willing to hijack the interests of the whole party and are able to force the majority or the pro-establishment elites to compromise on almost any issue. 

“This will create more uncertainty in Washington into the future, because there is no strong and reliable political leader, neither US President Joe Biden nor former president Donald Trump or new Speaker McCarthy are able to completely unite their own party or to speak with one voice. In the future, the US internal governance will still be a mess and fail to effectively solve economic and social problems, and its foreign policy may swerve into more chaotic and dangerous areas, experts claimed.” 

Republicans and Democrats do NOT have such virtue.

For once, I agree – no single person in the United States can unite us. There’s no George Washington. Donald Trump is perhaps the closest thing to a unifying force, yet he is a political buffoon who doesn’t comprehend conspiracy or the real threats to the Republic. Trump has shown that he is as clueless in 2023 as he’s ever been about politics. Had he any sense, he would’ve opposed McCarthy and joined the ranks of those the communist Chinese call “extreme.” Instead, Trump remained milk toast, weak, and unwilling to do what must be done – just like he was in 2020 when the nation was being burned down by Marxist thugs and he did nothing but talk about it. 

With Trump’s vocal opposition, McCarthy would not be Speaker of the House today. As it is, the California “Republican” is now third in line for the presidency. With a doddering Biden on the verge of death, and an ineffective vice-president that not even Democrats want as president, a “President McCarthy” is a high possibility. 

In his smug and condescending victory speech, McCarthy invoked Abraham Lincoln. This is an interesting choice since it was Lincoln who finally split the United States in two, unconstitutionally ordered up troops and invaded a sovereign nation, who massively expanded government, and who mangled the U.S. Constitution. I hope to God McCarthy become Lincoln 2.0, though I see America heading into all-out revolution and mobocracy. 

How can we not turn to mobocracy and chaos? Our government is a mob! This was prophesied by an American prophet long ago. Brigham Young, quoting the Prophet Joseph Smith, attested the following in 1861 as Lincoln, whom he called a “cursed scoundrel,” took power and precipitated the total fracture of the Union: 

“The whole government is gone; it is as weak as water. I heard Joseph Smith say nearly thirty years ago, “They shall have mobbings to their hearts’ content, if they do not redress the wrongs of the Latter-day Saints.” Mobs will not decrease but will increase until the whole government becomes a mob, and eventually it will be State against State, city against city, neighborhood against neighborhood” (Brigham Young, May 1, 1861). 

Joseph Smith, who lived in Lincoln’s state at a time when Lincoln was in power, had attempted to redress the wrongs committed against members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which he founded through God’s power, to no avail. Lincoln did nothing. The president of the United States, Martin Van Buren, did nothing. No one did anything. In response, the Prophet foretold what the Lord would do: 

“While discussing the petition to Congress, I prophesied, by virtue of the holy Priesthood vested in me, and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that, if Congress will not hear our petition and grant us protection, they shall be broken up as a government, and God shall damn them, and there shall be nothing left of them — not even a grease spot” (Joseph Smith, Millennial Star, Vol. 22, 455).

If Joseph Smith was a Prophet, and I testify with all my soul that he is and that he was called of God, then the U.S. government is damned to all eternity. God will break them up. They will become a mob. They will devolve into disorder and destruction. We already see it happening. It happened once when the unpopular persecutor Abraham Lincoln took the presidency, and it will happen again. 

No one will stop what’s coming. There is no George Washington today to stand in the gap and hold back the tide. Trump is weak and panders to the Establishment he outwardly hates. Ron DeSantis, who has done many good things as governor, is sold to certain interests and philosophies that are anathema to true Americanism and has been involved in mandating the teaching of fake history in public schools. Even Senator Rand Paul is, sadly, unlike his father, who was known as “Dr. No” for his penchant to vote “No” on everything. What we need today is precisely that – a man to say “No” and mean it. Not to say “No” fourteen times and then bow to evil on the fifteenth round. Is that what George Washington would’ve done? Of course not! 

We are not like our forefathers. For all their flaws, they were upright and decent folks. They loved their country and their Freedom. They were willing to place their lives on the line to defend their rights. They were willing to shoot their British oppressors (i.e. their own military and government officers). They were also humble enough to petition God for His intervention and divine assistance. 

It was their general righteousness that pulled God’s blessings down in their behalf. Through His divine intervention, America became a free and independent nation. Through His inspiration, the Constitution was born. Through His instrumentality, America was prepared to receive the Restoration of His Gospel and the flood of light, technological advancements, and progress that accompanied it. 

Today, our only remedy is repentance. Politics won’t solve our problems. Trump won’t ride in and save us – he’s oblivious to who the enemies are. No political savior is coming to our rescue. As I wrote before the last rigged election, the madness won’t end. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can intervene to stave off total war and obliteration. 

At this point, however, I think that even He can’t save us at least some profusion of blood and suffering, because we have sinned so much and continue to allow a great Satanic conspiracy to rule over us. We permit fraudulent elections to go unpunished and unanswered. We allow our so-called champion to support the swamp he supposedly wanted to drain. We allow our representatives to fail to represent We the People time and time and time again. We allow oath breakers and liars – the Marjorie Taylor Greenes and Matt Gaetzes of the world – to support us with their words while betraying us with their actions. Because we allow all of this to happen, the fault is, ultimately, our own. And we will reap the whirlwind. 

I don’t support the Republican-Democrat Establishment. It is a vile and tyrannical cabal beholden to even more wicked and devious international interests and ideologies. It’s a den of vipers. It’s home to the children of hell. Today, as most of the leading lights in the “conservative” movement betrayed the American People and took a deep dive into the swamp to elevate McCarthy to higher power, I’m reminded of how intensely I loathe traitors and turncoats. To me, there’s only one rightful response to traitors: Sic Semper Tyrannis! 

It’s long past time for Lexington and Concord 2.0. Patriots, it’s long past time to rebel! “Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God.” That was our forefathers’ motto, and it must be ours. Rebellion to tyrants is the American tradition. Are we true Americans or are we pathetic and servile sheep who follow the ravenous wolves to the slaughter? You decide for yourself; it’s clear enough where I stand. 

“The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. Tyranny Defined 

Today’s article title is a play on Ron Paul’s book Liberty Defined. Instead of lengthy prose, however, I want to literally look at dictionary definitions. As you read through these definitions, please ponder our current circumstances and consider whether what we’re living through fits the definition of tyranny. 

Webster’s 1828 dictionary describes “tyranny” as: 

“Arbitrary or despotic exercise of power; the exercise of power over subjects and others with a rigor not authorized by law or justice, or not requisite for the purposes of government. Hence tyranny is often synonymous with cruelty and oppression.” 

Knowing that the U.S. Constitution is the “supreme law of the land,” reflect on the idea that tyranny is something “not authorized by law or justice, or not requisite for the purposes of government.” Does the Constitution authorize government to force people to inject substances into their bodies or cover their faces with porous fabric? Does it allow government to close your store or your church? Click this link and read for yourself what the Constitution says and authorizes and what government can and can’t do

Webster’s 1828 also defined “despotism” as: 

“Absolute power; authority unlimited and uncontrolled by men, constitution or laws, and depending alone on the will of the prince; as the despotism of a Turkish sultan.” 

If government doesn’t follow the Constitution and acts in an unaccountable and uncontrolled way, is it, by definition, “despotism”? Answer for yourself. 

“Autocrasy” is defined as

“Independent power; supreme, uncontrolled, unlimited authority or right of governing, in a single person.” 

The same question as before. 

Webster’s defined “oppression” as: 

“The act of oppressing; the imposition of unreasonable burdens, either in taxes or services; cruelty; severity. The state of being oppressed or overburdened; misery.” 

Have you been overburdened by government dictates and requirements any time recently? 

The same trusty dictionary describes “dictator” thus

“One who dictates; one who prescribes rules and maxims for the direction of others. One invested with absolute authority.” 

Sound like any dementia-ridden phony president you know? 

“Monarchy” is defined by Webster’s as: 

“A state or government in which the supreme power is lodged in the hands of a single person. Such a state is usually called an empire or a kingdom; and we usually give this denomination to a large state only. But the same name is sometimes given to a kingdom or state in which the power of the king or supreme magistrate is limited by a constitution, or by fundamental laws. Such is the British monarchy Hence we speak of absolute or despotic monarchies, and of limited monarchies.” 

Is the dictator in D.C. also a king or monarch? He must be if he has supreme power over your body and mind, over your job and mobility, over your Freedom of speech and Freedom of worship. Perhaps we should only call it a “limited monarchy” since at some of us still love, cherish, and defend our God-inspired Constitution

Not ready to call the dictatorial tyrants “kings”? Then consider the word “arbitrary” in relation to the power being currently wielded: 

“Depending on will or discretion; not governed by any fixed rules; as, an arbitrary decision; an arbitrary punishment. Despotic; absolute in power; having no external control; as, an arbitrary prince or government.” 

Arbitrary rule is opposite the rule of law and is, by definition, “despotic.” Prove me wrong. 

Webster’s defines “corruption” in many ways, including, simply, “bribery.” Tell me, what did you buy with your COVID-1984 stimulus check? 

The term “injustice” is defined simply as: “Iniquity; wrong; any violation of another’s rights.” 

Are we, therefore, victims of injustice? Are our rights being violated? 

“Atrocity” is described thus: “Enormous wickedness; extreme hainousness or cruelty; as the atrocity of murder.” 

Any government-mandated murders happen lately? If so, do you dare call it an “atrocity” or do you shy away from using authentic dictionary definitions of words? 

We learn from Webster’s that “bigotry” is: 

“Obstinate or blind attachment to a particular creed, or to certain tenets; unreasonable zeal or warmth in favor of a party, sect or opinion; excessive prejudice.” 

If this isn’t a perfect description of the pro-vaxxers, pro-maskers, and pro-lockdown shills, I don’t know what is! Those of us who love bodily autonomy, love oxygen, and love Liberty are victims of mass bigotry.

“Bully” is defined as: “To insult and overbear with noise and blustering menaces.” 

If this is true, then is the controlled media bullying us? Are we being bullied with overbearing noise? Are we being bullied by the press into servile submission? 

We’re told that “submission” means

“Acknowledgment of inferiority or dependence; humble or suppliant behavior. . . . Obedience; compliance with the commands or laws of a superior. submission of children to their parents is an indispensable duty.” 

Are you inferior to the government? Is the government your papa that can punish you if you don’t comply and obey? If government has authority over you, as a parent does over his child, then perhaps you’re living in statist submission. 

Webster’s tells us that “subjugation” is: “The act of subduing and bringing under the power or absolute control of another.” 

Are we being subjugated? Well, what does the definition tell you? 

Finally, the provocative word “slavery” is powerfully described as: 

“Bondage; the state of entire subjection of one person to the will of another. slavery is the obligation to labor for the benefit of the master, without the contract of consent of the servant. slavery may proceed from crimes, from captivity or from debt. slavery is also voluntary or involuntary; voluntary, when a person sells or yields his own person to the absolute command of another; involuntary, when he is placed under the absolute power of another without his own consent.” 

Read that again. Slavery is “when a person . . . yields his own person to the absolute command of another” or when he involuntarily is “placed under the absolute power of another without his own consent.” Is this not a perfect description of vaccine mandates, mask mandates, forced business closures, travel restrictions, and lockdowns? 

If you agree with plain English and acknowledge the definition of “slavery,” then I have some other questions: Does this definition mean we are living under slavery? Are we slaves? Have we abdicated our Freedom? If Webster’s dictionary is correct, then our government overlords certainly act as if we are their slaves, regardless of what you personally think. 

We often lose touch with our language, thus losing touch with the foundational ideas expressed in that language. We allow others to dictate what we think by stunting our vocabulary, neglecting to use certain basic words like “tyranny,” or muddling definitions. Don’t let your mind be shackled by allowing your language to be hijacked. Use the words in the dictionary. Know what tyranny, despotism, and slavery are. Know what dictators, autocrats, and bullies look like. Open your eyes and recognize these things all around you. Then open your voice, use your language, and warn others of the peril. Sic Semper Tyrannis! Long Live Liberty!

State Flags and American Values

All Americans recognize the U.S. flag. We all know the stars and stripes when we see them. However, many Americans may not be able to identify individual state flags. There are are fifty state flags and many of them give us a hint about what we as Americans cherish and stand for. This article will give an overview of what some of our state flags reveal about the values Americans have traditionally held dear.

The Pennsylvania flag is one of the most interesting. The state coat of arms was designed in 1777 and used on the militia flag of 1799. In 1907, the current flag, bearing the coast of arms, was finally adopted. The image shows a plow, wheat stalks, and a ship, surrounded by corn stalks and olive branches, with two horses on the sides and a bald eagle on top. The words “Virtue, Liberty, and Independence” show at the bottom. The various symbols represent the industry of Pennsylvanians, the prosperity and abundance of the state, and the loyalty of the state’s citizens to the Union.

The three words on the flag of course have the most overt message. Let’s discuss the word “virtue.” When you examine letters, documents, speeches, and sermons from the founding era, you find mention of the word “virtue” everywhere. Pennsylvania’s own Benjamin Franklin once wrote:

I understand it to be the Will of God, that we should live virtuous, upright, and good-doing Lives. . . .

. . . Faith is recommended as a Means of producing Morality: Our Saviour was a Teacher of Morality or Virtue. . . .

. . . Peace, Unity and Virtue in any Church are more to be regarded than Orthodoxy . . . Morality or Virtue is the End, Faith only a Means to obtain that End No point of Faith is so plain, as that Morality is our Duty; for all Sides agree in that. A virtuous Heretick shall be saved before a wicked Christian” (Benjamin Franklin, “Dialogue Between Two Presbyterians,” April 10, 1735).

Even those not considered particularly religious were expected, by society, to be virtuous. Being virtuous was held in high regard by the ancient Romans and early Americans believed it was paramount for their fledgling Republic. Virtue was considered a part of citizenship. President George Washington explained:

Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. . . .

It is substantially true that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government” (George Washington, Farewell Address, 1796).

Virtue was seen as the embodiment of manliness, loyalty, morality, character, sturdiness in principle, the Christian faith, and so on. Without virtue, there could be no civil society and no Liberty. It was the “spring” from whence came our government. John Adams said it this way:

Statesmen my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for Liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand. . . . The only foundation of a free Constitution, is pure Virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our People, in a greater Measure, than they have it now, They may change their Rulers, and the forms of Government, but they will not obtain a lasting Liberty.—They will only exchange Tyrants and Tyrannies” (John Adams to Zabdiel Adams, June 21, 1776).

Virtue, then, was considered the keystone of Americanism and a prerequisite of true patriotism. It was essential to the other two words on Pennsylvania’s flag – Liberty and Independence. Pennsylvania is not the only state, however, with such slogans proudly emblazoned on its flag.

Iowa’s flag proclaims: “Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain.” The words are written on a banner being carried in the beak of a flying eagle. Simple, yet powerful. The design is compelling and the expression is true. It’s sad to watch the ongoing Democratic Party caucus catastrophe making a mockery of that state and of its election process. It is equally sad to see that radicals like the homosexual socialist Pete Buttigieg, the Jewish-Marxist Bernie Sanders, and the fake Indian Elizabeth Warren leading the Democratic wolf pack in the state. Yet, if the people of Iowa ever need inspiration to guide their choices in the future, they need only look at their flag and take its words to heart. Valuing our God-given rights and maintaining them through selfless sacrifice has always been the duty of an American freeman.

Georgia’s great flag has several important messages. Set in a pattern unmistakably similar to Old Glory, the flag bears the words “Constitution,” “Wisdom,” “Justice,” “Moderation,” and “In God We Trust.” The words are part of our surrounding an arch on top of pillars. A soldier in a Revolutionary War uniform stands holding a sword, ready to defend the Constitution.

Though not always the design of the state flag, the current image tells us a lot. The flag points our minds to those things which are most important: God, the Constitution, and values like justice and wisdom. Abraham Baldwin, one of Georgia’s signers of the U.S. Constitution, had a major hand in creating the University of Georgia. In the university’s 1785 charter, we find these wise recommendations:

As it is the distinguishing happiness of free governments that civil Order should be the Result of choice and not necessity, and the common wishes of the People become the Laws of the Land, their public prosperity and even existence very much depends upon suitably forming the minds and morals of their Citizens. When the Minds of people in general are viciously disposed and unprincipled and their Conduct disorderly, a free government will be attended with greater Confusions and with Evils more horrid than the wild, uncultivated State of Nature. It can only be happy where the public principles and Opinions are properly directed and their Manners regulated. This is an influence beyond the Stretch of Laws and punishments and can be claimed only by Religion and Education. It should therefore be among the first objects of those who wish well to the national prosperity to encourage and support the principles of Religion and morality, and early to place the youth under the forming hand of Society that by instruction they may be moulded to the love of Virtue and good Order.”

You will notice the similarity in sentiment in these ideas and those of John Adams and George Washington. Everyone in our founding era knew that Freedom – even that protected by a written constitution as marvelous of our own – cannot remain and will profit little if the People are not virtuous. If our manners are not regulated by bringing them into harmony with the principles of religion and morality, and if we are not “moulded to the love of Virtue and good Order,” our Liberty will turn to licentiousness and our Republic will crumble. Georgia’s flag reminds us that we must trust in God and embrace just principles in order to maintain our Constitution.

Rhode Island, one of the original thirteen states, has a simple flag with another great message: Hope. The flag depicts a golden anchor above the word “Hope” surrounded by thirteen golden stars. Several sources attribute the impetus for using the word to the Apostle Paul who said that hope is “an anchor of the soul” (Hebrews 6:19). Specifically, our hope was to rest in Jesus Christ and His promise of eternal life to the faithful. Rhode Island’s flag, therefore, is another reminder that our forefathers looked to Christ and relied upon the “protection of divine Providence” in their endeavors.

Finally, I discuss what is likely my favorite state flag – the flag of Virginia. Certainly this flag is the most evocative of them all. The flag has gone through some superficial alterations, but has remained substantively the same. Virginia’s seal, which shows on her flag, was designed by a committee of four patriots in 1776: George Wythe, George Mason, Richard Henry Lee, and Robert Carter Nicholas Sr. George Wythe, the personal tutor of Thomas Jefferson, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and a temporary delegate to the Constitutional Convention, was the primary creator of the seal.

The seal depicts the Roman goddess Virtus, or Virtue, standing triumphantly over the slain body of a despotic king. Virtus holds both a spear and a sword whereas the fallen king’s whip and chain, symbols of his oppressive rule, lay impotently on the ground along with his crown. The Latin phrase Sic Semper Tyrannis, “thus always to tyrants,” or, more popularly, “death to tyrants,” features prominently on the image.

Virginia’s flag sums up the core American values of resistance to tyrants and obedience to God. Americans once believed that when the laws of despotic rulers contradict those of Almighty God, they had a sacred duty to resist and depose the despots and honor God instead. They certainly did not believe the mistaken doctrine that individuals owe blind obedience to their government no matter what. Instead, they knew that freemen only owe obedience to just laws – laws that safeguard their rights. Benjamin Franklin’s proposed motto for the nation summed up our forefathers’ attitude: “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.”

John Adams reiterated the right of the American People – or any people – to kill a tyrant. He wrote:

The right of a nation to kill a tyrant, in cases of necessity, can no more be doubted, than that to hang a robber, or kill a flea. But killing one tyrant only makes way for a worse, unless the people have sense, spirit, and honesty enough to establish and support a constitution guarded at all points against tyranny; against the tyranny of the one, the few, and the many. Let it be the study, therefore, of lawgivers and philosophers, to enlighten the people’s understandings and improve their morals, by good and general education; to enable them to comprehend the scheme of government, and to know upon what points their liberties depend; to dissipate those vulgar prejudices and popular superstitions that oppose themselves to good government; and to teach them that obedience to the laws is as indispensable in them as in lords and kings” (John Adams, “Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America,” 1787).

It is further significant that Virginia’s bold flag was adopted in 1861 when Virginia succeeded from the Union after Abraham Lincoln arbitrarily and unconstitutionally raised an army to attack South Carolina. Virginians in 1861 knew that Abraham Lincoln was a tyrant who treated the Constitution like toilet paper. It was with Lincoln’s despotism in mind that they adopted the state seal with the iconic words Sic Semper Tyrannis as the official flag of the Old Dominion. It was this very phrase, death to tyrants, that John Wilkes Booth yelled when he shot President Lincoln in Ford’s Theater four years later.

Sic Semper Tyrannis is a phrase that all Americans should keep on the tip of their tongues. The great Thomas Jefferson proclaimed:

God forbid we should ever be 20. years without such a rebellion . . . What country ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants” (Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, November 13, 1787).

Not only do Virginia’s tyrannical Democrat leaders who are assaulting the 2nd Amendment need to be warned and rebuked, but all American representatives who are threatening the God-given, Constitution-protected rights of Americans need to be warned and threatened. They need to know that “death to tyrants” isn’t an archaic notion, but an eternal American verity.

Many of America’s state flags are interesting and many are striking. However, it is the message they convey that matters. And, taken as a whole, they remind us of those things that made America great in the first place: Reliance upon God; hope centered in Jesus Christ; love of Liberty; ordered Freedom protected by the Constitution; and our People’s virtue. These are the things that really matter. They are the heart of what it means to be an American.

In this time of deep division and cultural crisis, we need to look to the past. The slogans of our noble past, those wise mottoes which fly overhead every day, point the way to the future. If we truly want to make America great again, we must recover and act upon the core values that made us great in the first place.

We have some very hard questions to ask ourselves as Americans. For starters, we can decide the following: Are we freemen who believe in Liberty and Independence or servile serfs who kow-tow to our own government representatives? Are we Americans whose hope centers in Christ or are we like godless socialists who put their trust in the state? Are we real Christians like our forefathers or will we reject our authentic heritage in favor anti-Christ systems of belief?

Fellow American, look to our state and national mottoes for guidance. Make “In God We Trust” a part of your everyday life. Uphold the principles of Liberty. And stand firm in defense of your rights with “Sic Semper Tyrannis” on your lips. God help us to restore our Republic!

Virginia Showdown

The eyes of the nation are fixed on Virginia. The newly-elected Democrats have been busy trying to ram tyrannical gun control down Virginians’ throats. Governor Ralph Northam is fully on board with their efforts and has disgraced the governorship of his great state in so doing. This article will explain the unfolding crisis and why it is significant even for those of us not living in Virginia.

The current anti-gun bills that have just cleared the Virginia Senate are: Senate Bill (SB) 35, which will create additional gun-free zones and prohibit citizens from carrying firearms at public events requiring permits; SB 69, which prohibits the purchase of more than one firearm per 30 day period; and SB 70, which will severely restrict the sale and transfer of private firearms and require additional background checks and licenses. Other draconian bills, such as SB 240, which would institute a Leninist red flag gun confiscation order, have been tabled for the time being.

Virginia is going so far off the deep end that they are even pondering a bill that would charge individuals with a felony for “unlawful paramilitary activity.” If you do any of the following, it would be considered “unlawful”:

“1) Teaches or demonstrates to any other person the use, application, or making of any firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, knowing or having reason to know or intending that such training will be employed for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder; or

“2) Assembles with one or more persons for the purpose of training with, practicing with, or being instructed in the use of any firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, intending to employ such training for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder.”

In other words, the despotic bill could effectively prohibit formal firearms training and private militias. No doubt our Founding Fathers, who fired the first shots of the War for Independence because the British were attempting to confiscate their firearms at Lexington and Concord, would recoil and oppose such a measure.

When this gaggle of anti-gun bills was first making its way down the pipe, Governor Northam made national news when a Democratic colleague suggested he call out the Virginia National Guard to enforce the unconstitutional laws. Let’s address this point for a moment. First, the governor of a state absolutely does have authority to call out the National Guard to enforce state laws. That’s not the issue. The issue is that the laws that would be enforced are unconstitutional and, thus, void and invalid.

The supremacy clause of the Constitution, Article VI, Clause 2, plainly states:

“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”

This means that the Constitution trumps state law. It trumps Supreme Court rulings. It even trumps Congressional laws and executive orders if those are not in harmony with constitutional principles. Let’s look at how this applies in our present situation.

The relevant part of the Second Amendment states that “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” If a law – state, local, federal, it makes no difference – infringes upon the individual’s right to keep and bear arms, that law is, by the default pronouncement of the Constitution, null and void! That is, it is an unconstitutional and, therefore, unenforceable, law. All officers of government throughout the country are “bound” by the Constitution and must obey it.

Oaths are important. It is not a trivial matter to swear to one’s Maker and before the American People. Anyone swearing an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution, which military personnel, congressmen, the president, National Guardsmen, and others do, would be in direct violation of that oath were they to enforce unconstitutional, gun-grabbing, Liberty-destroying, property-stealing laws like SB 35, SB 70, SB 69, and SB 240. There is simply no debate on the subject – a freeman has the duty to disobey tyrannical, unconstitutional laws. This the Constitution requires.

Benjamin Franklin’s motto, which he proposed for the motto of the United States, was: “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.” This was a general maxim at the time of America’s founding. Everyone believed that they not only had a right, but a duty, to resist and oppose tyrants. And what is a tyrant? Webster’s 1828 dictionary defines tyranny as:

“Arbitrary or despotic exercise of power; the exercise of power over subjects and others with a rigor not authorized by law or justice, or not requisite for the purposes of government. Hence tyranny is often synonymous with cruelty and oppression.”

Since the Second Amendment to the Constitution plainly guarantees that the individual’s right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed,” and the Constitution binds everyone in a position of public trust to support only laws in harmony with its principles and directives, it follows that anyone promoting unconstitutional laws is, by very definition, a tyrant. Governor Northam and the mob of Democrats in the Virginia Legislature are tyrants. Perhaps they would do well to recall that the flag of the great state of Virginia proudly displays the words: Sic Semper Tyrannis; or, in popular expression, Death to Tyrants.

The public reaction to the Democrats’ hostile legislation and the governor’s threats has been heated. Many Virginians are livid. Over 100 cities and counties in the state have passed resolutions declaring themselves sanctuary counties for guns. Sheriffs have gone on record stating flatly that they will disobey any anti-gun law or gun confiscation order. Sheriff Scott Jenkins of Culpeper County, for instance, has taken a firm stand and stated bluntly:

“My office will always encourage and support our citizens in firearms training, concealed carry permits, and the ability to defend themselves and their families. I remain very optimistic that our General Assembly will not pass the proposed bills. Obviously, if passed, there are many of us willing to challenge these laws through the courts. In addition, if necessary, I plan to properly screen and deputize thousands of our law-abiding citizens to protect their constitutional right to own firearms.”

Stories have circulated that Tazewell County is forming their own militia to resist gun control. This isn’t precisely accurate, though it is in the ballpark. Tazewell County Administrator Eric Young explained:

“We are not forming a militia. Our intent is to provide all of our residents the opportunity to own weapons, learn basic survival skills, and learn basic military discipline, if they are interested in doing so. In the unlikely event we were to need a militia, we would have a population which would include people with weapons and those skills.”

Everywhere you look in Virginia, anger is rising. As these tyrannical bills lurch closer to becoming law (albeit unconstitutional law), the free citizens of Virginia are gearing up for a fight. A pro-gun, pro-Freedom rally is scheduled to meet at the capital in Richmond on January 20. So paranoid is Governor Northam that he has declared a state of emergency and banned all guns from the premises. The tyrannical order was protested by the besieged Virginians, but an activist court allowed it nonetheless.

While thousands of patriots are projected to attend Monday’s rally to protest the assault on their rights, hordes of anti-Freedom activists are also vowing to attend. For instance, the Marxist rabble known as Antifa are planning to attend in order to stir up and provoke violence. A quick word about Antifa. Antifa is a domestic terrorist organization founded by Jewish Marxists nearly ninety years ago. I quote from the Cleveland Jewish News:

“In 1934, Milwaukee police arrested three leftists who infiltrated a pro-Nazi meeting and began scuffling with supporters of Hitler. The leftists were part of a group of several hundred anti-fascists who entered the meeting, broke it up and pelted the keynote speaker with rotten eggs. The melee ended only after 100 police arrived to restore order.

“Today’s antifa (an abbreviation of “anti-fascist action”) sees itself as the ideological descendant of activists like these. Anti-fascist brawlers — many of them communists, socialists or anarchists — began organizing in the 1920s and ’30s.”

Antifa and those who cover for them label anyone opposed to communism as “Nazis,” “fascists,” and “white supremacists.” In truth, those who oppose the Antifa/Marxist agenda are Freedom-loving patriots. Antifa thugs were the ones who initiated the much publicized violence in Charlottseville, Virginia, among other places. They, not the alleged “white supremacists” and “Nazis,” were the ones responsible for the carnage there. And it will be they, not the Virginian patriots, who will be guilty of causing violence should there be any in Richmond.

It is interesting to note that yesterday I discovered YouTube has begun censoring my Liberty Wolf podcast just as Facebook has for censoring my work for years. YouTube recently deleted episode #17, which exposes Antifa for the domestic terrorists they are, for “hate speech.” Yes, “hate speech” is what they call truth. Truth is to communists as the cross is to vampires. And I find the timing curious. At the time that Antifa Marxist thugs are planning to shake things up in Virginia, my podcast calling them out for their violent terrorist activities is silenced. Coincidence?

There is a nation-wide effort to pin the blame for violence and civil disturbances on normal, everyday American patriots – especially those of us who are white. There are many forces, including the media, which are behind this effort. I mention only two: The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

The ADL is one of the most vile, tyrannical, and maniacally savage organizations in the country. It is in its own right a domestic terrorist organization. The ADL is linked with Israeli intelligence and is little more than a wing of the Israeli regime. It is also part and parcel of the Jewish Masonic sect B’nai B’rith. If one word characterizes its activities, it is, ironically, defamation. They defame patriots, constitutionalists, white folks, and anyone who opposes the Marxist-Zionist agenda. Here’s the ludicrous spin the ADL is spewing about the Virginia situation:

“White supremacists, meanwhile, are using the event to further their own violent agenda and to spread hatred of Jews and other minorities. In a post that was shared by numerous white supremacist and accelerationist channels, a user alleged that the Jews now control the state of Virginia, and that they are leading the push to “confiscate ‘assault weapons.’”

“Conspiracy theories and false information campaigns are further exacerbating tensions in Virginia. The most pervasive conspiracy theory on social media is the notion that Virginia’s Democrats intend to confiscate firearms, despite Gov. Northam’s and other Democratic lawmakers’ consistent reassurances they have no plan to do so. Another popular theory suggests the United Nations is somehow involved in Virginia’s gun debate, a conspiracy theory linked to far-right fears regarding a “globalist” takeover of the U.S.

“These conspiracy theories, however outlandish, can have real world implications. If people believe that Jews are behind efforts to confiscate firearms, then it is more likely that malicious actors will threaten or attack Jewish targets. Similarly, if people believe that the rally will be targeted by groups such as Antifa and that they might have to fight, then they are more likely to react violently to events on the ground.”

In the ADL’s eyes, anyone who shows up to protest the Democrats’ oppressive anti-gun laws is a “white supremacist,” a “conspiracy theorist,” and, probably, an “anti-Semite.” This is the type of narrative they’ve been pushing for eons. They want everyone to think that constitutionalists and pro-gun patriots are out-of-touch, racist, anti-Semitic Nazis on the verge of violence. The reality is that we who oppose the ADL’s defamation and their radical anti-Constitution, anti-Liberty agenda are in touch with reality.

For instance, it is not a “conspiracy theory” to say that Jews support gun control. In 2017, Rabbi Eric Yoffie wrote an editorial in the Israeli publication Haaretz titled “U.S. Jews Support Gun Control, but the Political Debate Ignores It.” Speaking in the context of the Aurora, Colorado shooting, Rabbi Yoffie stated:

“And almost immediately, liberals, some Democrats, Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City, and even a very few mainstream Republicans demanded to know why laws have not been passed to keep guns out of the hands of those who commit these outrageous crimes.

“And Jews were cheering them on.

“Americans in general may be divided about gun control, but Jewish Americans are not. They have always been among the most enthusiastic advocates of legislation that will regulate gun ownership in a reasonable way. At the Million Mom March a dozen years ago, the largest gun-control demonstration in American history, Jews attended in droves.

“This is because most Jews are still Democrats, and gun control is more of a Democrat issue than a Republican one; this is because Jews are an overwhelmingly urban people who lack a culture of hunting and gun ownership; and this is because the NRA is associated in the minds of many Jews with extremist positions that frighten Jews and from which they instinctively recoil.”

Again, I ask, is it a “conspiracy theory” to say that Jews constitute one of the major blocs pushing the anti-gun agenda? Hardly! Is it wrong to point out that the most hardcore anti-gunners in the nation – Bloomberg, Feinstein, Schumer, et al. – are Jews? Not at all. In fact, it is dishonest to deny this important link.

Yet, to the ADL, truth is dangerous. They don’t want Americans to know the truth. Instead, they want us to be scared to criticize a Jew for any reason. They want us to be terrified of being branded with the “Nazi” stigma. Yet, patriots need to man up and realize that these false labels don’t matter. If you’re branded as a “Nazi,” “fascist,” “Klansman,” or “white supremacist,” for standing up for Liberty and Americanism, so what? Wear it as a badge of honor and know that you’re getting under the ADL’s exceedingly thin skin.

The second anti-Freedom organization I will mention is the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). In an absurd article titled “Conspiracy Theories, Threats of Violence Loom Over Coming Gun Rally in Richmond,” which is part of their “Hate Watch” campaign, the Marxist SPLC opined:

“Gun-rights activists and antigovernment extremists are planning a protest in Richmond, Virginia, on Monday fueled by antigovernment conspiracy theories and accompanied by online calls for violence. . . .

“Gov. Ralph Northam also declared a state of emergency before the expected protest.

““We’re seeing threats of violence,” Northam said Tuesday at a news conference. “We’re seeing threats of armed confrontation and assault on our Capitol.”

“Those threats of violence have been rampant among antigovernment and far-right groups online. The Virginia Militia, a Facebook group that shares antigovernment memes, posted a paid Facebook advertisement featuring a gallows and three hanging nooses. Beneath the photo is the caption “Government Repair Kit.” . . . .

“On Telegram, the event is being lauded by a subset of white nationalists and neo-Nazis that have enthusiastically endorsed violence and terrorism as a means to their political ends. One channel has posted the names of Jewish lawmakers in Virginia who have spoken out in favor of stronger gun regulations. The Justice Department said Thursday that three men were taken into custody by the FBI amid an investigation into the white nationalist group The Base. . . .

“The event is underpinned by antigovernment conspiracy theories.”

Apparently SB 35, SB 69, and SB 70 are all “conspiracy theories.” Apparently there is no agenda (SB 240) to confiscate guns – it’s all just a hateful “conspiracy theory” pushed by “neo-Nazis” and “white nationalists.” Ladies and gentlemen, can you see how their false narrative goes? Can you see how they push their lies? Can you see the type of baseless smears they use to vilify their opposition? Surely you can see that their real agenda is to demonize white people, patriots, and anti-Marxists so that they can proceed to destroy our national Freedom as guaranteed by the Constitution.

It is clear that neither the ADL terrorist group nor the SPLC Marxist radicals have never looked at the Virginian flag which proclaims Sic Semper Tyrannis. “Death to tyrants” it not a threat – it is a duty. Tyrants have forfeited their right to life by attempting to destroy the lives, by demolishing the Liberty, of the people who put them into their positions of trust in the first place. In doing so, they mark themselves as enemies of the Republic and as tyrants in the fullest meaning of the definition.

Let the words of John Adams be imprinted on your heart – and let them stand as a warning to tyrants in every part of the Republic:

It is the right of the American People, which includes the good people of Virginia, “to kill a tyrant.” I don’t suggest they storm the Richmond Capitol and lynch the governor. I don’t recommend violent self-defense at this stage. But I am stating a true principle. The people may hang a traitor and tyrant from the highest gallows if he attempts, as Governor Northam and his Democrat cohorts are attempting, to destroy their rights vouchsafed by the Constitution.

Virginians, like Americans everywhere, only owe obedience to God and to the supreme law of the land, which is the Constitution. Their obedience is to principle, not party; ideas, not individuals; the Constitution, not the collective whim. They owe zero obedience to the wild dictates of a president, the activist opinions of a court, or the tyrannical laws of a congress or state legislature.

Indeed, Virginians would be violating George Washington’s maxim that the Constitution is “sacredly obligatory upon all” if they were to disobey that sacred document and allow a hostile law, calculated to destroy the Second Amendment and infringe on the rights of the people to defend themselves, to go into effect. To allow evil is evil. To allow tyranny to proceed without protest is to be complicit in the destruction of Liberty. To be silent in the face of hostility is to stand guilty of aiding and abetting it.

For Virginians to allow their state to ramrod gun control down their throats is not only embarrassing, but anti-American. It flies in the face of Virginia’s noble traditional of fighting for Freedom. Good Virginians like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, James Madison, Stonewall Jackson, and Robert E. Lee are surely rolling in their graves as they watch their state be reduced to slavery.

The showdown in Virginia is important to Americans in every corner of the Republic because of a principle Thomas Paine once articulated:

“He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself” (Thomas Paine, Dissertation on First-Principles of Government, 32).

If we watch the Virginia regime strip the right of self-defense away from its people and merely shrug and go about our lives, will we then have a right to protest when it happens in our state? If we sit silently now, won’t it be hypocritical to speak up when the gun-control overlords seek to steal your Liberty’s teeth? Simply put, if the Constitution can be violated in Virginia, it can be violated in Montana, Idaho, Utah, or Wyoming. None of us is safe when another state can defy the Constitution at will and curtail the rights of its people.

When the War for Independence broke out against the British monarchist invaders and their ruthless mercenaries, Americans from the thirteen states rushed to the aid of their oppressed brothers wherever they needed assistance. Doubtless there will be people from many states in Richmond next Monday. God bless them for taking a stand for Freedom! And may God give you the strength, wherever you are, to raise your voice in defense of our besieged Virginian countrymen.

I end with a statement from the Virginia Citizens Defense League which is hosting the upcoming rally and with my own plea for American patriots to rise in defense of the Constitution:

“There have been many rumors, videos, and articles flying around the internet. We cannot stress enough that this is a peaceful day to address our Legislature. Yes, we hold a rally, but the point of the day is communication with our Representatives. To our knowledge there are no credible threats of violence. That being said, please practice appropriate situational awareness. IF YOU SEE A BAD ACTOR flag down a police officer and point it out. If someone tries to provoke you, smile and walk away. There is probably someone secretly recording the interaction, with the intent of capturing some kind of inappropriate reaction on your part. Don’t take the bait. It’s not worth the bad press. The eyes of the nation and the world are on Virginia and VCDL right now and we must show them that gun owners are not the problem. Lead by example. . . .

“Thank you all for your support. For those coming from other states to stand with Virginia, we appreciate you making the long trip. This will be a notable day in history. Let’s all work together to keep it positive and to achieve our goal of protecting our right to keep and bear arms.”

Bloomberg Vows to Destroy Your Right of Self-Defense

Yesterday, the rabid socialist Michael Bloomberg, who is currently running for the Democratic Party’s nomination for president, stood up in Aurora, Colorado to unveil his proposals for ending so-called “gun violence” in America. In reality, the only thing he wants to end is your God-given, Constitutionally-guaranteed right of self-defense. This quick article is a rebuttal to Bloomberg’s atrocious distortions, anti-American propaganda, and threats against our Liberty.

The former socialist mayor of New York City, the Jew Mike Bloomberg, started off his outlandish remarks by citing the “disgraceful” number of annual gun deaths in the United States. He alleged that America suffers from “gun violence” far more than any other “developed” nation. In his words: “No other developed country experiences losses of gun violence like we do here in America. They’re not even close.” Notice how he surreptitiously slipped the qualifier “developed” in there. This is how he gets away with pushing his lies about the alleged “national emergency” the United States has with “gun violence.”

It is a blatant lie to suggest that the United States has a unique or unparalleled problem – a “national emergency” – with “gun violence.” It’s simply not true. Anyone who takes the time to research the subject knows this is completely false. Even mainstream media outlets hostile to the 2nd Amendment are frequently forced to admit that the verifiable numbers smash this propaganda talking point into a million pieces.

Three short years ago, the far left propaganda outlet NPR admitted that far from ranking first in the world for gun violence, the United States actually ranked 31st! NPR stated: “[T]he U.S. has the 31st highest rate in the world: 3.85 deaths due to gun violence per 100,000 people in 2016.” In 2016, tiny El Salvador actually ranked first in gun violence. The top five nations for gun violence that year were El Salvador, Venezuela, Guatemala, Colombia, and Honduras. Latin America was then, and is now, the most violent region of the world.

In a recent article titled “400 murders a day: 10 reasons why Latin America is the world’s most violent place,” Business Insider reported:

Outside of active war zones, Latin America is the world’s most violent region. . . .

Latin America is home to about 8% of the world’s population but has about one-third of its homicides. . . .

In Mexico, the region’s second most populous country, 33,753 homicide victims in 2018 set a record for the second year in a row; 17,142 victims in the first half of this year likely means 2019 will set a new mark.

In Brazil, the most populated country in the region, homicides fell 13% between 2017 and 2018, but that still means 51,589 people were killed. . . .

Chile’s 2.7 homicides per 100,000 people in 2018 were about half the US’s 5.3 — Mexico and Brazil’s 25 per 100,000 and Venezuela’s 80 were many times more. . . .

On average across the region, some 75% of homicides in Latin America are gun-related — that proportion may seem obvious, [Robert] Muggah said, “but actually global average is closer to 40%. In Europe it’s down . . . in the low 20s and teens.””

They proceeded to cite additional statistics and theorize about causes for gun violence, such as drug cartels, urbanization, mass unemployment, social unrest, and a severely broken justice system. However, I want to hone in on the numbers and compare them to U.S. statistics.

Various organizations inflate the numbers or skew the context to give you a false picture of reality. Consequently, I’ve taken the numbers from the annual FBI crime statistics. For 2018, the FBI noted a 6.2 percent decrease from the previous year’s murders. They set the overall number of murders in 2018 at 14,123. Isn’t it curious that Bloomberg and all the other liars talk about how unspeakably violent America is, yet we rank behind a host of nations in gun violence and homicides and our murder rates actually dropped last year even as gun ownership continued to increase?

But let’s focus on “developed” countries, since that’s the ruse Bloomberg is using. While the list is necessarily subjective and depends on your measuring criteria, there are, according to the IMF, approximately 39 “advanced economies” in the world out of a possible 195 nations. Isn’t it a little disingenuous for socialist Mayor Bloomberg to ignore murder rates and gun violence in a full 80% of the world just so he can maintain his claim that the United States has a “unique” gun problem? Some of us might call this sleight of hand a deliberate distortion. After all, don’t the other 156 countries matter? Don’t the gun violence victims, for whom he claims to have so much sympathy, matter even though they’re in third-world countries? Of course, when you compare U.S. statistics against the entire world, we are not even in the top 25 for “gun violence.” This is precisely the reason why the liar from New York uses qualifiers like “developed countries” to peddle his propaganda.

Let’s continue to dissect the numbers. Of those “developed countries” that have lower gun violence than the United States, there are some factors that cannot be ignored when making a judgment about rates of violence. First, population. The population of the United States is 340 million, with some 30 million illegal aliens who commit a massive amount of crime not reflected in that number. The population of the entirety of Europe is 741 million. Germany, the most populated nation in Europe, has almost 83 million people, whereas “developed” nations like Britain and Sweden have only 66 and 10 million respectively. The U.S. state of California alone has 40 million. If you add Texas’s and California’s populations together – only two of our fifty states – you get a population several million higher than the United Kingdom’s. Three of our states, California, Texas, and Florida, have a combined population of 90 million – seven million higher than Germany.

My point with these statistics is that you cannot simply compare our numbers across the board with European nations (which constitute most of the “developed” nations in the world) because our population is so much higher. Simple reason would dictate that you would expect there to be higher numbers of crime in the United States. When you factor in the reality that 340 million Americans own 423 million guns, this assumption of higher-thanusual violence would seem logical. Yet, in reality, considering our extremely large population – third only behind China’s and India’s – and our unprecedented ownership of firearms, the fact that only 10,000 Americans were killed by guns of all types in 2018 is stunning and puts to rest the notion that America is so uniquely violent.

I want to reiterate that I’m taking my numbers directly from the FBI’s official crime statistics. According to the FBI, in 2018 there were 14,123 murder victims in the United States out of our population of 340 million. There were 14,123 murder victims, of which 10,265 were killed with firearms of all types. 6,603 of these were killed with handguns and a mere 297 were killed with rifles of all types, which includes the oh-so-scary “assault rifles” that Bloomberg and the lying media rant and rave about.

For comparison, consider that every year 88,000 Americans die from alcohol, 40,000 Americans died in car crashes in 2018, and bicycles kill over 2,000 (1/5 of the total deaths from guns) U.S. children each year. In all seriousness, where is this supposedly unprecedented and egregious “gun violence” Bloomberg speaks of? It’s certainly not in my town in Idaho. It’s nowhere to be found in states like Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, or the Dakotas. If Bloomberg really cares about saving lives, he would convert his absurd “end gun violence” campaign into an “end alcohol violence,” or “end automobile violence,” or “end bicycle violence” campaign.

Another statistic to be aware of is that 2/3 of gun deaths in the United States are suicides. The number of suicides are not reflected in the FBI crime numbers. Sometimes you see anti-gunners lump all the numbers together and call them “gun incidents.” Don’t fall for it. In other words, the majority of gun-related deaths are self-inflicted as opposed to maliciously inflicted upon us by criminals. Once again, this belies the claim that America is so violent. Also, I would point out that 17-20 military veterans every day commit suicide, making up a large percentage of the thousands who commit suicide every year. This is unacceptable. If Bloomberg truly cared about saving victims of gun violence, perhaps he should focus on saving military veterans who have been treated so horribly bad and been put through so much while fighting our illegal wars that they feel the only escape is death.

This is just a smattering of facts and statistics. The overall point is this: The numbers prove that Bloomberg was either deliberately lying or was woefully uninformed (and therefore unreliable) when he falsely claimed that the United States tops the world in gun violence. It’s simply not true, ladies and gentlemen. Yet, this is the type of lying garbage being peddled by Democrats desperate to destroy your Liberty so they might rule over you.

Before moving to the next point, let me state that actual human beings, not mere statistics, refute Bloomberg’s lying narrative about the safety in other “developed” countries. I have nearly 10,000 followers on Facebook and over the years I’ve had individuals from Australia, the United Kingdom, and other foreign countries beg Americans not to give up their guns and to be careful not to give away our Freedom like they have foolishly done. I once had a British fellow tell about the horrible violence in his neighborhood and the fact that he has no way to defend himself because it’s nearly impossible to own a gun there. Back in 2010, I worked in Hawaii with an Australian who said he would never move back to Australia because of the totalitarian gun control laws. He now lives in the United States. And earlier this week, a man from Bulgaria commented on my article “Red Flags Over America” which details three American cities that hoisted the Chinese communist flag back in October to celebrate the murderous Maoist state. He wrote:

Red flags in USA!? Don’t tell me that it’s true! I was born and bred in Communist Bulgaria under Russian domination, for me USA and GB were the symbols of freedom! Root out the traitors.”

I couldn’t agree more. If we want to restore our Republic, we must root out traitors and tyrants like the socialist Michael Bloomberg. And we can start by boldly calling them what they are – traitors. It doesn’t help to play their political correctness game and to be nice to people who want to enslave us. These are anti-American traitors and they should be treated as enemies to the Republic. Those who would do you violence don’t deserve to escape infamy.

To preface the next portion of this article, I draw a quote from Bloomberg. He alleged: “This year in the United States 12,000 people will be murdered with illegal handguns and 19,000 people will commit suicide with illegal guns.” Illegal guns? What illegal guns? He’s citing what is perhaps (no one knows the precise statistics yet for 2019) the overall firearm death toll. Yet, in his contempt for guns, he refers to all of them as “illegal.” In Bloomberg’s mind, any gun you own is illegal and he will do his utmost to deprive you of them and leave you completely defenseless.

Also, I find it amusing that Bloomberg’s use of the word “illegal” actually deflates his entire argument about needing stricter gun control. As his words acknowledge, making firearms “illegal” does NOTHING to prevent murderers from murdering. He clearly doesn’t expect his emotion-driven audience to be smart enough to put two and two together, but those of us who haven’t taken leave of our senses can see right through his lies. After all, murder has been outlawed in every culture on earth and yet it has always happened regardless of the weapons available. Curtailing what is clearly a “shall not be infringed” right has zero chance of helping the situation because people so evil that they’re willing to murder are evil enough to disregard any law you pass to “end gun violence.”

Bloomberg blamed several factors for the alleged “gun violence” he falsely claims grips America. He blamed the NRA, of course. But he also blamed racism! (remember what I said about his audience being emotion-driven) He had the audacity to allege that pointing out the fact that blacks and Latinos commit most of the gun violence in America misses the point and fuels racism and violence. Actually, that is one of the most important points!

The lion’s share of violent crime in this country occurs in major cities in neighborhoods dominated by blacks and Latinos. 52% of violent crime for a thirty year period of recent history, for instance, was committed by blacks even though only 13% of the population is black (and most of the perpetrators are black males, which make up only 6% of the population). If you eliminated this rampant colored-on-colored and colored-on-white violence, there would be minimal violent crime in the United States. For instance, black-on-black murder accounts for 93% of all murdered blacks! If there’s an epidemic in the United States, it is violence in black and Latino neighborhoods and certainly not in white America!

Yet, spin-master Michael Bloomberg wants those of us who are white to feel “white guilt” and blame ourselves for being “racist” when we tell the truth that blacks and Latinos commit, by far, more crime than us despite being far fewer in number than we are. He wants us to consult our emotions instead of our reason. He wants us to feel so bad and guilty that we will acquiesce as tyrants like him steal our God-given right of self-defense. You can kill me or haul me off to the GULAG, but I refuse to tolerate the lies any longer. I refuse to be called a racist because of my skin color (which is the very definition of racism!) I refuse to stand by as my rights are stolen away by traitors.

Now we arrive at perhaps the most important portion of the article. Yesterday, Bloomberg made several proposals on how he plans to combat “gun violence” (i.e. how he plans to destroy your right of self-defense). Above all, he wants to increase the hoops we have to jump through to purchase a gun, including more extensive background checks. He stated:

To begin with, if I’m lucky enough to get elected, we’re going to overhaul the background check system to make it much more effective. No one should be able to buy a gun without passing a complete background check. And we’re going to get that done. But we’ll also close loopholes and gaps in system like the one allowing unmarried domestic abusers to possess guns and the one allowing sales to go through a background check takes longer than three business days and the one preventing law enforcement from identifying felons and others who own guns illegally. But we’ll also be smarter about who can buy guns. For instance, 18 to 20 year olds are four times as likely to commit a homicide compared to older Americans. The suicide rate among teens has increased exponentially over the past decade. And in most states the legal age for purchasing a handgun from a private seller is still only 18. Think about it, if you have to be 21 to buy a beer, you ought to be 21 at least to buy a handgun or any form of semi-automatic firearm. We’ll also work to adopt a 48-hour waiting period for every purchase. That is really important for preventing suicide. And we’ll adopt a red flag law at the federal level.”

He then lamented that “most” of the information in a background check “can’t be used to actually deny a purchase” of a firearm. He continued:

And we’re going to change that by requiring buyers to obtain a permit before they purchase a gun. Because just having a background check isn’t enough. The question is, no matter what the background check says, can you stop them from getting a gun when they’re minors, when they have a criminal record, or when they have psychiatric problems. This permit will allow authorities to screen applicants for dangerous behavior.”

What constitutes “dangerous behavior” that could allow “authorities” to deny you a firearm? On the list are “arrests for violence, like assault and domestic violence incidents, and arrests for reckless behavior like driving while intoxicated.”

Bloomberg thinks the “authorities” should be able to screen people for mental health problems before selling them guns in order to keep them out of the hands of “dangerous” people. Who will be the judge of who is dangerous or mentally incompetent? Obviously the “authorities.” But who are the “authorities”? The federal government? Local police? Unelected bureaucrats in some alphabet agency? The Supreme Court? A county judge with no medical training? A state-appointed councilor, British-style? Psychiatrists?

Will the “authorities” be the same gaggle of psychiatrists who have come together to declare President Donald Trump insane? Will it be the same psychiatrists who declare you mentally ill if you believe that Jesus Christ rose from the tomb? Will it be the same psychiatrists who declare perfectly stable military veterans “mentally defective” as a pretext to take their firearms? Will “conspiracy theorists,” “Nazis,” “Holocaust deniers,” “climate change deniers,” and “homophobes,” like I’m routinely called, be denied firearms because their views are deemed abnormal or delusional by the “authorities”? You can be sure they will with the extremist Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in the process of indoctrinating the “authorities” everywhere in the Union.

My rebuttal to Bloomberg’s threat to force Americans to be screened before they can enjoy their God-given rights is simple. I was under the impression that in America the People were the ultimate authority. I was under the impression that the People ratified the Constitution as the supreme law of the land to which all other laws, state or federal, must submit. And I was also under the impression that our supreme law states in no uncertain terms that “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.” SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Period. Unless the American People have changed the 2nd Amendment in the Bill of Rights without my knowing it, it is still the supreme law of the land and any law short of a full-blown amendment ratified by the People in their individual states is inherently, automatically, and emphatically unconstitutional and void, the whims of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the president be damned.

If you thought Bloomberg was finished with his suggestions for shredding the 2nd Amendment, think again. He continued his baseless diatribe with these additional threats against our Liberty:

As president, I will attack gun violence from every angle. I will work with Congress to reinstate the ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazines, to ban 3D printing of guns, and to require firearms to be safely secured. I’ll work to give the Consumer Products Safety Commission the authority to adopt minimum gun safety standards. And I’ll declare gun violence to be a national public health emergency which will increase the funding available for research. I’ll also increase funding for the ATF to conduct enforcement and for community based violence intervention programs. I’ll ban guns at all schools and colleges. I’ll work with business leaders to encourage responsible sales practices and pressure the gun industry to change . . . this is part of my life’s work and I’m just telling you I will get this done whether I get elected or not.”

Threats, threats, and more threats. Here you have a plain example of a would-be king telling the peasants that when he’s in charge their Liberty will be abolished. And if you don’t like living under feudalism, it doesn’t matter because the “authorities” will enforce the king’s whims whether you like it or not. Bloomberg might as well rewrite his campaign slogan to read: “Vote for me and get rid of your pesky Freedom.”

As noted, Bloomberg thinks his audience is dumber than a bag of rocks (and they probably are). Anyone who wants to ban so-called assault weapons has to be at least partially out of their mind. As cited earlier, a mere 297 people were killed with rifles of all types in 2018. This very low number includes all victims of “assault weapons” as well as other types of rifles. It’s a pitifully low number, yet it’s what we hear about the most in the controlled media. The real reason we are inundated with anti-assault weapon propaganda is because “assault weapons” make the American People a formidable enemy to tyrants. Tyrants like Michael Bloomberg know that in order to fully dominate and micromanage your life you must first be stripped of your means of self-defense – and the best means of self-defense at the current time is a so-called “assault weapon.”

I want to touch upon two more points briefly before wrapping up. Bloomberg made the claim that the gun industry has “blanket immunity” regarding “gun violence” and that no other industry has such an immunity. But is this actually true?

First off, I would ask why an entire industry should be blamed for how individuals improperly use their products. Should Toyota be blamed if I decide to drive a Toyota into a crowd of people? Should Estwing be blamed if I use one of their hammers to crack someone’s skull open? Should Nike be blamed if I kicked someone while wearing a pair of their shoes? Of course not! The very idea is absurd and anti-American. Yet, that’s the very thing Bloomberg is proposing with the gun industry which, please recall, he threatened to use his post as president to “pressure” into submission – as if we live in the Soviet Union and business was forced to bow to government!

Second, it’s not true that the gun industry has immunity – people blame them for everything and there are constantly lawsuits aimed at gun manufactures. In 2015, when Hillary Clinton made the same claim about immunity, she was fact-checked by numerous liberal sources such as NPR. I cite the following from The Blaze:

PolitiFact deemed Clinton’s two assertions about the law false: the law does not shield the gun industry from “any kind of liability,” and the gun industry is also not the “only” industry to get such liability protection. . . .

PolitiFact stated, “The gun industry is susceptible to some lawsuits, and there are federal laws restricting liability for a number of other types of businesses.””

Bloomberg’s claim about immunity, which is identical with Clinton’s, is as equally false in 2019 as it was in 2015.

Third, apparently Bloomberg doesn’t know much about the vaccine industry and the fact that the law gives them immunity and that manufacturers cannot be sued by the thousands of families which suffer from vaccine-related injuries and deaths. The law states: “No vaccine manufacturer shall be liable in a civil action for damages arising from a vaccine-related injury or death associated with the administration of a vaccine.” Again, as with almost everything he says, Michael Bloomberg is either deliberately lying or is a tremendous dolt.

I tend to believe the first option – that Michael Bloomberg is a malicious liar. He continuously sacrifices facts to appeal to emotion. He uses words like “national emergency” to rile people up and spur them to blind “action” – even when that “action” is not in their best interest. How can “gun violence” be considered a “national emergency” when less than 1/8 the number of people die from guns as die from alcohol or when 1/7 the number of people die from guns than opioids or when one in sixty-eight American children have autism and Yale and Harvard confirm the links between vaccines and autism? There are much more pressing issues than guns and “gun violence,” ladies and gentlemen. But Blooomberg is a demagogue who wants control over your life and he’ll tell you any lie and distort any fact to make it happen. Remember, destroying the 2nd Amendment and erasing your right to self-defense is his “life’s work.”

Finally, Bloomberg ended his tirade with a revealing statement. He said that to stop gun violence “the number 1 priority is . . . to make sure Donald Trump is not reelected.” He also called President Trump’s administration “four years of cruelty and incompetence.” Interesting, is it not, that the Communist Party USA also said their #1 priority right now is to ensure that Donald Trump is not reelected? Earlier this year, Communist Party USA chairman John Bachtell announced:

The aim is to oust Trump and the Republican Senate majority, defend the Democratic House majority, and break the GOP domination of governorships and state legislatures, which includes supporting candidates from their ranks, including communists.”

Bloomberg and Bachtell must be getting their talking points and inspiration from the same source!

Let’s make no bones about it, Michael Bloomberg is a tyrant. He’s a traitor to American Freedom. And he’s a blatant liar. In a nation of 340 million, 10,000 gun deaths is not an epidemic, though of course it is tragic. But even if it was an epidemic, no government on earth has the authority to destroy your right to self-defense. This is especially true in the United States where our Constitution strictly forbids government from infringing on our right to keep and bear arms. We the People are the authority in this matter – not Bloomberg and whatever so-called “authorities” he has in mind to screen us and decide whether we can enjoy our rights.

Folks, if you haven’t realized it yet, it’s time to wake up to the fact that our God-given rights are under assault from every side. We’re in an awful situation brought about by a cabal of Satanic communists and their fellow travelers who want to set themselves up as our lords and masters. Our Republic teeters on the brink of total ruin. The Constitution is being used as fire starter in Washington. And our right to defend our Faith, Families, and Freedom is one major election away from annihilation. It is time, like never before, to educate yourself and your families, determine to vote on principle regardless of party, and to humble yourself before God and rely upon Him to bring us through this crisis. Everyday Tyranny

We think we are free. We think America is the “land of the free and home of the brave.” But how accurate is this boast in 2019? It is true that we enjoy a greater measure of Liberty and prosperity than any other nation, even in our degraded state. I love this Republic and acknowledge the tremendous blessing it is to live here. And it is precisely because of my intense love for America that I warn of the subversion of our Liberty that is taking place around us and that afflicts us, whether we realize it or not, on a daily basis.

For many decades, die-hard enemies of our Republic, our Constitution, our Freedom, our heritage, and our greatness have worked to subvert our Liberty, impair our institutions, curtail our rights, weaken our economy, corrupt our culture, lessen our global influence for good, and drag us down as a People. This group of socialistic traitors has achieved astonishing success. We have stumbled because we been too apathetic, have grown ignorant, and have lost touch with the things that made us great; namely, our Faith, Families, and Freedom.

While we have been preoccupied with bread and circuses, our enemies have erected a framework of bristling tyranny around us. Literally every day we come into contact with this despotic system. We have been so indoctrinated through public schooling and media mind manipulation that we do not even realize we are being victimized. We have accepted our chains which grow heavier by the day.

James Wilson, one of the great legal minds among our Founding Fathers, said that “law and liberty cannot rationally become the objects of our love, unless they first become the objects of our knowledge.” I believe this is true. How can we defend our rights, for example, if we do not know what they are and cannot articulate them? How can we judge whether a law is sound or unjust if we do not understand the Constitution which is the supreme law of the land? And how can we expect to defend our Liberty if we do not truly love and value it?

Our godless, Marxist-dominated public schools have paved the way for our subjugation through their complacency in teaching the principles of Liberty. They have not taught the Constitution in a meaningful way. They rarely teach the value of civics and the responsibilities of citizenship. They teach Social Justice and collectivism rather than rule of law and characteristic American individualism. And they certainly do not give the moral instruction necessary for correct comprehension of our rights and responsibilities.

Most high schoolers today cannot articulate the Liberty philosophy espoused by their forefathers and codified in our great national documents. Yet, they most certainly can regurgitate the collectivist propaganda ingested during their years of compulsory public schooling. They do not know how to reason for themselves, but they can repeat Establishment talking points and Marxist mantras. They can’t tell you much about George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, but they know all about the communist agitators Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rosa Parks.

Our homes, the ultimate defenders of society, have done nothing to counteract the fraudulent teachings our children receive in public schools. Parents have failed in their duty to raise their children to be good, moral, patriotic citizens. They have surrendered their responsibility to teach their children and instead passively rely on public schools to do it for them. But instead of being taught and empowered with truth, our children have been anesthetized and made to feel comfortable in servitude.

I repeat that our programming has been so thorough that we do not even realize that we are being tyrannized and abused on a daily basis. To give a glimpse of the despotism we encounter every single day, I share five examples that demonstrate how we are routinely tyrannized. If some of the things I cite appear normal or even beneficial to you, then know that you have been deceived and lied to by the criminal class of Marxist gangsters that rules over us.

Jaywalking: In all fifty states, it is against the law to jaywalk (it is even a federal offense in some locations). What is jaywalking? Jaywalking is nothing more nor less than crossing a street in a location other than the arbitrary section of spray-painted pavement provided by the government. Have you ever considered that the government literally claims the power – on pain of punishment – to tell you where you can and cannot walk?

I still remember when I first learned of the baffling concept of jaywalking in fourth grade. I was leaving school to walk home and needed to cross the street. Instead of crossing at the cross-walk jammed with kids, I decided to cross in a less crowded area a few yards down. Suddenly, a sixth-grade “crossing guard” with his fancy vest and little stop sign started yelling at me that I was “jaywalking.” I had never heard the term and I wasn’t going to let someone tell me where I could and could not walk. So I crossed the road anyway, causing the “crossing guard” to chase me. Fortunately, I was quick and he didn’t get close enough to identify me and “write me up,” as he threatened to do. That story demonstrates the slavish programming received in government-run public schools and in a society that complies with everything the government demands without protest.

To me, as inconsequential as they may seem, jaywalking laws are the absolute epitome of tyranny. If any government can tell you where you can and cannot cross the street – that is, where you can and cannot walk – what Freedom do you really have?

Drivers Licenses: A license is needed when one does not have a right to do something. Do you have a right to travel? I submit that you do have a right to travel. And you have this right without government forcing you to take tests, jump through hoops, obey arbitrary traffic laws like speed limits, and pay a tax in order to enjoy it. What is the mandatory driver’s license fee if not a tax? And what are traffic tickets if not other taxes? Why should we have to take tests proving our competency before being allowed to travel? Traveling is not a privilege the government can grant and revoke at its pleasure.

Think of this in different terms. Did our forefathers have to prove they knew how to ride a horse, and then pay a fee to register their horse with the government, before they galloped out West? Did the Pioneers register and pay fees to the government for their covered wagons and oxen before crossing the plains? Did Thomas Jefferson have a license for those horses he loved to ride each day? Now that I think of it, Thomas Jefferson probably jaywalked, too, as he walked on foot to his swearing in as president. For shame! You’d think a man like Jefferson would know that he has to pay the government for the privilege of traveling in our “land of the free.”

Hunting/Fishing Licenses: Forcing us to buy hunting licenses, fishing licenses, deer tags, and so forth, is another arbitrary government tax and is an attempt to restrict our right and ability to put food on the table for our families. It is also an underhanded way to deter and control gun owners and squash the self-sufficiency of our People. How does government – federal, state, local, it doesn’t matter – have a right to dictate what type of food you can hunt and when you can hunt it? Who gave government this power over your livelihood?

I don’t recall anywhere in the Constitution – the supreme law of the land – where it says that we have to pay government for the “privilege” of killing food to feed our families. I don’t recall anything in the Declaration of Independence stating that for only two weeks out of the year we have a “privilege,” which we must pay for in advance, of harvesting just one deer, and that we must keep our license and tags on us at all times or suffer the wrath of the hordes of Forest Rangers who stalk the woods.

Here is an incident that happened to a man I know. I won’t use any names or locations, but you ought to know the type of oppression hunters routinely face. This man was driving along a mountainous, rural road in the evening and spotted what he thought was a deer in the woods. He stopped his vehicle and pulled out his rifle to get a better look at the deer through his scope. As soon as he looked, he realized it was a fake deer. Deer don’t normally have red eyes. He put the rifle away, but it was too late. A gang of screaming Forest Rangers jumped out of the woods and surrounded him.

The story ended with this man being accosted, threatened, and eventually paying a fine. I ask, what legitimate crime did this man commit? Who did he harm? Whose rights or property did he violate? What did he do that was wrong or immoral? He committed no crime and did nothing wrong. Yet, a group of government workers were hiding in the woods with a fake deer waiting for some innocent person to come by so they could extort money from them. That is the real crime in this scenario. And an even greater crime is that government thinks it can dictate what and when we can hunt and the American People are too apathetic or ignorant to resist.

Did our forefathers pay the government for the “privilege” of shooting deer, elk, bison, ducks, and pheasants to feed themselves? Did our Pilgrim forefathers have a permit to hunt that turkey they ate on that first Thanksgiving? Did the American Indians apply for permits to live off the land? Not hardly! And neither did our truly free ancestors because they knew their rights and understood that government does not have dictatorial power over your life.

Gun Restrictions: The 2nd Amendment in the Bill of Rights states that our God-given right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.” Shall not is very strong language. As originally intended, shall not is a command – a direct order – to government to not interfere with the American People’s rights of self-defense. Each of us has an individual right to own and use weapons. Arms does not refer explicitly to guns, but to any weapon or device that may be used for self-defense. Indeed, at the time of our founding, arms often referred to military grade weaponry. All peaceable citizens had a right and a duty to maintain and bear arms in defense of their families, country, and Liberty.

Today, however, gun owners are demonized and persecuted. In order to purchase firearms in many states we must jump through numerous hoops, endure background checks and waiting periods, and comply with a host of laws. On both the federal and state levels many types of firearms and weapons have been outright banned, from semi-automatic rifles to sawed-off shotguns to military style weapons and accessories. California has even created a task force to confiscate firearms from people it deems clinically insane. It’s sure a good thing no one calls Christians, conspiracy researchers, and “right wingers” insane, right?!

Even President Trump has usurped power and violated the Constitution by unilaterally deciding that the American People can no longer own bump stocks. Apparently the executive oath of office and the 2nd Amendment can be disregarded when there is a “crisis” like the Las Vegas shooting. Who needs a written Constitution when you can simply dictate through executive orders!

While there are victories here and there in the battle to preserve our right to defend ourselves against tyrants and criminals, and to otherwise enjoy firearms in any peaceable way we see fit, the powers-that-be are determined to disarm and subjugate us. The armed segment of American society is the only obstacle standing in the way of the Elites’ dream of a totalitarian world order. If we give up our right to defend ourselves, we give up everything. And if we continue to allow our rights to be buried under a heap of licenses, permits, fines, fees, and red tape, we will surely lose our Freedom.

Taxes: As a general rule, taxation is just another way to say “theft.” When you consider the agonizingly long list of taxes you pay each year, including dozens of hidden taxes like inflation that are not called taxes, you begin to realize how enslaved you’re becoming. The War for Independence was fought, among other reasons, based on the colonists’ legitimate grievance that they were being taxed without their consent. Today, however, we seem to enjoy paying through the nose to government at every turn. If we do not enjoy it, then why don’t we protest as our patriot forefathers did?

Apart from your annual graduated income tax payment, which is blatantly unconstitutional but accords perfectly with proposals in The Communist Manifesto, you pay dozens of other taxes. As noted, every time you pay for a driver’s license, pay to register your vehicle, pay the fine for a traffic violation, pay for a hunting or fishing license, or pay for the hunting tags you need on top of the license, you’re paying extra taxes. When you shop at the grocery store, you pay a hidden tax called inflation. Because of irresponsible spending and money-printing habits, our government has devalued our currency monstrously. Who pays the price when companies, to break even, hike product prices? You do. In every facet of life, you pay taxes to Government Almighty.

After reviewing the five points noted, it should be apparent to a greater extent how tyrannized we’ve become. We are wrapped up in government red tape and hounded by law enforcement henchmen who claim they are “just following orders.” If you dissent, you are called a rebel, a lunatic, a racist, a bigot, a Nazi, or any number of other fallacious slurs. Our forefathers were once called rebels and extremists, too. Yet, because they had the courage to do what was right and not just what was “legal,” they won this country and secured the Freedom we take for granted. The time is now to stand for what is right regardless of whether government bureaucrats have given you permission to do so.

Guns and God

“I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. – Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means.” – John Adams to Abigail Adams, July 3, 1776

Each mass shooting reminds us that we need more of two things: Guns and God. You have likely heard the saying that an armed society is a polite society. Years ago, I realized this concept needed to be amended thus: An armed and righteous society is a polite society. This article is a plea for us to add more guns and more God in our lives.

Guns or no guns, a God-fearing, decent, and righteous society will be one of peace, happiness, and security because “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12). Yet, because both evil and free will exist, even good, “turn-the-other-cheek” Christians must sometimes reluctantly take up arms to defend their Faith, Families, and Freedom. It has always been this way and it will remain the status quo until the Lord returns and cleanses the earth.

For all of history, patriots and prophets alike have had to wield the sword in defense of eternal truth, God-given rights, political Freedom, public morality, and societal stability. In ancient times, it was Jehovah’s peace-proclaiming prophets and the most righteous followers of the Gospel who were the first to stand up and fight for their rights. Whether you look at Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Elijah, Josiah, or any number of righteous figures of olden times, you find men willing to fight and to risk everything in defense of their rights, relatives, and religion.

Our honorable Founding Fathers also abhorred war and bloodshed, but they did their duty to God and their countrymen. They were great lovers of peace and knew the horrors of conflict. Yet, they also understood that it is better to die on your feet than live on your knees. Patrick Henry voiced their rallying cry in these treasured words, “give me liberty or give me death!” Consequently, they waged a holy war of self-defense against the British monarchists trying to subjugate them. If we are to vouchsafe to our own children the rights handed down to use by our forefathers, we must be equally prepared to fight.

The purpose of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was to plainly and publicly affirm that individuals possess the right of self-defense which no government can justly deprive them of. In truth, the Second Amendment is not even about guns – it is about self-defense. Whether you defend yourself with a club, machete, rifle, machine gun, or bazooka makes absolutely no difference. We focus on guns because they are the gold standard in personal self-defense, but we must never lose sight of the underlying principle of self-defense which existed before the Constitution was ratified and will exist for all eternity.

Our forefathers knew that a sure sign that a government had evil intentions to reduce its people to slavery was its attempts to disarm them. Accordingly, when the American colonists saw British Redcoats marching to Lexington and Concord to arrest Samuel Adams and confiscate their cache of firearms, they turned out with their rifles to defend their rights like real men. The “shot heard ‘round the world” happened because Christians with guns knew their rights and had the integrity to defend them at the risk of their own lives. Yes, American Liberty was won because a small band of armed Christians had enough valor to do what was required of them. They kept their guns close and their God closer.

Many Christians today believe that they cannot take up arms even in self-defense. They erroneously think it violates the Gospel of Jesus Christ to defend their rights against evil men. And they certainly do not agree with our Founding Fathers who believed that rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God. Though “timid men . . . prefer the calm of despotism to the boisterous sea of liberty” (Thomas Jefferson to Philip Mazzei, April 24, 1796), I, as a Christian constitutionalist, understand that there are times I must defend my Faith, Family, and Freedom even to bloodshed. In so doing, I stand with our Founding Fathers who proved their noble words by their valiant actions. And I stand with the laws of nature and of nature’s God.

One of the great exponents of natural law was John Locke. In his Second Treatise on Civil Government, Locke described the rationale behind the right of self-defense thus:

“Whosoever uses force without Right . . . puts himself into a state of War with those, against whom he so uses it, and in that state all former Ties are cancelled, all other Rights cease, and every one has a Right to defend himself, and to resist the Aggressor.”

Self-defense is the most natural of rights. It is the one right that ensures all the others. Our rights, emanating from God, cannot be justly taken from us. When an attempt is made to deprive us of any right, the right of self-defense becomes operative. We who have been wronged have every prerogative to resist aggressors and would-be tyrants. Yes, the surest way to protect our general Freedom is through self-defense. Therefore, when we see this precious gem assaulted, we know that we are in danger.

John Adams spoke of a People’s right of self-defense. As you read his words, please understand that a nation has no rights but those which are possessed also by the individual citizens comprising the nation. Every nation derives its powers, as The Declaration of Independence attests, “from the consent of the governed.” With that in mind, consider this statement:

“The right of a nation to kill a tyrant, in cases of necessity, can no more be doubted, than that to hang a robber, or kill a flea. But killing one tyrant only makes way for a worse, unless the people have sense, spirit, and honesty enough to establish and support a constitution guarded at all points against tyranny; against the tyranny of the one, the few, and the many. Let it be the study, therefore, of lawgivers and philosophers, to enlighten the people’s understandings and improve their morals, by good and general education; to enable them to comprehend the scheme of government, and to know upon what points their liberties depend; to dissipate those vulgar prejudices and popular superstitions that oppose themselves to good government; and to teach them that obedience to the laws is as indispensable in them as in lords and kings” (John Adams, “Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States,” 1787).

The right of an individual to kill a tyrant, robber, or aggressor, in cases of necessity, cannot be doubted. Our inspired Constitution has safeguarded our right of self-defense and tens of millions of Americans stand armed and ready to defend their Faith, Families, and Freedom. Yet, do we possess the morality, honesty, integrity, goodness, and righteousness necessary to balance and temper our arms? John Adams made it clear that improved morals must go hand-in-hand with the capacity and willingness to wage defensive war against tyrants and aggressors.

Speaking of the tyrannical forces encroaching upon our Liberty, the venerable Ezra Taft Benson stated:

“If America is to withstand these influences and trends, there must be a renewal of the spirit of our forefathers, an appreciation of the American way of life, a strengthening of muscle and sinew and the character of the nation. America needs guts as well as guns. National character is the core of national defense.”

Yes, we not only need our guns, but we need our God even more. Our moral character must be improved and cultivated as both Mr. Adams and Mr. Benson affirmed. We must become an armed and righteous society. Unless we cultivate morality at least proportionate to the number of arms we have, I fear that we will be led to turn our arms on each other in a scene of anarchy and mobocracy unrivaled in human history.

As Christians, we must lead the way to a peaceful resolution of societal differences, yet without sacrificing principle. Ours should be the loudest voices calling for peace, encouraging morality, promoting goodness, exposing corruption, and championing the Constitution. As Christians, we must show the world through our personal righteousness that an armed society really is a polite society. And, finally, Christians we must be the first to stand up in defense of Freedom – even, and perhaps especially, when it requires drawing the sword.

The Lord has not presently called His people, as a collective group, to wage war against the wicked. In fact, He tells us to proclaim peace. Yet, it is equally sure that Christians must be prepared to fight when the time comes. The moment of action may or may not come in the shape of a formal war. But it very well may come during the night as a thief attempts to plunder your home; during a worship service when a hate-filled assassin attempts to shoot up your congregation; in the office when a disgruntled employee seeks revenge; in the back alley when a rapist attempts to deprive you of your virtue; or on your drive home from work when a thug tries to victimize you. The point is that you never know when you will need to exercise your God-given right of self-defense; and you should always be prepared.

Millions of lives are saved each year because people care enough about themselves and their loved ones to keep and bear arms. How many more lives would be saved if more Americans carried weapons for their personal defense? How many families would today be enjoying the company of a loved one if they had only been prepared to defend themselves? How many more people have to die needlessly because employers and school administrators force their employees and students to be defenseless and helpless in the workplace and in the classroom? How long will America sit idly by as a small, ruthless clique campaigns to deprive us of our most important right, our right of self-defense?

In 1833, the great Joseph Story wrote that “the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a Republic” (see Story, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States). As the palladium, or safeguard, of our rights, the Second Amendment should hold a place of preeminence in our hearts. If it goes, our Freedom goes. And in order to properly wield the great power of arms placed in our hands, we must turn our hearts to God.

To counter criminals, evil people, and tyrants, we need more guns. We need more weapons in the workplace, in schools, in public, and everywhere there are people to be defended. And we need people trained in their competent use. Training at an early age breeds respect for the power and proper use of guns. The message that “guns are evil” only breeds fear and incompetence and, ultimately, leads to greater casualties and suffering.

Yes, I say that we need more guns in America! Yet, the proliferation of guns in our society will turn into a sore curse if we do not follow the commandments of Jesus Christ. If we are an immoral People, we will eventually be led to turn our firearms on each other in a fratricidal war. History proves this pattern as clear as any other. However, if we once again become a moral nation, our firearms will prove an extra safeguard on the evil passions and proclivities of unscrupulous men.

While most of us may not need to use our guns, doesn’t it give peace of mind to have them just in case? Which husband or father, or even wife or mother, would not rush to defend a beloved family member rather than watch them gunned down by the hand of evil? Who, in hindsight, would choose to be a helpless witness than a defender of innocence? Ezra Taft Benson once said something of the Lord’s law of chastity that is applicable to our conversation: “It is better to prepare and prevent than it is to repair and repent.”

Thankfully, we live in a nation established by Almighty God – a nation whose founding documents clearly safeguard our rights. Thankfully, we have a heritage of Freedom and can distinctly see the path marked by our forefathers. We have been given the right of self-defense, along with all other rights, and it is our solemn duty to make good use of it. How shameful it would be if we who have been given so many blessings, so much prosperity, and so much individual Liberty, threw it all away because we were not brave enough to defend ourselves and our families! Stand up and be men. Stand up and be Christians. Stand up for your rights!

In the wake of each new gun-related tragedy, the Establishment batters us with anti-rights propaganda in hopes will we grow so weary that we will surrender. The media flashes images of dead bodies and blood on our TV screens in order to shock and scare us into submission. Don’t fall for it. Don’t be victimized. Don’t be deceived by the masters of deceit. Stand for your Liberty no matter what pretext is used to persuade you to accept your chains. Know that you stand on the moral high ground when you stand with the Constitution. And keep your guns close and God even closer.

I leave you with these immortal words of Samuel Adams. It was a frank challenge to his countrymen at the outset of the War for Independence. Though he spoke more than 200 years ago, he might as well have been speaking to you and me. Ponder the words and decide once and for all whose side you’re on:

“Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, What should be the reward of such sacrifices? Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship, and plow, and sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom—go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”

Royal Sycophancy

This past weekend I watched in disgust as the news and social media lit up with chatter about the “royal wedding” of Prince Harry and his American bride Meghan Markle. News commentators gushed about how “beautiful” the event was. The hearts of millions of fawning young girls fluttered with excitement. And crowds around the world cheered and overflowed with emotion. What is wrong with the psyche of America when your average person gushes over a “royal wedding” in a foreign land?

There are many things that could be said about the British Royal Family. For instance, I could discuss the rampant pedophilia and Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) that goes on among them behind closed doors. I could cite the book Dope, Inc. and reveal the Royal Family’s involvement in the world-wide opium industry. I could even stoop to talking about the Royal Family’s recent, and possibly continued, use of a “groom of the stool” (I’ll leave that to you to investigate). No, this article won’t be about the Royal Family. Rather, I want to discuss the problem of Americans fawning over the notion of royalty and why this is an omen of dark days to come.

In 1776, our forefathers rebelled against the British Crown, declaring Independence for the new American states. On July 9, 1776, the inspired words of the Declaration of Independence were read to the crowds in New York. So captivated with feelings of Liberty were they that the crowds promptly marched to Manhattan and tore down and demolished a statue of King George III. The statue was later melted down and made into musket balls which were used to shoot invading British Red Coats.

This story depicts the true American feeling towards royalty. Real Americans will have no king over them. Real Americans love self-rule and submit only to the dictates of one King – the King of Heaven. Thomas Paine, who is often erroneously called an atheist, wrote in his classic Common Sense:

“But where says some is the King of America? I’ll tell you Friend, he reigns above, and doth not make havoc of mankind like the Royal Brute of Britain.”

Yes, the only King of America is Christ the Lord, the King of kings. Our forefathers acknowledged His right to rule. They endeavored to establish America as a free and Christian society – a shining city on a hill and beacon of hope, virtue, and Liberty to mankind.

In an Independence Day oration in 1837, John Quincy Adams similarly stated:

“A moral Ruler of the Universe – the Governor and Controller of all human power – is the only unlimited sovereign acknowledged by the Declaration of Independence.”

Only God is acknowledged as the superintending power in the United States – and this in our nation’s first official document! Perhaps both of these great men took their lead from ancient Gideon who, when asked by Israel to rule over them, replied:

“I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the Lord shall rule over you” (Judges 8:23).

Finishing his earlier thought, Paine explained:

“Yet that we may not appear to be defective even in earthly honors, let a day be solemnly set apart for proclaiming the charter; let it be brought forth placed on the divine law, the word of God; let a crown be placed thereon, by which the world may know, that so far as we approve of monarchy, that in America the law is king. For as in absolute governments the king is law, so in free countries the law ought to be king; and there ought to be no other. But lest any ill use should afterwards arise, let the crown at the conclusion of the ceremony be demolished, and scattered among the people whose right it is.”

Let the crown of supposed “royalty” be demolished! The People – and only the People – have the right to establish their own laws and rule themselves.

Fortunately for us, our wise Founding Fathers submitted their finite will to God’s wisdom and were inspired to create and forge a Republic of unequaled Freedom, prosperity, happiness, security, influence, and opportunity. The U.S. Constitution is the embodiment of the principles of Liberty and is the most sacred relic our forefathers handed down to us. Article 1, Section 9, Clause 8 of that document states: “No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States.”

Thus, it is a canonized, official part of our government that there shall be no nobility in America. The concept of royalty was repugnant to our noble Founding Fathers. They fought against would-be kings and refuted the notion that one segment of society was destined to lord over the rest.

It should always be remembered that it was the monarchists and elitists they waged their War of Independence against. If the British Royal Family had its way, the United States would have never been born and you would be even today a subject of Britain.

You would absolutely not enjoy the rights secured under the U.S. Constitution, nor the wealth provided by the American free enterprise system, nor the protection of just laws and honorable men who cherish their God-given right to keep and bear arms. If the Royal Family had their way, you would be a slave.

It was against elitists who fancied themselves “royalty” that our patriot forefathers fought. American blood was spilled because the British Royal Family wanted to keep us in chains. The War of 1812 was waged for the same reason and by the same forces of evil.

It was against this same clique of elitists inside the United States that Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Andrew Jackson, and others battled on the monumental issue of a national bank. Unfortunately, the Americans living in 1913 lost that battle and the Federal Reserve monstrosity exists as a parasite sucking the lifeblood out of this nation.

This same war has always been fought between the forces of Freedom and the sponsors of tyranny. Throughout history, tyranny has all too often taken the form of a monarchy, such as the British Royal Family represents. These monarchies, led by self-professed demigods and self-absorbed elitists, have done little more than oppress mankind, stifle growth, and impede the course of Freedom.

Stand Your Ground

The patriots of 1776, however, struck a blow against the British Royals and gave America a reprieve from monarchical tyranny. They provided us the opportunity of self-government and Liberty. They suffered, sacrificed, and spilled their blood so that we would be free of the suffocating influence of the British Royal Family. Yet, today Americans gush over “royalty” and follow every detail of the British monarchists’ lives. Our forefathers would be rolling in their graves if they could witness this shameful, sycophantic spectacle.

The ever colorful John Adams once wrote:

“Posterity! You will never know, how much it cost the present Generation, to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make a good Use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it” (John Adams to Abigail Adams, April 26, 1777).

Indeed, what have we done with our bounty of Freedom so graciously secured for us by our patriot forefathers?

On Independence Day, 1798, Noah Webster gave a speech in which he stated:

“[O]ur fathers were men – they were heroes and patriots – they fought – they conquered – and they bequeathed to us a rich inheritance of liberty and empire, which we have no right to surrender.”

Yet, surrender we have. Today, some “Americans” wish we had a king. Millions grovel at the foot of the federal government petitioning for handouts and favors like any peasant of the feudal age. With my own ears, I heard a professor at Brigham Young University-Provo declare that the “divine right of kings” was not only approved by the holy scriptures, but that we should have a king in America. What’s worse, some of my fellow students in the class voiced their agreement and approval. The sickness of royal sycophancy is spreading.

Think of how polarized the United States has become. This divide is never more visible than in an election year. In almost every election, we hear the cry of “rigged” from the losing side. Two years after her defeat, Hillary Clinton is still telling interviewers that Donald Trump rigged the election and she should be the rightful ruler of America. And make no bones about it, Clinton is an elitist who sees herself as a ruler, not a servant of the People.

The crowds have developed a sycophantic allegiance to their favorite candidates, whether Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, or Bernie Sanders. They act fanatical in their support of these individuals who, in their eyes, can do no wrong and represent all that is good. The opposing sides are closing ranks and digging in. Both sides are so embittered and hate-filled that they have come to blows more than once. Soon, there will be no chance of even having an open and free dialogue and only compulsion will decide things.

Judging from history, these terrible trends portend severe strife and very possibly civil war. It is altogether conceivable, for instance, that a losing candidate in a national election could reject the vote tally, assert that he was cheated in a rigged election, declare himself king, and have half the population follow him. It sounds outlandish in the 21st Century, yet it has happened in the past so many times that we would be foolish to dismiss the very real possibility.

Yes, we live in an age of demigods and cults of personality. Rule of law means virtually nothing. The U.S. Constitution is all but forgotten. States have lost their sovereignty and the federal government is run like a dictatorship with the president wielding extreme and unlawful amounts of power. And the American heritage of opposing the British Royal Family and monarchists and tyrants of all stripes has fallen by the way side.

If the Prince Harry’s and Meghan’s “Royal Wedding” is any indication, the American People are ripening for servitude to the first person bold enough to declare himself a king. The first Caesar bold enough to march his legions across the American Rubicon might just gain himself a kingdom, and bequeath to the American People thralldom. I pray, however, that if that dark day ever comes, the characteristic American spirit will revive and we will repeat the glorious days of 1776 when King George III was toppled and Independence from tyrants was declared before the eyes of the world. My Essential Liberty Trumps Your So-Called Safety

“They who can give up essential Liberty to obtain a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” – Benjamin Franklin, February 17, 1775

The tragic Parkland, Florida school shooting has once again raised the demonic specter of gun control and has stirred people into a mindless and frenzied hysteria against our God-given Liberty and the Constitution which protects it. I want to speak bluntly in this article. I want to refocus this debate on the real issue at play; namely, on our rights. Personal feelings, personal opinions, personal fears and paranoia, all must bow before the exalted throne of individual rights.

Our individual rights are given to us by God. They do not come from man. They do not come from society. They are not granted by government. They are not granted by the U.S. Constitution or Declaration of Independence. They are not subject to the whims or opinions of the majority. They are not subject to elections or votes. They are not subject to populist passions. They are not dependent upon the president’s or Supreme Court’s support. They are inalienable, sacred, and undeniable for those who live peaceably and do not violate the equal rights of others.

The great Thomas Jefferson defined Liberty thus:

“[R]ightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will, within the limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’; because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual” (Thomas Jefferson to Isaac H. Tiffany, April 4, 1819).

Liberty is an individual’s right to “unobstructed action.” The only restriction placed upon an individual’s right to act without obstruction is the violation of another’s equal rights. Let’s demonstrate this principle with an example. While you have a right to life, if you murder – thus violating another’s equal right to life – you forfeit your right to the same. And so on and so forth. Unless an individual has violated another person’s rights, his actions cannot be restrained, curtailed, obstructed, or punished by legitimate law. And any law which would limit a person’s Liberty for any reason and because of any pretext is nothing but “the tyrant’s will” and is itself a gross violation of the very notion of Freedom. And it is an explicit violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Inasmuch as government does not grant us rights, government cannot then restrict or curtail those rights unless you have forfeited them by violating another individual’s rights. Our Founding Fathers understood this concept and codified it in the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution. The Declaration of Independence declares that the power and authority of the People supersedes any government or constitution. It plainly stated:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.”

To “secure these rights” – rights such as life, Liberty, and the right of self-defense – is the chief function of all legitimate government. When a government violates those rights, the People have not only a right but a duty to “alter or to abolish” that government and erect new laws or forms of government that will best secure their natural rights and Liberties. Government’s job, then, is not to give you a “safe space” or to tuck you in at night and sing you lullabies. The state’s job is not to rock your cradle, hold your hand, and keep you “safe.” The government’s sole job is to secure each individual’s God-given rights against all threats foreign and domestic.

The U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights is a list of “thou shalt nots” directed at government. For instance, the government shall not infringe upon the individual’s God-given right of self-defense. That is explicitly stated in the 2nd Amendment. The other amendments similarly use terms like “shall not” and “shall” to restrain government and protect the individual.

The 2nd Amendment, contrary to popular belief, has nothing to do with guns. Firearms is not the issue. Rather, this precious amendment has everything to do with self-defense. Every honest person will admit that individuals have an inherent right to defend themselves, their property, their family, and their rights. Without this overarching right of self-defense, no other right could ever be secured. What does the right of property mean without the right to defend it against those who would steal or plunder? What does the right of life mean without the means of self-defense? By using simple logic and rational thinking we come to the obvious conclusion that the right of self-defense is the most important right, for, without it, our other rights don’t matter and are not secure.

If what I have just said is true, then it is also true to state that any infringement of the Second Amendment is a blow against our safety. It cannot be otherwise. If the right of self-defense is the right that defends all others, to infringe it infringes automatically upon all other rights. Ignorant students and rabid activists like the characteristically communist David Hogg only think with their emotions and aren’t informed enough to understand what Liberty is and what the Constitution says. Their knee-jerk reaction is that which they have been indoctrinated in public schools and by the controlled Establishment media to perform.

Instead of immediately rushing to defend our rights in the aftermath of a tragedy, they immediately rush to destroy our rights just so they can feel safer in their bed at night. This attitude is tyrannical in the extreme. We are a nation of mini tyrants with each person waltzing on the other’s rights whenever it suits them or whenever they feel afraid of some bogeyman the media can make appear, such as the myth of the “white Christian conservative with an AR about ready to shoot up the local school.” We live in an era of fear-based politics and paranoia rules the day.

If you support any form of the curtailment of the right of self-defense – gun restrictions, national data bases, waiting periods, licensing, attachment bans, mandatory screenings, ad infinitum – you, sir, are a tyrant. You stand in opposition to the Constitution. You stand opposed to the Founding Fathers – great men like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. You are at war with Freedom. And you are at war with the Author of that Freedom, the God who rules in the Heavens. In short, you are an enemy to the Republic if you favor any legislation, policy, program, ruling, or executive order designed to restrict, even in the slightest, our natural right to defend ourselves, our families, our Freedom, and our faith.

In short, my essential Liberty trumps in every imaginable way your so-called need to feel safe. Liberty trumps safety every time. Secured Liberty is true safety. My God-given rights trump your insecurities and paranoia. My Freedom surpasses and exceeds your desire for calm and safety.

The great Thomas Jefferson declared:

“[A]ll timid men . . . prefer the calm of despotism to the boisterous sea of liberty” (Thomas Jefferson to Philp Mazzei, April 24, 1796).

Another time, he accurately wrote:

“The boisterous sea of liberty is never without a wave” (Thomas Jefferson to Richard Rush, October 20, 1820).

Anyone who thinks things will always be tranquil and calm is ignorant of reality and is guilty of wishful thinking. Life will never be calm. There will always be boisterous waves, tempests of thought, contention and differences. Until the Lord returns to reign, this world will be one of disagreement and tempestuous convulsions. We must not react to these bumps in the road by restricting the one thing that could ultimately see us through the storm safely – our Liberty.

Liberty must be the paramount issue. When a mass shooting occurs, our first instinct must be to defend Liberty against rash emotionalism and knee-jerk reactionism. Only by securing our rights – crucially, the right of self-defense – can we be safe. If you can only feel “safe” by destroying another person’s Freedom and the right to defend himself and his family, you have a serious problem. If this is your attitude and proposed solution to the perceived problem of violence, you are not only ignorant of reality, but you are an enemy to Liberty. You see the world through a tainted lens. You are living in fear. You have no respect for Liberty or the Constitution.

Please, be a true friend to the Constitution. Be a friend to Freedom. Be a friend to our God-given rights. Unite with those who want to be freemen rather than slaves, to be self-sufficient rather than rely upon the government for everything, including their personal safety. Unite against the demagogues and despots who want to subjugate you and your family and who use the corpses of school children as talking points to push their sick agenda. Choose the right side and you will have friends. Choose the wrong side and reap eternal infamy and bring shame upon your country.

I close by repeating that my essential Liberty, my individual rights, my right to defend my family and Freedom, trump your need to feel “safe.” When you sacrifice Liberty on the altar of safety, you sacrifice everything. Liberty must not be sacrificed to quiet the fears of a paranoid and insecure segment of society or the demigods in government who bite at every opportunity to increase their power and wrap chains around the American People.

“Take the Firearms First, and Then Go to Court”

Tyranny: “Arbitrary or despotic exercise of power; the exercise of power over subjects and others with a rigor not authorized by law or justice, or not requisite for the purposes of government.” – Webster’s 1828 Dictionary.

On February 28, 2018, President Donald Trump talked to reporters about guns as they relate to people with mental illness or instability. In these cases, he said: “Take the firearms first, and then go to court . . . Take the guns first; go through due process second.” This is a truly stunning and tyrannical statement! In making this remark, President Trump showed his true colors as an enemy to the Constitution and to the Liberty of all Americans. His words betray the fact, as some of us were bold enough to point out in 2016, that his sudden “conversion” from lifelong liberal to Liberty-loving “conservative” prior to the election was not genuine.

In his book The America We Deserve, Donald Trump wrote: “I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun.”

For those of you who are pro-2nd Amendment, yet supported Trump, ask yourself: Did you know that Trump was anti-gun and had proposed an assault weapons ban? Likely, you were only told what Trump said so loudly during his election posturing, which was: “I promise you one thing, if I run for president and if I win, the Second Amendment will be totally protected, that I can tell you.” Those who heard Trump make these and similar declarations and believed them were conned by an expert conman.

How can a person simultaneously support the 2nd Amendment and yet be pro-weapons bans? He cannot. To support weapons bans of any sort flies in the face of the plain wording of the 2nd Amendment. The only assumption we can therefore logically make is that Donald Trump was lying. Was he lying about his support for an assault weapons ban or was he lying about his support for the 2nd Amendment? Recent developments confirm that he was lying about his support of the 2nd Amendment.

In the wake of the tragic Parkland, Florida school shooting – a shooting that only happened because police and FBI agents were grossly negligent and criminally derelict in their duties, and because Nikolas Cruz had been placed on mind-altering anti-depressants  – President Trump threw aside his pro-Constitution façade and fell into lockstep with the likes of socialist Dianne Feinstein and other rabid anti-Americans.

President Trump has proposed at least four separate measures that would violate the 2nd Amendment. These are:

  1. He has proposed banning bump stocks
  2. He has proposed a longer waiting period for purchasing firearms
  3. He has proposed to raise the minimum age a person can buy a firearm
  4. He has proposed to ban so-called assault weapons

Each of these measures is blatantly and flagrantly anti-2nd Amendment, not to mention anti-common sense and anti-human experience. Let us examine each of these points briefly.

First, President Trump has threatened to sign an executive order banning bump stocks and said they will be “gone” shortly. For those who do not know what a bump stock is, I quote from a Reason article:

“Bump stocks are accessories that increase a rifle’s rate of fire by harnessing recoil energy to help the shooter slide the weapon back and forth against his trigger finger.”

In other words, bump stocks – though severely decreasing the accuracy of a weapon – increase a semi-automatic weapon’s rate of fire, making it essentially a fully automatic weapon. Trump wants to ban these useful accessories in accordance with his hatred of “assault weapons.” The only things this ban would do would be to put the American People at a severe disadvantage to the military if their government ever decided to enforce its tyranny at the barrel of the gun, and to put law-abiding people at a disadvantage to evil people who would circumvent the law and seek to harm them or their families.

Second, the president wants you and me to wait longer to purchase a weapon. The logic behind this move dictates that a longer waiting period will give the government a greater chance – through background checks – of catching a person who harbors ill intent. Needless to say, this is no logic at all. Most of the “mass shooters” in recent years had no criminal records. They would have passed a background check with flying colors. Thus, the only people who would be affected are the law-abiding citizens who would be denied their right to possess a means of self-defense simply so that lawmakers and ignorant people could delude themselves into thinking the world is sunshine and rainbows.

Third, Trump wants to increase the minimum age required to purchase a firearm. Under this ridiculously faulty logic, someone would be able to vote and buy cigarettes, but not purchase a gun for self-defense. This is an absurd violation of the 2nd Amendment.

Fourth, in violation of his solemn oath to defend the Constitution, President Trump wants to violate the 2nd Amendment and ban what he calls “assault weapons.” Simply, the 2nd Amendment says that the right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.” Period. Shall not be infringed. Not by Trump, not by Obama, not by any body of lawmakers in Washington, your state capitol, or the United Nations.

Truthfully, the issue at hand is not one of guns. Guns are irrelevant to the debate. The issue is whether you or I have a right to self-defense. If I have a right to self-defense, then it matters not whether I use an automatic weapon, a semi-automatic weapon, a shotgun, a handgun, a baseball bat, a knife, a machete, a chainsaw, or a Sherman Tank. The means of self-defense is wholly irrelevant. If self-defense is a right – as it is – it cannot justly be infringed, restricted, or taken away by anyone, for any reason, at any time. Anyone who would restrict or infringe that right is a tyrant and an enemy.

The best handbook on the true nature, substance, and intent of the 2nd Amendment is The Second Amendment Primer: A Citizen’s Guidebook to the History, Sources, and Authorities for the Constitutional Guarantee of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms written by Les Adams and published by Palladium Press. In its pages, you find gems about the right of self-defense such as the following:

“To disarm the people [is] the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” – George Mason

“That the people have a right to bear arms for the defence of themselves and their own state, or the United States, or for the purpose of killing game; and no law shall be passed for disarming the people or any of them, unless for crimes committed, or real danger of public injury from individuals” – Minority of the Pennsylvania Convention, December 12, 1787

“The right of bearing arms – which with us is not limited and restrained by an arbitrary system of game laws as in England; but, is particularly enjoyed by every citizen, and is among his most valuable privileges, since it furnishes the means of resisting as a freeman ought, the inroads of usurpation.

“Now the natural right of self defence is nothing more than the liberty which the law of nature allows us of defending ourselves from an attack which is made upon our persons or of taking such measures as may guard against any injuries we are likely to suffer from another. . . .

“. . . [A]s the law of nature allows us to defend ourselves, and imposes no limit upon the right, the only limit we can impose is the necessity of the case.” – Henry St. George Tucker

“The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a Republic.” – Joseph Story

“[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.” – Tench Coxe in the Pennsylvania Gazette, February 20, 1788.

Every honest man cherishes the right of self-defense and embraces the duty he has to defend not only his country, his rights, and his Liberty, but his family, home, and possessions. The Founding Fathers, being real men, understood and accepted this right. They instituted constitutional safeguards to ensure this right of self-defense would remain “in the hands of the people.” I, too, pray to God that no tyrant in the White House, Congress, or Supreme Court will ever steal that right from the American People and that, if it does happen, the American People will not tolerate it and acquiesce to their own enslavement.

God gave man a right to own private property, a right to live, a right to pursue his goals, a right to worship, a right to privacy, and a host of additional rights and privileges. Consider for a moment how ineffectual and pointless all of these rights would be without the parallel right to defend them. Without a right to defend my home and my property, I could never be secure and Liberty would be a figment of imagination. Without the right of self-defense, Freedom does not exist. Freedom cannot logically exist without a means to safeguard it from infringement and oppression.

Our wise Founding Fathers understood this sacred principle and wrote into the Bill of Rights an explicit guarantee that an individual’s right of self-defense “shall not be infringed.” “Shall not” is not a suggestion – it is a direct and explicit order. When President Trump put his hand on the Bible and swore his oath of office to Heaven and to the American People, he swore to defend all our God-given rights in their entirety. He swore to uphold the Constitution which protects an individual’s right of self-defense and forbids the government from infringing upon it. Yet, in proposing to ban certain weapons and accessories and increase waiting times and minimum age limits, he utterly violated his oath to God and the American People. He has come out in open rebellion to our Liberty. President Donald J. Trump is a tyrant.

Not only do President Trump’s proposals violate the 2nd Amendment’s explicit language guarding our right to defend ourselves by any means necessary, but he has assaulted the Fourth and Fifth Amendments as well. In proposing to confiscate guns first and go to court later, President Trump is throwing out the entire notion of due process. Due process is the bulwark of the entire Bill of Rights. Without the right to due process, citizens would be at the mercy of every whim of government. Yet, as it is, the Founding Fathers, in their foresight and wisdom, wrote guarantees of due process into the Bill of Rights.

The 4th Amendment states:

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

The 5th Amendment states:

“No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

Let’s analyze these two amendments briefly. The Fourth Amendment guarantees our right to privacy, along with the right to not have our person, homes, or property searched or seized without a warrant and without probable cause supported by an oath of accuracy. In other words, our property and persons cannot be searched or seized for any reason “without due process.” This right “shall not be violated.” Yet, what did President Trump say? He said, “Take the firearms first, and then go to court.” Trump’s philosophy is 180 degrees opposite of what the Fourth Amendment affirms so plainly. His philosophy is the exact opposite of that espoused by our Founding Fathers. Our forefathers were true patriots – Donald Trump is not.

Similarly, the Fifth Amendment clearly states that “without due process” no person shall be deprived of their life, Liberty, or property; property such as a firearm or a firearm accessory. “Without due process” is very straightforward language. It offers no wiggle room. Unless someone is an immediate, imminent danger to another person, to deprive him of his rights, life, or property “without due process” is utterly tyrannical and evil.

To summarize these two amendments, our life, Liberty, and property shall not be searched or taken from us “without due process,” without a warrant, without an oath affirming the accuracy of the information against us, and without a judge’s signature approving the measures. If police have legitimate evidence that a person is unstable or dangerous, or that they are making threats or pose a legitimate danger to others and their rights, they may take that evidence to a judge who will, upon presentation of credible evidence and testimony, issue a legal warrant. With this warrant, a person and his property may be either searched or seized. With an additional trial to confirm the evidence, the man may later be imprisoned or fined or have his property taken. Without this due process, a person – no matter how “dangerous” or “unstable” he may appear or actually be – shall not have his rights violated nor his means of self-defense taken from him.

The fact that President Donald Trump, like so many presidents before him, wants to do away with due process and an individual’s right to defend himself shows his utter lack of knowledge of the Constitution and of Liberty. It shows his antipathy towards our God-given rights. It shows his disdain for the Constitution and the good men who crafted it. And it perhaps shows his future intentions regarding American Freedom.

If you support gun bans, you oppose Liberty, the U.S. Constitution, and the Founding Fathers. If you support any of the measures President Trump has proposed, you support direct infringements of the 2nd Amendment and you are no true advocate of the Bill of Rights. If you support taking away a person’s rights, without due process, simply because they appear to you to be “mentally unstable,” you are by definition a tyrant.

May we ever defend our God-given right to self-defense against all infringement. May we ever cherish our God-given right to privacy and to the security of our property and persons against government intrusion. May we ever support the U.S. Constitution which was established by wise men acting under the inspiration of Almighty God. May we ever defend our precious Liberty against all enemies, even – and, indeed, especially – when they sit in the White House.
