Departed Apostle – A Tribute to M. Russell Ballard

“The Lord Jesus Christ is our most precious of all gifts from God.” – President M. Russell Ballard, “Precious Gifts from God,” General Conference, April, 2018. 

President M. Russell Ballard graduated from mortality to eternity on November 12, 2023. The last time I heard him speak during the October General Conference of this year, I had the feeling he was saying goodbye. This news, though sad, was not unexpected for the 95-year-old servant of the Lord. He is now in a far better world and reunited with his wife and Savior. Today, I pay him tribute, give him thanks for his decades of selfless service in the cause of truth, and highlight two of the most significant doctrines he taught. 

President Ballard was the acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an ordained apostle of the Lord. He was called by revelation into the apostleship on October 6, 1985. He had been a member of the Quorum of the Twelve from before the time I was born. 

Others will write biographies of this great man. I wish to focus on his teachings and testimonies, focusing predominately on his later years because it can be presumed that what a man believes at the end of his life is a better gauge of his heart. 

Above all, an apostle is a witness for Jesus Christ. President Ballard bore his witness of the Savior frequently and fervently. It is fitting, therefore, to quote from the three most profound statements President Ballard ever made. I refer to the words of three proclamation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which he helped draft and which he signed. The first we will quote is called “The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles” and reads in part: 

“As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice. None other has had so profound an influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth. . . . 

“We testify that He will someday return to earth. “And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together” (Isaiah 40:5). He will rule as King of Kings and reign as Lord of Lords, and every knee shall bend and every tongue shall speak in worship before Him. Each of us will stand to be judged of Him according to our works and the desires of our hearts. 

“We bear testimony, as His duly ordained Apostles—that Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son.” 

One of the other proclamations that has been so impactful is “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” published in 1995. Among the many superlative truths about gender, identity, traditional family roles, proper sexuality, and more, we find this statement: 

“The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities. By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children.” 

The most recent proclamation is titled “The Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: A Bicentennial Proclamation to the World.” In it, the Lord’s then living Apostles, including President Ballard, testified: 

“We solemnly proclaim that God loves His children in every nation of the world. God the Father has given us the divine birth, the incomparable life, and the infinite atoning sacrifice of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. By the power of the Father, Jesus rose again and gained the victory over death. He is our Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer. . . . 

“We declare that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, organized on April 6, 1830, is Christ’s New Testament Church restored. This Church is anchored in the perfect life of its chief cornerstone, Jesus Christ, and in His infinite Atonement and literal Resurrection. Jesus Christ has once again called Apostles and has given them priesthood authority. He invites all of us to come unto Him and His Church, to receive the Holy Ghost, the ordinances of salvation, and to gain enduring joy. . . . 

“With reverence and gratitude, we as His Apostles invite all to know—as we do—that the heavens are open. We affirm that God is making known His will for His beloved sons and daughters. We testify that those who prayerfully study the message of the Restoration and act in faith will be blessed to gain their own witness of its divinity and of its purpose to prepare the world for the promised Second Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” 

Beautiful words. President Ballard continuously raised his voice to support the declarations in all three proclamations and was proud to place his name on paper affirming them. 

In his October 2021 General Conference talk ““Lovest Thou Me More Than These?”,” President Ballard gave this additional witness: 

“As one of the Apostles who signed “The Living Christ” document, I can say that knowing that Jesus “is the light, the life, and the hope of the world”6 gives me a greater desire to love Him more every day. 

“I testify that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. I testify that They love us. The scriptures teach that “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The scriptures also teach that Jesus “so loved the world that he gave his own life, that as many as would believe might become the sons [and daughters] of God.” . . . . 

“. . . We need to believe in Jesus and in God’s plan of happiness. To believe is to love and follow our Savior and keep the commandments, even in the midst of trials and strife. . . . 

“We cannot lose our love for and hope in Jesus, even if we face seemingly overwhelming challenges. Heavenly Father and Jesus will never forget us. They love us. . . . 

“We must always remember that our true happiness depends upon our relationship with God, with Jesus Christ, and with each other.” 

This excerpt contains one of the major motifs of President Ballard’s ministry; namely, that our Heavenly Father and Savior know and love us. President Ballard knew, as do I, that we are the literal children of God – His spirit sons and daughters. We are reconciled with Him and may return back to Him one day through our Redeemer. It is crucial to know our identity and to know how we may become one with God – through Jesus Christ. 

In his April 2021 General Conference “Hope in Christ”, President Ballard spoke further of our identity as sons and daughters of God and the Lord’s ability to bless us and fulfill our purest dreams when we hope and trust in him: 

“Because we are the spirit children of God, everyone has a divine origin, nature, and potential. Each of us “is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents.” This is our identity! This is who we really are! . . . . 

“This sense of spiritual and cultural identity, love, and belonging can inspire hope and love for Jesus Christ. 

“I speak of hope in Christ not as wishful thinking. Instead, I speak of hope as an expectation that will be realized. Such hope is essential to overcoming adversity, fostering spiritual resilience and strength, and coming to know that we are loved by our Eternal Father and that we are His children, who belong to His family. 

“When we have hope in Christ, we come to know that as we need to make and keep sacred covenants, our fondest desires and dreams can be fulfilled through Him. . . . 

“Waiting upon the Lord implies action. I have learned over the years that our hope in Christ increases when we serve others. Serving as Jesus served, we naturally increase our hope in Him. 

“The personal growth one can achieve now while waiting upon the Lord and His promises is an invaluable, sacred element of His plan for each one of us. . . . 

“Never forget that you are a child of God, our Eternal Father, now and forever. He loves you, and the Church wants and needs you. Yes, we need you! We need your voices, talents, skills, goodness, and righteousness. . . . 

“I bear my witness on this Easter weekend of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the eternal hope He gives me and all who believe in His name. And I bear this testimony humbly in His sacred name, even Jesus Christ, amen.” 

As children of Elohim, Jesus is our Advocate, our Lord, and our hope. He is our only hope. We must look to Him in faith and follow Him wherever He leads. Everything hinges upon our obedience to His word. 

In his second-to-last General Conference address aptly titled “Remember What Matters Most,” President Ballard said: 

“Faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of our testimonies. A testimony is a witness or confirmation of eternal truth impressed upon individual hearts and souls through the Holy Ghost. A testimony of Jesus Christ, born of and strengthened by the Spirit, changes lives—it changes the way we think and how we live. A testimony turns us toward our Heavenly Father and His divine Son. . . . 

“Having a testimony alone is not enough. As our conversion to Jesus Christ grows, we naturally want to testify of Him—His goodness, love, and kindness. . . .  

“I invite you to bear your testimony of Jesus Christ more often. Bear testimony of what you know and believe and what you feel, not just of what you are thankful for. Testify of your own experiences of coming to know and love the Savior, of living His teachings, and of His redemptive and enabling power in your life. As you bear testimony of what you know, believe, and feel, the Holy Ghost will confirm the truth to those who earnestly listen to your testimony. They will do so because they have watched you become a peaceful follower of Jesus Christ. They will see what it means to be His disciple. They will also feel something they may not have felt before. A pure testimony comes from a changed heart and can be carried by the power of the Holy Ghost into the hearts of others who are open to receive it. 

“Those who feel something as a result of your testimony may then ask the Lord in prayer to confirm the truth of your testimony. Then they can know for themselves. 

“Brothers and sisters, I testify and witness to you that I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. He lives. He is the resurrected Son of God, and this is His Church, led by His prophet and apostles. I pray that someday when I pass to the next world, I may do so with my testimony burning brightly.” 

I have no doubt that President Ballard’s testimony burned brightly as he passed into immortality and glory. He tirelessly witnessed of Jesus Christ and pointed us to Him. He urged us and pleaded with us to come to our Savior. 

As a logical outgrowth of his anchoring love for Jesus Christ, President Ballard had an ardent love for the Prophet Joseph Smith, about whom he routinely spoke. President Ballard was the great-great-grandson of Hyrum Smith, the brother of Joseph Smith and, at the end of his life, co-president-prophet with him of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. President Ballard’s passion for declaring to the world that Joseph Smith was called by Jesus Christ to restore His Church was personal.  

In his 1991 address “The Family of the Prophet Joseph Smith,” President Ballard said: 

“Each person who has a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ should love and appreciate Joseph Smith, Jr., for he is “the Prophet and Seer of the Lord, [who] has done more, save Jesus only, for the salvation of men in this world, than any other man that ever lived in it.” (D&C 135:3.) . . . . 

“The Lord foreordained his father, Joseph Smith, Sr., who is spoken of in the holy scriptures, to be one of the earthly parents of the Prophet. Joseph of Egypt prophesied that the latter-day seer whom God would raise up to do his work would be “called Joseph” (JST, Gen. 50:33), and his name would “be after the name of his father” (2 Ne. 3:15). The heavenly messenger Moroni admonished young Joseph to go to his father following a glorious night of sacred instruction. In Joseph’s words, this messenger “commanded me to go to my father and tell him of the vision and commandments which I had received. I obeyed; I returned to my father in the field, and rehearsed the whole matter to him. He replied to me that it was of God, and told me to go and do as commanded by the messenger.” (JS—H 1:49–50.) 

“Joseph Smith, Sr., was in tune with the Spirit of the Lord. He knew that his young son spoke the truth. He not only believed the boy’s words but encouraged him in the work he had been called to do. 

“Joseph, Sr., endured ridicule and persecution because of his prophet son’s experiences and claims. Yet, he was unwavering in his loving support and defended his son. . . . 

“I bear humble witness that Joseph Smith is one of the great, noble ones to come to the earth. He and his brother Hyrum deserve our honor, respect, and gratitude as do other members of their family who assisted with the restoration of the fulness of the gospel . . . Jesus, our Lord and Savior, stands at the head of the Church. Our Heavenly Father lives and watches over each of His children. To this I humbly testify, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.” 

In 1994, President Ballard bore a similar witness in “Restored Truth”: 

“My dear friends, I testify to you that this is true and that the Father and the Son appeared in wondrous vision to young Joseph as a step in the restoring of the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. Through subsequent, equally miraculous experiences, Joseph Smith was God’s instrument in 

  • Translating from ancient records a book of scripture, the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, 
  • Restoring priesthood authority, 
  • Restoring sealing keys to turn the hearts of the children to the fathers, 
  • Establishing the restored church of Jesus Christ in these latter days with the fulness of the gospel as taught in the meridian of time by the Savior and His Apostles, 
  • Fulfilling biblical prophecy, 
  • Preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ. 

“. . . either the gospel has been restored or it has not. Either the Savior’s original church and its doctrine were lost or they were not. Either Joseph Smith had that remarkable vision or he did not. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ or it is not. Either the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to earth through God’s chosen latter-day prophet or it was not. 

“The truth really is not any more complicated than that. Either these things happened just as I have testified or they did not. As a latter-day Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, my testimony, and the testimony of millions of faithful members of the Church the world over, is that what I have told you this morning is true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been restored to the earth through Joseph Smith and is administered today by a living prophet. These things I know!” 

President Ballard never wavered. In his final General Conference sermon just over one month before he walked through the veil into the world of spirits, President Ballard devoted his witness to the Prophet Joseph Smith, entitling it “Praise to the Man.” In it, he affirmed: 

“I’d like to share with you some things that have been in my mind. I have seemed to have the Prophet Joseph in my mind the last few months. I’ve sat and contemplated his glorious responsibility in becoming the prophet of this, the dispensation of the fulness of times. . . . 

“Because Jesus, our Savior and our Redeemer, spoke to the boy Joseph and opened up this dispensation of time that we now live in, we sing, “Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah!” (“Praise to the Man,” Hymns, no. 27). We thank the Lord for Joseph Smith and for his courage to go into that grove of trees in 1820, near his home in Palmyra, New York. 

“I’ve been thinking about all of the marvelous things that we know and all of the things that we have. My beloved brothers and sisters, my testimony to you this morning is how abundantly blessed we are to know all that we know because we have Joseph Smith, the prophet of this last dispensation of time. . . . 

“I think it’s one of the most glorious and wonderful things that anybody in this world can know—that our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ have revealed Themselves in this latter day and that Joseph has been raised up to restore the fulness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. . . . 

“Though my message this morning is simple, it’s deep, and it’s full of love for the Prophet Joseph Smith. . . . 

“So my testimony this morning is that I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I also know that our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ appeared and spoke to Joseph and prepared him to become the prophet.” 

President Ballard then spoke about his soon departure from this mortal field, saying: 

“I marvel, and I’m sure that many of you do too, at how blessed we are to know what we know about our purpose in life, why we are here, what we should be trying to do and accomplish in our daily lives. We’re in the process of trying to prepare ourselves, a day at a time, to be a little better, be a little kinder, be a little more prepared for that day, which will surely come, when we shall pass back into the presence of our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 

“That’s getting a little closer for me. I’ll soon be 95. My children tell me they think I’m a lot older than that some days, but that’s OK. I’m doing the best I can.” 

To close his final talk to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the world, President Ballard said: 

“May our Heavenly Father watch over us now and bless all the proceedings of the conference. And may we have the Spirit of the Lord well up in our hearts, and may our love for the gospel of Jesus Christ—our beloved Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ—increase as we strive to serve Him and keep His commandments and be more like Him as a result of our attending general conference. Wherever you are in this world, may God bless you. May the Spirit of the Lord be with us. May we feel the power of heaven as we worship together in this session of conference. 

“I leave you my witness and testimony that I know that Jesus is the Christ. He is our Savior, our Redeemer. He is our best friend. In the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.” 

Amen. President Ballard’s enduring witness will ever be that Jesus is the Christ, that He is our Savior, and that He is our loving friend. And his secondary witness will forever be that Joseph Smith was the Lord’s chosen prophet to restore His Church and raise up Israel in the last days. Jesus and Joseph – the two names are linked. It is through the Prophet Joseph Smith that we come to a fuller knowledge of Jesus, and it is through Jesus Christ that we come to salvation and eternal life. 

It is significant to me that President Ballard’s X post on same day he delivered his final talk, which was to be the second-to-last post he would ever make, contained these thoughts: 

“I did not read a prepared address today at general conference. My eyes are getting dim as I approach 95 which makes it more difficult to see the teleprompter. However, I didn’t want to allow this obstacle to keep me from sharing my testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ. 

“I declare my witness that Jesus Christ is our Beloved Savior. He is our Redeemer. I testify that striving to live His commandments will bring peace and happiness into our lives. Through Him, we may return to live with our Heavenly Father. I know this is true. 

“My dear friends, please know that I love you and pray for you. May God bless each of us in our endeavors to follow Him.” 

To me, this post was one of the most stirring and heartfelt testimonies President Ballard ever gave. 

I cite only one more doctrine taught by President Ballard; the validity and importance of the holy scriptures, specifically the Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. President Ballard gave perhaps the greatest sermon in modern Latter-day Saint history on the Holy Bible, titled “The Miracle of the Holy Bible.” Citing all the good parts would require too much space, but here is an excerpt: 

“It is a miracle that the Bible literally contains within its pages the converting, healing Spirit of Christ, which has turned men’s hearts for centuries, leading them to pray, to choose right paths, and to search to find their Savior. 

“The Holy Bible is well named. It is holy because it teaches truth, holy because it warms us with its spirit, holy because it teaches us to know God and understand His dealings with men, and holy because it testifies throughout its pages of the Lord Jesus Christ. . . . 

“How grateful we should be for the Holy Bible. In it we learn not only of the life and teachings and doctrines of Christ, we learn of His Church and of His priesthood and of the organization which He established and named the Church of Jesus Christ in those former days. We believe in that Church, and we believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that same Church, restored to earth, complete, with the same organization and the same priesthood. 

“Without the Bible, we would not know of His Church then, nor would we have the fulness of His gospel now. 

“I love the Bible, its teachings, its lessons, and its spirit. I love the Old Testament’s compelling, profound stories and its great prophets testifying of the coming of Christ. I love the New Testament’s apostolic travels and miracles and the letters of Paul. Most of all, I love its eyewitness accounts of the words and the example and the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. I love the perspective and peace that come from reading the Bible. 

“Brothers and sisters, I am sure many of you have had the experience of hearing people say that “Mormons are not Christians because they have their own Bible, the Book of Mormon.” To anyone harboring this misconception, we say that we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and the author of our salvation and that we believe, revere, and love the Holy Bible. We do have additional sacred scripture, including the Book of Mormon, but it supports the Bible, never substituting for it.” 

A powerful witness for the Bible! It is truly our foundational book in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it testifies so strongly of our Savior. The Book of Mormon likewise teaches clear and glorious doctrine about Jesus Christ, pointing our souls to Him and to no other for salvation. In the same address just cited, President Ballard said of The Book of Mormon

“Those who join this Church do not give up their faith in the Bible—they strengthen it. The Book of Mormon does not dilute nor diminish nor de-emphasize the Bible. On the contrary, it expands, extends, and exalts it. The Book of Mormon testifies of the Bible, and both testify of Christ. 

“The first testament of Christ is the Bible’s Old Testament, which predicted and prophesied of the coming of the Savior, His transcendent life, and His liberating Atonement. 

“The second Bible testament of Christ is the New Testament, which records His birth, His life, His ministry, His gospel, His Church, His Atonement, and His Resurrection, as well as the testimonies of His Apostles. 

“The third testament of Christ is the Book of Mormon, which also foretells Christ’s coming, confirms the Bible’s account of His saving Atonement, and then reveals the resurrected Lord’s visit to the earth’s other hemisphere. The subtitle of the Book of Mormon, the clarifying purpose statement printed on the cover of every copy, is “Another Testament of Jesus Christ.” 

“Each of these three testaments is a part of the great, indivisible whole of the Lord’s revealed word to His children. They contain the words of Christ, which we have been admonished to feast upon as a means of qualifying for eternal life (see 2 Nephi 31:20). Those who think that one part is more important or more true than the other parts are missing some of the beauty and completeness of the canon of ancient scripture. . . . 

“I bear solemn witness that we are true and full believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and in His revealed word through the Holy Bible. We not only believe the Bible—we strive to follow its precepts and to teach its message. The message of our missionaries is Christ and His gospel and His Atonement, and the scriptures are the text of that message. We say to all people, “We extend our love to you and invite you to come. Let us share all that God has revealed.”” 

I extend the same invitation to you now. I know The Book of Mormon is as true as the Bible and that both are inspired works of holy scripture. God has given us both so that we might better know Him and His Son, Jesus Christ. Together, they are “one” the Lord’s hands as He anciently promised to Ezekiel they would be (Ezekiel 37:15-19). 

Throughout his long ministry, President Ballard taught about the family, the gifts of the spirit, the threat of secret combinations, the wickedness of supernatural healings outside the Priesthood order, the snares the Devil lays to destroy people, the power of prayer, the importance of our spiritual identity, the Pioneers, and more. Finally, I wish to share a miraculous story that I heard from President Ballard’s own lips at the Missionary Training Center in 2006 while I was preparing to serve my mission in Moscow, Russia. I will paraphrase the story in my own terms as best as I can remember it while retaining its essence.  

In the talk, President Ballard spoke of his call to the apostleship. During his first week as an apostle, he was sent to Latin America to minister to the Saints in a region that had been hit by flood. President Ballard and a group of local authorities examined a lake that had risen, if memory serves, about thirty feet too high. 

As the group walked back to car, but President Ballard felt a strong impression from the Spirit that he should command the waters to recede to their original levels. He said that he thought something along the lines, “I’ve been an apostle one week and you want me to command the waters to go down?” Faithful to the prompting, however, President Ballard called his companions back and made a pronouncement by virtue of the Priesthood, commanding the water to recede.  

Something time went by and, back in the United States, President Ballard received a newspaper clipping from a local Church leader in the flood-affected with a headline stating, in essence, “Scientists baffled as water recedes thirty feet.” President Ballard relayed this incredible experience to testify of the Lord’s power and authority over all things. 

I also testify of the Lord. I testify that the Lord has called apostles and prophets in our day, beginning with Joseph Smith. One of those apostles was President M. Russell Ballard. He was a good man and a servant of our Redeemer who is Christ the Lord. He is now reunited with his wife and with the Lord whom he loved and served. May we keep President Ballard’s teachings, testimony, and service in our minds and do what he encouraged us to do, follow the Savior.

Semper Fidelis

Today is the birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps and tomorrow is Veterans Day. I wish to raise my voice in appreciation to those honorable men who have served their Republic to fight for their Faith, Families, and Freedom throughout our remarkable history. 

Our fighting men have been misused and abused, neglected and disrespected by their government and nation alike. Their lives have been wasted in foreign wars for foreign causes. They have been callously used as the New World Order’s Praetorian Guard. 

Yet, by and large, our military men have been honorable men who believed they were doing their duty by answering their nation’s call to fight. Though I would prefer those honorable men to stand up and refuse to go fight unconstitutional wars, may we always remember those who fought with honor regardless of the wicked reasons wicked men sent them to war. 

Those who have fought have suffered extreme deprivations and hardships to obtain and maintain our national Independence and free system. Many of their brothers-in-arms died. Others died inside and returned home broken men. Why did they sacrifice so much? 

Throughout history, mercenaries have fought for pay, peasants have been conscripted, and reluctant laymen were ordered by their political superiors to go off to war. In America, however, men have stepped forward to defend an ideal – Freedom. Just prior to the 1964 presidential election, Ronald Reagan cut through the partisan rhetoric and spoke to the heart of the issue facing us each time we go to the ballot box: 

“[T]his idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except the sovereign people, is still the newest and the most unique idea in all the long history of man’s relation to man. 

“This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves. 

“You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well I’d like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There’s only an up or down – man’s old-aged dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. And regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course.” 

This is what our fathers, brothers, and sons have fought for, bled for, and died for. The human spirit rebels against the notion of being forced to do anything. Our forefathers, however, were the first in modern times to craft a system ingenious enough to enable government to secure our rights without infringing them while also having enough energy to keep our self-governing society running smoothly. Our veterans have fought, in a word, for Liberty. 

But why must we fight at all? We must fight because even though Freedom is our birthright as children of a loving God, we live in a fallen world where Freedom has been the exception and tyranny the rule. When he was sworn in as the governor of California, Ronald Reagan said: 

“Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. And those in world history who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again” (Ronald Reagan, Inaugural Address, January 5, 1967). 

History demonstrates that many nations have attempted to establish Freedom. History also laments, however, that these attempts have nearly all spluttered and failed within a very short period. When we acknowledge this fact, the very existence of the United States of America becomes startling and almost unbelievable. 

Nothing quite like the American Republic has ever existed. Certainly, even the freest societies of antiquity – the Israelites and the Anglo-Saxons, for instance – never attained to the heights of prosperity, might, influence, wealth, stability, equality, and individual autonomy that the American People have obtained. This unique position, this blessing of Liberty, is what our warriors have signed up to fight for. 

Do we honor our honorable warriors? Do we regularly remember them, thank them, and recognize them? Do we keep them in our prayers? Are we truly appreciative of their great sacrifices, both in terms of physical and mental exertion, injuries and trauma sustained, and being away from family and homeland? I hope you remember them, remember their sacrifices, appreciate what they have done and why they have done it, and make a good use of the Liberty they have vouchsafed. 

John Adams, colorful as ever, said: 

“Posterity! You will never know, how much it cost the present Generation, to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make a good Use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it” (John Adams to Abigail Adams, April 26, 1777). 

If our fighting men of the past had had the ability to look into the future and see what our nation would become, do you think they would have risked life and limb to enable it? I doubt it. I doubt our good, upright warriors would have fought to uphold a tyrannical, hedonistic, debauched, corrupt, bloated, secretive, hostile government and nation – a nation that scarcely remembers them, couldn’t identify the locations of their fiercest battles on a map, tears down monuments erected to their memory, mislabels them “baby killers” and “imperialists,” and fanatically seeks to erase them from history. 

The way we mistreat, misuse, and malign our men in uniform is shameful. We can oppose unconstitutional wars, as I have, reject interventionism, as I have, decry war crimes when they happen, as I have, oppose the Marxian agenda promoted by top military brass, as I have, while still recognizing the worthy efforts of many of the men who have fought for our Republic. God bless them! 

It is time to expand our historical memories and recall what our brave men have done for our nation. We should remember their names, the names of the battles they fought, and, most importantly, the ideals they fought to uphold. Battles like those of Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill, Trenton Princeton, Kings Mountain, and Yorktown, should be emblazoned in our minds. The names of our great heroes, men like John Parker, Joseph Warren, Ethan Allen, Nathanael Greene, Francis Marion, John Paul Jones, and General Washington, should be on our tongues. And we ought never forget, not for a single day, the sublime principles of Independence, individual Liberty, rule of law, natural law, and virtue. 

When we salute our flag on special days like today, we don’t salute a lifeless piece of fabric – we salute the principles it represents and the men who have toiled and bled to perpetuate them. As critical as we must be at times with the Marxist jackals who have hijacked our government and wrecked out society as we have sat by idly and ignorantly, we can’t afford to let ourselves spurn the memories of those who have given so much for this Republic. 

The Marines Corps motto is “Semper Fidelis,” or always faithful. My plea to you today is to be always faithful to the principles of Faith, Family, and Freedom that make life worthwhile, to the amazing nation we live in, to our honorable veterans and military warriors, and to the God, even Jesus Christ, who presides over this world, favored our humble forefathers, gave us the Constitution, raised up our Republic, and will yet preserve a righteous remnant who comprehends their God-given rights and exerts themselves to regain them, maintain them, and hand them down to their children. 

Happy Birthday, Marines! Happy Veterans Day, American warriors! Semper Fidelis. Sic Semper Tyrannis. Long Live Liberty!

They Will Do it Again

They blew up the Lusitania and engineered America’s entry into World War I. 

They wrote the Treaty of Versailles in such an egregiously unfair and unjust manner as to ensure a second global war – a war which they could blame on the mistreated party which was guilty of nothing but attempting to assert its separate and equal station among the nations of the earth. 

They engineered the Great Depression. 

They banned America’s #1 cash crop – hemp. 

They took away Americans’ gold. 

They provoked Japan into bombing Pearl Harbor and refused to warn the Pacific Fleet of the approach of Japan’s forces to ensure maximum surprise, casualties, and public outrage. 

They firebombed many dozens of cities in Japan and Germany, including Hamburg, Dresden, and Tokyo. 

They incinerated primarily civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki with atomic bombs. 

They allowed 23,000 American POWs to rot and die in the Soviet GULAG while hiding this fact from the American People. 

They murdered between 1 and 2 million German POWs in open-air death camps along the Rhine River after World War II had ended in what can only be called ethnic cleansing and genocide. 

They initiated Operation Keelhaul and rounded up Soviet dissidents and enemies in the West and shipped them, often forcibly, to the USSR to be slaughtered by Stalin. 

They treasonously gave a-bomb technology to the Soviet Union. 

They stopped Chiang Kai-shek’s nationalist forces from defending China against the Soviet-backed Mao Tse-tung, thus ensuring that China turned communist

They tied General McArthur’s hands during the Korean War to prevent an American victory and to guarantee that half of Korea remained under communist control and could easily be used to foment another war at a future date. 

They ran, and still run, Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) and mind control operations involving the most inhumane and demonic treatment of innocent people. 

They funded the hippie movement of hedonism, decadency, and drug abuse. 

They ran the Civil Rights movement and used it to stir up racial division and divide America.  

They put a bullet in JFK’s brain. 

They perpetrated the Gulf of Tonkin hoax to convince Americans to support military intervention in Vietnam then prevented the U.S. military from actually winning. 

They murdered 34 American sailors aboard the USS Liberty in the attempt to drag the United States into a Middle Eastern war on behalf of Israel. 

They hurled Nixon from office. 

They put a bullet in Ronald Regan’s chest. 

They ran a fear-mongering campaign to persuade Americans to disarm their nuclear arsenal and try peace with their avowed enemies – a peace that benefited only one side. 

They staged the “collapse” of the Soviet Union to hoodwink the West into believing the Cold War was over, that NATO was on top of the world, and that Russia and China were no longer threats. 

They killed 6 people in the first World Trade Center bombing, blaming it on Arab terrorists. 

They killed 76 innocent people, including 25 children, at Waco, Texas in a military siege for the crime of believing differently. 

They snuffed out 168 lives in the Oklahoma City Bombing, blaming it on domestic terrorists. 

They murdered nearly 3,000 Americans in false-flag terror attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., blaming them on terrorists with box cutters led from a cave by a man on dialysis. 

They invaded the sovereign nations of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria in the bogus War on Terror. 

They strangled Jeffrey Epstein before he could give up the names of powerful people who were engaged in sex trafficking and human slavery. 

They used Russian agents and Russian disinformation to claim Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2020 election. 

They impeached President Trump twice in the House of Representatives on demonstrably false charges. 

They unleashed the nihilists, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Marxist radicals, and other criminals to terrorize the nation in 2020, burning, looting, pillaging, tearing down historical monuments, and murdering over thirty individuals. 

They engineered COVID-19 in a lab in Red China and released it on the world, running a massive psy-op to convince people that they would all drop dead if they did not quarantine at home, shut down their businesses, close their church doors, seclude themselves from their loved ones, wear oxygen-inhibiting slave symbols over their faces, and inject horrific poisons into their body. 

They knowingly murdered many thousands of people in hospitals with Coronahoax protocols like sticking people on ventilators. 

They exercised their tyrannical muscles by using executive orders and “emergency” powers to strip Americans of their unalienable rights. 

They obliterated the economy, put millions out of work, and jacked up inflation with reckless spending. 

They brazenly rigged and stole the 2020 election, attempting to convince the public to swallow the obvious lie that 81 million Americans voted for a man with dementia – the most votes ever received by any presidential candidate. 

They not only stole the presidency in 2020, but the Senate as well. 

They ran a fake “insurrection” that has resulted in real prison time for really innocent people. 

They stole the 2022 election, again stealing the Senate and blatantly preventing a Republican victory for governor in Arizona. 

They raided President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home on false pretenses.  

They indicted President Trump four times and plan to try him right before the 2024 primaries elections with the hopes of preventing him from running in the election

They are interfering with Russia’s malicious and unjustified invasion of Ukraine, sucking the United States into the vortex of major European war for the third time in a century. 

They are foisting transgenderism, homosexuality, and rampant carnality upon children in schools, through the media, and via Hollywood. 

They have issued a central bank digital dollar which could impose totalitarian control over how you buy and sell things in the future. 

They have allowed a staggering 9 million illegal invaders to flood across our southern “border” in the last three years, seemingly attempting to outdo the Barbarian invasions of Europe at the twilight of the Roman Empire. 

They have done all this and so much more . . . yet you still believe Donald J. Trump will be permitted to have a fair shot at winning the 2024 election? I don’t. They – the international Satanic communist criminal cult that governs all nations, controls the financial sector, dominates the media, wields power over the schools and universities, rules over the medical establishment, has massive influence over the churches, and commands the world’s militaries – won’t allow it. They didn’t allow it in 2020 and they won’t allow it in 2024, the will of the American People be damned. 

I’m at my wits’ end with conservatives who are brimming with optimism right now. They are laboring under the false delusion that Donald Trump is going to sweep back into power on a red wave next year, that the nation is turning our way, and that the enemy is scared and on the run. 

I don’t honestly believe the Establishment is scared. As noted, they control the militaries of the world. They have their finger on the trigger of the nuclear arsenals of the United States, Russia, and China. They initiated two previous world wars; why can’t they do it again? They control the banks and can collapse them in an instant just like they deliberately did in 1929. Why can’t they collapse them again? We have witnessed them shut down the global economy once simply through the power of fear-based media propaganda. Why couldn’t they do it again or, worse, release an actually devastating bio-weapon and watch tens of millions of people drop dead in the streets to spur compliance? 

I love Thomas Jefferson. My regular readers know that he is my political hero. I agree with his political philosophy more than that of any other mortal of whom I have knowledge. That said, I disagree with Jefferson’s famous statement which places so much faith in the American People: 

“I am persuaded myself that the good sense of the people will always be found to be the best army. they may be led astray for a moment, but will soon correct themselves” (Thomas Jefferson to Edward Carrington, January 16, 1787). 

I wonder if Jefferson would have the same opinion if he had had the same information we have today and if he had been able to witness and study the long pattern of ignorance, compliance with tyranny, and total debauchery demonstrated by the American People for generations. 

Think of the list I have presented today. It goes back to World War I. We have been snookered by the same rootless international clique of jackals for over a century! They have assassinated or removed our presidents, murdered our people in attacks blamed on other people which were used as pretexts to take us to war, stolen elections, lied to us, carried out psychological operations against us, raped and trafficked our children, mentally abused our kids in schools, imprisoned dissidents whose crime was speaking the truth, and so much more. We have taken it quietly. We have submitted and complied. We have been dumb sheep sitting by idly as the wolves devoured the flock. 

Yes, there is a political awakening happening, but it is too little too late. And it is not accompanied by the religious revival that is a prerequisite for a true American revolution. At this point, the only thing that can save America is repentance and obedience to Jesus Christ. I fear for my beloved country. I love America, but America is on her deathbed. She won’t rise again until she is cleansed from the inside out by fire, sword, pestilence, plague, and suffering. 

Don’t put your faith in Trump, the Republican Party, or the 2024 election; they will let you down yet again. Put your faith in the Savior Jesus Christ, the King of king and Lord of lords. He is returning sooner than many dare believe. Before He does, however, the world will endure torment and upheaval, war and bloodshed, plagues and natural disasters, misery and chaos, evil and demonic savagery like never before. Everything we have seen up to this point is scarcely a prelude to the horrors soon to be poured out. 

I urge you to repent, improve your lives, get a food storage, relocate to safer locations, draw closer to your family, develop a network of like-minded folks you can rely upon, learn necessary survival skills, seek the discernment of the Holy Spirit, be baptized into the Lord’s Church, and learn to put your trust in the Lord God of Israel. He is our only hope and salvation. Our forefathers relied upon Him during their War for Independence and He brought them through victoriously. He will likewise bring as many as will remain faithful to Him through the terrors that lie ahead of us.

Political Awakening Without Religious Revival Equals Defeat

Daily, I see conservative pundits gush about the political awakening they see happening in America and around the world. They say, “We’re winning!” and “The political Elite are petrified!” and “They’re running scared!” No, we’re not, and no, they’re not. A political awakening without a religious revival equals defeat. 

On the surface, it appears that the side of truth, light, and right is winning. Bumbling Biden’s corrupt regime is crumbling as more information about his bribery and duplicity emerges despite the best attempts of the controlled press to conceal it. The House of Representatives has opened an impeachment inquiry against the cognitively impaired fake “president,” and his crack-addict son Hunter is facing a felony indictment for lying about his drug habit while purchasing a firearm. Lies of every type are being exposed, whistleblowers are coming out of the woodwork, the January 6th “insurrection” lie is unraveling, the complicity of Big Tech and the Establishment is now well known, the Coronahoax charade is collapsing as the slogan “We will not comply” is trending, judicial victories are proliferating for conservative defendants prosecuted by the tyrannical Establishment, and more. 

Meanwhile, Trump’s support is larger than it ever has been notwithstanding the fraudulent indictments and court cases the political Establishment is throwing at him. Many Democrats have abandoned ship and are now Team Trump. Increasing numbers of minority voters, which have always voted Democrat, are now openly and vocally on Trump’s side. While Biden can’t string two coherent sentences together and is literally being mocked on the world stage, Trump is out there looking as robust as ever at mass rallies and events. The controlled press is collapsing as viewers shift toward independent media. Establishment Republican presidential candidates like Chris Christie, Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, Ron DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy, brought in around 12 million viewers to the first presidential debate whereas Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson on the same night brought in 250 million. 

By every political metric, it appears the conservative cause is full-steam-ahead while liberalism is collapsing in almost comical fashion. However, appearances are often deceiving. I fully admit that a global awakening is now underway. I wrote about this in my 2022 article “Slaves Rising.” Politically, the curtain has fallen, and every honest and aware investigator knows who is really pulling the strings and that they are trying to crush us. We know the demonic agenda that is in the works and the hellish high-tech slavery that is being prepared for us. Yet, I fail to see the necessary religious revival materialize alongside this gratifying political awakening. 

Sure, some Christians are becoming more hardcore, vocal, and organized, but the overall number of Christians is rapidly decreasing while atheists, New Agers, Satanists, and Wiccans are flourishing. Social media outlets like Gab.com are fighting hard against the Satanic conspiracy for the glory of the Lord, but the conspiracy retains its stranglehold on the levers of power in society. Movies like Sound of Freedom, based on the anti-human trafficking efforts of Latter-day Saint Tim Ballard, are outperforming Hollywood’s corrupt excuses for entertainment, yet Ballard is now at the center of malicious smear attack that has turned some of his supporters against him. 

The conservative side has also placed many of their representatives in government, but are these representatives truly religious and moral? Let’s take a case in point. Representative Lauren Boebert from Colorado has been one of the most outspoken critics of the regime and supporters of self-defense rights, the Constitution, and so on. She has openly defied many of the regime’s absurd restrictions, such as when she walked into a session at the Capital armed, and has asserted her rights. Yet do you recall the incident that happened this week? Boebert was kicked out of a theater with her date after vaping and groping her partner while wearing an immodest dress. Then she denied it and lied about doing both, which denial has been contradicted by video evidence. After the video emerged, she admitted her lies. This is one of our side’s most ardent representatives, and yet she is morally bankrupt and a liar to boot. 

Vivek Ramaswamy has risen dramatically in the polls as of late. He says many of the right things yet has a shady past and even shadier connections. The kicker, however, is that he is Hindu. I have nothing against Hindus (in fact, I love Indian culture, cuisine, clothing style, history, etc.), but, in America, we can only afford to have Christians fill the seats of government; not Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, or worse. Christ is the God of this land and it is our duty to vote for Christians if we want His divine favor. 

Why should the fact that a non-Christian and a lying Christian are so popular on our side be a surprise? After all, Donald Trump is essentially worshiped as the savior by conservatives. Trump, you’ll recall, was a braggadocious serial adulterer and a crass individual. I believe he has changed for the better since he first took office, as we all thankfully have the opportunity to do because of the Atonement and grace of Jesus Christ, but his moral qualities – or lack thereof – make him suspect. His lack of virtue, I believe, impairs his ability to discern truth from error, and make correct decisions. 

Think of the vicious and corrupt men Trump surrounded himself with during his first term – men who have almost universally now been exposed as enemies to the Republic who undermined him and his policies at every turn. Had he had a modicum of the Holy Spirit with him, he would have been able to discern between the traitors and patriots and would have achieved far more while in office. 

I’ll quickly add that the Lord sometimes uses those who don’t know Him to further His purposes. Cyrus the Great comes to mind. However, I believe He designed America to be different. This is His land. He founded it. He established the Constitution. He preserved our forefathers and delivered them out of bondage.  

The Lord’s omnipotent hand was so evident in the War for Independence that George Washington was forced to write: “The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this, that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations” (George Washington to Thomas Nelson, August 20, 1778). 

Later, the good General again asserted: 

“The man must be bad indeed who can look upon the events of the American Revolution without feeling the warmest gratitude towards the great Author of the Universe whose divine interposition was so frequently manifested in our behalf—And it is my earnest prayer that we may so conduct ourselves as to merit a continuance of those blessings with which we have hitherto been favoured” (George Washington to Samuel Langdon, September 28, 1789). 

The God who raised up our nation expects us to worship Him, keep His commandments, and follow His laws. The Bible says: “The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you” (2 Chronicles 15:2). This leaves little room for error. We either remain a moral and Christian People, or we are destined to collapse into ruin and be cleansed by an offended God. 

The Apostle Paul detailed many of the reasons why God judges and forsakes nations. As you read his words, consider whether America is guilty of these sins and bad behaviors: 

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. . . . 

“. . . when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 

“And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 

“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 

“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 

“And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 

“Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 

“Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 

“Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 

“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Romans 1:18, 21-32). 

Paul cited lust, fornication, homosexuality, oath-breaking, lying, contention, anger, envy, gossiping, pridefulness, atheism, ingratitude, corruption, vanity, idol worship, and other sins, as reasons why God forsakes and condemns a nation. Is America guilty of these things? She is.  

Let’s consider the following. We have the world’s largest porn industry and sex-industrial complex (Russia is #2). The American People, once chaste and pure, are hedonistic and sensual. A study from 1949-2003 showed that premarital sex (i.e. fornication) was nearly universal. Here’s a quote: 

“Data from the 2002 survey indicate that by age 20, 77% of respondents had had sex, 75% had had premarital sex, and 12% had married; by age 44, 95% of respondents (94% of women, 96% of men, and 97% of those who had ever had sex) had had premarital sex. Even among those who abstained until at least age 20, 81% had had premarital sex by age 44. Among cohorts of women turning 15 between 1964 and 1993, at least 91% had had premarital sex by age 30. Among those turning 15 between 1954 and 1963, 82% had had premarital sex by age 30, and 88% had done so by age 44.” 

These are shocking numbers. It is more shocking when you understand that sexual sin ranks right behind denying the Holy Ghost and murder in terms of seriousness in God’s eyes. How can a nation where all but a few don’t commit sexual sin expect the Lord’s blessings? Even 67% of Christians, according to a recent Gallup poll, believe that sex between unmarried individuals is ok either “always,” “sometimes,” or “rarely.” A mere 32% of Christians polled actually stood for the Biblical truth that sex before marriage is always sin. 

You may have noticed that the two polls cited disagree slightly. Either the Christians polled in the second instance were lying and fornicating while claiming to believe it’s wrong, or the first poll slightly exaggerated how many people fornicate. Either way, the numbers are astronomically horrific and demonstrate how wicked our society has become. 

Drunkenness, substance abuse, contention, backbiting, gossiping, deceiving, lying, covenant-breaking, homosexuality, transgenderism, child abuse, lust, adultery, fornication, immodesty, criminality, profane language, irresponsibility, laziness, disrespect, dishonorable behavior, disobedience to parents, divorce, domestic violence, infanticide, pride, and so many more iniquitous actions and patterns, characterize modern American and Western culture. Frankly, the entire world suffers from this exact same wickedness, but it is more prominently on full display in living color here in America thanks to the cultural Marxists who are deliberately attempting to rot our nation from the inside. 

Not only do we do these despicable things, but we celebrate them! We call people “heroes” for breaking the Lord’s commandments and flaunting their perversions. California just declared August to be transgender month. Transgenderism is, as many professionals have declared it, a mental disorder. I would classify it more correctly as a spiritual disorder. Yet, despite the science and the common sense, we coddle and play into the fantasies of these people who desperately need our help to free them from the Satanic grip of identity crisis, low self-esteem, depression, and perversion. 

Homosexuality, which is celebrated with gay pride month, is also fawned over by the media, Hollywood, schools, business, and sycophants everywhere. They have their parades, parties, and award shows. People pander to the Sodomites by wearing rainbow stickers, hoisting rainbow flags, and standing in solidarity with them like good comrades/. 

Heterosexual fornication and adultery are no less evil. Most people, unfortunately, don’t think twice about sleeping around and being sexually active outside of marriage, beginning often in middle or high school. It’s just what you do these days. “Everyone’s doing it,” Lucifer, the Father of Lies, whispers in their ears. So prevalent is our perversion that sexual sin is not merely displayed everywhere, but is presented as “cool,” “normal,” “natural,” “good,” and even “healthy.” 

Alcoholism and drug abuse are also eroding the moral fabric of society. The fentanyl crisis, fueled intentionally by Red China as part of the long-term communist strategy of softening us up through drugs, is only one of many drug-related pits out of which we must crawl. The media has gone out of its way to conceal the marijuana-related crime – including auto accidents and deaths – that has followed in the wake of its legalization in places like Colorado. Caffeine, classified as a psychoactive drug, also has us in its grip. On all sides, illicit and dangerous substances are being used to deaden our minds and souls and weaken us in preparation for the enemy’s end game. 

Can a nation that celebrates so much decadence survive? No. It has often been said that if God spared America, He would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. He would also need to apologize to the House of Israel whom He punished and scattered throughout the world for their sexual sins, disobedience, and other wickedness if He lets us get away with the very same sins. 

The reality is that no political fix can pull us out of our morass of immorality. No election will solve our problems. No political savior will save us. To think Donald Trump, or the 2024 election which may never happen, or any other political solution will rescue us, is folly. 

Only Jesus can save us. He is our true Savior. Yet, He will not save us in sin. He can’t save us in sin! He can change us and then save us as we repent of sin, and faith in Him, repentance, and a sincere striving to keep His commandments are prerequisites. 

Is America repenting of her gross violations of divine law? I don’t see it. From my perspective, hearts are becoming more hardened, people and institutions are becoming more corrupt, faith is diminishing, rudeness, vulgarity, and immorality are increasing, marriages and families are imploding, ignorance and superstition are deepening, music and art are becoming more profane, daily interactions are becoming more contentious, government is devolving into tit-for-tat tyranny, tribalism is growing alarmingly, hatred is being fanned, and evil is being celebrated and legalized more than ever before. 

Where in the scriptures can you find the hope that blinds conservatives? When I read the scriptures, I see a progressive worsening of events, conditions, and behavior until the time the Lord returns and cleanses the earth. I don’t see a new golden age of prosperity, peace, Freedom, and prophesied for the time preceding the Second Coming. Rather, I see the following foretold for our day: 

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 

“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 

“All these are the beginning of sorrows. 

“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 

“And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. . . . 

“. . . then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 

“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those adays shall be shortened. . . . 

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24: 6-12, 21-22, 24). 

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 

“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 

“And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 

“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:4-8; by some researchers’ calculations, we are currently living in the forty two months when the first Beast reigns, and that its bloody demise – paving the way for the second Beast and the Anti-Christ – is slated for 2024). 

“I say unto you that before this great day shall come the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall be turned into blood, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and there shall be greater signs in heaven above and in the earth beneath; 

“And there shall be weeping and wailing among the hosts of men; 

“And there shall be a great hailstorm sent forth to destroy the crops of the earth. 

“And it shall come to pass, because of the wickedness of the world, that I will take vengeance upon the wicked, for they will not repent; for the cup of mine indignation is full; for behold, my blood shall not cleanse them if they hear me not. 

“Wherefore, I the Lord God will send forth flies upon the face of the earth, which shall take hold of the inhabitants thereof, and shall eat their flesh, and shall cause maggots to come in upon them; 

“And their tongues shall be stayed that they shall not utter against me; and their flesh shall fall from off their bones, and their eyes from their sockets; 

“And it shall come to pass that the beasts of the forest and the fowls of the air shall devour them up. 

“And the great and abominable church, which is the whore of all the earth, shall be cast down by devouring fire, according as it is spoken by the mouth of Ezekiel the prophet, who spoke of these things, which have not come to pass but surely must, as I live, for abominations shall not reign” (Doctrine and Covenants 29:14-21). 

Abominations reign, even in America. Because of this, Donald Trump can’t save our nation (and I doubt he will be permitted by the powers-that-be to retake the presidency). No election can do it. No political revolution can do it. No great political awakening, as welcome as it is, can succeed in the absence of a concurrent religious revival and mass repentance. 

Don’t buy the hopium so many conservatives are selling. Don’t stake everything on the upcoming presidential election. Don’t put your trust in the arm of flesh, but in the God of Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. 

I testify that Jesus is the God of this land, that He was with our forefathers, and that He established the United States. I witness that He lived, that He lives, and that He is the Savior. He will return soon, but before He does the earth will be bathed in blood, fire, pestilence, perversion, anguish, suffering, tribulation, misery, tyranny, darkness, and evil. Things will not get better, but progressively and exponentially worse. Steel yourself for the coming hardships and shore up your spiritual foundation. 

Remember and apply the parable of the Master: 

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 

“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon fa rock: 

“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a crock. 

“And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 

“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it” (Matthew 7:21-27). 

The fall is coming. Prepare now. Don’t misplace your hope and trust. Don’t believe in idols, false prophets, and political demigods. Build upon the one and only foundation that will never fall, the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, our Master, Redeemer, and King.

The “Eternal and Unremitting” Writ of Habeas Corpus

*I herein present, unaltered in any way, an article I published on April 17, 2014, for the Independent American Party (now renamed Independent American Patriots)*

On April 27, 1861 President Abraham Lincoln perpetrated one of his most dastardly attacks upon the United States Constitution and on the rights of Americans. In an action worthy of a dictator, President Lincoln unilaterally suspended the writ of habeas corpus, effectively ending due process in the United States and subjecting the Union to military jurisdiction. By suspending the writ of habeas corpus, President Lincoln broke his oath of office, violated Article 1, Section 9, Clause 2 of the Constitution, obliterated the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments, smashed historical precedent, and departed from the limited government philosophy of the Founding Fathers. This article will explain what our Founders thought of the writ of habeas corpus, why it matters today, and why violating is such a heinous act.

Article 1, Section 9, Clause 2 of the Constitution states: “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.” Habeas corpus laws date back to at least the Magna Carta of 1215 and were later clarified and codified in English law. The Magna Carta declares: “No freemen shall be taken or imprisoned or disseised or exiled or in any way destroyed, nor will we go upon him nor send upon him, except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land.” Kings had gotten into the habit of kidnapping their subjects and holding them without charge, trial, or any real cause. The Magna Carta addressed this issue and established a legal precedent whereby abductees could be summoned before a court to determine whether or not their imprisonment was justified.

The phrase habeas corpus is Latin for “produce the body.” As explained above, court orders, or writs, were issued to produce the prisoner and bring him before a court to determine the legality of his incarceration. Without this precious right, governments could arbitrarily and at will arrest and imprison their citizens, the latter having no legal means of redress other than armed revolt. In their wisdom, the Founding Fathers erected a formidable defense around the right to have writs of habeas corpus, jury trial, and due process. Let us take time now to see what our Founders believed about the need for habeas corpus.

Alexander Hamilton observed that “the practice of arbitrary imprisonments, have been, in all ages, the favorite and most formidable instruments of tyranny.” Hamilton deemed habeas corpus laws the “remedy for this fatal evil” and quoted Sir William Blackstone as referring to habeas corpus as the “bulwark of the British Constitution” (Hamilton, The Federalist Papers, No. 84). The Founders likewise saw the Fourth Amendment as the bulwark of the American Constitution.

Like Hamilton, James Iredell, one of America’s first Supreme Court justices, identified “arbitrary imprisonment” as “the principal source of tyranny in all ages” (spoken at the North Carolina state ratifying convention, July 28, 1788). On the same occasion, Iredell stated that any attempt to suspend jury trial in the United States would draw the “resentment and detestation of the people,” would be worthy of “eternal infamy,” and would ultimately be “as unsuccessful as it was wicked.” Iredell did not mince words nor compromise on this precious right.

Perhaps the biggest supporter of habeas corpus laws was the great Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson referred to “trial by jury . . . the habeas corpus, the freedom of the press, [and] the freedom of religion” as the “first principles of liberty” (Jefferson to Albert Gallatin, November, 1803). The Sage of Monticello chastised his fellow countrymen for being “contented to live under a system which leaves to their governors the power of taking from them the trial by jury in civil cases, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of commerce, the habeas corpus laws, and of yoking them with a standing army.” He referred to this apathetic attitude as a “degeneracy in the principles of liberty” (Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, February, 1788). To Jefferson, habeas corpus laws were just as fundamental as the Freedom of religion or Freedom of the press.

Jefferson felt so strongly about the writ of habeas corpus that in 1788 he proposed a bill of rights be added to the Constitution which, among other things, stipulated “no suspension of habeas corpus” (Jefferson to A. Donald, 1788). After receiving a copy of the newly crafted Constitution while serving as minister to France, Jefferson quickly wrote to James Madison that he was disappointed that the document did not include a “bill of rights providing clearly . . . the eternal and unremitting force of the habeas corpus laws, and trials by jury” among other protections of rights (Jefferson to James Madison, December 20, 1787). In his First Inaugural address as president, Jefferson highlighted “freedom of person under the protection of the habeas corpus, and trial by juries impartially selected” as part of the “bright constellation” of Liberty-minded principles that would guide his administration (Jefferson, First Inaugural Address, March 4, 1801).

From these quotations, and others that could be cited, it is clear that the Founders jealously guarded the precious writ of habeas corpus. Yet, in 1861 President Lincoln perverted the nature of the United States government by suspending habeas corpus jury trial, and attacking other rights such as the Freedom of the press. Even at the time the general consensus was that President Lincoln had overstepped the Constitution. However, because of the suspension of habeas corpus and attacks on dissenting press, the fear of being hauled off to a military prison prevented most from vigorously protesting Lincoln’s usurpations. A low estimate finds that over 13,500 Northerners were arbitrarily imprisoned, never charged with a crime, and denied their basic rights guaranteed in the Constitution and Bill of Rights (James G. Randall, Constitutional Problems Under Lincoln, New York: 1926, 152-153).

Of those who did speak out against President Lincoln’s theretofore unprecedented violations of the Constitution, Chief Justice Roger B. Taney of the United States Supreme Court is perhaps the most well-known. On May 25, 1861 John Merryman, who was thought to be a secessionist, was arrested in his home in Maryland in the dead of night, without a warrant, by federal troops. Merryman was whisked away to the military prison at Fort McHenry while Lincoln’s troops put Maryland under martial law to nip in the bud suspicions that the state was planning to secede. When the writ of habeas corpus filed by Merryman’s lawyers reached Justice Taney, he immediately moved to grant the writ. Military officers at Fort McHenry refused to comply, however, prompting Justice Taney to declare the military and the president beyond their constitutional bounds. Justice Taney subsequently released an official judicial opinion on the matter. The main points of his opinion will be reviewed below.

After giving background information on the arrest of Merryman, Justice Taney explained the illegal actions of General Cadwallader of Fort McHenry. He wrote, “Having the prisoner thus in custody upon these vague and unsupported accusations, [General Cadwallader] refuses to obey the writ of habeas corpus, upon the ground that he is duly authorized by the President to suspend it (this and all subsequent Taney quotations taken from Opinion of Chief Justice Taney, In the Case of Ex Parte John Merryman, Applying for a Writ of Habeas Corpus, New Orleans, 1861; link below).

Justice Taney continued: “As the case comes before me, therefore, I understand that the President not only claims the right to suspend the writ of habeas corpus himself, at his discretion, but to relegate that discretionary power to a military officer, and to leave it to him to determine whether he will or will not obey judicial process.” He further wrote that he was surprised to hear President Lincoln claim this authority since, as Justice Taney recorded, “I had supposed it to be one of those points of constitutional law upon which there was no difference of opinion, and that it was admitted on all hands that the privilege of the writ could not be suspended, except by act of Congress.”

President Lincoln, it seems, invented his notion of executive authority out of whole cloth. Justice Taney made the observation that the vestiture of power in Article 1, Section 9, Clause 2 to suspend habeas corpus falls under the section of the Constitution that deals exclusively with legislative authority. As Article 1, Section 1 plainly states, “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress” – not in the president. Justice Taney recounted how the American Founders had thrown off “arbitrary government” to establish “free institutions” and a “freer” government and therefore would never have granted the Executive Branch power to arbitrarily suspend habeas corpus.

Justice Taney was equally worried about military involvement in judicial affairs. He explained that the military “has, by force of arms, thrust aside the judicial authorities and officers to whom the Constitution has confided the power and duty of interpreting and administering the laws, and substituted a military government in its place, to be administered and executed by military officers.” Cognizant of historical precedent wherein militaries gradually usurp control over civil matters, the Founders crafted the Constitution so as to empower civilian jurisdiction and preeminence in judicial affairs.

One lengthy paragraph of Justice Taney’s opinion is of particular interest because it gives a good synopsis of who holds political power in the American system and where the boundaries are drawn. That paragraph is quoted here in full:

“With such provisions in the Constitution, expressed in language too clear to be misunderstood by any one, I can see no ground whatever for supposing that the President, in any emergency, or in any state of things, can authorize the suspension of the privileges of the writ of habeas corpus, or the arrest of a citizen, except in aid of the judicial power. He certainly does not faithfully execute the laws, if he takes upon himself legislative power, by suspending the writ of habeas corpus – and the judicial power also, by arresting and imprisoning a person without due process of law. Nor can any argument be drawn from the nature of sovereignty, or the necessity of government, for self-defense in times of tumult and danger. The Government of the United States is one of delegated and limited powers; it derives it existence and authority altogether from the Constitution, and neither of its branches, executive, legislative or judicial, can exercise any of the powers of government beyond those specified and granted. For the tenth Article of the Amendment to the Constitution, in express terms, provides that the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Justice Taney accurately explained that the Constitution delegates only a handful of carefully specified powers to the federal government while reserving the rest to the American People. When an elected representative breaks his oath to the Constitution by overstepping its boundaries, he comes out in open war against the People and their natural rights. Such was the case with Abraham Lincoln when he illegally waged war on the Southern states and suspended habeas corpus and jury trials in order to quell opposition to his rule.

Some might question the relevance of an article on the writ of habeas corpus. After all, don’t we have a well-oiled justice system and don’t we live in a civilized and enlightened society? The fact is that America’s justice system is a farce. The law is not administered uniformly, but favors the wealthy and influential. Politicians, for example, get a slap on the wrist when they break the law whereas average Americans are being thrown into privately-owned, for-profit prisons for such ridiculous offenses as throwing a shoe at an elected representative or posting a supposedly threatening comment on Facebook or collecting rain water on their own property. Not only is injustice rampant, but the writ of habeas corpus has come under direct attack by Congress and the Executive Branch in recent legislation.

In October, 2001 the infamous PATRIOT Act was quite literally ramrodded through Congress by the Bush Administration and foisted upon the unsuspecting American People. Members of Congress only had 15 minutes to read the hundreds of pages of legislation which had been drafted in secret. Had they read the the PATRIOT Act, they 4 would have realized that it authorizes the federal government to spy on Americans, tap their phones without a warrant, and conspicuously does away with Fourth Amendment guarantees of due process – including the right to writs of habeas corpus. The Act also allows federal agents to write and administer their own search warrants and place a gag order, on pain of prosecution, upon those they secretly investigate. Numerous individuals have been arrested and imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and other military facilities out of the reach of civilian jurisdiction pursuant to the PATRIOT Act.

The National Defense Authorization Act 2012 (NDAA) likewise shreds the protections given in the Bill of Rights and authorizes, in purposefully vague language, the Executive Branch to use the military to arrest and detain indefinitely in military prisons, without charge or trial, anyone deemed by the president to be a threat to national security. Were a president today to have the ambition of Lincoln, he could do untold harm to Americans under the PATRIOT Act and the NDAA.

Many other dastardly pieces of legislation such as the 2005 Civilian Inmate Labor Program, the 2006 Military Commissions Act, the 2007 John Warner National Defense Authorization Act, and the 2009 National Emergency Centers Act assault our rights and subvert the Constitution. Whether it is Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, or the myriad of other despots who have ruled the United States for a century and a half, both sides of the power structure – Republicans and Democrats alike – are waging war against the American People and our God-given Liberties. However, as cockroaches scurry into hiding when hit by light, these political tyrants will flee when exposed by the brilliant light of truth. It is our job to become informed and to hold our representatives accountable for not honoring their oath to defend the Constitution.

When we make a sincere effort to study real history, we learn that our legacy is far more glorious than we are led to believe, while simultaneously darker and more sordid than we want to admit. The love and devotion our Founders had to personal Liberty and rule of law is humbling and inspiring. And the true nature and deeds of celebrated national heroes like Abraham Lincoln is revolting and maddening. The good and the bad both must be studied, however. Education in truth is the key to effecting positive change. We must become intellectually honest and doggedly pursue truth and fact at every peril, even if it takes us through the field where the sacred cows of our heart sit grazing on the ignorance fostered by our lack of commitment to unbiased truth. Only an educated, moral, God-fearing, and vigilant People are worthy of Freedom. Let us rise up and diligently earn our inheritance, along with our noble Founders, in the paradise of Freedom desired by so many yet achieved by so few.

War on the Second Amendment

Michelle Lujan Grisham – let the name burn in the eternal flames of infamy. The Democratic Governor Grisham of New Mexico has reserved herself a place among tyrants and traitors this past week by unilaterally, unconstitutionally, and unconscionably suspending the Second Amendment – specifically, the People’s right to carry firearms whether openly or concealed. 

The tyrannical Establishment and their gaggle of mind-addled lemmings are waging war on the Second Amendment. Every day, in some part of America, a politician, activist, journalist, commentator, or citizen exposes himself as a traitor to the Constitution, to the American heritage, and to the laws of nature and of nature’s God.  

After the right of life, the God-given human right of self-defense is the most fundamental of all rights. Without it, all other rights are untenable and subject to violation. The right of self-defense, enshrined by our wise forefathers in the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights, is the bulwark and safeguard against unfettered tyranny and oppression. 

In theory, an armed population cannot be conquered. In actual fact, America has been largely hijacked, occupied, and conquered by the political hyenas who lord over us. These jackals wear both Rs and Ds next to their names. They are strategically positioned throughout society in government, business, media, academia, religion, and more, to push forward the Satanic disarmament agenda. 

I make no bones about the anti-Second Amendment campaign being a Satanic and demonic agenda of enslavement. How can it not be when it attacks the one right that defends all the others? Any policy, program, party, or person who assaults any of our rights – no matter whether they do it in the name of God, the “public good,” the “general welfare,” the “safety” of society, the children, or what have you – is guilty of fighting against the laws of nature and of nature’s God. 

The phrase “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God,” which you will remember if you are any sort of true American, is from the Declaration of Independence. When the corrupt and oppressive British monarchy trampled their rights, the Founding Fathers appealed to God and His laws for a final redress of grievances. They had attempted to peacefully rectify their situation by petitions and pleas, but to no avail. Only by bearing arms in the manly defense of their sacred rights were our forefathers able to preserve the blessings of Liberty to themselves and their posterity. 

Sob stories don’t affect me. Feelings don’t trump facts. As horrifically tragic and gut wrenching as it is to see school shootings or any type of malicious violence, these events don’t magically nullify, cancel, or suspend our rights. Our rights are sacrosanct. They existed before governments, before constitutions, and before societies. They cannot, therefore, be suspended, canceled, or nullified by government or society unless they are forfeited by one’s own attack on the equal rights of others. And this punishment is individualized and cannot be applied randomly to all people without violating their God-given rights. 

Enter Governor Grisham. On September 8, this anti-American despot declared that the Constitution was null and void in her state. Specifically, she announced the suspension of the Second Amendment for thirty days due to fictitious “emergency” that she concocted out of whole cloth. The very idea that an emergency can suspend our rights is also absurd. Yet, the COVID Scamdemic proved that most Americans are either too ignorant or timid to resist the schemes of despots when they pursue their demonic agendas in the name of an “emergency.” 

I repeat again that no “emergency,” real or fake, nullifies your God-given rights. All elected representatives hold their offices by virtue of your approval and allowance. They have no inherent right to rule. 100% of their authority was delegated to them by you. The question becomes, then, do you have the authority to suspend another person’s rights, even in an emergency? Of course not! 

You don’t have the right or authority to force another person to perform a medical intervention, whether that is putting a mask over their face or injecting poison into their bodies or going on a diet. Since you don’t have that authority, you can’t delegate it to government. You also don’t have the authority to simply suspend your neighbor’s rights, whether their right to self-defense, life, Liberty, property, speech, or any other. Since you don’t have that authority, you can’t delegate the authority to suspend rights to government. 

The only exception, as noted, is when one individual forfeits certain of his rights by violating the equal rights of another. A murderer, for instance, who deprives a person of their right to life can forfeit his own life. A robber may be required to give up his own property to compensate his victim. In all of this, the punishment is individualized and applied on a case-by-case basis. It is never applied to classes, groups, or populations as a whole. 

Yet, in New Mexico, Governor Grisham literally believes she is above any and all law, that she has rights and authorities that even her people don’t have, and that the Constitution and the rights it safeguards are utterly meaningless and disposable in a “crisis.” She said as much. In her press conference unveiling the nightmarish “health emergency” dictate, Grisham was asked: 

“You took an oath to the Constitution. Isn’t it unconstitutional to say you cannot exercise your carry license?” 

This monstrous tyrant insanely reasoned: 

“With one exception. And that is if there’s an emergency – and I’ve declared an emergency for a temporary amount of time – I can invoke additional powers. No constitutional right, in my view, including my oath, is intended to be absolute.” 

First, there’s no such thing as “constitutional rights.” Rights come from God or, if you will, the laws of nature. They preceded government, laws, and constitutions; they exist without and outside them; and they will continue on after all governments and laws collapse and fade into memory. These rights cannot be destroyed. Or, as the Declaration of Independence says, they are “incapable of Annihilation.” 

Tell that to the governor of New Mexico! Grisham is the most vicious of tyrants. She believes that your rights aren’t sacred, aren’t absolute, and are inferior to her whims. She believes that a supposed “emergency,” which is only an emergency in her private estimation, can obliterate and erase your rights. In other words, she doesn’t believe they are rights, but privileges. 

Privileges can be taken away, but rights cannot. Privileges are granted, rights are not. Privileges are of lesser value than rights. Our rights, however, come from God Almighty. We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, not by our government, our governor, or our community. The opinions of the community, governor, or government are utterly irrelevant. No majority, no judge, no governor, no legislature, no congress, no president, no priest, no neighbor, no community, no poll, no vote, no referendum, no edict, no school board, no police officer, has the right to suspend your rights, because they didn’t give them to you. Only God, who endowed you with your rights, is in a position to do that; and He has not. 

Do you see why I constantly harp on the fact that without God America can’t pull herself out of her nosedive? Without the fundamental understanding that our rights come from God and cannot be suspended by any mortal power, the Grishams of the world will continue to push their totalitarianism upon us until, fatigued into compliance, we submit to chains and slavery. 

I declare to you, and give my personal witness from the Holy Spirit, that the U.S. Constitution is inspired. It was written by profoundly good and wise men. It is not a perfect document, but it is nearly so, and it bears the Lord’s stamp of approval. But the Constitution gives no rights, confers no powers, and doesn’t alter in the slightest the basic system our Creator put in place regarding our rights and responsibilities. 

The Constitution was written to restrain government from encroaching on individual rights and to enumerate the very limited powers that governments may wield at the discretion of the People who authorized them to do so in their behalf. The People – comprised of individuals holding equal rights given to them by God – are the true sovereigns, however. The Constitution does not restrain us; it restrains our representatives. 

The Constitution, which was ratified by the American People operating through their respective states, was declared to be the “supreme Law of the Land” to which all local and national officers are “bound.” All state governments and laws are therefore subject to the Constitution and are trumped by it in those areas of its enumerated powers. No state law may contravene the Constitution. Period. 

Part of the Constitution is the Bill of Rights, which includes the Second Amendment’s guarantee that our individual, God-given right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.” If the Second Amendment guarantees to the individual his right to keep and bear arms, and the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land which all elected representatives and officers of public trust are bound to uphold, then that ends the debate forever. All federal and state gun laws are unconstitutional, to say nothing of an arbitrary edict suspending the Second Amendment altogether! 

This actually has nothing whatsoever to do with guns, firearms, or defensive weapons. It has to do with the fundamental understanding of where rights come from, where government gets its authority, and the role of the federal Constitution. If we understand that our rights come not from government but from God, that government representatives receive 100% of their delegated powers from the People and cannot exceed the power possessed by individuals nor do what individuals may not, and that the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land which holds sacrosanct our natural, God-given rights, then our problems are nearly solved. 

Citizens of New Mexico, don’t comply with this tyranny. Reject this edict and the despot who attempted to foist it upon you to destroy your rights. You voted her into office, but now that her true colors are there for all to see, reject her anti-American philosophy that can only end in the total abolition of your precious rights. Instead, be more like Sheriff John Allen of Bernalillo County who unequivocally stated: 

“The Bernalillo Sheriff’s Office will not enforce this segment of the order. While I understand the urgency, the temporary ban challenges the foundations of our Constitution, but, most importantly, it is unconstitutional. My oath was to protect the Constitution and that is what I will do . . . Other than this ban being unconstitutional, here are other reasons why I will not enforce the order. One, what many forget is I have enough violence here in Bernalillo County. I do not want to have political violence towards my deputies or here in Bernalillo County. My job is to keep the peace and to make sure that the citizens of Bernalillo County are safe, and I do not believe that this order will help me do so. I’m a law enforcement professional. This order will not do anything to curb gun violence, other than punish law-abiding citizens from their constitutional right to self-defense. It is quite irritating for me to see how this thirty-day ban completely overshadowed the robust conversations that we had with the governor in the office on what we are going to do to curb gun violence and for people to stop being victims.” 

Every American should be beyond irritated. We should feel enraged and take it personally when despots raise their ugly heads and attempt to eviscerate our God-given rights. Sic Semper Tyrannis was once a heartfelt American slogan. It needs to be resurrected once more. So does the phrase once proposed as our national motto: Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God

We must come to the same understanding that our Founding Fathers did about our rights and our duty to defend them at every hazard. In his delightfully blunt way, John Adams put it this way: 

“The right of a nation to kill a tyrant, in cases of necessity, can no more be doubted, than that to hang a robber, or kill a flea. But killing one tyrant only makes way for a worse, unless the people have sense, spirit, and honesty enough to establish and support a constitution guarded at all points against tyranny; against the tyranny of the one, the few, and the many. Let it be the study, therefore, of lawgivers and philosophers, to enlighten the people’s understandings and improve their morals, by good and general education; to enable them to comprehend the scheme of government, and to know upon what points their liberties depend; to dissipate those vulgar prejudices and popular superstitions that oppose themselves to good government; and to teach them that obedience to the laws is as indispensable in them as in lords and kings” (John Adams, “Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States,” 1787). 

Our rights came from God, not man. And we have a right, individually and collectively, to defend ourselves when anyone in any capacity attempts to deprive us of what God has given us. The right of self-defense specifically must be fiercely guarded if we hope to safeguard any of our other precious rights. 

The war on the Second Amendment must be won. The victory must be for private self-defense. No well-intentioned person attacks our fundamental right of self-defense. Only people so frighteningly ignorant that they should be kept far away from government, and those with malicious intent to reduce us to slavery and who therefore first need to neuter us as a threat, attack our God-given right of self-defense. 

Let us each work overtime to not only not comply with unlawful and unconstitutional edicts and laws such as Grisham’s draconian Second Amendment ban, which has already been declared unconstitutional by a federal judge, but to positively educate our fellow citizens in constitutionalism and self-rule, in the origin of their rights, and in the particulars of what their rights and duties are as freemen. We can begin this empowerment process by rereading the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution and remembering what it truly means to be a free man or woman of the greatest nation and finest Republic God has ever raised up among men. Godspeed, fellow freeman!

Happy Communist Labor Day

It seems oxymoronic to associate communism with labor, unless you count forced labor in the GULAG, yet Labor Day’s roots run deep in communist soil. By all means, have a spectacular Labor Day – I’m going to go camping with family in the beautiful Idaho woods – but know why the holiday exists. 

The 1880s were tumultuous years filled with violent strikes, rampant anarchism, and tremendous upheaval in the field of labor. Nearly all of this upheaval was sparked by socialists of varying stripes – anarchists, unionists, and outright communists. No event more perfectly captures the flavor of this anti-Americanism than the Chicago Haymarket Riots. 

It’s fitting that the Haymarket Riots of 1886 began on May Day and in Chicago. Chicago was the first headquarters of the Communist Party USA (their headquarters is now New York City). On May 1, the international communist holiday that commemorates the date on which the Order of Illuminati was founded in 1776, tens of thousands of workers walked out of their jobs. 

Over the next three days, more joined them in protesting and demanding an eight-hour day. In classic “something-for-nothing” socialist fashion, many of them harangued the city for ten hours’ of pay for eight hours’ of work. On May 4, as the rioters were gathered on Haymarket Square, someone threw a bomb into the crowd. The resulting clashes left seven police and at least four rioters dead, and sixty others injured. 

No one ever positively identified the bomber, but eight rioters were arrested and charged with murder for their participation in the clashes. Of the eight, six had been born in Germany, one in England, and one in the United States. All belonged to subversive organizations or hostile labor unions, such as the Knights of Labor and Central Labor Union. Most of the eight belonged to the International Working People’s Association – a communist organization which was otherwise known as the First International. Karl Marx was not the founder, but he was highly engaged in its work. 

The entire Haymarket Affair was planned and executed by Marxists, anarchists, and radicals. The Haymarket Riot became one of the primary catalysts, in an era of unionist violence, that prompted President Grover Cleveland in 1894 to declare the first Monday of September each year to be Labor Day. 

“Join the Anti-Bolshevik League”

The communists proudly claim Labor Day as their own. Here is a smattering of statements made by communistic organizations. In an article originally published by Tim Goulet for Jacobin, and reproduced by International Socialist Organization, we find the following about Labor Day: 

“Many depict it as a tokenistic “gift” from capitalist politicians who wanted a sanitized May Day that could capture militancy and disperse it into “responsible” channels. This narrative calls Labor Day a “bosses’ holiday” that marks the working class’s historic defeat. 

“This not only misrepresents the day’s history, but also forces us to choose one holiday over the other, as if there were not enough room on the calendar for two days that celebrate workers. 

“May Day undoubtedly belongs to us: It symbolizes internationalism and solidarity. But Labor Day also has roots in our radical tradition. The militant struggles of the 1880s produced both holidays, and Labor Day’s proponents also fought for the eight-hour day. 

“However, as the labor movement evolved–fracturing across different social layers and political tendencies–the holidays took on different meanings. Labor Day now stands for the working class’s capture by conservative politicians, while May Day became synonymous with revolutionary action. 

“But those who see Labor Day as a sop to “buy off” workers gloss over the holiday’s positive effects and the struggles of those who fought for it. The workers’ movement and the socialists so integral to its early days created Labor Day. It did not begin as a national holiday, but as self-activity in the streets.” 

In 1904, Socialist Party of America presidential candidate Eugene V. Debs published a Labor Day greeting in the Social Democratic Herald. I found it on marxists.org. He said

“Comrades, this is the day for Workingmen to think of the Class Struggle and the Ballot—the day for Labor to clasp the hand of Labor and girdle the globe with the International Revolutionary Solidarity of the Working Class. 

“We are all one—all workers of all lands and climes. We know not color, nor creed, nor sex in the Labor Movement. We know only that our hearts throb with the same proletarian stroke, that we are keeping step with our class in the march to the goal and that the solidarity of Labor will vanquish slavery and Humanize the World.” 

He may as well have quoted from the last line of The Communist Manifesto: “Working Men of All Countries, Unite!” 

On marxist.com, we find these paragraphs claiming Labor Day for the socialists and militants: 

“Depending on the source, it was first proposed in 1882 by either Peter McGuire or Matthew Maguire to the Central Labor Union of New York, as an official workers’ holiday. McGuire was General Secretary of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and a co-founder of the American Federation of Labor. Matthew Maguire was a machinist and a member of the International Association of Machinists. Both were members of the same branch of the Socialist Labor Party. Regardless of who is ultimately responsible, Labor Day originated in the labor movement and was conceived of by socialists. . . . 

“There is room in the calendar year for workers to have two Labor Days! The September holiday was conceived of and celebrated by socialists and militants within the labor movement, and we should remember and reclaim this history. In the words of Peter McGuire, one of the inspirers of the holiday, on Labor Day, we are to celebrate those who “have delved and carved all the grandeur that we behold.” The first Monday of September belongs to us and not the bosses!” 

In a history of Labor Day published by Forbes, we read

“Engels, the co-author of The Communist Manifesto, had high hopes for May Day, which originated in the United States. When the socialist-dominated organization known as the Second International jumped on the American bandwagon and adopted May 1 as International Labor Day, Engels confidently expected the proletariats of Europe and America to merge into one mighty labor movement and sweep capitalism into the dustbin of history. 

“Things didn’t work out that way, of course, and the divergent Labor Day celebrations are part of the story. 

“May Day’s origins can be traced to Chicago, where the Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions, under its leader Samuel Gompers, mounted a general strike on May 1, 1886, as part of its push for an eight-hour work day. On May 4, during a related labor rally in Haymarket Square, someone threw a bomb, which killed a policeman and touched off a deadly mêlée. As a result, four radical labor leaders were eventually hanged. . . . 

“In 1888, Gompers’s union reorganized itself as the American Federation of Labor, and revived its push for the eight-hour day. Gompers laid plans for a strike to begin on May 1, 1890–the fourth anniversary of the walkout that had led to the Haymarket affair. Meanwhile, in Paris, a group of labor leaders were meeting to establish the Second International. To these Europeans, the executed Chicago radicals were revered martyrs. In an act of solidarity, the Second International set May 1, 1890, as a day of protest. 

“Engels was thrilled. “As I write these lines, the proletariat of Europe and America is holding a review of its forces; it is organized for the first time as one army,” he wrote on the first May Day. “The spectacle we are now witnessing will make the capitalists and landowners of all lands realize that today the proletarians of all lands are, in very truth, united. If only Marx were with me to see it with his own eyes!” 

“The first May Day was deemed a success, so the Second International adopted it as an annual event. And for a few years, it seemed as though May 1 might be on the way to becoming a rallying point for socialists in America, as it was elsewhere. The Panic of 1893 touched off a national wave of bankruptcies that plunged the nation into a deep depression–and depressions generally push workers toward radical solutions. Things came to a boil with the Pullman Strike, which erupted in Chicago in May 1894. The striking Pullman Palace Car Co. workers quickly won the support of the American Railway Union, led by Gompers’s rival Eugene V. Debs. Railroad traffic in much of the country was paralyzed.”

We see from this except, and those preceding, that Labor Day was spawned by the international Marxist movement. It is fundamentally a celebration of anarchism, violence, strikes, protests, and communism. The chief movers and shakers in the movement were socialists – and sometimes avowed communists. Disruption, discord, and death were its fruits. Now, we celebrate Labor Day, whether we know it or not, in honor of radicals and the conspiratorial network of traitors who inspired them to radicalism. 

Have a stupendous holiday weekend. I know I will. Just remember the reason why you don’t have to work is because of the communist cancer in our body politic.

Shall Not Be Infringed

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” – Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution 

The principles of good government are not hard to understand. Most are exceedingly simple and easy to grasp when explained properly. The right of self-defense is one of the easiest of all laws to explain, defend, and justify – especially in the United States with our Heaven-sent Constitution. 

Government exists for one very specific reason – to defend and secure the rights of the people it governs. 100% of the power exercised by government officers is delegated to them by sovereign individuals acting in their collective capacity as “the People.” These powers are called “enumerated powers” because they are each individually spelled out in the compact between the People and their representatives called the Constitution.  

The Declaration of Independence expresses the point of government more eloquently and memorably than anywhere else. It affirms: 

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” 

Let’s rephrase the idea. Individuals have an equal claim on rights and Liberty. These rights come from God. They are “sacred and undeniable,” to quote Thomas Jefferson’s rough draft of the Declaration. Because they are sacrosanct and inestimably precious, government was created by men for the express purpose of ensuring their free exercise. 

Because rights are given by God to individuals, individuals alone have the right and prerogative to defend and exercise them. However, when individuals group together in society, it becomes easier and more convenient to have some third party provide for the collective defense and ensure everyone the free and equal exercise of their rights. This third party is called government. All of its powers are conditional grants delegated to it by people for one reason only – to defend God-given, individual rights. 

Sadly, those agents chosen to represent the People in government and wield their delegated power are too often greedy, conniving, power-hungry, usurping, would-be tyrants. They take power unto themselves that was never delegated or specifically enumerated in the Constitution, thus breaking the societal compact and violating their oaths to uphold and defend the Constitution. 

There is no divine right of kings in America – or anywhere else. It is a myth created by those seeking to dominate their fellow men. Thomas Jefferson rejected this dangerous myth in these words: 

“The general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view the palpable truth that the mass of mankind has not been born, with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of god” (Thomas Jefferson to Roger C. Weightman, June 24, 1826). 

No one has a right to rule over another, with the exception of parents over children until they come of age. All governments hold a conditional form of power and authority. The condition is that they use that delegated power and authority to safeguard individual rights. Yet, the fundamental condition of humanity is that individuals retain full control over their own rights, including those they conditionally delegate. They can exercise their rights, powers, and authority when government abuses its power, fails to fulfill its purpose, or when necessity demands. 

The Constitution mandates that Congress alone has the authority to declare and make war. No other branch of government, and not even state governments, may lawfully make war without congressional approval, with one exception. The exception is found in the last clause of Article 1 detailing the powers delegated by the People to Congress. It states: 

“No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, . . . engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.” 

This clause contains a greater principle: When necessity calls, the call must be answered. The rights of self-defense, which God gave to individuals in the beginning as the means of defending the Liberty and agency He gave them at the same time, may be exercised without governmental approval when necessity demands. 

Were Mexico to suddenly invade Texas, Texas would have a right – even a duty – to call up its militia and wage war against the invading hordes regardless of whether Congress sanctioned the action or formally declared war. So, too, individuals may use their God-given right to defend themselves and their rights without consulting local police, county officers, the state governor, Congress, or anyone else beforehand. The right of self-defense is inherent. After the right of life, without which all other rights could not exist, no other right is more logical, justifiable, and reasonable than the individual right of self-defense. 

This may be looked at a different way. Government has the privilege of self-defense. Where did government get this privilege and power? They received them from the People who delegated them. Ergo, the People, which is comprised of individuals working together by consent with other individuals, have the right of self-defense. 

Notice that I said government has the privilege of self-defense, not the right. Government has no rights. Government is the creature, not the creator. It must bow to the whims of its creators. Its creators are individuals working together as “the People.” If the People decide to amend, alter, or abolish their creation, they have every right to do so. This right to amend, alter, or abolish government is inherent in the People and is spelled out by the Declaration of Independence. 

Immediately after the Declaration states that government exists to secure our God-given rights, it contains this bold assertion: 

“[W]henever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.” 

These lines are every bit as essential as the more famous ones preceding them in the Declaration. They make it crystal clear that government has no rights, powers, or authority in and of itself, that the People are the masters over government, and that the People not only have a right but a sacred duty to amend, alter, or abolish the government they created when it violates or fails its purpose to secure God-given rights equally to all. 

There are a mere 1,300 words in the Declaration of Independence. Each word was chosen carefully and deliberately first by the great Thomas Jefferson and then sanctioned by the fifty-six men who signed it and the inhabitants of the states who embraced it as their mission statement. Of all the things they could have included, they elected to emphasize the purpose of government, the power of the People over their government, and the right of people to alter or abolish their government. 

These truths have many applications to self-defense. First, they show that rights – including the right to defend all other rights – come from God and are held by individuals. Second, they show that government was created and commissioned to secure the rights of individuals, including their right of self-defense. Third, they show that people may exercise their rights – yes, even their awesome right of self-defense – when government oversteps its bounds or when necessity requires. 

No one has ever taken away your right of self-defense. Unless you have violated the equal rights of another individual, you retain your rights fully and in their entirety. The laws and regulations that claim otherwise are by their very nature null and void. How can the creature take away anything from the creator? It can’t. And neither can government take away your rights. You may acquiesce to their attempts to disarm and enslave you, but government can’t strip you of something that God gave you. 

Were government to try to disarm you or take away any of your rights, the compact between the People and government would be snapped in two and you would be left sovereign and in full possession of your rights. This quiver of rights includes in it the right, and duty, to alter or to abolish government and to erect new guards to safeguard your rights. 

This understanding is not radical; it is fundamental. It was the understanding of our forefathers. It’s spelled out in the Declaration of Independence. The Constitution specifically confirms, and implicitly affirms, the individual right of self-defense in several powerful ways. The Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights is the most famous. It proclaims: 

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” 

Sometimes people get caught up on the “well regulated Militia” part, twisting it in their vain attempt to make it seem that the militia was under the control of the government. The militia, simply, was the whole body of armed citizens. That is to say, the People – the same “People” from whom government derives all of its powers. Congress is actually mandated to fund militias in the states that will be locally controlled, but they have conveniently ignored that provision. 

The Founding Fathers left no doubt as to who the militia was and that it was their unassailable right to keep and bear arms for their own self-defense. I provide several quotations. First, in 1787, as the newly written Constitution was being debated, the Pennsylvania Ratifying Convention declared: 

“That the people have a right to bear arms for the defence of themselves and their own state, or the United States, or for the purpose of killing game; and no law shall be passed for disarming the people or any of them, unless for crimes committed, or real danger of public injury from individuals” (Minority of the Pennsylvania Ratifying Convention, December 12, 1787). 

To the people of Pennsylvania, people had the right to keep and bear arms for numerous purposes, including personal self-defense, the defense of their state and country, and for hunting. So firm were they on this point that they said “no law shall be passed for disarming the people,” unless they had committed crimes or posed “real danger of public injury.” 

Second, the New Hampshire Ratifying Convention said in 1788 that “Congress shall never disarm any citizen, unless such as are or have been in actual rebellion” (New Hampshire Ratifying Convention Amendments, June 21, 1788). 

This is direct wording. To New Hampshire, no one except those in or having committed actual rebellion could be disarmed. A finger beyond that was unjust. 

Third, Patrick Henry averred: 

“The militia, sir, is our ultimate safety. We can have no security without it. . . . The great object is, that every man be armed. . . . Everyone who is able may have a gun” (Patrick Henry, Speech at the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 5, 1788). 

No one can mistake this statement from one of America’s most outspoken orators and statesmen. Henry said that the militia is comprised of every man who should be armed. Every person “who is able may have a gun.” There was no requirement to belong to a military organization to own firearms; owning arms for personal defense was a universal right. Henry would recoil in horror and revulsion at any thought to the contrary. 

Next, Joseph Story, a prominent justice on Supreme Court in the early Republic, said of the Second Amendment: 

“The importance of this article will scarcely be doubted by any persons who have duly reflected upon the subject. The militia is the natural defense of a free country against sudden foreign invasions, domestic insurrections, and domestic usurpations of power by rulers. It is against sound policy for a free people to keep up large military establishments and standing armies in time of peace, both from the enormous expenses, with which they are attended, and the facile means, which they afford to ambitious and unprincipled rulers, to subvert the government, or trample upon the rights of the people . . . The right of citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a Republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them” (Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, Vol. 3). 

In the full quotation, Story said that the militia should be “well regulated” and trained in order to keep the People, as he said, “duly armed.” The easiest way to keep them prepared at all times to repel “foreign invasions, domestic insurrections, and domestic usurpations of power by rulers” was to give them formal training and arms. This, he believed, would prevent future tyranny. He worried, however, that apathy and resistance to being martially trained to wield their arms would lead to indifference and, ultimately, contempt for the Second Amendment. Story predicted that this lack of care would “gradually undermine all the protection intended by this clause of our national bill of rights” if not checked. 

The salient truth is, however, that the militia, the citizens, or the People, may have their arms and use them against invaders, against insurrectionists, and against government. This is nothing but an echo of the Declaration of Independence which codified in law the People’s right of rebellion when their rights were being violated and the government misused. 

Finally, the town of Preston, Connecticut gave us this vow that we must adopt as our own: 

“All will agree that the people should retain so much power that if ever venality and corruption should prevail in our public councils and government should be perverted and not answer the end of the institution, viz., the well being of society and the good of the whole, in that case the people may resume their rights and put an end to the wantonness. In whatever government the people neglect to retain so much power in their hands as to be a check to their rulers, depravity and the love of power is so prevalent in the humane mind, even of the best of men, that tyranny and cruelty will inevitably take place” (Instructions of Town Meeting, November 26, 1787). 

Yet again we see that the purpose of government is to secure our rights. When it fails, the Second Amendment kicks in and the People have the power to “check their rulers,” tyranny, and cruelty. The People standing up in rebellion to tyranny is the ultimate use of self-defense. 

This fundamental right, this essential law of nature, “shall not be infringed.” End of debate. Period. 

Is this plain language unclear to anyone with a basic understanding of the English language? Of course not! The Webster’s 1828 dictionary says that “infringe” means: 

“1. To break, as contracts; to violate, either positively by contravention, or negatively by non-fulfillment or neglect of performance. A prince or a private person infringes an agreement or covenant by neglecting to perform its conditions, as well as by doing what is stipulated not to be done. 

“2. To break; to violate; to transgress; to neglect to fulfill or obey; as, to infringe a law. 

“3. To destroy or hinder; as, to infringe efficacy.” 

Let’s rephrase the Second Amendment with these definitions. The Second Amendment tells government that it must never break, violate, transgress, neglect, destroy, or hinder the People’s right to keep and bear arms. Period. No gun laws, restrictions, regulations, statutes, or policies are just, constitutional, or lawful. 

The exception – the only exception – is that individuals may forfeit their rights by violating the rights of others. A murderer, for instance, may have his fundamental right to life taken. A thief may be compelled to offer up his own property to pay back the bereaved. And an insurrectionist may have his firearms stripped from him if he attempts to rebel against constituted and just authority or breathes out seditious threats against the life, Liberty, or property of others. 

Linguistically, “shall not” is strong and unmistakable phraseology. It’s command language. One legal organization defines “shall not” like this: “Shall not or “must not” means a procedure is prohibited.” The federal government, therefore, is absolutely prohibited to violate our right to keep and bear arms for our own self-defense. 

A government website states the following about “shall” and “must”: 

““Shall” has three strikes against it. 

First, lawyers regularly misuse it to mean something other than “has a duty to.” It has become so corrupted by misuse that it has no firm meaning. . . . 

“. . . “must” is a better choice, and the change has already started to take place. The new Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, for instance, use “must,” not “shall.”” 

By their own reckoning, the government acknowledges that “shall not” means they “must not” violate the People’s right to keep and bear arms. It also admits that the government “has a duty to” not to violate in any way, shape, form, or fashion the Second Amendment with its guarantee of our God-given natural right to defend ourselves. “Shall not be infringed” is thus clear enough language for all but traitors and tyrants. 

Dear reader, your right to defend yourself with arms – any arms – is a sacrosanct, divinely-given, constitutionally-protected, common-sense, undeniable right. No one can justly strip you of your means of self-defense; nor can they do so without your acquiescence. Those who would take away your right to defend yourself have evil intentions in their hearts and should be not only distrusted, but immediately and assertively rejected as enemies to the Constitution, to America, and to human Freedom. 

Freedom is what’s at stake in this battle over our God-given right of self-defense. If we surrender our right to keep and bear arms in personal and collective self-defense, we open the door to a surge of demonic despotism. Think of the myriad of ways our corrupt, hijacked government has abused, mistreated, and violated us in spite of our 400 million privately-owned weapons. Can you fathom how much more savagely they would push us around and rape our rights if we didn’t have arms to defend ourselves?! 

The right of self-defense is a red line. Self-defense is the ultimate right – the defender of all others. Unless the Holy Spirit of the Lord tells you to personally comply for some higher reason known to your Creator, you must never comply with gun control totalitarianism. As Daniel rejected the king’s immoral ban on prayer, so, too, must you reject unconstitutional government decrees against your God-given right to defend yourself. Such disarmament attempts are devoid of logic, grounded in emotionalism, entirely unconstitutional, unarguably tyrannical, and utterly wicked. 

The Lord will fight our battles, but only if we’re in the battle. Sitting on the sidelines is submission and slavery. Not only will you lose your Liberty if you fail to fight, but you will lose your honor, your soul, and your exaltation in the Kingdom of God. These are the weighty matters of law, and we will account for them. Our Father in Heaven did not endow us with sacred rights so that we would surrender them when the spiritually wicked in high places demanded (Ephesians 6:12). 

We’re better than that. We’re freemen. We’re Americans. We’re endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, including the right to life, Liberty, property, and the means to defend them and hand them down to our children as a just inheritance. If the spirit of 1776 is not kindled in your heart, strike the match this instant. Bow down and humble yourself before your Heavenly King and swear on His altar, with our forefathers who forged this great nation, that your sacred rights shall not be infringed

Trump Won’t Save America

Trump won’t – Trump can’t – save America. No political fix can save us. No election can save us. 2024 isn’t the promised land on the horizon just as the 2022 election didn’t do a single thing to reverse the fatal crash course we’re on. Whoever is telling you that Trump is going to win the election in 2024 and that he’s going to save America is either lying or completely delusional and out of touch with reality. 

Almost 25 years ago, I looked forward and predicted that the 2024 election would be America’s last and that a third world war would begin shortly thereafter. Now, one year out, I’m skeptical the 2024 election will happen (and I think I’m close on my WWIII prediction). 

If the election does happen, Trump won’t win because the election won’t be fair. How can we believe it would be fair? The 2020 and 2022 elections were blatantly stolen. Illegal ballot stuffing and nighttime ballot drops were literally caught on camera all over the nation and ironclad evidence of electronic tampering by China, Russia, Iran, and a host of other nations has been known since days after the rigged “election.” They stole the Senate at that time and then stole it again in 2022 along with various governorships. 

The same criminals who brazenly stole those two elections are the ones in power today. The American People didn’t rise up in rebellion then, so why would they now? I think elections will be stolen in perpetuity until the spirit of 1776 rises in our hearts and compels us to act in a real way. And you know exactly what type of action I mean. 

At present, Donald Trump is facing four indictments in the courts and on August 24 he was booked in a Georgia jail where he was given a prisoner number and had mugshots taken. Yes, the indictments are bogus and hold no water, but there they are. The January 6th prosecutions were baseless, yet patriots are rotting in jail, justice has been defied, and the American People have done absolutely nothing. 

Donald Trump has also done nothing except submit to this outrageous abuse – just as he did nothing to prevent the presidency from being stolen in 2020 except blather and furiously post on social media. If I were in Trump’s shoes, there’s no chance in hell I would surrender myself to jail for these corrupt charges. I would announce that I’m not going to surrender myself and I would call upon the American People to rally to prevent an arrest.  

As it is, Trump is playing the martyr card. By allowing himself to be attacked, indicted, and even arrested, he’s gaining sympathy from the American People. In terms of popularity and poll numbers, it’s a dynamite strategy that’s working. Trump’s numbers are up. Sympathy for him grows the more he gets unfairly attacked and as the justice system is abused. 12.8 million people tuned in to watch the first GOP debate this week whereas 210 million viewers tuned in to watch Donald Trump’s online interview with Tucker Carlson which aired the same night. 

All that said, as glowing as it seems, Trump’s campaign is futile because of the organized evil and systemic corruption that exists. The courts have been corrupt for generations; we all know that. All the enemy needs is for one court to throw the book at Trump. Do we think the so-called “conservative” Supreme Court would intervene and save him? Perhaps, but it’s not something we can put our trust in. Would the American People rise up to free Trump by force if he was sentenced to prison? Would anyone lift a finger if Trump were to be slapped in cuffs and forced into an orange jumpsuit? They might if he stood up tall and called them to his aid, but he won’t do that because he continues to play within the corrupt system. 

Furthermore, there is talk that Trump will be prevented from being on the ballot in 2024. There is certainly hope on the side of the conspirators against our Republic that a fake legal case can be pushed to prohibit Trump from running. Professor Kermit Roosevelt III recently wrote an op-ed wherein he explored the idea being promoted by some that Trump is ineligible to run in 2024 because of the fake “insurrection” on January 6th: 

“Does the Constitution permit Donald Trump to be on the 2024 Presidential ballot? The question arises because of a long-neglected part of the 14th Amendment. Section Three provides that no person can hold political office if, having taken an oath to support the Constitution as a state or federal official, they “engaged in insurrection or rebellion.” . . . . 

“January 6, 2021 changed that. At least, it did if you accept the arguments put forward in the University of Pennsylvania law Review by leading conservative originalists William Baude and Michael Stokes Paulsen and in an article by Federalist Society co-founder Steven Calabresi. Trump engaged in insurrection, they argue, and declaring him ineligible for the Presidency is no more than the Constitution demands. “[T]he case is not even close,” Baude and Paulsen declare. “All who are committed to the Constitution should take note and say so.”” 

The chorus of Establishment shills in media, academia, Hollywood, and government are coming out of the woodwork to call for Trump to be made “ineligible” to run for president in 2024. They usually cite January 6th, Trump’s correct claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him, or the phony Russia “collusion” nonsense. Nothing happened on January 6th (a huge disappointment, frankly), all honest people know the 2020 election was brazenly stolen on camera and before the world, and the Democrats were the ones who colluded with foreign agents using Russian disinformation to frame Trump. The Lügenpresse will ramp up their lies and slander as the election approaches. The corrupt Marxian conspiracy that lords over us will pull out all the stops to halt Trump and derail any semblance of a fair election. They know they couldn’t win legitimately in 2020 (which is why they stole it), and they know that Trump’s mass support is greater now than three years ago. There’s zero chance they’ll allow a normal, free, and fair election – if they permit an election at all. 

This picture is an example of slander from the lying press. They put Trump next to Hitler to smear him. The funniest part is that Hitler’s claim about the “lying press” was right when he said it and it’s correct today when Trump says it. Take everything you hear from the controlled media – yes, even about history – with a huge grain of salt.

The Establishment may try to take Trump off the ballots, arrest him, or even assassinate him if their pseudo-legal attempts to sideline and humiliate him fail. However, I think the Luciferian Elite have something bigger planned to disrupt the election – something far bigger than Trump. 

I propose that the string-pullers will eliminate their inept, bumbling puppet prior to the election and use the event as a pretext to stall or suspend the election. Let me say it more clearly: I don’t believe Beijing Biden will be alive by November 2024. 

I think Biden will be removed by the same powerful international clique that placed him in office to begin with. I can conceive of multiple ways they may remove him. They could use another pandemic and kill him off as a martyr to the cause of lockdowns, vaccine genocide, and medical tyranny (regardless, I believe another fraudulent pandemic will be unleashed sooner than later and that lockdowns will be attempted again). I could imagine Biden’s cognitive impairment and declining health being used to justify his removal. And I could also foresee a false-flag attack that decapitates the civil leadership and paves the way for a military dictatorship. 

In my June 2021 article “The Coming Assassination False Flag,” I theorized that the ruling Elite would forcibly remove Biden prior to the 2024 election. In part, I wrote: 

“Instead of allowing Biden’s defective brain to continue malfunctioning on the world stage for all to see, or allowing him to die an ignominious death of natural causes after the media went to such great lengths to convince everyone he was as healthy as a horse, the powers-that-be might find it more useful to off him in a way that would allow them to seize even more power and to silence dissenters. 

“Think about it, the string-pullers have murdered people with two separate bioweapons – Coronavirus and the even worse vaccine that has claimed many thousands of lives and inflicted tens of thousands of horrific casualties including paralysis, miscarriages, and birth defects; have induced thousands to commit suicide due to forced isolation; have caused millions to be laid off or lose their businesses; have squeezed the global economy while prices have skyrocketed due to inflation and insane spending; and they’ve stolen Freedom from entire nations in such a recklessly obvious manner. Do you really think they care whether they have to take out a man who has become such a laughingstock and a liability and who’s now serving as a catalyst to unite dissenters? 

“Now, with the whole world snickering about Biden’s free fall into dementia, the election swindle unraveling quickly, and states rebelling against federal overreach, the Elite know they’ll need to act soon to mitigate the damages. How will they do it? There are several plausible scenarios I want to briefly mention. 

“Perhaps the world Elite will decide to give the puppet-in-chief a fatal dose of Coronavirus and then make him the patron saint of vaccination voodoo. Imagine that – the media would use Biden’s memory as a truncheon to bludgeon dissenters and anti-vaxxers into submission. They’d forever use Biden’s demise to discredit those of us who call the “pandemic” a hoax, as if feelings trump facts. 

“Or perhaps the ruthless Elite will decide that the Coronahoax is out of the bag and that something more drastic is in order to halt opposition, distract those peasants with their pitchforks forming outside the gate, and create a pretext for truly consolidating world power. The thing that could bring this about is an assassination of the president. . . . 

“In the wake of the 9/11 false-flag attack, the United States, in her “righteous” anger, with the full support of Vladimir Putin, declared a “War on Terror.” Who would oppose such a war? After all, 3,000 of our people were slaughtered in a horrific way on live TV by Arab “terrorists.” So, with so-called patriotism numbing people’s consciences, we invaded Afghanistan. Then we invaded Iraq. Then we went after other nations – Libya, Syria, etc. 

“Now imagine if a “terrorist’s” bomb brought down Air Force One or took out the president during his State of the Union address. Imagine if, whether true or not, the bombing was blamed on Iran – a nation which has vowed eventual revenge for the assassination of General Soleimani. If our nation’s indignation after 9/11 was high, what couldn’t we do if our leader was eliminated on live TV?! Our military-industrial complex would immediately gear up for war. Our media would beat the war drums. Our politicians would clamor for vengeance. Israel would relish and cry for a U.S.-led attack on Iran. And so a regional war could begin in the Middle East dwarfing that in Iraq. 

“Alternatively, if a bomb or bullet ended Biden’s career, think of the response if it was determined, or alleged, that the perpetrator was a “right-wing extremist” group or some embittered Trump supporters. If the January 6 false-flag Capitol “siege” was considered an attempted coup, an assassination would be considered outright rebellion. The military could be mobilized against “extremist” groups like Oath Keepers or against “seditious” individuals like Chuck Baldwin in Montana or Alex Jones in Texas. Congress could likely be prevailed upon, in a time of turmoil like this, to ram sweeping gun control “laws” down our throats, just like Congress foisted the dastardly Patriot Act upon us after 9/11. Would anything lead to a civil war faster than gun confiscation after the chaos of an assassination? 

“Furthermore, consider what might happen if Kamala Harris was also eliminated in a mass attack. If our leadership was decapitated in one fell swoop, who would take over? Something in me doubts whether the powers-that-be would ever permit Kamala Harris, let alone crazy Nancy Pelosi, from assuming office. I doubt, in the wake of a terrible tragedy like an assassination in such a time as we now live, that the normal presidential line of succession would be followed. As I wrote last August, I think someone even more radical is being prepared to take over and use the machinery of state to clamp down on dissenters and snuff out our Freedom. . . . 

“. . . I sincerely believe that the world communist Elite, who hate American and consider us the “main enemy” of their one-world schemes, will attempt – likely through some sort of false-flag attack – to overthrow the Biden administration and place a stronger radical on the throne. Watch carefully, prepare your family, and brace for the coming impact.” 

More than two years later, I believe more firmly that Biden won’t be allowed to continue to the election in 2024, that some catastrophic event will remove him from office and likely from this mortal plane, and that Donald Trump won’t be swept back into office in some fanciful “red wave.” I doubt many will agree with me. “Surely, you’re being too pessimistic!” many would say. “Donald Trump will ride in on his white horse and save us all,” goes the theory. “The American People will rise up and restore the Republic,” others believe. 

We’ll see. I don’t think it will happen. And no matter how farfetched you think my ideas are, you would do well to ponder them and consider what would happen, and what you would do, if my theories came to pass. 

For my part, I’ll do the same with the reverse scenario. Let’s assume that the people who just stole the last two elections and got away with it decide, “What the heck, let’s allow the most popular man in America to have a fair shot at the election,” and Donald Trump magically returns to the White House riding on a huge red wave of popular support. As much as I’d welcome that, it still isn’t enough to salvage the United States of America. 

America is on a collision course with devastating destruction and divine judgment unless the American People repent, abandon their hedonism and perversions, and turn back to Jesus Christ who is the One and only God of this land. As the God of this special covenant land, the Lord will not permit a people to inhabit it for long unless they serve Him. He will sweep us off this land as He has swept off past civilizations who violated His laws. Our perversions, sinfulness, and spiritual neglect have reached such staggering proportions that dedicated believers know that we are due for a major cleansing any time. 

When God cleanses a nation, He simply withdraws His protection and allows nature to take its course. This involves natural disasters increasing, enemies combining and waging war, riots to consume peace and stability, economies to collapse, drought and famine to quench the food supply, and tyrants to rule and reign with blood and horror. We can see each of these judgements taking shape now. 

I don’t need to recount the horrific, deliberate firestorm in Maui. There are still over 1,000 people missing. Earthquakes, fires, drought, and other disasters are on the rise – not because of fictitious global warming but because of global wickedness. Crime is rapidly taking over major cities. Sexual immorality, including the exceptionally egregious sins of homosexuality and manic transgenderism, are rampant. Child abuse, sex slavery, and Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) have reached mammoth proportions. Lying is commonplace. Contention is the norm. Tyranny is in the open with its mask off (though it wants to force a mask over your face to compel your obedience and destroy your health). The evil one and his seething acolytes are lording over the human race and preparing to institute a one-world occult dictatorship. 

It all sounds extreme to people who are extremely ignorant. The ignorant live in a faux “reality” shaped by the myth makers who the prophet Isaiah said would “call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). Often, the things that seem like “crazy conspiracy theories” are the most accurate. How can we except anything different in a world where good is called evil and darkness is considered light? 

Donald Trump won’t save us. Don’t Trump can’t save us. At best, if he were reelected – which seems a longshot – he could only slow down the rate of decay by a fraction. We’re collapsing under the weight of our wickedness. Unless Trump begins to tell us to repent, and then leads by example, all his noblest efforts to save America will ultimately fail. 

America will repent or America will perish. America will embrace Jesus or America will be embraced by divine judgments. America will expunge the secret cabal of Satanic criminals from among us or America will be dragged down to hell with them. It’s in our power to change course, to repent of our sins, to exercise faith in Christ, to become engaged on the side of truth, and to fight for Faith, Families, and Freedom. 

However, while there is a type of Great Awakening occurring in the field of politics, I don’t see a new Great Awakening taking place in the realm of religion and morals. Without a spiritual revival, our political efforts are futile. Instead of revival, I see advanced cultural rot, worsening contention, rapidly spreading hedonism, the total implosion of families, an abandonment of traditional institutions, an appalling decline of belief in God, the visible rise of Wicca and New Age spiritualism (i.e. occultism), juvenile rebellion against parents, parental apathy, and general malaise. 

Jesus Christ is our only hope; not Donald Trump, the Republican Party, or an election. Humble yourself before the Lord. You may falter and stumble along the way. What of it? We all do. But point yourself towards Him and steadfastly make your way to Him, trusting that He will save you and guide you. The inspired word tells us: 

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 

“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 

“It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. 

“Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 

“So shall thy barns be filled with aplenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. 

“My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: 

“For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth” (Proverbs 3:5-12). 

So many incredible blessings are promised to those who will humble themselves as little children and follow their Elder Brother as He takes them back to their Father. 

Dear reader, vote for Trump if you can’t bring yourself to vote for a worthier candidate, but, far more importantly, trust in the Lord. Believe in Him and believe Him. Pray to your Heavenly Father in the name of Christ. Repent of your sins by turning away from them. Do good as the Lord did. Purge contention from your homes and relationships. Seek the Spirit. Reject pride. Walk humbly following the path of the Master. Fight against wickedness in high places

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8). 

The Lord doesn’t require too much, yet He promises you a part in His victory over Satan, death, hell, tyranny, and corruption. He has already triumphed; He is simply giving us the opportunity here and now to show which side we’ll be on. There are only two options – Christ or the Devil. Trump isn’t on this all-important ballot; he’s not our savior. 

Our Savior is Jesus Christ. He is coming again soon, but the world will devolve into bedlam before that rapturous day. We can expect societal collapse, governmental upheaval, economic implosion, unbridled tyranny, and untold suffering in our day. We should approach 2024 with these outcomes in mind if we don’t muster the courage to do the right thing, repent, believe in Christ, humble ourselves before Him, and walk in His laws. If we will repent, however, we may expect to be saved as our forefathers were when they trusted in His holy name. Let’s serve the God of this Promised Land of America who is Christ and live.

Financial Tyranny

You’re a slave. I’m a slave. We’re all slaves. We’re in financial bondage to a group of maniacally insidious global feudal lords. They keep us in chains with money, debt, and taxation. We will never free ourselves from this savage slavery until we admit we’re enslaved. 

Taxation is theft. Inflation is hidden taxation. Government fees for licenses and permits of every conceivable type are other hidden taxes. Government “charity” programs are made possible by taxes and worthless paper “money” printed out of thin air. The entire thing is a charade – a house of cards ready to crumble. 

The national debt of the United States is currently $32,708,829, 263,293. Wait, now it’s $32,708,830,288,079. No, now it is $32,708,831,193,610. . . You get the idea – it’s increasing at an unfathomable rate literally every second of the day and night. The debt per citizen is $97,566. 

Each new dollar of this debt is another link in the chain that binds you to the financial overlords. They own you. They hold you for ransom. They hold your entire life in the palms of their hands. Their despotically arbitrary regulations restrict your financial Freedom at every turn. 

You can’t transfer money on PayPal without the IRS getting involved and possibly holding your money without cause for weeks at a time. You can’t take out more than x number of dollars if you go abroad on a trip. You can’t take money out of an ATM in many locations without a fee and without every cent of it being tracked. You can’t buy plane tickets without government taxes making up half or more than half of the total cost. You can’t buy a house, open a business, lend money, spend money, or any other transaction of note, without it being subject to denial or approval by this or that institution or by government. You can’t buy milk at the grocery store without being taxed either directly by taxes or indirectly by inflation. No, you simply can’t escape the pull of debt, the damaging attack of inflation, and the constant looking over your shoulder by Big Brother, banks, and financial robber barons. 

This is tyranny. This is oppression. This is taxation without representation. It is duplicitous, dishonest, damaging, despotic, and Devilish. It is part of the reason why our forefathers took up their arms and fought for Independence from their tyrannical government. When will we do the same? 

How long do we need to endure the torture our high-tech feudal lords inflict upon us? How much longer will we subserviently cower before the arrogant throne of the Federal Reserve, BIS, IRS, BlackRock, Washington, D.C., and all the other myriad financial institutions that take advantage of us? How long will we allow a clique of bankers – many of them foreigners, Judeo-Bolsheviks, and traitors – to manipulate and abuse us and hold us for ransom with our own hard-earned money? 

Will we allow ourselves to finally die an ignominious death of a thousand cuts simply because we weren’t man enough to stand up and fight for our Faith, Families, and Freedom? We’re at the point when the men of this beleaguered country will have to make the decision to leave their ploughs and pick up their pitchforks. The system we’re entangled in is not sustainable. It only leads to deeper slavery, more monstrous oppression, and bloodshed. 

We’re on the verge of financial ruin and collapse – engineered and deliberate financial catastrophe. It’s part of a long-term plan that has been generations in the making. Our grandparents and parents went along with it as the tentacles grew tighter around our wrists, ankles, and neck. Now, we’re passively and apathetically sitting still as the thick chains bind us more completely by the day. 

With financial serfdom and engineered financial collapse comes many things. First, normal items will become impossible to pay for. Store items, one by one, will increase in price even though your salary won’t keep pace. Luxuries will become rarer. Shortages will escalate. 

Then, when the dollar has finally become worthless and has lost its respectability, it will be discarded by our overlords and will be replaced with a digital currency. This currency already exists. It will be the greatest control measure known to history. No one will be able to make any transactions – whether buying or selling – without approval from a government-controlled or government-affiliated or government-commissioned institution, organization, or agency. And, naturally, these “government” organizations will be controlled from above by the same nefarious men and cliques that control it today. 

To get people to comply with this all-pervasive totalitarianism, the world destroyers will likely throw more crises at us. Perhaps another virus hoax to justify lockdowns and additional controls, or even a real one that kills millions and also justifies extreme government control measures. Perhaps they will bring upon us global famine, as I predicted in my article “The Coming Global Holodomor.” They are already committing widespread and frequent terror attacks against the food and agricultural industries, as I documented in my piece “The Terror Attacks We Aren’t Talking About.” They may even throw an assassination attempt at the puppet-in-chief, blame it on someone else, and institute Continuity of Government schemes to institute military dictatorship, as I predicted in my 2021 article “The Coming Assassination False Flag.” 

Whatever tactics this group of Elite jackals uses, it’s clear that their goals include reducing the world population by genocide, establishing total financial domination over the world, and ushering in a global Marxian government. This portends total mobocracy, bloodshed, collapse, and chaos here in the United States and abroad. Yet, many of us won’t go quietly into the night; we won’t peacefully board the cattle cars scheduled to take us to the GULAG for reeducation or disposal. And since many of us won’t submit to this fiendish oppression, it means war. 

Are you ready to fight? Are you preparing? Are you even thinking about the realities, or are you hiding your head in the sand? Turning a blind eye to the truth that chains of slavery are being wrapped around your arms and legs by vicious slavers who want to consume your soul will only ensure the nightmare plays out in broad daylight. 

Patrick Henry had wise counsel for men in a similar, though less dangerous, situation in 1775. He urged manly courage and duty in the face of an attacking enemy: 

“If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable–and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come. 

“It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace– but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!” 

For those so timid and servile as to recoil at the thought of fighting for Freedom, I rebuke and disown you. You’re not my countrymen. You’re cowards, pathetic, and spineless. You don’t deserve citizenship in this Empire of Liberty unless you are willing to fight like men. The first step is acknowledging that we are in a war and that we are under attack. 

Remember, though, we’re not alone in this battle. Patrick Henry reminded us that: 

“we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power. The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.” 

Be vigilant and brave. Do the right thing. Choose the right side. Join the holy cause of Liberty. Turn to God for support. If we be on His side, who can prevail against us? 

We have only sunken down into our current state of pathetic serfdom because we have forgotten the God who presides over nations, the God who helped our forefathers win their War for Independence, the God who inspired our Constitution, the God who raised up America above all nations, and the God who is the Lord of Hosts who is returning soon to avenge the wrongs committed by Satan’s henchmen against the Saints of our Savior Jesus Christ. 

We are all in grueling financial bondage, but the Lord who paid all debts can make us free. We are struggling in chains forged by demonic tyrants, but we can be liberated as easily from them as when the Apostles were freed more than once from incarceration and certain death (Acts 5:17-23; Acts 12:5-11). Satan is disgustingly impotent, yet this is the great day of his usurped power. It’s the day when the world loves darkness rather than light. But the unstoppable light will shine when the Light of the world returns. 

Resist the tyranny. Reject the financial bondage you are being bound in. Fight back however you can and sharpen your swords. You will need them sooner than later either to defend your family during the coming engineered collapse or against tyrants. Our forefathers rebelled over far less than the daily abuse and despotism heaped upon our backs, and they prevailed by adoring the Invisible Hand that controls the nations. 

If we follow in the same footsteps by humbling ourselves before the Lord Jesus Christ and fighting like men for our Faith, Families, and Freedom – even if it means literally fighting – then we will triumph. As it is, we have collectively been too cowardly, ignorant, or immoral to fight off the serpentine chords of the overlords of high finance which have bound us tightly. 

But today is a new day. What will we do? In whom will we trust? For what will we fight? Our financial bondage makes it more difficult for us to reject tyranny, but it’s our duty to do so. Let’s be men of honor and fight back at last.
