Yes, you read that right. Thanos, the arch villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a communist. This article will explain why Thanos’s philosophy is a great depiction of communism in action. If you haven’t watched Avengers: Infinity War just yet, you might consider doing so before reading further.

Thanos, the Mad Titan, is an alien figure with immense power. He possesses not only brute strength rivaling that of the Hulk, but he also possesses the keen intellect of Tony Stark and the determination and will of Captain America. How Thanos uses his abilities, however, is what distinguishes him from other gifted beings and even the most radical supervillains.

Thanos has one overriding goal: Exterminate half of all life to bring “balance” to the universe. Bringing balance and harmony to the universe is a seemingly worthy goal, but why does Thanos believe the only way to do that is by slaughtering one out of every two living beings? There is one major reason we will explore.

The main reason Thanos wants to wipe out half of sentient life in the cosmos is because he believes there are not enough resources to sustain life at current levels. So, to be merciful and kind some must be sacrificed that others may have a high standard of living. Thanos sees himself as the ultimate savior – the bringer of life, security, and prosperity.

Beginning with his own upbringing on his home planet of Titan, Thanos grew to hate the thought of poverty, hunger, and suffering. To alleviate the rampant poverty on Titan, Thanos proposed a plan to randomly, or “fairly” as he sees it, eliminate 50% of the population. The victims would be taken from all walks of life. This, he said, was mercy. This mass human sacrifice would allow the remaining inhabitants to have enough resources and flourish. For Thanos, happiness was wrapped up in the idea of material security.

Thanos’s genocidal plan was rejected by the people of Titan. In time, Titan destroyed itself as Thanos had predicted. This incident instilled in Thanos a sense of superiority. He became prideful and arrogant. He developed an elitist mentality. If people only did what he told them to, everyone would be happy and safe. Only he had the answers to the universe’s problems. Only he could save the cosmos from itself.

 

Together with a band of like-minded or brainwashed followers, Thanos set out to conquer the galaxy. This group operated in total unison. Theirs was a religious mission – a mission to bring humanity “salvation.” Their unity of mind and purpose was so strong that Thanos referred to these henchmen as his “children.” Thus, Thanos’s “family” is responsible for a large measure of the carnage so ever-present in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.

To achieve his goal, Thanos resorted to any and every technique. At times, Thanos sat in the shadows and sent front men like Loki to do his bidding. Other times, he used trickery, manipulation, or stealth. Finally, he used outright military force to overwhelm an opponent whenever it was necessary. Force and compulsion were essential to Thanos’s scheme. Personal Liberty and free will were obstacles to Thanos’s master plan. Thanos wanted to “save” the people in the galaxy in spite of their own desires, wishes, and choices. To him, this was true love.

When “balancing” the universe, no lengths are too great to go to. Victory requires sacrifice. If half of the galaxy must perish so that the other half can live in a utopia, so be it. The ends justify the means for Thanos. His is a blind devotion to his vision – a vision which he invented and, thus, which he is convinced is the only way. In his eyes, Thanos is a benevolent figure doing what is best for the “ignorant masses” who don’t have the sense or will power to do what is in their best interest.

Thanos’s mentality is identical to that of modern communists. Communists, contrary to their propaganda championing the “working class,” come from the upper classes of society. Often, these individuals are professionals, intellectuals, and people of high social status. They are the elite who think they know more than everyone else. In their eyes, only their plan can “save” mankind from itself. If some must be sacrificed to benefit the whole, isn’t that merciful? Isn’t it love to force people to do what is beneficial? This is the perspective communists are coming from.

In his book You Can Trust the Communists (to be Communists), author Fred Schwarz described the communists’ perverse version of love and mercy. Consider how close the communist vision of “utopia” is to Thanos’s vision, and how similar the methods of achieving this “utopia” are:

“Communists believe they have a destiny. Their destiny is to create a new world and regenerate mankind. To do this they must conquer the world, shatter the Capitalist system, and, by Communist dictatorship, establish the regenerative environment of Socialism. This new environment will rear the young to perfection.

“An inescapable step of their scientific program for the regeneration of mankind is the elimination of the residual diseased social classes following world conquest. A few years ago, the American Communist Party would openly acknowledge that, having conquered this country, they would need to put to death one third of the American people. This is not punishment; it is Social Science. It is not cruelty; it is “love.” It is as though a surgeon took the scalpel in a loving fashion to cut away the gangrenous tissue so that the new and perfect might come to maturity.

“Communism is applied godless materialism. . . .

“Emerging from its lair of godless materialism, dressed in garments of science, Communism seduces the young and utilizes their perverted religious enthusiasm to conquer the world” (Schwarz, You Can Trust the Communists, 15-16).

To the communists, then, exterminating entire segments of the population is “love.” Like a doctor cutting out a cancerous tumor, cutting off the “diseased” (i.e. capitalistic/Freedom-loving/Christian) elements of society, it is the only way to ensure the progress, safety, and happiness of the rest of humanity. The barbarity with which the communists enforce their scheme is irrelevant because the ends justify the means. And if the end is good, then the method, ultimately, must be seen as merciful – even if millions are butchered in the process.

Underlying the communist ideology is a rejection of God’s rule. Make no mistake, the leading communists know there is an afterlife and a higher power, but they reject the God of the Bible and His commandments and laws. Their pride blinds them and they seek to destroy God and to install the throne of their Dark Master over that of the Lord Jesus Christ. One of the ideologies that most firmly takes root when one denies the existence of God, or His right to rule, is the heretical and scientifically false dogma of evolution.

Darwinian evolution has marched hand in hand with communism, preparing the hearts and minds of people to receive the communist doctrine. Turkish author Harun Yahya has observed:

“When examined closely, the theories of Marx-Engels and Darwin appear to be in total harmony, as if they have arisen from a single source. Darwin applied materialist philosophy to nature, while Marx-Engels applied it to history” (Yahya, Communism in Ambush: How the Scourge of the 20th Century is Preparing for Fresh Savagery, 14).

This Satanic belief in the accidental “evolution” of mankind leads one to reject the notion of a superintending power that guides the universe; that is, the power of God. This rejection of reality prompts elitists to develop their own schemes and plans to improve and “save” humanity. If there is no divine plan, then the future of humanity is at stake. If there is no overarching Plan of Salvation, then a plan of salvation must be created and imposed for the “good” of humanity. And if millions have to be sacrificed for the “greater good,” then that is a price worth paying. To not pay that price would be insanity.

Furthermore, if there is no divine hand, then one is led to worry about things like resources. Communists and their ilk promote the myth that humanity is running out of resources and that the world is overpopulated. This is utterly false and has been debunked time and time again. Simple common sense refutes the idea. Yes, many cities are overcrowded, but the world is not. There are enough resources and to spare – and there always will be. And there is certainly more than enough land for everyone to live comfortably.

Yet, because of their paranoia about humanity’s future, and because of their lust for power and control, elitist communists seek to “abolish” private property, as The Communist Manifesto advocates. Only by taking control of the earth’s resources – importantly, private property – can humanity be “saved” from “exploiters” and “oppressors.” In truth, the abolition of the God-given right of private property is itself the greatest exploitation. This is true because without private property, there is no Liberty.

 

In his book Hope of the Wicked: The Master Plan to Rule the World, Ted Flynn described the mentality of the elitists who want to subjugate the globe in order to make it into a supposed utopia:

“Some of these people understand that many will die to create a world government, but they accept this as a necessary transition stage. Some in this faction have deluded themselves into believing that this new society will help people. This may be a form of sense of superiority that they, as the elite, know what is best for the people, or from a belief that one world government will prevent war, promote peace, protect the environment, and raise the people’s standard of living. History has shown that there are always some utopian dreamers who delude themselves into presenting a grandiose totalitarian scheme such as communism to improve or save humanity. It’s a philosophy rooted in the heart without knowledge of history, and with false compassion and false idealism. Karl Marx called them “useful idiots”” (Flynn, Hope of the Wicked, 100-101).

Just like Thanos, the earthly elite believe in their own moral and mental superiority over the “masses,” as they are insultingly called. They believe that their plan is the only one that can save humanity and that, therefore, it must be imposed, by force if necessary. If some die in the process, that’s a worthy price to pay.

Vladimir Lenin, the psychopathic mass-murderer who led the Bolsheviks in their 1917 coup in Russia, established a plan of obligatory extermination. Whenever the communists conquered a new territory, Lenin said that a certain percentage of the population had to be summarily executed without question or cause. Lenin’s quotes on the subject of slaughtering people are too many to recount. However, I reproduce one of them below. These were instructions sent by Lenin to local commissars ordering them to suppress a rebellion to Soviet totalitarian rule:

“Hang (I mean hang publicly, so that people see it) at least 100 kulaks, rich bastards, and known blood-suckers. Publish their names. Seize all their grain . . . Do all this so that for miles around people see it all, understand it, tremble . . . Yours, Lenin” (Yahya, Communism in Ambush, 35).

Hanging was one of the more benign ways the communists murdered people. Among their atrocities one finds accounts of mass torture, crucifixion, beheading, engineered famines, people being boiled alive, nuns being brutally raped to death, etc. And all this was ostensibly done to “save” humanity and advance mankind into a new golden age.

In his classic study, The Naked Capitalist, W. Cleon Skousen gave this brilliant description of communism:

“More than forty years have come and gone since Communist leaders first seized a nation to demonstrate to a curious world what marvelous wonders might be wrought. From that one nation they have expanded their grip until one-third of the human race now bows to their iron-clad dictates. Those who have escaped their tyranny bear witness that Marxist Man has produced a political monstrosity containing the collected relics of practically every form of human degradation and torture invented by the mind of man since the dawn of history. While pretending to liberate mankind from the alleged oppression of capitalism Marxist Man has defied the warm, white light of Twentieth Century civilization to introduce slavery on a scale unprecedented in the history of the race. While claiming to foster the “rights of the common man” the Marxist has butchered his fellow citizens from Kulaks to aristocrats in numbers that baffle rational comprehension. And while describing himself as the epitome of the best in nature – the creature of science, the supreme intelligence of the universe – Homo-Marxian has exploited his cunning to compound crimes which scarcely would be duplicated by the most predatory tribes of pre-historic times” (Skousen, The Naked Capitalist, 87-88).

Thanos is to the galaxy what the “Marxist Man” is to the earth – a devouring plague. In the cinematic tale, Thanos propagated what can be seen as cosmic communism, and half of the fictitious Marvel universe died at the snap of his fingers. Unlike the fictional Thanos, however, communists are all too real. Over 100 million human beings have been snuffed out by the communists in the last century. How many more will yet die when the communists snap their fingers?

Communism is the Red Plague that afflicts mankind. It is the greatest threat in the world, without one exception. It is a Satanic threat – an occult conspiracy. Those operating under the influence of this vile communist ideology have slaughtered, raped, pillaged, enslaved, abused, and humiliated more human beings than the adherents of any other political/religious system – or combination of systems – in all of human history. These demon-inspired horrors have been perpetrated by an elitist clique of Luciferian gangsters in the name of “saving” humanity.

At the end of the day, we will either recognize communism as the world’s greatest threat and unite to exterminate it from the globe or the globe will be exterminated by the communists. Society cannot survive, let alone flourish, if communism is allowed to exist. Communism is hate. Communism is treason against humanity. Communism is diabolism and organized paganism. Simply, communism must perish for society to survive.
